of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty high.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
O, Silver the Lone Ranger.
The Lone Ranger
Sam.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
It,
The Lone Ranger
Sam.
Narrator
Throughout the western United States, the career of the mysterious phantom figure of the plains has been told and retold until the present day. He did more than any other individual to bring law and order to the lawless frontier. With his great horse, Silver, and his faithful Indian companion, Tonto, he roamed the west, fighting crime wherever he found it. And now the thundering hoofs of Silver return us to the days of danger and adventure. The Lone Ranger rides again.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Come on, Silver. We must hurry, old fellow. There's trouble ahead. And Tunnel is waiting for us. Hail Silver away.
Narrator
As the Lone Ranger and his faithful Indian companion, Tato came to the top of a small hill, they heard the distant chant of Indians rising from the valley Todo.
The Lone Ranger
That's a chant of the Indian God of war.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Not.
Tonto
Not right. Maybe we take look and valley.
The Lone Ranger
Get the horses back out of sight in case those Indians have scouts out watching, huh?
Narrator
Come, Silver.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Come, my boy.
Tonto
You.
The Lone Ranger
You see Indian? Look down there. That's a war dance.
Tonto
Oh, those fellers. Bad Injun.
The Lone Ranger
You know who they are?
Tonto
Mean take good look.
The Lone Ranger
That means trouble for someone. Trouble for white people.
Tonto
Oh, this bad. Tell me that leader Geronimo the fox.
The Lone Ranger
Hello. Geronimo's men. It's going to be even worse than we thought. But who are they planning to attack? There's no white settlement for miles yet.
Tonto
Two, three day travel.
The Lone Ranger
Perhaps they're planning war on other Indians.
Tonto
No, Geronimo not do that.
The Lone Ranger
That's true. Geronimo doesn't want other Indians lands or crops. He wants white men's gold and guns and liquor. And he wants scalps. He hates white men. And what? And soldiers, Tonto. Geronimo hates the soldiers.
Tonto
Maybe Tonto.
The Lone Ranger
Get closer.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Look.
The Lone Ranger
How can you get closer without being seen?
Tonto
That dance for all Indian. Him call other Indian to council. Yes, Tonto.
The Lone Ranger
Engine. Tonto. Could you go to their council and learn the plans?
Tonto
Tonto try.
The Lone Ranger
You went there. Could you get away safely? Me try? We can learn what those savage outlaws are planning.
Tonto
We can warn the people, Tonto, how to get home.
The Lone Ranger
You'd better run saddle and go there bareback like the other Indians.
Tonto
That's right.
The Lone Ranger
I'll help you get ready. Kimasabi. Whatever you learn will be of some help. You have trouble getting away, send me a signal.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Steady.
The Lone Ranger
Be here watching. Steady, white fella. Steady.
Tonto
There, There now.
The Lone Ranger
Now it's time to laugh. Good luck to you. T. Get him up. White fe.
Narrator
The savages continued their war chant far into the night. No one noticed Tonto as he joined the other Indians who came from many surrounding hills in answer to the call of Chief Geronimo. When the moon was high overhead, the leader raised his hand. The chance and dancing stopped. Only the throb of the tom toms continued.
Tonto
Many times white men drive Indian back. Many time red brother fight. But war God smile on white man thunder gun of white man better than arrow of Indian. That why white tie man all tie wind her red brother better fortune head. I lead to white man port. You get gun like white man who speak. Me honko speak what say? How you get white man gun. You think Geronimo fool. Geronimo called fox. Red fox with plenty cunning soldiering fort many time drive red man back. This time red man go with black peace pipe ask soldier council. 50 men go. Geronimo under blanket knife tomahawk. Once inside fort, we fight. You. You go as friend with peace pipe. You break oath. Oath who you Tonto speak of oath. Geronimo want gun of thunder. Geronimo get thunder gun for braves with fighting inside fort gates open. Other braves come in. We win great victory.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
All white men live.
Tonto
All red men win two feather of eagle. We be favored children of thunder God. We win great victory. But who drink much gun powdered red brothers and rule valley. Not white soldier.
Narrator
Tonto knew the plan of the savages. And while they danced and shouted, working themselves into a frenzy, he slipped away unnoticed and joined the masked man. Then, while the shouting and stamping was at its peak, a familiar cry rang out in the night. Miles away at Port Custer, 123 men answered roll call. The next morning, the commander of the garrison, Captain Ruddy, returned to his quarters. After the ceremonies of the morning were finished, he turned to his aide and
Captain Ruddy
said, peterson, I think we've heard the last of those confounded redskins.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I wish I could feel convinced of that.
