Hey, guys, welcome to another episode of Move it or Lose It. Today you may remember my. One of my favorite guests is back again. Welcome Ethan Pollock to Move or Lose it. And he is one of my. Well, gosh, it's been a few years since I've had you on, but he. You are the. You are the inventor, creator of Pulse Device, and I love that device very much. So. Welcome, Ethan.
B
Thanks so much for having me, Kathy. Yeah, it's been a crazy ride. Yeah, it's an honor to be back on here sharing some of the wins we've had recently and some of the feedback we've gotten since the first episode we did. So I'm excited for sure.
A
I always tell people I knew, like the second we started talking in the podcast first, I didn't have the pulse device yet, and I was like, I absolutely wanted to work with you. It was just instant chemistry that we shared a lot of the same feelings about helping others and just wanting to get that out there, making sure that people could have an easier life and have all these crazy autoimmune things and stuff like that. And, and I loved the way that you cared and just wanted to get something out there. And, and you know, we have so many companies that say that but don't really live that. And you really did. And so it, it just really inspired me. And it was so fast once you sent me the device that I could feel a difference in different ways, whether it was spasticity or just my own workouts. And because, you know, most people that know me know that, that I am pretty high functioning when it comes to Ms. And my other millions of things I have. So I like to do, you know, my workouts with my Ms. Patients and my, you know, stroke survivors and things like that. But also when I'm, you know, getting my gains and I'm doing my heavy workouts and my heavy weights, I like to strap on and put on my pulse device. And so I've loved to be able to use them for different things or when I'm in incredible pain at night and My legs are just jumping like crazy. And the spasticity. I love to be able to. I always say, keep it bright when you need it. Right by your bed. If you're trying to go to sleep and you're having spasticity, just out of this world. And one of the first things, I think I probably called you immediately and said I did not have to take medication for the first time because I. I didn't even know. And I don't want to say I didn't believe it, but it was like, okay, I'm gonna try it. And I put it on and I just fell asleep and woke up and I was like, I didn't have to take any medication. So that's happened every time I put it on. And that I think for most of us who have an autoimmune disease or anything are so tired of more medication where you feel like you go into the doctors and it's like, that didn't work. Try this. Try this. And it's like, no, no more. So. So how often have you heard that story?
B
Yeah. No. And thank you so much for sharing all of that feedback. And just taking a step back before I answer that. It's like, it was so interesting because when we first connected, you actually expressed you were some skepticism, which I totally understood because you've been approached by tons of different companies, you've worked with different companies, and obviously some of them have great products and some of them don't. And obviously one of the first things you said was, I'm not going to be in this unless I love the product. And it was incredible because I do remember when you first started trying it, it was shocking. Our product is not always a magic pill. It's not always going to be some sort of overnight fix. That's really not what it is. But when we can give somebody that relief or that help that they really need to give them the ability to sleep better, to function better, just to live a more and better quality of life, it really is what makes us so grateful to be in the position that we're in. So thank you for sharing all that.
A
Absolutely.
B
Yeah. We've been hearing some really, really incredible stuff since we last spoke, and it's kind of been all across the board. Like you mentioned, a lot of people that have some sort of autoimmune disease use our device for really almost every single different aspect of their life. Whether it comes for performance recovery, rehab, people are finding new and innovative ways to tie together our technology with their routines almost every single day.
A
Yeah.
B
One of the biggest ones that we've been hearing lately actually does relate to sleep. So a lot of people that are dealing with our stiffness or pain early morning, late at night, they will use our device directly on or near the affected area to really provide them with that relief that, again, can help them potentially sleep.
A
Yeah.
B
And we actually are releasing a 2.0 in the coming months because that exact thing. Because what happened was we. And I've explained this countless times at this point and you've, I've talked your ear off about this before. Our product was initially a weightlifting product, so.
A
Right.
B
Were using our device to target and activate stubborn muscles on their body. And what happened was, was when you were using this device just for workouts, you might only need it for 30 minutes a session.
A
Right.
B
So we built a product for that. But what's happened since then is the fact that since it can help people with things like relief to help them get better sleep, they're trying to use our device for up to eight hours a day.
A
Oh yeah, that. I hear that all the time.
B
Yep. Yeah. And understandably so. And we want them to be able to do that. But when you're doing that every single day, you're also obviously just destroying the motor, the battery life. So we needed to do a better job and innovate and adjust and make some products changes to actually have a better battery and motor. People could use it for something like that. So in the coming months, we're actually releasing a 2.0 that has 8 hours of battery life. So we're really excited to announce that. And actually I don't think I've been on a podcast and really stated that. So I guess this is a, this is awesome.
