Well, we will and welcome to our home, everybody. Derek is just. Derek's been up too long. I think I got up at midnight.

Yeah, it was 5, 5, 5 when you came out here. Oh yeah, because I looked at the clock.

My getting up at midnight, that's not that unusual for me anymore. Well, welcome once again. If you have been looking at the news, you know what happened last night. It was just shortly before Midnight in Washington D.C. someone decided that he going to race into the Hilton. The, the Hilton Hotel where the, the, the White House correspond. Yeah, I was trying to think. Correspondence was a word I couldn't think of. I kept thinking press. No, it's not that one. It's the Correspondence association dinner. They have one every year. And apparently the security there at the Hilton wasn't all that great because not only did the shooter manage to rush past everybody instead of stopping politely and

the, you know, allow you to check him for his.

Yes, exactly. Okay, I'm going to allow you to frisk me. No, we're not going to do that. Just ran past him. But he actually had been checked into the hotel, so it's a developing story.

He is reportedly a school teacher from California, which means he traveled all the way across the continent to do this. Thinking about his, his plans. Now we don't know if he drove or flew. Obviously if he flew, he was not carrying those weapons.

Yeah, it means he got them locally and, and allegedly was putting them together there at the hotel just before running in. President Trump is fine. There was a security agent who was injured.

He's a Secret Service.

Yeah. And God bless those men and women who stand in the gap between a perpetrator and our President.

And especially since Democrats in the Senate have been holding up a funding bill and they've not been paid in 70 days.

I know, I know. God bless them even more. You're so true. So right about that. So, yes. I don't know. And this is why I was a little confused. When you're getting a new. Almost the, the strangeness about the date because this actually was on the 25th. I don't think that the date itself had any numerolog. You were just being silly. But sometimes the dates actually matter. It's an anniversary of something that happened. It could be personally a date that matters to this person. So pray not only for our president and all of those who are standing in the gap, but also pray for the family of this young man, a 31 year old man. So I don't know his story, but I doubt that his family is very happy about it right now and they're going to get a glaring amount of attention.

Right. So it's. This would be the third attempt on the president since 2024. And sadly, polls show that in a growing number of people who identify as liberal or progressive under the age of 40, it's still 25%. So it's still a minority, but it's a significant minority believe that political violence is justified. And when you look at the coverage President Trump has received since 2016, where he's been cast as the embodiment of evil incarnate, you know, there are those who apparently feel that they are doing the world a favor, doing the country a favor literally saving the country by trying to do what he tried to do last night.

There are even some, I won't name any of them. There are some very, very large popular podcasters out who have been literally calling for violence. So we need to have that stop. It doesn't matter what side you're calling the violence against. We just need to stop that. And it gets into why Derek and I started PID radio back in 2005. Taking a look at the spiritual activity behind all of these events and you can bet that the spirits were involved.

Absolutely. If something like this were to succeed, you can imagine the rage that would erupt from both sides. On both sides. Yeah. One side would be celebrating and then the grief and rage on the other side would then lead some to rationalize violence in return.

And sadly, tragically, we are seeing you. And I often say X is a great place to great social media site because it is a place where you can. It really is free speech. So there are comments on all sides there. This Morning regarding this event.

Yeah.

And some of those accounts, some are conservative, some are not, are already blaming Israel. And I'm sorry, but that's just got to stop that.

That is just right out. Yeah. Apparently there's a photo of this young man.

Allegedly.

[B]

Allegedly. Yeah. Because there's no way to know whether things have been manipulated. AI is so good these days. We'll say again that you treated a friend of ours celebrating a milestone birthday.

Turned 80 with a video that looks for all the world like Donald Trump wishing him a happy birthday with a cake. And if you didn't know better, if you just were looking at it casually, you'd think, how did you manage that?

I know.

Right. I mean, this. This is the thing that I just find hilarious. It's the stupid evil genius theory. You know, the Mossad is so powerful, it can reach anywhere and get anyone at any time, and yet they're so stupid, they'll hire a computer teacher, allegedly from California, and have him post to social media photos of himself, images linking him to Israel.

Makes no kind of sense whatsoever.

None at all. But sadly, again, I will say the spirit realm are manipulating people's minds and hearts so that they want that to be true.

Yeah. Like Fox Mulder. I want to believe George Orwell. I just saw a quote from George Orwell that was posted this morning regarding anti Semitism. Anti Semitism requires. Requires one to believe things that are absolutely untrue or things that cannot possibly be true.

