Dear Reader; There is a phenomenon unfolding in media, journalism, social media, and even in conversations with family and friends, when the fear of offending someone takes precedence over facing a deeper moral or spiritual truth. This has become so widespread that it is almost universal. Conversations become minefields, social gatherings, an exercise in walking on glass. We fear the discomfort of alienating loved ones or peers, more than we fear our own inner reckoning. This is a downward slide from the most fundamental and high human principle, that it is more important to align with a spiritual truth than that which compels us in fear. The primary causal factor here is the sense that we must take sides. That we must choose a political party or policy, defend a particular religious perspective, or appear to represent a certain righteousness in our opinions. We wish to be on the ‘right’ side of the conversation. We want to be liked, even to obey, more than we want to tell the truth. A very clear and disturbing example of this principle was demonstrated in the infamous Milgram experiments. Participants were led to administer shocks to another participant, that ranged from uncomfortable to lethal. If they questioned the instructions they were advised to continue, even as the one being shocked screamed and begged for mercy. The majority of those administering the shocks did what they were told. Is this unconscious capacity for cruelty inherent in the human condition, or is it simply a primal fear that has driven our species in the past, but now rises to be seen, acknowledged and released? What if the days of duality are coming to a close? What if our collective shadow is rising up in a final blowout rampage, before we turn to a deeper awareness that it doesn’t matter who is doing the harm, or for what reason. All that matters is that wounding, killing, destroying, causing rampant suffering goes against the most primary spiritual tenets our hearts can know. To stand up and say this aloud, does not make anyone anti or pro anything, but rather humane. Conscious. Compassionate. All the things that have been buried under the rubble of karmic wounding and vengeance. The habit of hurting others instead of addressing our own inner fear and pain. For decades I have led students of the Kore Process, a form of deep shadow work, to learn how to face what is difficult to see in their own karmic history. The liberation that awaits when we tell ourselves such truths is worth every moment of the journey. It is time for us to look to this principle as an expression in the collective. It’s time for us to face our own demons, and the demons that are currently acting out in the collective experience. When we call them by name, we take the first step in dissipating their energy. When we dare to look together at what is most difficult to see, we throw a bucket of water at the wicked witch of the West, and prepare to watch her dissolve into the illusion she has always been. Cruelty begets cruelty which teaches us that we are all Divine and we are all capable of the demonic Only when we are finally able to understand this may we exorcise the power of the dark It is not just that we no longer take sides When we agree to see the shadow we tell the truth When we tell the truth we are humbled when we are humbled we return to peace There is no one to fight and no one to fear Conquerors sewers of vengeance when you reach toward God know that the devil reaches with you When you suggest that God is on your side whenever you use God’s name in this way be it Yahweh Allah or Christ to justify harm the devil speaks through you and this is the inherent risk of any attempt to organize God For the heart of Man is most weak when he presumes to suggest that his own fear his own broken need knows anything of the Divine for the idea of God uttered in human fear is the furthest thing from holy There is no holy war There is no holy hate And there is never ever such a thing as holy vengeance for there is no god of any name who celebrates this base human emotion And to suggest otherwise reveals only how far we are willing to travel from the truth of Divine Love to justify our own unholy games... ~ excerpt Demon of Division from DEAR HUMAN CHILD the bookIn the willingness to harm one child just one all grace is gone no matter what is written no matter what is believed A weapon which touches a child is held in the devil’s hand for religion is the attempt of Man to organize his own dreams of power through the lens of his own fear and unconscious hunger and while there is divinity in every moment religious warfare is nothing but evil on all sides and in all forms True faith does not divide it embraces True consciousness never blames but only heals True love owns nothing not land and not people True wisdom seeks no power but rather transforms suffering through faith consciousness and love Love takes no sides for it is whole Holy Whole... ~ excerpt Demon of Division from DEAR HUMAN CHILD the bookThis powerful song will no doubt disturb many viewers. But how much more disturbing is it, to consider how the world has turned away from what has been called the first live-streamed genocide in history? There are times when it is more important to be strong, than to be comfortable. More valuable to tell the truth, than to be liked. More transformational to break free of a collective hypnosis which compels us to be untrue to ourselves. Nothing is as it seems because the old illusions must fall and the more tightly we hold to how we think it should be the more painful the rebirth will seem in the grip of our comfortable fears The truth is Love is easy so much easier than you might think While vengeance is hard and eats up everything good within the soul Forgiveness has nothing to do with the blame to which you cling And brutality is never new for it breeds and grows in the gardens the