A
And I, I'm glad you are because I've told, I've told people that. So. But I think it's so awesome because that's a question I get, like, why isn't the battery last all day? I'm like, well, you've got to charge it and you can't, you can't expect it to last all day. And also, you know, this is, this, like you said, this is new. It was, it was supposed to be a weightlifting thing. And then all of a sudden it was like you were asked and people were starting to use it for more stuff like this. And it's like, I, I have truly loved how you guys have like really jumped in, listened and have like, okay, this is, this is working. And we're going to go right in here. We're going to keep listening and Keep moving towards this where you could have easily said, hey, we're trying our best. This wasn't. And I hope it works for you. And you could have kind of ended it and gone a different direction. And instead you see you jumped in and gone even further and, and are helping more people. So I really have loved that that you're continuing to build more and more so that it can help and last longer and do more, what have you. Well, now that you've announced the 2.0, you're hoping for that to be like, in like few months, Is that what you're thinking?
B
Yeah, we're shooting for February. I think at latest It'll probably be March 1st.
A
Okay.
B
That launch too. And I don't, I don't want to turn anybody off from purchasing now because we're going to help every one of our current customers be able to afford the next version as well. So we're either going to do something where we're going to offer them a huge discount or put money that they've already spent for the 1.0 towards the 2.0. Because we, obviously this, this new version is going to cost more for us to make too, just because we're improving it so much. But it's not even just for things like sleep, it's for things like enhancing mobility alongside too. So going back kind of to your first question where it's like, what are some of the things that we've been hearing from our customers and how's it been working? One of the biggest ones is really just helping to improve strength alongside exercise or rehabilitative movements ultimately help improve mobility. For sure, people that are dealing with weak legs, specifically weak quads or weak tibialis, where you're having trouble raising your foot and ankle. And a lot of people, when they implement local vibration therapy, they notice not only the proprioceptive boost, so that mind muscle connection, that body awareness, but also improvements in activation and strength. And a lot of times it's really strange at first. You might notice, hey, I'm doing a few more reps than I normally can or it just feels a little bit easier to do this. And I think one of the questions that I want to address is the fact that this is something that is completely different from your traditional stimulation.
A
Right.
B
Electric stimulation or just tens units. This isn't a magic pill. It's not going to automatically contract or lift your muscles.
A
Right.
B
Not the goal of our products. This isn't just, again, another traditional stim unit. The goal of our product is really to provide you with an alternate sensory input. So we are providing you with gentle vibrations. And essentially what those vibrations are doing is they might be able to help retrain your central nervous system so that you can improve your natural processes and actually perform and recover better on your own. So, and we love to call it a proprioceptive tool. It's just that gentle sensory input that's helping you feel and activate a certain part of your body properly. And that translates to so many different benefits. Again, whether that's, yes, gym, or while you're sitting at home trying to get rid of that pain, or even while you're trying to do something like walk.
A
Oh, for sure.
B
The list goes on and on. And we are again, so, so grateful and blessed to be in a position where people are coming to us and saying, hey, I've actually found that my mobility, my stride length, my balance, leg strength have improved when I use this device as an adjunct to my rehabilitation. And those are the best things to hear. And another thing that we have to work on is providing education to our customers because, yeah, people will buy the device and they might notice subtle improvements, but they want to know, what are the best practices with this? How can I use it for X, Y and Z? And that's something we're going to be making a big push for, and we're actually making a big push for right now. But essentially what we've been doing now is we've been teaming up with people like you and other practitioners, whether they're PTs, OTs, even some neurologists, and they're actually helping us design these protocols that we like to call Pulse Routines. And essentially. I know you've seen this already, but essentially what Pulse Routines is, it's just a section on our app and website that actually provides content and detailed information about how to use our product for a variety of applications. And again, we're great, really incredible people that are writing protocols that they've used and seen success with and then pairing it with our local vibration therapy technology.
A
And there's one I want to do on that actually, that I had when you said balance that, that I really worked for me. I was like, I was so. Cause I was using it on a day where I was just. I had done so much and I had to do. I was like, I gotta get my workout in. And I felt off balance and I put it on my thigh because I do this one where I'm lifting weights for balance and I have one leg up and one leg down. I'm like, oh, I don't Know if I could do this one today. And I did it, and I had my pulse device around my thigh, and I was able to lift it and stay up the whole time. So there's so many balance things that I. We haven't even talked about. We didn't talk about balance on this, but balance, I think, was the most surprising to me because I hadn't used it for balance yet, and I was like, whoa, I didn't expect this. And so it. It really helped with balance. So that's one that I wanted to do, but I thought that was really cool. Yeah.
B
Yeah. No, thank you for sharing, and we definitely need to do that with you. And one of the interesting things that's really happened over these last six to 12 months has been the amount of people specifically with Ms. That will use our device on their hips. A lot of times, that will translate again alongside a rehabilitation protocol that could translate to improvements in things like balance.
