Send us a textJustice is a term used for what is right or “as it should be.” Justice is one of God’s attributes and flows out of His holiness. Justice and righteousness are often used synonymously in the Bible. Since righteousness is the quality or character of being right or just, it is another attribute of God and incorporates both His justice and holiness. We cannot begin to understand God’s justice unless we first understand sin. Sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4) and iniquity (Daniel 9:4-5; Micah 2:1; James 3:6). It embodies everything contrary to God’s holy nature and is offensive to Him. Thus, sin is a crime against God, and justice demands a penalty of death and separation from Him for it But God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to pay that penalty for us (Romans 5:8-11; 6:23) and made salvation available to all who believe in His name (John 1:12; 3:15-17; 20:31).God’s own righteousness is provided as a gift to sinners who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and is based upon His grace and mercy in response to our faith (Romans 3:23-26; Ephesians 2:3-7). His mercy and grace are not in spite of His justice, but because of it. He loved us so much that, despite the fact that our sin demands our death, He sent His Son to be our substitute upon the cross, thus demonstrating that His justice was not violated, but instead satisfied (1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9).Having been made in His image (Genesis 1:26-27), we humans long for moral justice to prevail upon the earth and are outraged when we see injustice happening around us. Why do we seek justice for crimes? It’s in our DNA.As for the future, the book of Revelation reveals the justice of God in all its glory during the end times. When the saints watch the destruction of the earth, their song will be of God’s righteous judgment upon the inhabitants for their ultimate sin of rejecting Him (Revelation 11:16-18). And as 2 Peter 3:13 says, we are promised that someday, when Christ physically reigns on earth, God’s righteous justice will finally be on full display.Reach out to Juan and John through our website at www.gapmm.org.Fill out the "contact us" information and we will gladly get back to you promptly. We can also be reached at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2418910.Look forward to hearing from you. Send us a textLOVEMany words have been written about it, many songs have been sung about it, many fights have happened and many lives were lost because of it. What a powerful word. LOVEWhat do you think of when you think of Love? People, family, places, things. well the Gospel has a lot to say about Love as well. GOD IS LOVE1 John 4;8 "the one who does not know God does know love for GOD IS LOVE".Without it we are bankrupt1 Corinthians 13;4 tells us not just what love is but who God isLove is; Patient...Kind...it is not envious...rejoices in the truth...bears all things...believes all things...hopes all things...endures all thingsLove never endsLove does not envy, is not boastful, it is not arrogant, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs.Juan and John dive deeper into John 17;20-26 on how Jesus prayed for us to be disciples that love and grow with others in God's Love. Send us a textChange can be one of the most stressful things in life, even when the change is desired. Resistance to change is natural to human nature. In fact, there is a saying in neuroscience that “neurons that fire together, wire together.” This means that the more we do something, the more it becomes not only habit, but biologically ingrained. It helps to explain why change takes so much effort, and why we naturally have a resistance to change.Of course, we know that change is inevitable. We face change as we mature, as our bodies age, and as we interact with the world. We also know that change, in the Christian life, is desirable. In fact, it is God’s plan for us. He makes all things new Resistance to change—perspective is key.We can lessen our resistance to change by keeping a divine perspective on life. God’s work of renewal in us is compared to that of a refiner’s fire (Zechariah 13:9; Malachi 3:2; Isaiah 48:10; 1 Peter 1:7) and to a gardener’s pruning shears (John 15:2). The process of refining or pruning tends to be unpleasant, so we resist. But the outcome of a refiner’s fire is purified precious metal. The result of pruning is a more plentiful crop. If we trust that God is at work through changes and that His desire is to sanctify us, then we may more willingly submit. This perspective is what brought Job peace in Job 23:10.But what about the undesirable changes? We have no control over them, we don’t want them, but they happen anyway. We lose a job or become chronically ill. A friend moves away. A church leader steps down. Our resistance to these types of changes is even more entrenched. The end result of these changes may not be obvious. It is in these times that Romans 8:28 becomes a firm foundation. We know that God is working all things according to His purpose, and we know that His purpose is always good. So we can trust that He is using even undesirable changes for our benefit. It may be that an illness will draw us closer to God or draw our family closer together. It may be that God has a new calling for a new season of life.Juan and John dig a little into why everything changes and why we adapt so well. We must. Resistance is futile.Reach out to Juan and John through our website at www.gapmm.org.Fill out the "contact us" information and we will gladly get back to you promptly. We can also be reached at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2418910.Look forward to hearing from you. Send us a textJUSTIFICATION(Just as if I’d never sinned)It is by Faith in Jesus Christ alone that we are declared right with (JUSTIFIED) God. God’s gift of Grace through our faith is the recognition of our utter moral bankruptcy and our inability to earn God’s favor and that we must receive and rest on Jesus Christ who has done it all.“GOOD WORKS,” or our human efforts to please God, Should never be viewed as a means of our salvation, BUT, are clearly the evidence of it.We are all guilty of sin. GUILTY AS CHARGED. But the penalty for sin is death. Jesus took on himself, the penalty for our sin, which is death. Not just one of our sins, but ALL of them. You are free. The penalty has been paid.Justification means that all the demands of the law have been made. The sacrifice, the shedding of blood.Romans 3:24 “Yet God, in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Jesus Christ when He freed us from the penalty of our sins. 25. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding His Blood”.Mark 10:46 “Jesus did not come to be served but to serve”You were bought at a price, you are not your own.“Faith is just the opposite of our works based culture” Works oriented success tells us to hold onto our pride and show God that we are pretty good people” “See what I’ve done?”Faith means putting our entire trust in Jesus.Faith is a choice. God created us with the ability to choose. What’s your choice? Faith is Jesus or faith in you.Reach out to Juan and John through our website at www.gapmm.org.Fill out the "contact us" information and we will gladly get back to you promptly. We can also be reached at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2418910.Look forward to hearing from you. Send us a textgapmm.orgThe word "redemption" carries several related meanings, generally revolving around the idea of being saved or restored. Here's a breakdown:ATONEMENT:* It can refer to the act of making up for a mistake, fault, or guilt. This involves seeking to correct a wrong.RESCUE* It can also mean being rescued or delivered from a negative situation.FINANCIAL CONTENT* It can also relate to the act of buying something back, such as redeeming a pawned item, or paying off a debt like a mortgage or bond.RELIGIOUS CONTENT:* In Christianity, "redemption" often signifies deliverance from sin and achieving salvation.Essentially, "redemption" implies a process of being brought back from a negative state to a positive one.*The GOOD NEWS is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.Jesus paid the price for our sin and His resurrection gave us new life. What does Jesus death on the cross have to do with me?Seems like Jesus takes our sins personally! Why is resurrection needed to complete REDEMPTION?Death will remain the final enemy ( Hebrews 2:14-15) Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. Because of the resurrection we read 1 Corinthians 15:54-55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”`THE OLD IS GONE, THE NEW IS HERE1 Corinthians 15:5 Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was. 6 We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.Reach out to Juan and John through our website at www.gapmm.org.Fill out the "contact us" information and we will gladly get back to you promptly. We can also be reached at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2418910.Look forward to hearing from you.