Captain Ruddy
What? Any reason why you can't? Been over six weeks since we repelled them the last time.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, sir, I know it.
Captain Ruddy
Prior to that, they raided every few days. Took quite a lot to convince them that our guns were mightier than their arrows.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
True enough, sir. Their arrows were worthless against the stockade.
Captain Ruddy
Well then, what more do you want? Declare you're harder to convince than the Indians.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Geronimo is our leader, sir.
Captain Ruddy
What is that?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Well, he's known as the Red Fox and he's earned the name because of his tricks.
Captain Ruddy
I think he's shown us his last trick.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
The food situation is getting critical. Our scouts and hunters are coming back practically empty handed.
Captain Ruddy
You think?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I think. If you don't mind my saying so, the Geronimo is planning to starve us out the devil. And the rate the food's coming in and the rate the supply is decreasing, he's in a fair way to succeed.
Captain Ruddy
Peterson, you know Geronimo better than the other soldiers, don't you?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I fought him a long time, sir.
Captain Ruddy
Is he smart enough to think of driving all the game from around here?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
He's smart enough to think of anything. And he's smart enough to want our guns real bad.
Captain Ruddy
Suppose we send a messenger to find him and try to make some terms of peace.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
He'd agree to anything. But he wouldn't keep his word. No, not as long as he can benefit by breaking it. Geronimo hates white men, he hates soldiers in particular, and he loves fighting. He's the most treacherous skunk alive I know. Sir. I've seen Geronimo in action at close range.
Captain Ruddy
What's the trouble?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I don't know, sir. I'll go see. Captain Ruddy. He's bound to see you. A masked man.
The Lone Ranger
Bring your commandant.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
I'll talk to no one else.
Captain Ruddy
Silence.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
There's the Commandant. It's Captain Ruddy.
The Lone Ranger
Captain Ruddy, are you in command of this garrison?
Captain Ruddy
I am.
The Lone Ranger
Then you're the man I want to speak to, Captain.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
We done our best, but him and that engine with him wouldn't stop.
Captain Ruddy
You all had short orders. Yeah, but you can't shoot a man down like that.
The Lone Ranger
Your guards aren't to blame.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
He just grabbed my gun and the
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
engine grabbed mine and in the. Come.
Captain Ruddy
What do you want?
The Lone Ranger
To speak to you alone.
Captain Ruddy
Who are you? Remove that mask.
The Lone Ranger
If you want to speak, I'll speak with a mask on. My identity doesn't matter. I've come with news of Geronimo.
Captain Ruddy
After the man. Remove the mask.
Tonto
Stand away from me.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Look at them guns.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Did you see him draw?
The Lone Ranger
Captain, if you want to prevent the loss of every man in your detachment, you listen to me. This Indian is a friend of mine.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
I don't care for Indians, no matter who they are.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
What's that got to do with it?
The Lone Ranger
Why, I. Toto had just come from a meeting of Indians in a valley quite away from here. Geronimo is calling them together.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
So he's still making plans, huh?
The Lone Ranger
I know what his plans are, and I came here to give them to you. Captain Ruddy, do you want them?
Captain Ruddy
What are they?
The Lone Ranger
Come into your quarters. I'll tell them to you there. Toto, you take care of my horse.
Captain Ruddy
Come in, then. Peterson, stand at the door and keep your hands on your guns. You men, guard the Indian. Watch the two horses.
The Lone Ranger
Thank you, Captain.
Captain Ruddy
Ruddy, sit down there.
The Lone Ranger
I prefer to stand.
Captain Ruddy
Very well, stand. Now start talking.
The Lone Ranger
I've tried to come to you as a friend.
Captain Ruddy
Then remove your mask.
The Lone Ranger
Geronimo is planning to attack you with men enough to outnumber you 10 to 1.
Captain Ruddy
Let him. He's tried that before. We've been able to repulse him each
The Lone Ranger
time, but this time he's coming forward and leaving his savages a short distance away from the force. He's going to bring only about 50 men with him, and he'll carry a flag of truce.
Tonto
Geronimo.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Quiet.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, sir.
Captain Ruddy
You say Geronimo is coming here with a flag of truce?
The Lone Ranger
That's his plan.
Captain Ruddy
Not to surrender?
The Lone Ranger
No.
Captain Ruddy
Or talk terms of peace?