That is absolutely true. And there are versions of the old blood libel that are out there that make no sense whatsoever. But getting back to the study, now that we talked about the news a bit and we. Golly, we'd have talked about this the whole PID radio yesterday if this had happened on Friday night. But we are in the Book of Enoch today. First Enoch, because it is the last

Sunday of the month, and that is something we've been doing for A while. And it's part of the reason why this trip through the Old Testament through the Bible has begun almost seven years ago and we're still only up to the book of Isaiah. But it's like a fine steak that you don't want to rush, you know, you want to savor every bite. The Bible that is, that is so true. And the reason we're going through First Enoch is because it was clearly familiar to and held in high regard by the apostles. Not just the early church, but the apostles. There were some in the early church who believed it should be part of the canon of Scripture. But there are internal inconsistencies which we will point out as we go through that disqualify it really from being part of the Bible. But there are teachings, and if you'll go back through our first Enoch studies, you'll hear where we point these out, that teachings that come right out of First Enoch, not found in the Old Testament or any other prior Jewish writing that are part of New Testament theology. Paul counseling women, you know, to keep their heads covered in church because of the angels.

Yes.

Where do you see that in the Old Testament? You don't. The idea of an eternal punishment, about place of eternal punishment that is, you know, constantly burning. That's in the New Testament. Gehenna. That's not how Shales described in the Old Testament.

So things like that. And of course, most importantly, the prophecy of a coming Chosen One, which is the section we're in right now, the Book of parables, chapters 37 to 71.

And normally I choose to read out of the J. Winter translation. It's. The numbering system is radically different in the winter. And I really wish he hadn't done that. I like his translation a lot.

And it's free. You can download it for free. And we got a link in the. The program notes about where you can find that. But he also sometimes moves chapters around.

And so Derek and I decided that rather than confuse. Well, me because I was getting confused, I'm now reading out of the defender publication of First Enoch from 2016. Tom Horn wanted to publish this and then he also published two volumes set. I think it's two from Mike Heiser. It's his commentary.

On First Enoch.

And we also have links to those. In fact, the Skywatch TV store still, 10 years later, still has that special offer on Mike's two volume set, the Reader's Companion to the Book of enoch and the R.H. charles book that Sharon is translation that Sharon is holding in her hand.

And I'll tell you what, this. This publication of the R.H. charles from Defender. It's a really nice book. It doesn't take a ton of space in your library. Hardback.

You know, and nice big type. Tom Horn and I used to say we need books with bigger type in them.

Well, that is one of the reasons we like electronic versions when we can get them. But, yeah, that was the. We were trying to figure out where Jay Winter was starting as we begin the RH Charles numbering system, which is chapter 53. And we found after digging through the J. Winter translation, that apparently he just skipped

right over it, over chapters 53.

[B]

53. Because 53 and 54 basically are. It's almost as though 54 recapitulates 53.

[A]

I think that may be one reason he did that. That's my guess, because it is very similar. And it could be that he put this chapter elsewhere, because I think chapter 53, because you and I talked about that the last week, how he was sort of moving things around, like, okay, this is a puzzle piece that I think fits better over here.

Yeah. And we occasionally see that with the Hermania translation, which is the one that I'm reading from. It is available from Amazon as an e. As an E book, a Kindle reader book. You can also get a hard copy of it. George W.E. nickelsberg and James Vanderkam took the available Ethiopic, Syriac and Greek versions and compiled them, collated them into what they thought was a more complete translation. And there are differences between those translations. And so sometimes the numbering or the order of the verses in those translations are different. So they put things together sometimes a little differently. But it is a more modern English translation close enough to Dr. H. Charles that you can follow along. But we'll open with a word of prayer, and then we'll dive into one. Enoch. Lord, we thank youk for bringing us together again today. And, Father, as we record this less than 24 hours after the incident in Washington, D.C. last night, we are thankful that no one was seriously injured last night. We pray for the young man who made a decision that will affect the rest of the rest of his time in this earth. Father, we pray that he will turn to you and repent, as all of us, Lord, have needed to repent. Because as your beloved apostle John wrote, if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. So, Lord, this day we humbly come before you and ask for wisdom, ask for your spirit to guide us in Our study. That we would hold on to that which is relevant to your teachings. That we would add nothing to your word, take nothing away from it. Lord, we pray for your spirit to help us learn that which you would have us know. And we ask this in Jesus name. Amen.

Absolutely. Okay. Chapter 53 of the Book of First Enoch. The Valley of punishment for the kings and the mighty. And again, this is one of those prophetic things that is assigned to this messianic character called the Chosen one, the anointed one, the elect one.

The Son of Man.

[B]

Yes, the Son of Man. Right there my eyes saw a deep valley and its mouth was open. And all who dwell on the land and the sea and the islands will bring it gifts and presents and tribute, but the valley will not become full. Their hands commit lawless deeds. And everything that the righteous labor over, the sinners lawlessly devour. And from the presence of the Lord of spirits, the sinners will perish. And from the face of his earth they will be taken, and they will perish forever and ever. For I saw. This is an interesting verse here. For I saw all the angels of punishment dwelling there and preparing all the instruments of Satan.

Can we stop there for a minute?

[B]

Yeah.

[A]

Because there are a whole lot of things in here to unpack that deep valley. It follows at the end of verse 50, chapter 52, when the elect one shall appear before the face of the Lord of spirits, there mine eyes shall see.