A
Yeah.
B
But then a lot of people are also using it to reduce that harsh stiffness that they might have or that tightness they might have in their hips as well.
A
Yeah.
B
So it's been incredible to hear about improvements in hip mobility.
A
Yeah.
B
That we've heard of. And it's. It's really been incredible for imbalance. So.
A
And there's so many things, especially when you've got, like, I got my clients that are doing their workouts, but they're, you know, they're restricted in a chair, and their hips. You know, we're trying to loosen hips up and stuff, and I'm on zoom with them, and they've just ordered one. They're like, can I put it on my hips? I'm like, yes, you can. So then they'll notice, like a. They're like, gosh, that. I feel like that really helped. I'm like, yes, keep doing that. And they'll feel that, you know, that sensation. They're like, I slept last night. And I'm like, yes. So another thing, too, that I've heard is, like, you know, spasticity comes in all different ways. Where mine feels like they're jumping or other. My clients will have it where it just locks out. And I'll notice that when they put it there. Then all of a sudden, the stuff that we're doing, their legs not locking out as much. So we're getting. They're able to do so much more because they're not struggling with, like, oh, great, now my leg's locked out. Which then in a session, whether it's, you know, physical therapy, whatever, we're doing. They can't do it. They're stuck because the leg's locked. So who knew when you made this that all of a sudden this was going to work for spasticity? Their legs locked straight, yet it, it makes it this opportunity where eventually it comes in and it's not going out as much. So. Yeah, there's so many things that I'm just like, didn't know it was going to do that, but it did. So it's just my favorite.
B
Yeah. Sorry to cut you off. That's something I hear because one of the things we hear about all the time, it's not only just that unlocking of like a stiff area or something like that. It's also if somebody's dealing with harsh pain, a lot of times they can't go throughout a movement or an exercise.
A
Right.
B
So a lot of the people Ms. That are again active in the gym really trying to better themselves on a day to day basis. A lot of them are just dealing with aches and pains that inhibit them from having a good workout or a good training session. I love hearing from people where they're like, I put the device on throughout an exercise and it got rid of pain or stiffness so much that I was able to unlock the full functionality and actually train at 100%. So I, that I'm going to video
A
that for you next time.
B
Yeah, please do. Yeah. It's so cool and it's, it's really profound and like you said, it's like we never knew it was going to have that.
A
Right.
B
These are things we're hearing every single day, which is really been a blessing.
A
Yeah. And that's really truly. I always say people that know me and that see me know that like we talked about in the beginning, know that I would not, I wouldn't keep talking about this device unless I was 100% in. And so they, they know that and they know that I have said no to different companies as hard as that is sometimes because I'm. The money would be nice. But however, this is something that is my credibility. This is who I am. And I can't say that when there's so many people in pain. So many people that are trying to do better and it's like I, I can't do it. So this has been just really exciting to see. And, and just I, and I also, you know, kudos to you for if I'm really busy, like, you know, this year has been for me, as you know, I can't sometimes if I, if I'm teaching or something. And I don't know how you get there quicker than I do because you're the busiest person I know. All of a sudden I'll look at them and I'll have it on a note, message this person I'll go to message them and I'm like you already did. And, and I'll say to you know, he or she, I'll say, you know, it looks like Ethan got to you and you get so many compliments of responding to people quickly and I just think that's awesome that you do that because it makes them feel like, wow, I can reach out and I get a response either from the person that they talked to in the beginning, whether it's me or I guess I'm not the only one, but I'm just kidding. But that you'll respond back if you haven't seen that person respond. And I think that that speaks the volumes of who you are and the company. And so there's a lot that people couldn't get a hold of of the love you like someone like you and, and you do, you're very good at that. So.
B
No, I appreciate that. Yeah. And kudos to our team too for providing me with a lot of the help to responding to some of these complex questions and situations. We really do just want to make sure that we're providing the best possible experience. I mean part of the reason we always slam the marketing on this 30 day money back guarantee because you, if you are spending $250 on a product, sure. We would never want you to be in a situation where you lost out on that money and the product just doesn't help you at all. We're gonna do whatever it takes to make sure that that product does work for you. When it comes to seeking guidance, we are always on top of it. We're, I mean we're available 24 7, literally provide detailed data.
A
I don't think you sleep. Do you sleep?
B
Sometimes. I could definitely do a little bit better. I think you and I both.
A
Yeah, it could be 2am and I'll be like, I have a question. Ethan, are you awake? Yeah. Yep.