The Lone Ranger
No.
Captain Ruddy
Then what?
The Lone Ranger
He plans to get inside your garrison with 50 men coming here under the protection of the flag of truce. At his signal, each man will draw a knife from beneath his blanket. They'll attack your soldiers and take them by surprise.
Captain Ruddy
Why, that's while eating the.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Yes.
The Lone Ranger
While your men are fighting with the 50 savages, the gates will be opened so the entire force of Indians can enter your fortune.
Captain Ruddy
So that's his plan.
The Lone Ranger
Knowing of it, you could, of course, refuse to accept the flag of truce
Captain Ruddy
and merely postpone the fight. That's bound to come.
The Lone Ranger
Exactly.
Captain Ruddy
And stay here until we're starved out.
The Lone Ranger
Are you short of food? Yes.
Captain Ruddy
We thought Geronimo was planning to starve us out.
The Lone Ranger
That might be his next plan. If this one fails.
Captain Ruddy
Thank you for the information. I'll use my judgment in regard to acting on it.
The Lone Ranger
That means you'll do one of two things. You'll acknowledge the flag of truce and let yourself and your garrison be wiped out. Or you'll postpone the end. Geronimo will have other plans.
Captain Ruddy
Perhaps you have a suggestion?
The Lone Ranger
That's why I came here.
Captain Ruddy
And why do you think I'll follow your suggestion? You come here masked. You don't reveal your identity.
The Lone Ranger
I have a plan which I think will end the war against Geronimo for all time.
Captain Ruddy
Plan?
The Lone Ranger
Yes. Will you listen to it?
Captain Ruddy
Listen. I won't agree to accept it.
The Lone Ranger
However, Captain Ruddy, you're a hard man to convince. I don't know how long you've been in the west or what messages your scouts have brought to you.
Captain Ruddy
I've been in the west for a long time. My scouts bring me news of what happens.
The Lone Ranger
Very well, then. Look at these bullets.
Captain Ruddy
Bullets?
The Lone Ranger
Examine them.
Captain Ruddy
These are not leading.
The Lone Ranger
No, they're not lead, Captain Ruddy.
Captain Ruddy
Silver. This looks like silver.
The Lone Ranger
They're made of silver.
Captain Ruddy
Then you. You must be. I begin to understand. Suppose you outline your plan to me.
The Lone Ranger
Thank you, Captain Ruddy.
Captain Ruddy
Sit down. Sit down there and talk. Peterson.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, sir.
Captain Ruddy
Leave us here alone.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Alone, sir?
Captain Ruddy
I said to leave us here alone. I'm going to listen to the plan of the Lone Ranger.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
The curtain falls on the first act
Tonto
of our Lone Ranger drama.
Captain Ruddy
Before the next exciting scenes.
The Lone Ranger
Please permit us to pause for just a few moments.
Narrator
And now to continue the story. The Lone Ranger and Tanto learned of a plot by Geronimo and his savage followers to attack a garrison. The Lone Ranger went to Captain Ruddy, commander of Fort Custer, and persuaded him to listen to his plans. Our next scene takes us into the garrison just outside the door of Captain Ruddy's quarters. Peterson, his aide, is there with Tonto.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I wonder if there's any trouble in there. The captain and your friend have been talking a long time. What's the scheme? To be Indian?
Tonto
Tonto not know.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Captain Ruddy's got a bad temper when he's riled up all right. I wonder if they are again.
Captain Ruddy
No.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
You don't think so, huh?
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
No.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Look here, Donno.
The Lone Ranger
Huh?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
How do you think we could wipe out Geronimo for good?
Tonto
Maybe.
Narrator
Captain.
The Lone Ranger
Fix them.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I wish.
Captain Ruddy
Lieutenant.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, sir.
Captain Ruddy
Pass the word to have the bugler sound assembly.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Assembly?
Captain Ruddy
Pass the word.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, right away, sir. Pass the word to sound assembly.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Have the bugler sound assembly. What about the mask man?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, sir.
Captain Ruddy
My full equipment. Have the orderly bring up my horse.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, sir.
Narrator
When the men were lined up, there were expressions of surprise and wonder in their faces. Finally, Captain Ruddy spoke.
Captain Ruddy
Men, we're threatened with a starvation if we remain here. If we can drive out the outlaw savages under Geronimo for good, we'll have no further trouble. We're going to make a move that will accomplish one of two things. It will either hasten our finish or make this country secure for all time from the massacres of Geronimo and his followers. I'm not asking you to make a Choice? I've already made it for you. We're going to leave the garrison behind us.