Right, Right. We need to remember again, the chapter verses. Chapter and verse divisions were artificially added when modern translators began working on these.

[A]

Right.

[B]

And I think the first translation was around 1817. Prior to R.H. charles, there was another translator.

[A]

Yeah, I'm not really familiar with that. When I was aware that one had been done the R.H. charles into the 19th century, early 20th, he did a lot of translations of various books, but books that we might today say. Well, I don't know. Are they really. Where are. Do they belong in the Bible? Well, some of these they directly quote the Bible? In some cases, yes. Or are they are directly quoted in The Bible, by some of.

Right, exactly.

[A]

First century apostles and writers. Yeah, exactly. But where is this valley? Is this in what we call Jerusalem? And the reason I ask that is because when the Lord Jesus arrives on earth to rule as king, he's ruling as king. Now, it's just the kingdom is invisible at this point. But when the kingdom is made manifest and he returns, the Mount of Olives will split down the middle and form this massive valley of Jehoshaphat.

Right, right.

[A]

And a whole lot of events are going to take place there. But right now, if you go back to the Old Testament. Yeah, the Old Testament is important. If you go back to the Old Testament, you see that King Solomon built a place of worship to the king of the underworld, to Molech on the Mount of Olives. So when the Mount of Olives splits in two, technically it's, oh, there's that guy and all of his minions now. Yes. The abyss has opened up. And they have been given five months to terrorize mankind.

Those without the seal of God.

Yes, those without the seal of God. The believers are exempt, just like. Just like in the days in Egypt.

Right. Yeah.

[A]

When. Yeah.

Instead of having the blood on the doorposts, the mark will be on the.

So is it possible that there is a physical space beneath the Mount of Olives that will be uncovered or that it will be opening up this space into, I don't know, another dimension?

[B]

That's a really good question. And I wonder, and I've not done a study on this, but I wonder if that's the origin of the belief. And we're talking about the verses now in Zechariah 14, when Messiah lands on the Mount of Olives and it splits in half, that Jewish believers want to be buried on the Mount of Olives so that when Messiah returns. They will be resurrected. Yeah, they will return from the netherworld.

Yeah. And you have to get special permission to be buried there because that's a very special place.

Right.

[A]

The late Prince Philip's mother is buried there.

If you got enough coin, you can get buried there. I know the mobster Meyer Lansky got buried there.

I know he thought somehow that was going to be his salvation. But guess what? It's not. However, the late Prince Philip of England, the Duke of Edinburgh, who has now passed away several years ago, his late mother is buried on that. It's because she saved so many Jews in Greece. She kept them safe from the Nazis who were going around trying to round them all up.

Yeah. That's the reason. And I know this is not going to resonate well with a lot of folks. But that's the reason that Robert Maxwell, the father of Ghislaine Maxwell is buried on the Mount of Olives.

Because he saved a lot of Jews.

He was an MI6 agent in the 1940s and he made deals with old friend because he was a Czechoslovakian Jew. His real name was Lev Hok. And he called in favors from a friend of his in the Czech government in exchange for some information that was beneficial to the Czech government at that time to supply weapons to the Zionists in Israel that saved them during the war for independence in 1948. And one of the things that's hilarious, I didn't realize this until a few days ago. One of my secret pleasures is watching YouTube videos about World War II era aircraft. When I was a kid, I was fascinated by them. Would read everything I could get about the air war over Europe, the air war in the Pacific, and had model airplanes, you know, the P40, the Curtiss P40 Warhawk, the Boeing B17 Flying Fortress. The planes that saved Israel when Egypt was sending columns of tanks north along the coastal road toward Tel Aviv were German Messerschmitt Bf109s. Yeah, the planes that the Nazis used to fight against the Allies in World War II. The Czechs built those planes and had surplus left over after the war. They got sent to Tel Aviv on freighters in boxes marked crates marked agricultural equipment, which the Zionist air force. The Israeli Air force managed to reassemble. And they weren't exactly the same planes the Germans flew because they didn't have the same engines available to them that the. The Germans had used. But they were good enough that the Israeli Air force was able to hold off the. The Egyptians especially because the Egyptians freaked out when they thought they. Wait, we didn't know they had an air force.

Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. And after this, the righteous and chosen one Messiah will cause the house of his congregation to appear. The Ecclesia.

This is similar to the punishment that we see from Azazel from early in first Enoch, the first section called the Book of the Watchers. But the host of Azazel, the army of Azazel.

Yes. Now, what I find so interesting about that is that according to tradition, Azazel is all by himself in solitary confinement in Duda El. But I'm betting that he's going to come out boiling mad and he's going to join with Shemyaza, whatever you want to call the. What is usually called Abaddon. But Derek, and I think you are absolutely right on this. I think that the leader of this is Shimmy as the leader of the Watchers. And Azazel being his, as they would say in Great Britain, his lieutenant.