B
I'm like, instant response.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
But yeah, it's just one of those things where it's like if we want to first determine that it definitely is not going to help you because look, it's not always a one size fits all. There's going to be certain situations where maybe it just doesn't help and you need to return the product. That's just the reality. But we're going to do everything in our power to make sure that you're using it effectively in a best practice kind of way. Because a lot of times people will try it and again, they might already be skeptical. They might not know anything about vibration or how it's supposed to feel. Right. And they might try it once and just give up.
A
Yeah. Oh for sure.
B
And like I understand when someone is just like, they've tried a million things under the sun, they don't even want to waste any more time trying this product to see if it works. But then they reach out to us and they say, all right, one last chance for Hobe. How should I use it for X, Y and Z? And we give them a recommendation or point them in the right direction to our pulse routines or something like that. And then all of a sudden they have this guidance and they're like, wow, I'm actually noticing improvements.
A
Exactly.
B
And again, that's where we can still do better. We want to push as much education as we can.
A
Yeah.
B
But going back to the price, because this is something that's been coming up quite often. Like so many people see a $250 price tag in this economy with everything going on is a lot of money. Oh for sure, anyone. And we totally understand too, for those people that are on fixed income, Social Security, whatever it is, and they are barely able to afford to live, people that can't afford food and we're super coherent about that, we know that people are in those situations. And again, this goes back to the 30 day money back guarantee. If you are willing to risk those 250, at least you have the guarantee that if this isn't working for you after a couple of weeks, you can return it for a full refund. I am a man of integrity. You absolutely do what we abide by. But aside from that, that $250 could actually be a life changing purchase. And I don't, I mean this product can, has and can change lives. We've seen it in real life pretty much every single day. And it's incredible to hear about people that are again using it alongside something like neuro rehab.
A
Right.
B
Finding that these improvements are not only happening in the short term, they're happening in the long term when they're not even using the device.
A
Right.
B
Sensory feedback can be so powerful because again, we're trying to help you retrain your central nervous system.
A
Exactly.
B
This is trying to help you again, not only in the short term with just that subtle boost in activation and strength, but Also, in the long term, when you're not using our products right, when you're focused on retraining your central nervous system, those gains start to again stack and stack and stack. And next thing you know, you're seeing improvements where you thought weren't even possible.
A
For sure.
B
It's really, really incredible. And asides from the fact of how powerful this device can be, the value for $250, again, lot of money. Totally understand there are so many other health technologies on the market that boasts similar results to our device that again, take a different approach, but share some of the similarities. A lot of those devices are thousands and thousands of dollars. A lot of them are very inaccessible. A lot of them are easy to use. A lot of wires, a lot of them are. The list kind of goes on and on. But I will always say that we are literally one of the most affordable pieces of health technology on the market, especially for the value we provide. We devices, we give you a carrying case, we give you everything.
A
Yeah, not just that, but it's feedback. It's the feedback that you get. It's the amount of people that you can get in touch with, whether it's like me or someone else. It's the amount. And I always say to people, when they say it's expensive, I'm like, absolutely, like you said, a lot of our on disability or on fixed income. But I'm like, okay, let's think about the stuff that's purchased on Amazon just in a month, just being totally honest, and the Starbucks and things like that. And let's just like take that off. What can you take off? And then have this. And then think about just, my God, the medications, the copays. I know, like my medications have gone up like crazy. If I. If you can take yourself off of some of that crap and use this, boom. So if you can think about it that way and kind of reframe it. And I always feel like for you, it's your product. For me, I'm sick. So I've got three different diseases that I can look at and say, if I can do this and I can say goodbye to this medication, goodbye to that one, it's worth it right there because, you know, two of them are over, even with insurance, over 100 bucks a month. So if I can say no to two, that's 200 bucks a month I'm saving. So I think it's just doing the math and just really thinking. Because you're immediately thought, your immediate thought is 200. I don't have that. But Then if you really just sit down and budget out and think, what am I spending a month on? What could I do without this time? And I would say, like, I know everybody's tired of the holiday stuff, but if, you know somebody like, this would be an amazing gift because if they are on a fix and they can't afford it, this would be something that would be a true blessing to somebody that, you know that, that needs this. And I mean, forget the crap that that's out there on Amazon, they can do without that. This is something that so many of us need and wouldn't do it for themselves. You know that I know so many people that I've talked to and especially parents, you know that they're like, I can't because my kids need this. And I mean, I could feel my kids were little, I would, I wouldn't have gotten this. I would have done stuff for them and just thought, I'll be fine, you know, And I think just, man, if you know someone that needs it and you could do this for them, do it. Because it is something that has changed. And I know my life when I think, when I. Especially when you've got something like this and you're overly stressed, we know what that does to us and you have an autoimmune disease, it changes everything. And I know with the stress I've been under and I've used, I think I've overused this false device that it's just like I'm going back on her again. But for me it's been a really a game changer because I've needed it. Whether it's my forearms, whether it's my legs, whether it's okay, I've got it, there's no one else to walk. You know, my therapy dog and she's ready for a two mile walk and I'm like, I can't. I'm like, hey, Paul's, are you going here? You're going here? So it is for those gains. And then I want my workout. So it's like, think about all the things that you need to get done in a day, whether it's your hips and stuff like that. And then calm down about the price, know if it doesn't work, you get to send it back. So I just think, I think it's something that you really have to sit down and take a breath and like you said, understand that it is something that's going to change stuff for you. So that's my two cents about it. But I, I just truly believe in, in the product so much. And talk to me about one of the things we talked about is what's the difference between the pulse and the TENS unit?