prisons and the ghettos we create But once revenge is spawned it will take armies of peace a great rising of the many millions of aspects of Divine Consciousness to come together resistance of the highest order as the devil dissolves starved to death by our refusal to feed what is not born of compassion Be not afraid for there is no power greater than our willingness to love beyond borders beyond religion beyond our forefathers’ ancient hate The day must come when we do unto others not what has been done to us but rather what pure love commands ... ~ excerpt Demon of Division from DEAR HUMAN CHILD the book There are times when it is more important to be strong than to be comfortable. More valuable to tell the truth, than to be liked. More transformational to break free of a collective hypnosis that compels us to be untrue to ourselves. We can do better. We can come together. We can transform the vast history of tribalism and vengeance that has ruled our world. Time is now, my friends. Time is Now. much love, AdiPS…. If transmission excerpts can support our personal challenges, imagine how they might respond if we ask tough questions about current global issues? Well, I asked, and the cards spoke.Wouldn't it be interesting if this election were, for example, to lead us in a direction that suggested that it's time for a different form of electoral system? That pitting two parties against one another in aggression and bitter and childlike oppositional energy is not the way to create a healthy country or a healthy governing body. And perhaps this is what it is time for us to overhaul. If we were to choose this fundamental change, that is when new opportunities and new choices appear before us.If you enjoyed this video, be one of the first to hold the special edition DEAR HUMAN CHILD book and deluxe card deck in your own hands. A transmission reminding us of our connection to one another, and to Source. Get full access to Love Letters from the Divine at adikanda.substack.com/subscribe

Dear Listener and Reader;Today I share a deep and lengthy transmission which feels important in this moment. It is part two of a four part series received in summer of 2020, on Q-Anon and pedophilia. As always, the transmissions look to the root, to the underlying expressions of polarization which lead to suffering. Rain Dance will be part of an upcoming book of transmissions on these days of the Earth Changes. Publishing a collection of these writings is a vision I have held for many years. Please let me know, dear reader, if you would like to be on my list to be notified of this release.RAIN DANCEDo not be afraid to dream even in your pain for dreaming is now more valuable than ever before yet as you dream make it yours dream what you choose not what you fear Now you think you know your fear but you do not You think you know what it means to be spiritual but you do not You think you know how to serve but you do not and so these are the lessons of these times It has been said that the one antidote to fear is Trust and it is but to understand the trust that is asked of us we must first understand the layers of our fear If we are to know how to call in the rain we must first walk the desert through thirst through the illusion of mirage through the shifting sands and disconnection from the rich earth Only when we tell the truth about the desert may we know rain Wherever love is missing fear will quickly come to take its place and these are the days of the Desert of Love Deserts are not made overnight they are gradually formed over many years as life falls away as the rains do not come and the trees die one by one and rivers dry up nowhere to run the soil loses its capacity to fuel birth and the stone breaks down into sand beneath our feet reflecting the heat by day and the empty cold by night all measured by the whims of the wind and the sun We live today in a desert of love so we may waken to the divinity of rain Where did our love go you ask? Is it not the stuff from which we are made? Indeed it is and yet within this realm of breath and all such polarities we must surrender to this exchange the natural journey of birth to death but in our fear we ran from this truth until every action became a way to separate us from the beauty of our return to God The great ages of the birth of ownership and industry the birth of technology the birth of institutions and political religious educational justice systems each one in search of something each one promising to take us further and further from death for if only we could control measure and own all of life perhaps it would be ours to stay This too is our choice This too is the making of our dreams And with each of these ages we withdrew further and further from our sense of connection to Mother We made our buildings taller our paved roads longer our feet forgot how to be naked our hearts could not remember the touch of the trees and so the deserts came wider and wider until there was nothing left to inhale but the exhalation of the one standing next to us and without our remembering of the beauty of the coloured leaf ready to fall to rot to give her essence back to the Mother in this desert of disconnection from Infinite Love our fear began to unfold in new forms more vast and yet more secretive than ever before To understand this consider primitive man and the purity of his fear He fears the animal he hunts the Beast the buffalo the bear the stag but in his fear he also honours them he respects their power and value for they are his food his clothing his very life They are his Gods This fear makes him fierce it gives him strength and wisdom it teaches him about his place within the devouring circle of the material world This is so of all his fears so he may live in purpose and resolution His very fears guide him to his desires his reason for being and his greatest joys But now caught in our separation