Miriam collapsed to the ground. Her skin… was white. Snow white.

It was like watching life being drained from her. Leprosy.

Her hands were cracked, her face pale and covered in white blotches.

She gasped. "What's happening to me?!"

Aaron's face turned ghostly. "Miriam…" he choked, falling to his knees. "Dear God, no."

He turned to Moses, who had just come running. "Please, brother! Don't hold our foolishness against us! We were wrong—we sinned! Please, pray for her!"