B
Yeah. So the TENS unit, and this is such a common question that we get just like on social media and through emails, but a TENS unit is really providing electrical stimulation that will automatically contract a muscle or block a pain signal. So TENS is much more powerful in the sense that it's strong electric stimulation and that in itself can have a lot of benefits. TENS is actually incredible for certain applications. Where it kind of falls short is the fact that a lot of times TENS units will only really help you right then and there. So again, if you are trying to automatically contract a muscle.
A
Mm.
B
Whether that's because you want to get some sort of foot and ankle lift or you want relieve a certain area of your body, whatever it might be, it can be good for that. But it's giving you that contraction right then and there and that might not necessarily translate to long term benefits. That's not reach. Again, trying to retrain your brain and body to build that connection so that you can do something like contract a muscle better on your own.
A
So where would you say to use that? Like if my thought would be like, okay, I'm, I'm, I'm going out somewhere with family and we're, let's say we're, we're gonna go walking through like the lights or something and we're going to go and do this big event and I, I don't have, I need this, I need my leg to work, damn it, I need it to work. So I'm going to put it there because I'm not looking forward to doing anything else. I just need it to work for this amount of time. Would you say that would be. Or I'm going to do this, like I'm going to do a bodybuilding show right now and I need it to work right now. So would that be kind of things that you would say?
B
Yeah. So 10 specifically can be good. If you're around the house looking for strong, strong pain relief, I think it can be really good again for blocking that pain signal. If you're relaxing around the house and you just want that temporary relief that you so desperately need, which again, our product can actually provide that as well in a lot of certain cases. But asides from that, generally speaking, functional electric stim, which is again similar because it uses electric stimulation but different in exactly how it works, is really the best. If you're trying to do something like get rid of drop Foot.
A
Yeah.
B
There's companies like Bioness and few others that have really incredible technology that again, will automatically cause those artificial contractions for you. So if you're walking throughout the day and you. Those products can be amazing. And they've helped.
A
Yeah. I'm really excited to learn more about them.
B
Yeah. And we have so many customers that use both. They will use an FES device, a functional electric stimulator, if they're out with their family, like you said, looking at the lights, whatever it is. But if they are trying to get better themselves, whether that's alongside physical therapy or at home rehab, or you're doing some sort of strength training at the gym or at home, whatever it might be, you're just trying to better yourself on your own. That's when the pulse device really comes in. And that's the biggest differentiator. Again, by providing that alternative sensory input, you are just making an effort to improve your natural performance and give yourself a little bit of a boost in something like activation to make something like lifting a muscle easier, but without doing it for you. And we've actually tested this. There's a lot of scientific validation behind local vibration therapy. We've used things like EMG sensors to actually tell is there an increase in muscle activation when you're using our device alongside a movement or an exercise? And is dramatic. Dramatic increases in muscle activation. So we're bringing you closer to that contraction without actually triggering it for you.
A
I love the science behind it. That's my favorite too. Yeah.
B
And it's incredible because we're essentially helping you recruit more motor fibers.
A
Yeah.
B
But again, we're not artificially contracting the muscle, so your body still has that final step on its own.
A
Yeah.
B
That final step is arguably the most important step because that's forcing your body to adapt and.
A
Right.
B
Something that I love talking about more than anything is the concept of neuroplasticity.
A
Yeah, yeah. Speaking my language now.
B
Yeah, yeah. Really Just reforming or reorganizing connections and vibration can help promote neuroplasticity in a really profound way. When it's used again alongside physical therapy or exercise.