And that Abaddon would be the equivalent in the Greek of Tartarus.

Would the goat demons that were worshiped, the serious worshiped by the Israelites during the sojourn in the desert, be the host of Azazel?

Oh, I'd say that's entirely possible because they might be his kids. This entity not only taught warfare, he, along the other Watchers, mated with human women.

You were interviewing him and he suggested that Satan might have been the one who whispered to Shimyaza and his buddies and said, you know, we could build an army with these humans. Why don't you do that?

Yeah. And if, you know, if the one Yahweh decides to punish you, we'll totally break you out of the jail.

Oh, yeah.

But it was actually Satan's way of eliminating a rival, knowing that God would punish them and send them to the abyss. Like, okay, well, that's one rival out of the way. Now who we get next here?

And in the meantime. All right, all the demons belong to me.

Yes. The. Yeah, very interesting. Becoming servants of Satan. That's one of the interesting things that when you read the Bible carefully instead of assuming. And I have to laugh at myself because when our friend David W. Lowe wrote the book Deconstructing Lucifer.

I was the same 15 years ago. Yeah, it's like, Satan is not Lucifer. Lucifer is not Satan. Like, oh, come on, David, everybody knows Lucifer is Satan.

Because that's what you grow up thinking.

Exactly, because that's what we've been taught since about the third century ad. But when you read the Bible very carefully, you realize. Wait a minute, there's nothing in the Bible that connects Satan to the netherworld.

First of all, there is no Lucifer. That's not a proper name.

Yeah, the name is Helel ben Shakar in Hebrew, Lucifer is the Latin translation of the meaning of the word, which is light bringer or light carrier. But there's nothing in the Old Testament that connects Satan to the underworld. I mean, he's still got access to the throne room of God both in Job one and two and in Zechariah three.

Yeah, and I think he still does. I think he's going to get kicked out here pretty soon though.

Revelation 12, when he gets kicked out. But even in the New Testament, he's not connected to the underworld. He's not connected to Genesis 6 and the sin of the sons of God who mated with human women. So where did we get the idea that he's the Lord of Hell? It was developed by the early church. It's not in the Bible.

But he does wear a red suit and has a pitchfork, right?

Nope, nope, that's right out. Afraid not.

Nope, none of that. But what we do learn between the Old Testament, where he's the accuser, where he accuses Job, and then he accuses the high priest in the time of zechariah, in Zechariah 3, there's a reference in 1st Chronicles 21 where it says Satan arose and prompted David to call for a census. But the proper, or rather the definite article, the. Which is present. Every other reference to Satan in the Old Testament is not in 1st Chronicles 21. So it's not the Satan. It is a Satan, meaning an adversary. So it could have been a political rival, because we know there were rebels. In fact, even David's own son, Absalom.

But it also could have been a spiritual.

[B]

A spiritual right. David wanted to know how many soldiers he could put in the field instead of trusting in God. And that led to the punishment. Anyway, the bottom line is that between the Old Testament and, say, Matthew 12, where Jesus is confronted by the scribes and the Pharisees, accusing him of casting out demons by the power of Beelzebul baal, the prince, and he says, if Satan's kingdom is divided against itself. How will Satan's kingdom. Satan cast out demons by his own power. How will Satan's kingdom stand? It's like, oh, wait, he's got a kingdom now. So that's a big change from the Old Testament.

And he's saying that Baal equals Satan, Baal equals Satan.

And then Zeus equals Satan in Revelation 2:13, the letter to Pergamum. But we also see in Revelation 12, when he's cast out of heaven eventually by Michael, he's wearing diadems, which is a crown of royalty. So again, that's a change from, you know, the Old Testament. He's like the prosecuting attorney now. Suddenly he's got a kingdom. So it's like, what happened? That would make for an interesting novel. How did he manipulate the others in the fallen realm? Like, Shemiyaza, hey, go, you know, go do this thing. I'll totally bail you out. So, yeah, interesting stuff. And here, clearly the Essenes who wrote first Enoch, saw this as well, that these watchers, Azazel and his host, became servants of Satan.

I will read verse six again, just so you hear it again. And Michael and Gabriel and Raphael and Fanuel shall take hold of them on that great day and cast them on that day into the burning furnace, that the Lord of spirits may take vengeance on them for their unrighteousness in becoming subject to Satan and leading astray those who dwell on the earth. And in those days shall punishment come from the Lord of spirits, and he will open all the chambers of waters which are above the heavens, and the fountains which are beneath the earth. And all the waters shall be joined with the waters. That which is above the heavens is the masculine, and the water which is beneath the earth is the feminine. Now, this is odd.

This is, in fact, odd. Yes. We're talking. This is a belief in, like, the Hebrew cosmology believed that there was, like, an ocean below and an ocean above.

And then we'll talk about that. And they shall destroy all who dwell on the earth and those who dwell under the ends of the heaven. And when they have recognized their unrighteousness, which they have wrought on the earth, then by these shall they perish. It sounds like another flood.

