But then… he smoked weed again.

Because the question isn’t really about weed. Or nicotine. Or anything specific. It’s about behavior. The cycle. The way one thing leaves and something else has a way of stepping in to fill the space.

His relationship with Beth is in a really good place. Not perfect — nothing real ever is — but solid. Grounded. Built on something that doesn’t disappear the moment things get hard.

And maybe that’s the real takeaway:

You don’t chase everything. You don’t fix everything overnight. You don’t always get it right.

But you stay.

You ride out the difficult parts. You remember why you chose it in the first place. And you keep showing up.
