For over a year, three cardiologists told me I needed a pacemaker. I refused. I was deep into all-natural health, convinced I could fix my failing heart myself with the right supplements and treatments. I was wrong — and stubborn. By the time I finally listened, I was lying on the operating table when my heart gave out completely. But I was surrounded by heart surgeons at the exact moment I needed them. I believe God orchestrated every bit of it.

I hold nothing back: the melanoma I ignored on my ankle until it spread into my lymph nodes and groin, the 25-year battle with alcohol I finally walked away from eight years ago, and the faith journey that turned me from a skeptic into an on-fire believer.