Yeah. And this is one of those things. This is one of those.

Forget the masculine and the feminine.

Right, Right. The fact that the first Enoch here is prophesying another global flood to destroy the earth, to wipe away iniquity. This would contradict the promise God made to Noah and sealed with the rainbow Absolutely. So this is one of the reasons we say first Enoch should not be Scripture, because God promised Noah, and if this is true, then God's promise to Noah was a liar, and God is not a liar.

Yep. It's really interesting, though, because you and I have talked with. Before late Tom Horne passed away. He talked about this along with Donna. They have. Both of them had written a book together regarding what happened before Eden. And it gets back to what Derek and I believe was the very first rebellion. And then leads. It's part of this. What happened between Genesis and one, verse one. And Genesis one, verse two.

And the earth became void. Okay. Although most say an earth was void, but it actually became. Yes, it makes the most sense and probably linguistically was actually meant to be became. There may well have been a flood before the flood of Noah. Could have been a couple of them. It's hard to say. And that may be one of the reasons that the earth appears to be so very old. But if you and I are right on that, the late Tom Horn's belief was right and Donna's belief is right, that there was something before the flood of Noah, possibly another flood, then it would logically think that if we're going to destroy everybody again, it'll just be another flood. Yeah, but.

But again, God made that promise to Noah.

Now, the only other way of understanding this so that this would not contradict scripture, but it doesn't make sense because it says in those days, the punishment of the Lord of spirits will come forth not. Yeah, did come forth. Yeah, yeah. If this was a reference back to the flood of Noah, but again, it's in future tense, so that would not be correct. So, yeah, I'm trying to get back

I think this is a recapitulation of something that happened previously because it's the only thing that makes any sense, especially where he says, I won't do it

again, which would seem to be a flashback to the days of Noah. But again, it seems kind of odd because we're talking about the valley of the rebel angels. Punishment which is future. And then in those days, the punishment of the Lord of spirits will come forth. Like, wait a minute, where we at in timeline here? Again, it just reasons why this would not be in the Bible. And we agree with that. And he swore by his great name, henceforth, I shall not do so to all who dwell on the earth. And I will set a sign in heaven, and it will be a pledge of faithfulness between me and them forever, as long as heaven is above the earth. And this is in accordance with my ordinance.

Yeah. Now we get back to the punishment of the angels, verse 3 of chapter 55. May I make a suggestion to this whole flood thing? The. The tense here is perhaps intentional, but because sometimes we will see past tense, present and future tense all within one. One verse in the Bible.

And sometimes you'll get. Even though it is a past thing, you'll get suddenly the present tense to make it seem more, well, immediate and. And more relevant to the reader, whether or not. Again, Derek and I do not. We are not fluent in ancient Hebrew, so we can't speak to that. Mike Heiser could. He was. And he's even more fluent in it now that he's with the Lord. But this almost recapitulation of why they were put into Tartarus and what happened to the humans who were left over from that. And now we get back to the main action.

Mighty kings who dwell on the earth, you will have to witness my chosen one, my Messiah, how he will sit on the throne of glory because he is me. And they Parthians and Medes. The reason the reference there against the Parthians and Medes. This section of the book of first Enoch was written towards the end of the first century bc. The Parthians had been a problem. The Romans and the Parthians and the Medes coming from the east, basically today's Iran and Azerbaijan, basically, were fighting back and forth for control of Mesopotamia and the Near East. And Judea was sort of in the middle. So the Romans had come in at the invitation of one of the claimants to the throne of Judea. And the Romans sent help to put him on the throne. The other party went to the Parthians and said, please help us. And the Parthians came in and drove the Romans out around the year 40 BC. Herod the Great had been the governor of Galilee at this point. He had to flee to Rome. Made his case to Augustus that he

knew he'd grown up with him.

Yes, Herod had grown up with Augustus. Said, look, make me king of Judea and send me back with an army to reclaim my throne. Which he did. And with the help of. Of the Syrian legion led by Mark Antony, they drove the Parthians out. And so the Essenes for a time thought that Herod was the Messiah who'd been prophesied until Herod proved that he was not worthy of that title. But that is the reason here for the reference to the Parthians and the Medes, but also, prophetically, kings of the East.

Yes, I think so, too. We're seeing the elect one coming in and doing things.

And. And the Mount of Olives being involved in this massive valley. That may refer to the Mount of Olives may refer to something else. But it's very similar to prophecy that we're all familiar with from the Bible itself. Yes, this seems to be Ezekiel 38, slash, Armageddon.

The final battle. Exactly right.

And again, just. Just a little more historic background. Very quickly. The reason the Essenes were expecting the Messiah was because they had looked at the prophecy of the 70 weeks from Daniel 9, and they'd counted 490 years from the time of the destruction of the temple by Nebuchadnezzar in 586. So they were looking in the first century B.C. they were expecting Messiah any minute. And that's when Herod came in. It's like, yay, make Judea great again.