from the natural world from the Mother in her grace and wisdom immersed in our driven distraction our need to own to build to possess fear has lost its purpose and we can no longer access its gifts Instead of our fuel it has become our enemy our shame and so we deny it we drug it we try to buy our way out of it even as it grows larger ever larger we forget to honour its name The desert grows as the love we once found every day in the arms of the Mother dries up in our separation from her and in its place into the desert comes the fear roaming like packs of hyenas drifting in clouds of entities the forms of fear taking shape the ghosts of all we have denied during the day infiltrating our world by night This too is our choice This too is the making of our dreams And so as the daily life of so many becomes a desert a desert of meaningless employment and numbing devices and imitation foods and spiritual pretence we may lose even the memory of rain until this constant low-grade empty fear becomes our constant state at times escalating to depression or even the terrors of psychosis but rarely if ever returning to the knowing of Trust of true belief in the garden of the Mother so far have we travelled from her arms This too is our choice This is the ready climate for the Dance of Rain And here we come to the question of Spirit of the presence of Divinity in our hearts in our world For of course the larger truth is that love has never left us can never leave us for it is the stuff out of which even darkness is made But in our disconnection so too do we become separate from genuine perception because our fear is now everywhere there is no antidote for so many no daily connection with other forms of life no words to be heard from the trees no caresses from the fish in the seas no scent of the skin of the newborn calf no hawk overhead no mud between the toes no circles of women gathered for a birth no families of men digging the soil for a grave because of this separation from the permission for the honouring of our joys and our fears we know neither and instead live in a low-grade hum a purgatory between dimensions neither fully upon the earth nor fully dead we consume we distract we go mad instead This too remains our choice This too the makings of our now necessary dreams In this state of confused perception we cannot define nor recognize what is fear and what is righteous we cannot discern what is godly and what is human arrogance and so even our search for Spirit for the Light becomes confused and if this has been our world so too must it crumble And here we must pause to examine all that we have named as “spiritual” and understand more deeply the confusions which abound Let us begin with clarifying that we are all in our very nature “spiritual” beings We are beings of Spirit aspects of Spirit having chosen incarnation in physical form and so it is not possible for us to be anything other than spiritual The soul must claim the body and in this there is no living form which is not imbued with its own expression of the Divine As such we cannot study spirituality we can only remember it We cannot attempt to achieve that which is our essential nature we may only acknowledge it We cannot stray from spiritual behaviours as all actions have their place in the larger view of this Divine expression but in so understanding we are asked to relinquish all judgement of our attempts to return to ourselves We are asked to see that the further we seem to travel from wholeness the more ready we are to return to that which is the Source of Love Here is where so much of our confusion lies For throughout the history of humankind we have been afraid of our own forgetting we have created shame to fill the space where our remembering was lost and so we created religion the systems of belief which gave us lists of rules and behaviours to govern all that we have forgotten and thus the permission for punishment when these rules were not followed the meting out of pain and suffering in direct proportion to the judgement we felt was necessary for surely if we have lost Goddess surely if we cannot remember God we are the ones at fault so says the wounded child in our heart And so the rules and their associated punishments became the definition of godliness of divine expression of our “spiritual” natures and even when some said I no longer follow the rules of the churches and the mosques they simply replaced them with their own rules and so a new age of spirituality was born Inherent within this new age was the idea of rebellion as holy and the belief that by rejecting the tenets of institutionalized thought all light was found and so the shadow itself became the new demon so great was the fear of suppression and control Freedom became the new benediction as the self of the personality became confused with the universal self of the Divine and so a false freedom reigned and with it a contagion of a new and Insidious fear the denial of fear itself So great was the unconscious judgement no judgments could be seen no deep truth could be expressed and so the very souls who in their hearts held the most unconscious fear became the ones who espoused the loudest command to stand in the light saying in my fear of what I cannot see I will tell you all that you are blind in my own sleeping consciousness I will tell you all to wake up Now within our present moment world of disconnection we can understand how layers and forms and aspects of fear will begin to fill the desert There will be those who will say I see the Beast but I give it no honour and I will attempt to prove myself fearless by killing it on sight there will be no Beast in my world I will destroy what I fear I am There will be those who will say I see the Beast as it lives in others those unholy ones and we will create systems and laws and prisons and we will contain the Beast and eat the Beast and thi...

