I heard your segment on doing special small things to make your marriage fun and I'd like to share mine with you. My husband of 26 years works a very stressful job and it was starting to take a toll on my usually fun husband to make his coming home one afternoon unforgettable and special. To cheer him up, I spent the afternoon preparing for him to come home. Started with a completely homemade meal. His favorite meal of course. Next I put on soothing music, set up a mini spa station in our living room. Don't worry, we're empty nesters. He came through the door and I gave no explanation. Just said, go get into relaxing clothes. He saw what I had set up and didn't need any questions answered. He still tells me that was one of his favorite memories. I felt blessed. I want to repeat that. I felt blessed to be able to help him through that stressful time of his career. By the way, he was putty in my hands. Ha ha ha.