Yeah. Yeah. The reason I'm sitting here smiling is because you had said there are only so many verses in this. Well, this many verses could take us 30 minutes. That they say that they may break forth as lions from their lairs and as hungry wolves among their flocks. Verse 6. And they shall go up and tread underflow foot the land of his elect ones. And the land of his elect ones shall be before them a threshing floor and a highway. Threshing floor is this place of judgment. Highway is okay. Lots of people get to travel on it. But the city of my righteous shall be a hindrance to their horses.

And they shall begin to fight amongst themselves. And their right hand shall be strong against themselves. And a man shall not know his his brother, nor a son his father or his mother, till there be no number of the corpses through their slaughter, and their punishment be not in vain. In those days. Sheol shall open its jaws and they shall be swallowed up therein. And their destruction shall be at an end. Sheol shall devour the sinners in the presence of the elect.

Yeah. Is Has a reputation for. It's. It's essentially another name for Mot and the death God. A deity and a place. And it is. Had you could not quench his appetite, you couldn't fill him up. Sheol Mott pictured as having one lip on earth, I think and the other lip on the stars or something would have. Would have devoured everything and everyone.

Never, never satisfied. And it's. This is very similar to Zechariah 12. Behold, I said Jerusalem is a doorway, a portal to be shaken by all the surrounding people. And in Judah there will be a fortified enclosure against Jerusalem. And it will be in that day, the day of the Lord, I will set Jerusalem as a trampled stone by all nations. Everyone who tramples it when mocking will mock. This is from the Septuagint, by the way I'm reading.

I was going to say sometimes you see stumbling block. But it's that same idea of a threshold or a threshing floor, a place of judgment. You're either in or out. That's it. That's what a threshing floor does. It chooses wheat or chaff. Threshold. You're either in or out.

Esv. I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering or a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem will also be against Judah, that is the Jews. On that day, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will come against it. Let me explain why. You have said that twice, right? Judah, the Jews. You're not saying this as an accusatory. I just want to make sure. Because the way you said it. What you're saying. Honey, what you're saying is that Judah means that the people whom we call the Jews live there.

Correct. That we, the Church have not replaced Israel in the end time promises of God.

This whole idea of supersessionism or replacement theology is whacked.

We all need some good Bible fiber.

Exactly. And she referred him to me. But it's. The book is titled Biblical Zionism and I think it's.

Something that needs to be talked about in churches right now because we are seeing a growing voice is getting louder declaring that we don't need the Old Testament. The Old Testament is irrelevant. The Old Testament has been replaced by the New. And that because the Jews only follow the Old Testament, well, they're following wrong doctrine. And so therefore we are justified in condemning them.

Let me just suggest if you're, if you're just ignoring the Old Testament, no wonder you don't understand anything. Bible prophecy begins with the book of Genesis.

It does.

It goes throughout the Old Testament. The entire New Testament can only be understood if you know the Old Testament. If you just cut those pages out, you will run very quickly into error.

[B]

Yes.

[A]

It's easy enough to do anyway.

[B]

So, yes, I'm glad you pointed that out because I was not trying to be accusatory like God will bring judgment, but he's bringing judgment on everybody. He's not singling out Jews, but they will be there when he is part of this end times conflict that we call Armageddon.

We are part of the congregation because we have been grafted into that tree.

[B]

Yes. Romans 11. God did not cut down the tree and plant a new one.

[A]

No.

And it's very clear in that section where he's writing about us being grafted in, that we are to be kind and not arrogant toward the branches that were broken off so that we could be grafted in. Because if we are, God could just as easily break us off and he will graft a remnant back in.

Yeah, that. That is very true. Well, we've now gotten to the end of the, you know, study toward this month and Assuming that we're back here next Sunday, you know, God willing we will be here and we will probably be back in. Gosh. What are we in?

We finished. I've got the calendar up here. Yeah, we just finished Amos and there is a Bible study section under the calendar. Next Sunday we'll be in 2nd Chronicles 27 and Isaiah's. Isaiah chapters 10 through 12 if we

get that far, probably might get Isaiah 10. Isaiah's just chock full of goods.

So rich. Yeah, yeah. And again we love going through this slowly. I got a message the other day, a wonderful lady, very complimentary who said that her family is going to begin a Bible study. And she wanted to get ahead and start but wanted to know where we began this current run through the Bible and I had to look it up. It was June of 2019. So our first trip through the Bible began. We did the whole Bible from September of 2014 through June of 2019. And now here we are seven years later, we're only 10 chapters in Isaiah.

Well we, we have a whole lot better context for many of the. Look, we have a tendency to just blather on about things but is because we have and we are standing on the shoulders of many giants who've gone before Chuck Missler and Mike Heiser and so many others that helped us to get. Get a bit Tom Horn just to get a better understanding of what's in the Bible. So yeah, that's why we're going through that. And you know Derek's got a cane. It takes longer for him to walk through something.