Dear ReaderAre you ready? Are you willing to See? Please use this as a meditation, as a softening of the heart toward release, as a message to be spoken aloud with your own voice. That which we speak, we bring into form. When the wave rises we cannot say the exact moment it will crest and begin its fall to freedom into wholeness with the infinite So ask not are we done ask not are we here yet but rather soften into all flow and do not judge your arc your ride You witness such shifting sands Your vision blurs in the heat of the sun You are unsure if you are dreaming if the shadows upon the horizon are real or true Everywhere you turn you wonder is this the godly way or is this the illusion the bed of lies which makes one a fool Those whom you once trusted seem to collapse as if they had always been made of dust and those whom you once judged surprise you as they crack open your heart and reshape your soul Nothing remains in the realm of the ordinary Nothing is as it used to be for the story is now told across fields of light through layers and layers of dimensions cutting consciousness beyond space beyond measure beyond a world of day and night So that just when you think you know you realize you don’t know Just when it starts to make sense it doesn’t anymore and we begin to recognize that we are no longer alive in the realm of experience which marks us We are being born instead into a realm of truth as constant creation beyond categorization beyond constructs of old Look into the eyes of your brother and you may find alive within the dark fears of an abandoned child Look into the eyes of your enemy and you may find a hidden wisdom a soul who has simply learned how to survive Look into your own eyes and allow yourself to see as if for the first time the clutter of persona and denial for there is no more time no more use for addictions of distraction Not another moment to be given to doubt or blindness not another day to spend in helplessness hopelessness or fear For whether this is your last day upon a hellish Earth or your first day in a Heaven of your own making it matters not the wave has arisen the wave has arisen and it will return us all to the See The time has come to cease thinking with the brain and instead infuse your Presence with expansive sight To stop breathing with the lungs and instead inhale the force of a destructive and creative fire To walk upon the soil and at the same time transcend the doing of it all the while discovering beauty in every particle of your sleep-walking day-dreaming worldAs you expand slowly, slowly exploding the DNA as you This is exactly how the key is handed back to you placed firmly in your hands for you can never cease human confusions without first naming the stories the stage and the players and then bow in absolute gratitude as you rise up as you re-materialize into your entirety and leave those stories behind This is the melding of a transporting state wherein we envision ourselves into alchemy with Dear Reader;Welcome to the Part Four Exercise, part of a series of writings on Healing the Primary Sexual Wound. Part Four Exercise: On the forgiving, healing and integrating the Masculine and Feminine aspects of our being. This exercise honours the hidden blessings within our dualistic natures and the deep purpose held by both the feminine and masculine aspects of our incarnation, while recognizing all humans embody elements of both. This does not negate natural gender, but rather invites us to dance with our beautifully polarized reflection. In this exercise you will be led through an exploration of three levels of awareness: wounding, compensation and acceptance. As we develop the capacity to witness the hidden aspects of our masculine or feminine natures, we may then have the courage to recognize how we have learned to deny and protect ourselves. As an unconscious compensation, women may develop tactics of masculine aggression, and men may retreat to a feminine passivity. We may relinquish our inherent strength in such an adaptation, for fear of revealing what we perceive as a dangerous potency. Jung said, “Whatever is rejected from the self, appears in the world as an event.” Remembering that our emotional shadows are our guides, what have these fears come to teach us? Who are we in our wholeness? Where may a man find the new sacred masculine within, and how does a woman embody the long lost sacred feminine? Please take the time to journal, draw, paint and move your body after your meditation. Celebrate what has been revealed. You will hear a brief introduction of the Nam-myoho-rege-kyo Nichiren Buddhist chant, offered in the understanding that even ignorance and the Dharma nature are a single entity, or one in essence. This reunion is indeed our Buddha nature. From Soka Gakkai, of the Nichiren Buddhism Library":“The meaning of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is explained in the opening section of The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, the record of Nichiren’s lectures on the Lotus Sutra compiled by his disciple and successor, Nikkō. It states that namu derives from the Sanskrit word namas and is translated as devotion, or as “dedicating one’s life.” What one should dedicate one’s life to, he says, are the Person and the Law. The Person signifies “Shakyamuni,” which means the eternal Buddha, and the Law is “the Lotus Sutra,” which means the ultimate truth, or Myoho-renge-kyo. According to Orally Transmitted Teachings, the act of devotion (namu) has two aspects: One is to devote oneself to, or fuse one’s life with, the eternal and unchanging truth; the other is that, through