The Lone Ranger
Men are about ready, Captain.
Captain Ruddy
Yes, I'll lead them out. I am putting the entire future of Fort Custer in your hands.
The Lone Ranger
Thank you, Captain Ruddy.
Captain Ruddy
If your plan succeeds, Congress shall hear about it. Peterson.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, sir.
Captain Ruddy
You will remain behind and take orders from the man who wears the mask.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
But, sir, I. Yes, sir. Very good, sir. Your horse, Captain.
Captain Ruddy
Now, my friend, may heaven guide you.
The Lone Ranger
You'll have to close the gates behind them, Peterson.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I wonder why he left me behind.
The Lone Ranger
Because he trusted you.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
You, the Indian and me.
The Lone Ranger
Three of us and all of Geronimo's band will be coming here very soon.
Tonto
Me help close gate. And this.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Heavy,
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
heavy.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
There. Barred and set tight. Now what's ordered, sir.
The Lone Ranger
Now, Peterson, we have nothing to do but wait until Geronimo arrives with his false flag of truce. I don't think we'll have long to wait.

Narrator
In due time. The Indians rode into view at the top of a rise a short distance away and approached the fort. Two score and 10 of them, with blankets draped from their shoulders, reined in their mustangs, while Geronimo himself rode a few paces forward carrying the flag of truce.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Captain.
Tonto
Captain. Your red brother would speak of peace.
The Lone Ranger
Answer him, Peterson. You think he sees me? Yes. He's looking right at you.
Tonto
What do you want? It is Geronimo who comes.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
What do you want?
Tonto
I come talk of peace.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Who are those men with you?
Tonto
They come unarmed.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
You guarantee they don't carry weapons?
Tonto
I give words, open gates. We come make terms.
The Lone Ranger
Shall I tell him to come in? Yes.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
We'll open the gates. Come in. In single file. Leave your horses outside.
Tonto
We obey there.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I reckon the next few minutes we'll see things happen.
The Lone Ranger
Yes.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Now to get that gate open.
Tonto
Totto helpin you.
The Lone Ranger
Not too wide, Totto. Just enough for one man at a time to slip through. I told you what to say, Peterson.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yep, I understand. I'll do my best.
The Lone Ranger
I'll keep in the background where they won't see me at first. There they come.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I'm in single files. Geronimo, you first. The others right behind you. We're going to let you in one at a time, understand?
Tonto
I come leg of truce.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
That's all right. Just step right inside here.
Tonto
All right, close the mouth.
The Lone Ranger
The rest of your men will be admitted just as soon as we've looked beneath that blanket you're wearing.
Tonto
Become flag of true searching. Here.
The Lone Ranger
Here.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Knife. You.
Tonto
You all right.
The Lone Ranger
Geronimo, you violated the flag of truce by coming here armed. We took the right to search you.
Tonto
You do not trust me.
The Lone Ranger
We don't trust you at all. All right, Toddo, let the next man in.
Tonto
You come.
The Lone Ranger
Look beneath this Indian's black.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I've got him. Here's a knife. All right, redskin, get over there beside Geronimo. I'm holding a gun on you.
The Lone Ranger
Not a word of warning from you, Geronimo. At the first outcry, you'll die. Now, let the rest of the men in. One by one. We'll find weapons beneath every one of their blankets.
Narrator
One at a time. The 50 men who accompanied Geronimo were admitted through the narrow opening of the gate and disarmed. The helpless, enraged Indians were herded into a corner of the garrison and held there under the guns of the Lone Ranger and Peterson, the captain's aide. Then the gate was once more closed and barred.
The Lone Ranger
Now, Geronimo, we found that your flag of truce was meaningless.
Tonto
What you do you see?
The Lone Ranger
There are no soldiers in the garrison. You've come to fight an enemy that doesn't exist. You know where the soldiers are.
Tonto
This trick, it is a trick.
The Lone Ranger
The soldiers are outside waiting for you
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
and all your men to surrender.
Tonto
Geronimo never surrendered a white man.
The Lone Ranger
As to that, we shall see.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Here, Silver.
Tonto
Come, white feller.
The Lone Ranger
Peterson, you know how to leave the fort? Go now and join your company.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Yes, sir. But before I go, will you tell me how long it'll be before you join us?
The Lone Ranger
Inside of five minutes.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
You're sure it won't be longer than that?
The Lone Ranger
I'm sure.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I'll tell the Captain.