It does.

[A]

What was that was that year Read through the Bible? I think was called walk through the Bible or something like that that I used to read every year go through that with it. And now I have to use my little, you know, I'm stumbling through the

[B]

Bible or crawling using my walker through the Bible.

[A]

Exactly. I have Sjogren's and arthritis and things like that. Look, I'm 73 and right now I'm dealing with a little bit of pain in my right leg. So it's causing me to walk a bit more slowly. But that's okay. At least I can get there. So that's all that matters. And that's my OG report that and I'm still working on the book because I go more slowly these days. Just my day, you know, I have more to do and I don't mind doing it because things you used to do I now do.

Yeah, that is, that is true. As Sharon has said yesterday and I hadn't thought about this way, but it's really true. She has essentially become a full time caregiver.

[A]

But I love. I love you. I'm not a caregiver. I'm a love giver. At least I hope that's how it's perceived.

[B]

It is. Most of the time, I mean. And I say that not because of anything that you've done. It's because I'm on the testosterone and sometimes that makes me a little grumpier. I try to take a breath when something hits me because I know deep inside it's because you love me, that you are advising me to do certain things. The testosterone sometimes makes me receive it in a way that it was not intended. And I am sorry for that. And I'm trying really hard to make sure that that is not how I respond to your.

[A]

Oh, honey.

[B]

Your care.

[A]

Those times are so rare and fleeting. So don't even worry about it. You're dealing with a lot of stuff and you handle it with a great deal of grace.

[B]

Yeah. Not. Not perfect Grace. But then, you know.

[A]

Well, Grace and Gloria are now in Florida. So, you know, they're. They're.

[B]

We're having to deal without Grace and Glory.

[A]

We were talking about our good friend Pastor Carl Gallups today and how he loves dogs. And he would all get so excited when he would come to visit us because Grace and Glory would greet him at the door, just, oh, Carl.

[B]

And then before that, Sam, you know,

[A]

and Sam loved him, too.

[B]

Yeah.

[A]

Every time he would get here and we had a dog, Carl. And I said, carl's not going to come anymore. When he finds out Grace and Gloria are in Florida. He'll never come back here.

[B]

Yeah. I mean, he's in Florida.

[A]

I know.

[B]

So the. The OG report for me. I had a neurology appointment on Friday. Basically a checkup just to give them an update. As you know, they've got me on the. The prednisone dosage, rather high dosage, 50 milligrams. They're going to start titrating me down beginning later this week.

[A]

Four days. You have four more pills left.

[B]

Right. So then it'll go from 50 to 40 to 30 until we get to the three month mark, which will be in July. And then we will evaluate where I'm at regarding whether the corticosteroids are working again. This is the protocol that the insurance company would approve, not the one my neurologist recommended, which is the intravenous immunoglobulin. But at the end of three months, based on what I've Read, the corticosteroids usually work and people start showing improvement. And if that's the case, then great.

[A]

I don't know.

[B]

Yeah, yeah. But we understand long term corticosteroid use has side effects, which I don't want. So by the time I hit 65, which is less than, what, eight months now, then we can switch over to Medicare, which will cover the ivig and then we go from there.

[A]

And it has its own set of side effects. There's nothing you can do anymore that doesn't have a side effect.

[B]

But the side effect profile of the IVIG is much lower than the steroids.

[A]

Yeah.

[B]

Now, I did have a video consult with my primary care physician who, God bless him, actually reads scientific research.

[A]

What?

[B]

Yeah, he's the one who put me on testosterone when my symptoms began to really manifest a year ago.

[A]

And I think it really slowed it down.

[B]

I think so, too. The testosterone is not to put muscle on, although that has been one of the effects. But it was to regrow myelin, which testosterone does, whether or not it's done

[A]

that or not, I don't know. But I do think it has slowed down the progress because you were sliding downhill very fast.

[B]

I lost 20 pounds in two months with no change in diet. I mean, Sharon was feeding me and I was just losing weight. And it was muscle mass. My arms, legs got stick thin.

[A]

Many of you noticed that Derek was getting skinnier and skinnier.

[B]

Yeah. I was like, why are people emailing me asking him if I'm okay? And then I go back and I look at the pictures from a year ago spring, and I can see why. So he has recommended another corticosteroid anabolic steroid, which actually shows good results with people dealing with autoimmune issues in the regrowth of muscle, but also the innervation of those muscles and as where it comes to my hands, that would be really helpful.

[A]

Yeah. I'm not a big fan of anabolic steroids, but if your other doctors all confer and say, all right, let's try it.

[B]

Yeah. He sent some research studies over, which I then turned around and forwarded to my neurologist office because I want them all on the same page. So if that's okay, then we will go ahead and add that to the regimen. But, yeah, I could. When you look at my hands, my hands have gotten really bony because the muscle that used to be in my hands has just been chewed up by my immune system.