this fusion of one’s life with the ultimate truth, one simultaneously draws forth inexhaustible wisdom that functions in accordance with changing circumstances.Orally Transmitted Teachings further states: “We may also note that the nam of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is a Sanskrit word, while Myoho-renge-kyo are Chinese words. Sanskrit and Chinese join in a single moment to form Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. If we express the title [of the Lotus Sutra] in Sanskrit, it will be Saddharma-pundarīka-sūtra. This is Myoho-renge-kyo. Sad (a phonetic change of sat) means myō, or wonderful. Dharma means hō, Law or phenomena. Pundarīka means renge, or lotus blossom. Sūtra means kyō, or sutra. The nine Chinese characters [that represent the Sanskrit title] are the Buddha bodies of the nine honored ones. This expresses the idea that the nine worlds are none other than the Buddha world.“Myō stands for the Dharma nature, or enlightenment, while hō represents darkness, or ignorance. Together as myōhō, they express the idea that ignorance and the Dharma nature are a single entity, or one in essence. Renge stands for the two elements of cause and effect. Cause and effect are also a single entity.“Kyō represents the words and voices of all living beings. A commentary says, ‘The voice carries out the work of the Buddha, and it is called kyō.’ Kyō may also be defined as that which is constant and unchanging in the three existences of past, present, and future. The Dharma realm is myōhō, the wonderful Law; the Dharma realm is renge, the lotus blossom; the Dharma realm is kyō, the sutra.”much love, Adi Get full access to Love Letters from the Divine at adikanda.substack.com/subscribe

Forgiveness is a tricky subject. When we truly begin to grasp what it means to live in a world without blame, a world in which every conflict is a lesson and every enemy a teacher, the blessing of this acceptance lives in the reclamation of our own capacity to choose. We become the victim no more.We may have everything material taken away from us, but no one can claim the inner choices of our soul, as was so clearly expressed in Viktor Frankl's brilliant book, Man’s Search for Meaning. As we apply these principles we may find that within our own personal relationships, apology is no longer necessary in the same way. We become willing to witness both our own actions and the actions of our loved ones as simply expressions which arise from who we are and where we are in each moment. Even in situations of grave harm and loss it is possible to walk within this framework. to recognize that Justice is a much more complex and holy process than vengeance.Alongside this principle exists a profound understanding which is that we set ourselves and others free by releasing our attachment to suffering through an intentional forgiveness practice. This can be deeply effective even if we are not aware of consciously sitting in a place of blame. What forgiveness achieves is acknowledgement of both the pain of the one who has been harmed and the one who caused the harm. From this view we can abstain from the use of words like victim and persecutor and yet still recognize the mutual dance of shame and heartbreak which has been such a powerful part of our human journey. In this process we allow what is hidden in our unconscious to feel safe enough to rise up and be acknowledged, beyond cycles of defence and counter-attack. The elimination of denied resentment and powerlessness is critical to the creation of a world without blame. We must be willing to tell the truth before we can all be set free. Most of us are aware of the ancient Hawaiian tradition of Ho'oponopono. this practice is rooted in an understanding of Oneness. It calls us to claim the courage of acknowledging any and all karmic hurt we have generated as a powerful practice of humility and willingness. It is astonishing how the act of intentionally expressing forgiveness to others grants us permission to acknowledge and identify our own buried pain. Something magical takes place when we surrender our defences. Just as it is possible to become entrenched in the rage of the victim, a very pure liberation may be found when we set ourselves free of any hurt we may have experienced as well as any hurt we may have committed.Today's exercise is an invitation to explore Ho’oponopono. Please begin in meditation and call forth any tangible memories of suppression, or persecution or victimization. Hold this awareness as you listen to and speak the magic of Ho'oponopono. Observe how old memories of shame become pure in the presence of unconditional acceptance. Recognize that as this acceptance comes alive within you, you reflect the purity of the unconditional love of the Creator. This Is the love we seek, and yet it is the very same love which can never be lost. This is the truth which lives within every soul.I will begin by sharing a few stanzas from a transmission entitled Father Forgive Them. I will then read for you the full traditional form of the Ho'oponopono. You may listen to this on repeat for an increasingly powerful experience or you may choose to speak it aloud. May the inherent forgiveness of absolute and unconditional love lead us together toward a World Without Blame. Father forgive them for they know not what they do Mother forgive me for I did not know that I was you My own heart forgive me for the wrongs I feared were my fault Let the yes the Yes be spoken again this time in freedom this time the lesson learned All humility brings me to my knees all wonder lies waiting there for the attack is over forgiveness come and gone not needed anymore The war is done. When I say Peace my brothers When I say peace my mother my daughter my life I say peace in fact was always the answer but we didn't know we didn't know what we were not yet ready to learn But the day is coming when we will rise high once again though it will not be what you think it will be because it will begin from within you inner galaxies emerging from a place you have never before been..