She meets them outside, and together they head towards the forest to begin surveying the plant and animal life. Technically, her parents are botanists, but the colony has given them the honour of naming and documenting whatever flora and fauna they happen to find. Clara plans on helping in any way she can, knowing that this is an important task. The trio walks towards the forest and Clara notices a remarkable plant that is emitting a bioluminescent glow. It has fiery red petals that shimmer with an internal iridescence, creating the illusion of dancing flames. She crouches down to examine it and take some pictures. Her mum joins her, commenting on the.

Following their movements, Clara decides to call them Zephyr Drakes. She can tell that the creatures approve of the name as they dance through the air to the tune of the music they create. The Zephyr Drakes flit around them for a moment before taking off in the sky, leaving the Fitzpatricks to resume their exploration. Soon, the three of them reach the enchanting forest of Veda, on the outskirts of the colony. Clara's feet touch the soft moss covered ground, and immediately she is greeted by a burst of enticing scents. A delicate symphony of floral aromas fills the air around them. She takes a deep breath in her senses, awakening even more with the delectable smells. The canopy of trees above her is so colorful. There are leaves in every shade imaginable. Crimson, gold, azure and amethyst. They dance in the gentle breeze, creating a dazzling display. The sun streams through the dense foliage and casts beams that illuminate the forest floor. A creature darts across the path in front of them, resembling a blend of a porcupine and surprisingly enough, an anglerfish. Clara watches in fascination as its body.
