A quickie you send to quickierlora.com q u I c k I e qwikiecterlora.com so I got feedback from the quickie that I handled on air, so I wanted to tell you this can work. So the original was my quickie. Question A dear friend of mine wants me to take my shoes off in her house, but to wear socks, no bare feet or to wear shoe covers. I am a type 1 diabetic and my doctor recommends I keep shoes on at all times, even in my own house. Which leaves me the shoe covers. I broke my foot a couple of years ago and I'm afraid I will slip on the floor if I wear shoe covers. Background she is OCD obsessive compulsive, and if I do walk on her kitchen floor with no shoes on, she has to mop when I leave or she feels exposed to germs. Okay, I have walked with socks on her carpet. But I am nervous. I will step on a dog toy or a baby toy. I am nervous. I have had foot injuries that have gotten infected before the shoes on policy was in place. Bee sting, pedicure, wooden floor splinter. It's scary. Involves medication and doctor appointments and money. My friend knows this. Point me in the right direction please. Am I being reasonably cautious or bratty? Careful or paranoid? I think your friend is the one who's paranoid, but okay. Should I tell her I can't come over or put the booties on and trust that I won't slip? Many thanks. So I went on the air and basically I gave my answer. I don't have it in front of me so I can't quote myself, but I said there are socks that she could put over her shoes that had a rubber base which is like a shoe so she wouldn't slip. Hence she's wearing sort of a sock. That makes her friend happy. She keeps her shoes on. That makes her happy. Okay, so I got a letter this morning.

I love when you guys Feedback I was so tickled with your on air response to my question. I want to follow up and let you know that my friend was very touched when I told her I contacted you for help. When I shared that I bought three pairs of giant man socks with rubber soles that fit over my shoes for my next visit, she was grateful and moved and invited me back. I now keep a pair of these socks in my car, so if I encounter any other shoes off houses, I have a strategy for success. Thank you.
