Send us a textIn this episode, John and Juan explore what is The Trinity.More like WHO is the Trinity.GOD the FatherGOD the SonGOD The Holy SpiritAlthough this discussion will explore The Triune God, it is NOT a comprehensive explanation of this subject. It is however, an introduction to who God in three persons is and how scripture describes each as they lead and guide our lives. How amazing is God's promises that Jesus told us that God will give us a counselor or advocate to speak for us and lead us in our walk as disciples. We encourage our listeners to open their Bibles for one, but also to get into a discipleship triad or quad to be a disciple and make disciples as Jesus told us to do when He was here on earth. We encourage you to pick up the Discipleship Essentials book by Greg Ogden and start up a triad or quad of your own.Learn more about GAP men's ministries any time at gapmm.org or check out our Buzzsprout website for all our episodes at https://godsamazingpromise.buzzsprout.comReach out to Juan and John through our website at www.gapmm.org.Fill out the "contact us" information and we will gladly get back to you promptly. We can also be reached at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2418910.Look forward to hearing from you. Send us a textHave you ever thought that you get power when you read?Well you surely can gain knowledge when you read. You can learn how to communicate with others by having the ability to read and write for others to get knowledge. More than knowledge though is the POWER you can have by reading God's word.John 1:1-3 says "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made."Reading the Word and learning the Word puts the Power of Jesus inside you. Having that Power in you gives you unlimited opportunity to not just share it but to speak it through you into others. Our culture revolves around power but as a believer, the only power we need is the power of the Holy Spirit in us and when we read God's Word, we have the POWER to speak life and light into the world.Join us today to learn how we experienced God's power in our life and how that same Power can change you.Reach out to Juan and John through our website at www.gapmm.org.Fill out the "contact us" information and we will gladly get back to you promptly. We can also be reached at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2418910.Look forward to hearing from you. Send us a text Jesus gave his disciples a challenge and command while He was with them before He ascended to heaven. Go out and disciple others. He promised He would give them an Advocate to be with them on their mission, The Holy Spirit. Not only did He give them the Holy Spirit, but as believers in Jesus, we too have become disciples and are called to disciple others as well with the Holy Spirit in us and guiding us.Greg Ogden wrote a book {Discipleship Essentials} and gave us an outline of steps we can use to make disciples. While Juan and John may be using this outline, the Bible is the final authority in discipleship training.Join us as we get into what it means to be making disciples and where to start. "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28.18-20).Discipleship Essentials: Greg Ogdenhttps://www.christianbook.com/discipleship-essentials-revised-and-expanded/greg-ogden/9780830821280/pd/821280?event=BRSRCG|PSENReach out to Juan and John through our website at www.gapmm.org.Fill out the "contact us" information and we will gladly get back to you promptly. We can also be reached at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2418910.Look forward to hearing from you. Send us a textWhen you think of or hear the word "disciple", what comes to mind? The Apostles that followed Jesus? Maybe even those that followed a cult that drank some bad kool-aid. Send us a textIn this weeks episode, John and Juan dig deeper into some of the characteristics of being a disciple. Today's topic will be the subject of prayer and what it means to commune with God. Not just to talk to, but listen to God. Taking the intentional time to spend listening for the voice of God. Either through another person, being present where God is but also through the small whisper of the voice of the Holy Spirit.Being obedient is a key in allowing the voice of God to lead you into where God wants you to be. Send us a textIn our first few episodes, we discussed the subject of commitment, now we will begin to talk about spiritual disciplines and our first is the subject of reading God's word. The Apostle John wrote first in his book in verse 1 in chapter 1,1.In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 He existed in the beginning with God.3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.4 The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. We see in these 4 verses what happens when we read God's word, the more we read, the better we know Jesus and knowing Jesus means we get to know God.Read His word daily Reach out to Juan and John through our website at www.gapmm.org.Fill out the "contact us" information and we will gladly get back to you promptly. We can also be reached at https://www.buzzsprout.com/2418910.Look forward to hearing from you. Send us a textIn part two, we talk more about being committed to God. We finish with this important topic of relationship with Jesus and what's really important in our lives. The quality of our relationships are founded on the rock of commitment, not the shifting sand of feelings and emotions. Are you committing your life to your work or maybe your hobbies? Are your commitments to your family, spouse and most importantly your relationship with God shifting daily? We will discuss today what true commitment really is, a sustained effort and dedication over a long period of time to the ongoing pledge to strengthen our relationship with Christ. Our true success comes from our commitments to the right things.