[A]

Yeah.

[B]

So typing is difficult. I've got trigger finger on the right hand. Now picking up my phone. It's like the phone weighs five pounds. It's. It's really weird. So that is the neurology issue. This. This week I'll be seeing cardiology because of the.

[A]

You just had minor incidents.

[B]

Yeah, when I was in for pneumonia pulmonology with the minor COPD that I'm dealing with and then podiatry, because my feet, as part of this are mostly numb and often blue, even though the ultrasounds show no problems with blood flow. So, anyway, we'll be dealing with that this coming week.

[A]

I'm sure that this particular specialist often sees patients that have issues like yours. You also have really thick toenail, which Derek is not. Just so you understand, he's not diabetic or anything like that.

[B]

Right.

[A]

I don't know if the thick toenails are a consequence of what's going on, but they're very. I can't cut them. And because you can't feel your. The skin underneath your fingers. I've tried it, and I ended up clipping your. Your skin. And because you're on Plavix.

[B]

Right.

[A]

It bled for a while.

[B]

It did.

[A]

And I would rather a podiatrist just. I suggested. I said, ask about podiatry, and they said, yeah, it's a good idea.

[B]

They gave me a referral.

[A]

I want them to look at your feet, and maybe they can trim your nails.

[B]

There we go.

[A]

I'm gonna send you to a groomer.

[B]

We can go to Ms. Eileen at PET Cuts. She could take out the Dremel tool.

[A]

That is it. Your grinchy feet, Arlene. They may actually.

I guarantee I'd be better at it than Glory was.

Well. And Glory did not cover.

Other than that, Gloria was pretty. Yeah, she's pretty chill about it all.

We will be going to Israel in October, unless for some reason, the events in the Middle east force us to reschedule to next spring. Spring. And the possible dates in next spring. We. We've already looked at them. At least I have them. I put them on our calendar as possible reschedule date. And it's essentially getting past the. The big holy.

Days.

Yeah. Passover.

[A]

Passover and also past Easter because you get a ton of people coming into Jerusalem.

Right.

[A]

For Easter. And while it would be fun to be there if you want a hotel room.

Yeah, really. And it's expensive. It is, yeah. Right now the issue is that in fact, a friend of ours, tour guide from our 2023 tour, Ron Silberman, who's going to be over here in June, told me that the only airline that's reliably, reliably flying in and out of Tel Aviv right now is El Al. Which means the tickets are just really expensive.

They're very expensive. And part of that's because of the oil thing. Getting jet fuel is a bit more tricky these days because there's a shortage of it. So we will let you know. We're going to talk to the Lipkins again. We've already discussed it with him once and they said, well, let's hold off. So they eventually have to reserve a block of rooms at a variety of hotels for our bus or buses if we have more than one. So they need to make a decision soon as well.

[B]

So we will let you know probably within the next couple of weeks because they had said, you know, end of April to get back in touch with them to discuss matters. Yeah. A number of airlines, European and American airlines. Not American Airlines per se, although I do think they've delayed until August, but United Airlines from the United States, let's put it that way. And European airlines are holding off and flying into Tel Aviv until summer or.

Yeah. I think both American and Delta have a whole. Have held off until September. Yeah.

And United I think was also in there as well, like August or September.

[A]

And I think it may be the situation as much as also the price of jet fuel. I think they're thinking, okay, let's just not do these really long flights until we've got more reliable.

Yeah. Glad we. Glad we booked the flights we needed for.

To go to Ohio. Yes.

Yeah. Before things really kicked up. We'll be there at the end of July, July 24th and 25th for the Go Therefore conference. In fact, this is interesting that I put this back to back with last week's Iron and Myth program on demons in Hollywood, the demons depicted in Hollywood because so Hollywood sensationalizes it, you know, impossible physical contortions and it's always storming and it's, you know, that kind of thing. She said it's more dealing with the traumatic issues that offered doorways for these spirits to come in. So it's, it's good, I think a very interesting and needed and educational look at this, similar to the interviews we did with Russ Dizdar back in the day.

I've also interviewed a gentleman from the UK named Michael Cummins years ago who did similar work and again said, look, it's not sensational like it's depicted by Hollywood. So yeah, I think that, I think this will be one that people will really benefit from tonight. 7:00pm Central Time is when it's released and there'll be some short video clips that I'll be putting out there as well to hopefully attract some attention to it. We pray for cooler heads in this land to prevail across the political spectrum. May there be no calls for violence that are acted upon, Lord. Shake the dust of that town from your sandals as a reproach and move on. Lord, may we take that counsel to heart. Train us, Lord, to be good ambassadors for you in a world that is increasingly hostile to your message. Lord, we have seen it coming. It is prophesied in your word, and yet here it is. We are living through it and surprised when it hits us in the face. Lord, may we take this as confirmation and rejoice that your coming is soon. May we look up and see that day.