*Note: The Ho’oponopono prayer is accompanied by my received chant, Peace. The chant itself holds an additionally activating frequency. The prayer is repeated three times. “Divine Creator, Father, Mother, Son, all in One. If I, my family, my relatives and ancestors, offend your family, relatives and ancestors, in thoughts, words, facts, and actions, from the beginning of our creation to the present moment, we ask for your forgiveness. Let it cleanse, purify, release and cut all negative memories, blockages, energies and vibrations. Transmute these undesirable energies into pure light, and so it is.To clear my subconscious of all the emotional charge stored in it, I say over and over again during my day, the keywords of ho’oponopono: I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I’m grateful. I declare myself at peace with all the people of the earth with whom I have outstanding debts. For this moment and in all time, for everything that I do not like in my present life: I am sorry, forgive me, I love you, I am grateful. I release all those from whom I believe I am receiving harm and ill treatment because they are my teachers: I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I’m grateful.Although it is difficult for me to forgive someone, I am the one who asks for the forgiveness of that someone now. For this instant, and at all times, for everything I do not like in my present life: I’m so sorry, forgive me, I love you, I’m grateful. For this sacred place that I inhabit day by day, with which I do not feel comfortable: I am sorry, forgive me, I love you, I am grateful. For the difficult relationships of which I only kept bad memories: I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I’m grateful. For everything that I do not like in my present life, in my past life, in my work and what is around me, Divinity cleans in me what is contributing to my scarcity: I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I am grateful. If my physical body experiences anxiety, worry, guilt, fear, sadness, pain, I speak and think, “My memories, I love you. I am grateful for the opportunity to release you, and me.” I’m sorry, forgive me, I love you, I’m grateful. Right now, I affirm that I love you. I think of my emotional health and that of all my loved ones. I love you for my needs and to learn to wait without anxiety, without fear, I recognize my memories here at this moment: I am sorry, forgive me, I love you, I am grateful. My contribution to the healing of beloved Mother Earth, who I am: if I, my family, my relatives and ancestors mistreat you with thoughts, words, facts and actions, from the beginning of our creation to the present moment, I ask your forgiveness. Let it cleanse and purify, release and cut all negative memories, blockages, energies and vibrations. Transmute these undesirable energies into pure light and so it is.To conclude, I say that this prayer is my door, my contribution to your emotional health, which is the same as mine. So, be well, and as you heal, I say that: I’m sorry for the painful memories I share with you. I ask for forgiveness for uniting my path to yours for healing. I thank you for being here in me. I love you for being who you are. ”I would love to hear your experience with this exercise.Just a reminder that within your soul you are eternally pure and beautiful. Dear Reader;Welcome to a series of writings on Healing the Primary Sexual Wound. Part Two Exercise: On our place in the collective sexual shadowIf we understand that our soul’s journey is undertaken by choice, If we accept that the ultimate purpose of our life challenges is to generate an initiation into consciousness; then if we take the time to examine experiences of contraction in our lives, we will be led directly toward opportunities for expansion, already primed and waiting for our courageous exploration. In this exercise you are asked to sit quietly and centre yourself. Let all the thoughts and distractions of the day fall away and open the blank screen of your mind's eye. As you sit watching the screen, please invite yourself to feel small and young. You are a child or perhaps an adolescent, and you are experiencing a deep desire. It can be a physical desire, a sexual desire, a longing for a special gift, for love, for touch, ownership or expression. It can be a powerful hunger, or a small, wishful voice, so long as you can identify it as desire that is meaningful and holds the promise of pleasure for you. Before you pay attention to outcome, please notice simply how desire feels, in your body, in your heart, in your being. Does it feel good to want something? Does it feel possible? Does desire feel inspiring, is there a power within desire that moves you to speak, to act, to follow through? Or does desire feel dangerous, limited, shameful? Is desire your secret, or something you share? Do you have a sense that you know what to do with this desire? Is it a familiar or isolated feeling? Now that you have connected with a memory of what it feels like to desire, let that memory play out like a movie in your mind’s eye. What happens next? Are you able to voice your desire, and are you heard? Did you act upon your