The Lone Ranger
Yep. You ready, fellow?
Captain Ruddy
Tommy?
The Lone Ranger
Ready.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Geronimo, there is no food here. The soldiers are no longer in the fort. They're outside.
Tonto
Geronimo kill old white man.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Portrick, you know that no one can leave the fort while those men are outside. To prevent A when all your men are inside, no one will be able to leave in the face of the army guns.
Tonto
Sorono got many hundred warrior outside.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
But those warriors are waiting for your signal to come inside.
Tonto
They not kill em. Signal.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
When that signal is given, they'll storm through the gates on their mustangs. Once in, there'll be only one way for them to leave, and that is by surrendering to the army.
Tonto
Geronimo will never give signal.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
You'll not need to give the signal.
The Lone Ranger
Get the gates open, Tarto, just a little. The braves will open them wide when they come.
Tonto
Gate open now.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Geronimo, do you still refuse to give this signal for your men?
Tonto
Me not give em it.
The Lone Ranger
Very well then.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Tato will give it for you. Tato, the signal. The battle cry of Geronimo. Quiet, cousin. Here they come. They can't hear you above theirselves. Geronimo, here they come. Into the trap. All right. Tunnel.
Narrator
The Lone Ranger encounter rode out through the gates of the fort. As the savages rushed toward him, the Indians, intent on the massacre and the eagle feathers that would reward them, paid little attention to the two white horses that dashed away. Meanwhile, Peterson joined Captain Ruddy and the cavalry.
Captain Ruddy
What do you report?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Stand ready, Captain. The first part of the trick worked.
Captain Ruddy
What of the masked man?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
He sent me out the rear gate.
Captain Ruddy
Is he safe?
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
I don't know, sir.
Captain Ruddy
If he's trapped inside the fort, we'll have to attack. Try to rescue him.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
But, sir.
Captain Ruddy
Stand ready, man.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Yes, sir.
Captain Ruddy
The redskins must have discovered the trick by this time.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Why don't the masked man show himself? What's happened to him?
Captain Ruddy
He must speak.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
There he comes.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
He's got away.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Look at him riding down here.
Captain Ruddy
He's safe. He's away from the Indian.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
And there's the Indian with him.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
There's no sign of pursuit yet.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Good for him.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Captain Ruddy, wheel those cannon around and hurry.
Captain Ruddy
Hear that, men? You give the orders, my men will obey.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Is the cannon loaded? Yes, sir. Aim for the main gate of the garrison.
Captain Ruddy
Are all the savages inside?
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Yes. Send a detachment to guard the rear gates.
Captain Ruddy
Lieutenant Carter, take charge. Take the first and second troop with you.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Keep those Indians inside the fort. Don't let them get out. Come on, man, this way.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
Hey, they're opening the gate.
The Lone Ranger
Look.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Look us up beside the gate. Are you ready? Fire.
Peterson (Captain Ruddy's aide)
A perfect shot right alongside the gate.
Captain Ruddy
They've slammed the gate shut again.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
There, Captain Ruddy, you can keep them from leaving by the main gate indefinitely. The lieutenant and his men can keep them from leaving by the rear gate. You've taken all the food from the fort.
Captain Ruddy
It's all with us.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Then you're in full control. Those Indians will surrender or starve, and
Captain Ruddy
I don't care which they do.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Your hunters will be able to get food now and bring it to you. Geronimo and his men are defeated for
Captain Ruddy
all time and by the simple means of giving them what they were ready to fight for. I never heard the like of this. Sir, if you'll give me your name, you'll be cited by Congress for what you've done.
Tonto
We go now.
Silver (The Lone Ranger's horse) / Lone Ranger
Come on, Silver. There's danger on the trail ahead. Hail, Silver.

This episode resurrects the thrilling days of Old Time Radio with an action-packed installment of "The Lone Ranger," entitled "Three Against Geronimo." The story unfolds in the American West, where the masked Lone Ranger and his companion, Tonto, confront the cunning Chief Geronimo's plot against a beleaguered frontier fort. Themes of trust, strategy, and bravery play out as the heroes must outwit an imminent attack to bring about peace and safety for settlers and soldiers alike.
Geronimo and fifty warriors, carrying a flag of truce, arrive and are let into the fort one by one, each searched and disarmed.
The Lone Ranger and Tonto trigger the signal, luring Geronimo's braves outside into the now-empty fort, which is immediately sealed, trapping the would-be attackers inside with no chance of escape or victory.