A
Yeah. In a good way. And that's the important thing is because we know that, and I say this a lot, we can. When I'm teaching or doing physical therapy, whether it's exercise or physical therapy, we know we can create bad neuroplasticity. Right. So we know that when we first get Ms. Or we first are getting, you know, have a stroke, we can create bad patterns, you know, and it becomes just how we how we learn to get around, whether it's, you know, just creating that because, okay, this gets me from A to B. So then when you're using pulse device, you're now learning to recreate good plasticity. You're learning how to do, okay, I can do this. I have to. I always say this to people. We're going to have to go backwards before we go forward because we got some bad habits, we got some bad neuroplasticity. So we're going to go back to get some good new neuroplasticity. So I always say that especially with my new people that have the pulse device on, I'm like, now we're going to go forward with this and we're going to learn to do it the right way. And so I think that's another awesome way that to be used as well. Because you've got so many people who get stuck and whether they're circumducting or they're doing the vaulting because that's the way they've learned to get around, they don't know another way. So those are bad habits. But now we're retraining it.
B
You bring up such an important point, which is the fact that neuroplasticity, plasticity can work in two ways. And if you are in those bad habits, you're sitting around all day, you're not exercising, you're eating crappy food, whatever it is, you are training your brain that that is the norm.
A
Right?
B
And if you want to get out of that funk, you have to start doing things to better yourself on a consistent basis.
A
Right?
B
The pulse device is not a magic pill. It comes to all of those things you need to. The most important thing, I tell people with neuro conditions this all the time. The most important thing that you need to be doing is working on yourself day to day. From a nutrition standpoint, eat healthy, stay active. Again, one of the most important things, whether that's just a walk, strength training, however you can fit it in, anything is better than nothing.
A
Yeah.
B
So if you can practice those things as a baseline and then add something like a pulse, your routine in conjunction with that, that is when the magic
A
starts to happen 100%.
B
And that's when people are having the improvements where they are in shock about where they're at in their life now as, as they've been making those consistent daily decisions saying for sure, day, I'm going to go exercise today I'm going to eat right today I'm going to do physical therapy on my Right. Going to do some stuff at home with the Pulse device alongside. So I love the concept of neuroplasticity. There's actually this incredible speaker, his name's Mike Studer and forgive me Mike, if I'm saying your last name wrong but he's a really well known physical therapist and he has a TEDx talk, you can find it on YouTube about neuroplasticity. And I encourage anybody that wants to learn more about neuroplasticity to watch that because it is incredibly informative and will give you some motivation at the very least. Yeah, it's incredible to hear from people like you and clinicians that are using your advice about vibrations ability to make an impact promoting alongside those protocols. So it's really incredible. And again we'd be here and we're
A
super cool and also just using even like you saw that my editor and stuff uses. He's got terrible back and we use the Rock tape and the. And the pulse device as well. So it's the combination of things I think is so cool. And I love that because he's like my back, he's in so much pain and he'll use that combined and I love that because we'll be working and because he's. He's also got, you know, all this Ms. Stuff but a lot of what he does he's got to be seated for. And so it, it just, it's amazing to me just the different. One of my clients had a migraine and he's like, I put it on my head and it helped. I'm like okay, who knew? But you know, I was like go for it. And it just is. Is just been amazing to me the things that, that it's helped with but brought up.
B
Sorry to cut you off. There's no. You got really important tidbit right there which was you mentioned Rock Tape and using it pulse device. And I just want to touch on that for a moment because we talked about this earlier with like the FES devices a lot of people will use our device alongside their physical therapy or rehab. But then an FES device again just like throughout day to day mobility there are so many products that you can combine and stack our device with to improve your recovery or performance even more. And one of the ones that we hear about almost daily is combining Rock Tape with the Pulse. This has been one of the coolest integrations I have seen yet. And I just was speaking to someone actually literally earlier today that was dealing with wrist drop and yeah their clinician was actually combining Rock Tape around the wrist and actually even hands with our device on the forearm, the extensor mass, like right around here.
A
Yeah, that's a great idea.
B
Yeah, it's incredible. And they were just going through basic wrist flexibility exercises, and they were noticing not only a dramatic reduction in pain, but also a dramatic reduction or improvement in strength. And it just goes to show that when you keep an open mind and you combine multiple different products or protocols together, you can enhance those outcomes even further, for sure. And it's just exciting to see such incredible products like Rock used alongside our device, and people are just noticing the benefits immediately. It's really, really incredible. And I also have to give a big shout out to my good friend Stephen Capo Bianco from Rock Tape, because Rock Tape is one of the most incredible companies out there.
