A perfect family. Does it exist? To this mom, a perfect family IS a happy mom and her kids. In this moving episode of Nailed It Motherhood, we’re joined by a courageous mother who opens up about her journey through life’s wilderness—not once, but twice—and how those challenging seasons ultimately led her to purpose, peace, and a new definition of family. After finding herself in relationships that didn’t align with the path God had for her, she was forced to slow down, be still, and listen. Living in her grandmother’s bustling home after the birth of her son, she began journaling her way through pain—and discovered the voice of God in the quiet. That obedience birthed her first book, "Walk With Purpose, Not On Purpose." In her words: “Just because the circumstances aren't ideal doesn’t mean your baby doesn’t desire life on this earth.”Now, she is thriving as a mother, author, and mentor to young girls—teaching them to love themselves and trust their journey. This episode is a powerful reminder that healing is possible, peace is attainable, and sometimes, the perfect family is the one you create—just you and your kids.Tune in for a conversation filled with faith, growth, purpose, and the strength of a truly happy mom.Connect with T'Keya AnnFacebookInstagramwww.tkeyaann.orgPurchase her book: Walk with Purpose Not on Purpose: Transformation from Pain to Purpose 30 Day DevotionalSend us Fan MailSupport the showWe might have the recipe nobody wrote down!Shop Nailed It MotherhoodIf you'd like to share your story, sign up to be a guest here!Support Our Podcast by "Buying Me a Coffee".Join the Conversation and Subscribe to our Podcast:www.naileditmotherhood.com https://www.skool.com/nailed-it-motherhood-podcast-6812/aboutFollow us online:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nailed.it.motherhood.podcast/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/naileditmotherhood/is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pcPodcast CreditsHost & Producer: Tamara EldridgeMusic from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/moire/new-life License code: 8BJOM5NVSQEO1S7XRising Above (Short Version) BoDleasons https://pixabay.com/users/bodleasons-28047609/

There's something about a father's love that brings consistency and healing to a family. Though Steffon Coles didn't get the best of his father, he gave his all to give his best to his wife and her four children. Being the step up father, he knew how important it was that his home be a house of healing. That didn't change when the first four were almost graduated and out the door and the parents welcomed their nieces - now daughters - into their healing home. This special guest knows that the road wasn't easy for any of his family members, but he knew how much it meant for him to be there and make sure his kids knew it! One thing he is proud to say is that he modeled his love as a father after the Father's Love. “I think if I had recognized my mask sooner, my healing would’ve come sooner!” Even as parents, we have some of our darkest days…and as much as we need to be okay for our kids, we need to be okay for ourselves first. Dr. Christal Chatman explains one of her darkest times in life where she was hiding behind a mask, but she gives us hope since she surrounded herself with a village and a God that helped pull her back up! It was through her pain that a piece of her purpose rose and because of that we have not only her smile and her wisdom, but her story! If you know a mother who sometimes hides behind the pain, let them hear some ways that Dr. Chatman got out! She leaves those who feel like they are struggling with these words:“Ask for help! Remove the mask for a moment, and if there isn’t a friend, a family member, someone you can trust with your heart, then seek a therapist and talk to a therapist.”Disclaimer: This episode does cover the triggering topic of suicide.