desire, and how were you received? Did you fulfil your desire, or was permission denied? Let all the players enter the scene. Let yourself feel everything you felt in that moment. What was it like to have your wishes come true, or to have them taken from you? Who played a part in this, and what was their energy or presence like? Were you excited and joyful, or disappointed and afraid? If your desire was fulfilled, what happened next? If your desire was denied, what did you do? Let yourself feel it all. Now please repeat this exercise at least three times, for three different experiences of desire. Each time begin by letting yourself remember what it felt like to have pure desire in your body and your psyche. Each time follow through with your emotional body, and how it felt to achieve or lose the fulfilment of your desires. Now notice any patterns which have arisen. Were you a child or youth who could easily identify and express what you want? What were the most powerful kinds of desires you can remember? Did you allow easily or was each time an effort to dig through shame and shyness? What is the patterning of how your desire was received by others? Were you heard and welcomed or did you repeatedly experience being shut down, by others or by your own fear? Notice who was present in the theatre of these memories. If it was a parent, sibling or friend, can you recall the way that this individual would commonly express and respond to their own desires? How did their responses impact you? What did they teach you about yourself? Were you strong enough to hold your own, or were you submissive to the wishes of others? Where is shame present in these memories? Did you stop yourself, or were you stopped and shamed by others? Were you pure of heart and believing in your right to desire until someone judged or harmed you? Can you let yourself be aware of how you experienced your own power of choice or your own passivity? For each experience, what was the measure of your success in fulfilling your desire? Please give each experience a rating between 1 and 10, 10 being the complete fulfilment and/or acknowledgement of your desire, and 1 being complete shut down of your needs and wishes. What was the climate around you during these experiences? What were the customs, the habits of your family, your culture, your community? Were you ever publicly shamed? Did parents, elders or authority figures ever use shame as a way to control your behaviour? Did you have any role models of individuals who recognized their own preferences and made choices rooted in their own desires? Who were these role models, and how did they live their lives? If there was no one, and you grew up surrounded by control and suppression, is that feeling of entrapment and denial still familiar to you? Are you still living with a need for approval, for a permission that lives outside of yourself? What would have happened to you as a child if you had dared to take permission, to follow your desires anyway? What would happen to you as an adult, if you were to follow your desires this very day? Now, for each experience you have noted, allow yourself to re-enter the memory of the original moment. If your permission score was only 3, visualize pushing up the needle of that score. What would it feel like inside your heart, if it became a 5. And then 7. What would it feel like to push the needle to 10? Give yourself full permission to rewrite the entire scene. To rectify, and fulfil whatever had been missing. If a parent began with no, they now say yes. If you were shamed and judged, you are now heard and loved. If you stopped yourself, you now say yes to yourself. What does it feel like to play with this permission? Can you do it? Can you confront any fear and shame which arises and say yes anyway? Can you allow yourself to want something, and let it come true? Notice any resistance. Watch it, but don’t respond to its claim on you. Let it be witnessed in a dispassionate way. Love yourself in it. Love the resistance itself. Remind yourself that this is the catalyst to your permission. Without resistance, there would be no permission. The hand must pull back the bow so that the arrow, in its time, can fly free. In closing, for each memory of desire, anchor a healing, positive outcome. Give yourself an image, a word, by which to anchor what it feels like to say yes, where once you were told no. You have full permission to rewrite these memories, to create a new ending to each story. Play with this sensation and give to yourself now what may have been missing for a long time. The truth is, you are all grown up. Your permissions are now utterly your own. There is no one, and nothing in your way. You are more free than you have ever been in your life. Every challenging memory has come only to serve you, to take you to this new place. If it is not easy to rewrite a memory, take your time. Stay honest within yourself. Keep feeling for choices, for possibilities. You deserve the time to practice being larger in life, being free for the first time. You are developing new muscles. Tell yourself the truth, but don’t give up. The visions you allow fuel the reality you create. If necessary, repeat and repeat the anchoring words and images. Take back what was meant to be yours. Discover how strong you are meant to be. Notice how freely your love begins to flow to others, when you allow it to first flow freely to you. It’s the beginning of a new day. I would love to hear how you experience this exercise. Please share in the comments.Much love,Adi Get full access to Love Letters from the Divine at adikanda.substack.com/subscribe