A
Yeah. I mean, it's been awesome to watch how they've gotten into the field of doing. Doing this in there. I mean, I've used it for, like. Like, my clients, my mom, when she was injured, and I just like putting Rock Tape on. I'm like, now you got to get the pulse device. And here, Rock tape you. Here comes, like, I want the swelling to go down. And so I really don't go anywhere without my little kit of, like, my pulse device, my rock tape. And. And I just think it's so. And this is my thinking is that wouldn't you rather have this in your pocket than a bunch of meds? I mean, I sure would. I don't want to be popping pills. I'd rather have this in my pocket to combine than have a bunch of pills. So I just think we're on. We're in. We're moving into a different. A different world, really, of where we're not going to need all this crap. We're not going to. We're not going to be listening to. You need this pill. You need this. You need this. We're moving into a totally different mindset of using different things, different equipment, and. Yeah. And the. In the front. Yeah. It's going to cost money, but it's going to be so much better for us than waking up drowsy and feeling like crap all day. So tell me, I really want to know what has been the most exciting story you've heard? I know I'm putting you on the spot, so I'll just say I'll give you this year. Okay. This year, before the new year, what's been the most exciting story you've heard of a. Of a client that you've been like, What?
B
Yeah, absolutely. Oh, man. There are so many that it's hard to even pinpoint one.
A
You give me two if you need to, if you want.
B
There are two that immediately come to mind and one of them, I'm. I'm actually, I'm gonna leave just because we're actually releasing a video on it soon and.
A
Okay.
B
I'm just gonna wait until that happens, but.
A
Okay.
B
Other one that I'm allowed to share. There's a customer we have in Florida, one of the nicest guys ever. He, he's had Ms. For over 20 years and one of the things that he's been dealing with since his diagnosis is really extreme weakness and atrophy.
A
Okay.
B
So what's happened to him is that he was no longer able to get his legs over the railing of his shower. Um, so he has a shower bathtub. And what happened was about five years into his, his diagnosis, he stopped being able to lift his leg over that railing.
A
Wow.
B
Okay. So he has one bathroom where it's a walk in tub and he was actually going to install another walk in tub in his main bathroom because again, he couldn't get his leg over the railing. He's been using the pulse device now for about a year, um, for a while. And he uses it on biking. So like cycling, he actually has one of those standalone bike machines where you can just on it and actually pedal right in your home. He uses it alongside that on his quad. And he has noticed such a dramatic improvement in strength. And again, this is not just when he's using the device. It was initially he was noticing the strength improvement just when he was using it. But after just a couple of months, his leg started to notice such dramatic improvements in strength that he no longer had to buy the walk in tub for his main.
A
Wow, that's awesome.
B
We've spoken now quite a few times, just going back and forth via email and he expressed some real gratitude for us and our company and going back to cost savings. He mentioned, I don't have to buy a $10,000 walk in.
A
Yeah, exactly.
B
So we were really, really happy that we were able to help him. And, and again, it going back to the idea that this isn't a magic pill, he put in hard work alongside using the pulse device in order to get to that point. It wasn't an overnight success story. He was biking, he was exercising, he was doing everything he could do to benefit himself. He told me he was actually increasing his protein intake, which a hundred percent can have an impact. That too. So it was a combination of things that led dramatic improvement in just day to day life.
A
Yeah, yeah.
B
Hearing things like that and it's so incredible because like in so sad in a lot of ways too because it's like when you're somebody that's not involved in the neuro community, right. You would never think about something as simple as getting into your shower or as simple as opening and closing your hand or whatever it might be. And so many people take those things for granted. And since our devices really come into this physical therapy and rehab market and we get testimonials like this guy from Florida all the time it keeps us so motivated because so many of these people just the things that we take for granted, the things that we think are so simple they've gotten taken away from them. And if we can help even one person sit here and say we're helping thousands and thousands of people at this point our job is well worth it. So it's been so incredible to hear testimonials like that and we're so excited to make this product better so that we can help more people make.
A
Oh yeah.
B
Improvements in their day to day.
A
I've got a one client I'm trying to. I know he's on a really tight budget but he definitely, he's done so much. I mean I've had him for five years and the strength that he has now from when I first started teaching him I know that Paul's device would do remarkable because his whole thing is that the weakness and he can now like squat where he couldn't do that at all. And so I'm like, I really want him to get it and I'm just like if I had the money I would just get it for you right now. And I really know he would benefit from it. Like I know he would because he's, and he's one of like the, the, the easiest going, the kindest guys like when he can't get his foot over to do a stretch and he just keeps pushing and keeps pulling and keeps pulling. He doesn't give up. And he's never, he's never a no show. He's in California. He never, he always shows up to do the workout and so just a great guy but I'm just like I need you to get this so. But just a really great guy and one of those guys that like OC Access in California won't show up and he's on the side of the road waiting for hours and he'll be like kind of mad but you wouldn't know it like, he's just where I'd be. Like, my Italian temper would be like, where are you? Like, where the hell are you?
B
Yeah.
A
So. And he's just like, kind of takes it with a grain of salt. So those are the kind of people that put the work in. You know, that you're just like, you deserve for this to work. And it's like you said, people who are just gonna, you know, eat crap, then you know, they're not gonna put the work in. You're not gonna see a lot. It's not a magic pill. You gotta put work in. So I love that, that, that you put it that way, because it's not. And so you can't expect it to do something that it's not made to do. You have to work with it. So I love that. Let me see any other. Any other crazy questions I may have for you. Let's see. One of the things I know I had for you was. See anything that you've got. I know the Pulse two. We talked. I was going to like, should I ask him that? But we already talked about it. What are some of the things in the next two years that you're most excited about? Come in. Besides the Pulse, too?
B
Yeah, totally. I'm really, really excited. I know I mentioned this earlier also, but I'm really excited to push out more education.
A
Yeah.
B
Because one of the. One of the important things, too, that we haven't had too much of a focus on yet has been giving the education to the providers as well, because we really need as many physical therapists and occupational therapists and neurologists to find out about vibration therapy because it's still such an emerging topic and even the clinicians sometimes don't know that this exists.
A
Oh, for sure.
B
Yeah. If we can educate the practitioners so that they can relay this information and actually use it in their practice so that it's widely adopted. I. I think that would be great. We do have a continued education course actually sponsored by Celia Rehab, which is a company that actually hosts a bunch of aota American Occupational Therapy Association. So we release that on vibration therapy, and it helps teach practitioners how to use vibration and how.
A
Okay.
B
Their practices. But I want to push out more of those courses. I want to team up with more practitioners and just release as much content about this to spread awareness. So that's really what I'm excited about. And I'm really excited to release our sleep settings and our general wellness settings. So, yeah, in conjunction with the new device, we have new settings that are being released as well.
A
Okay.
B
To even provide further value. And we've been testing these settings for months and months and months, and we've finally gotten to the point where we're confident how much of a significant impact they can have.
A
That's great. I didn't know that you were doing that.
B
Yeah, it's incredible. One of them is actually. It's meant for general wellness, like I mentioned, but you actually just. The device on your wrist and what that does is it actually just helps give you that neural feedback that helps calm you, reduce anxiety, reduce stress, and a lot of times.
A
Awesome.
B
It just promotes a better day. We're really excited about that. And then we're really excited for those sleep settings that again, yeah. Work best with our extended battery life.
A
So we're.
B
We're really, really pumped for that.
A
Yeah, that. That sounds really exciting. I'm excited about that. Especially for some of us that don't sleep at all. So it's like, that'll be. That'll be really great. That's a good.
B
I'll be using those settings for sure.
A
Definitely. I love the idea of that. And then I would say, like, what. What is the. What companies are you looking at that you really look at and say, I want to collaborate with them? Like, those are some, like, companies that you're looking forward to. If you can say that, you look at and say that, that's a company that I could get behind that I want to collaborate with some of the
B
companies I'd love to work with going forward. I know we talked about it before, but Rock Tape is definitely one of them because, for sure, many people use our product together. And yeah, I heard and seen it for myself. So many incredible results from Rock Tape. So love what they're doing. And then the other one, which just got put on my radar actually, is this company called Naboso, which they actually created these new innovative socks that can help thing. Help with things like Proprioception, similar to our product, but also help with things like relief and feel. So I'm really interested in what they're doing because I've had a few customers message me and just say, hey, we use Naboso socks and we also use the Pulse device, and we're seeing some really incredible results. So I'm actually on my to do list is to reach out to them. So, yeah, I'm excited about that with them as well. And that's really cool. Their founder has a really cool story, so I'm intrigued. But yeah, definitely want to collaborate with as many companies as we can and just for sure help optimize those recovery outcomes.
A
Yeah. Well, Ethan, I can't again, I love collaborating with you. I love, I love being a part of Pulse Device. I love, I can't wait to do some of the videos and some of the things for the balance and I'm just, I couldn't be more excited to be with you and to be a part of Paul's. It's been a really cool journey through all this. And I can only say to people like I always do, you are just an exceptional human. I mean, I don't know what else to say. You are extremely giving, extremely caring and, and you are, you, your character is, is truly a person who just really gives back. And I've seen that with the incredible craziness that I've had in this year. You've done just really kind things for others and for so many. And so I just wish you the best, wish all of us the best and hopefully very happy holidays for you. And that this Black Friday stuff and all the holidays that Pulse will just people really take serious and really purchase these for, for loved ones and for themselves. So I'm thank you again for this catch up. I'm like, we haven't done this in forever and after holidays I'd love to do a Q and A time where we just really can help answer some questions that people have. So that would be really cool. So definitely.
B
And Kathy, thanks so much for the kind words. You're one of the strongest women I know. Just people I know.
A
Thank you.
B
And seriously, you've done so many incredible things and we're super, super grateful for everything you do and you're helping so many people too. So thank you. Incredible to work alongside you and see all this for myself. And I get messages all the time about how much you've helped people.
