Yeah, well, I appreciate that I have someone helping me from the other side because I realized a long time ago that I'm not running this sh.

[Barbara Banner]

Right.

[Alex Ferrari]

That's a good way to think about it.

[Alex Ferrari]

So you have a very unique backstory to where you are now. So now you are a psychic medium.

[Barbara Banner]

Yes.

[Alex Ferrari]

Correct.

[Barbara Banner]

A little trance thrown in.

[Alex Ferrari]

Little trance, okay. But you weren't always like that. So what was your life like before this insanity came into your life?

[Barbara Banner]

Well, I can't say I'm one of those people who saw orbs when I was in my crib or anything like that. I didn't realize. When I was about 13, I said to my friends, I think I'm a witch. I don't know, but there's certain things I had. You know, I just had really good intuition. And then the last other thing that made me realize I was interested is I've always been interested in paranormal things. And I watched all the shows and I read a book from Sylvia Brown, who's way before your time.

[Alex Ferrari]

Oh, I know Sylvia Brown.

[Barbara Banner]

Okay, so I was interested then. Anyway, I always wanted to do. I always loved doing volunteer work. So I said, I want to get in there and lift up my sleeves. You know, I don't want to just write a check. I want to get involved. So they're in front of me looking for volunteers for a women's, like, crisis hotline. And it was like a three month training. It was grilling on every aspect. Grief, incest, you know, homelessness, everything. So it was wonderful. And I did that 14 years under the tutelage of wonderful psychologists and everything else. And then I said, okay, I'm ready for something new. I'm always innovating myself, reinventing myself. And I said, okay, ER at Cedars, the fastest, biggest hospital in the country, that should give me. I'm an adrenaline junkie. I finally confessed, and there's no groups for that, so I have to live with it. And I've been doing that for, like, nine or ten years. And then somebody told me about the LA Crisis Response Team. And we go to scenes, the police are already there, where the family has come on the scene, and it's always, the body is there, and we just try to help the family, you know, with the process, what was going on to them. Yeah, because the police are too busy measuring and finding how. Doing their job, Doing their job. So. And that's. That's been pretty crazy and very rewarding. And people always say, why do you do that? And I say, because I can.

[Alex Ferrari]

Sure. And it works for you.

[Barbara Banner]

I'm the calm person at the end of the phone, when 911-like-911 operators, someone calls up, my wife's on fire. What do I do? Well, what is the address? And when? How did it start? They're always calm.

[Alex Ferrari]

So when you're going through all of these different adventures in your life, were there hints of your psych? Not a clue. So during those kind of like those crime scenes, you didn't see someone hanging out?

[Barbara Banner]

No, I didn't see anybody hanging out. And even. Even after I became a medium and was going out on calls, they said, you know, you're not going to do any of this stuff on the scene there. You know, this is not for that.

[Alex Ferrari]

So I heard. They had heard already that you had.

[Barbara Banner]

Well, they knew I was a medium, so, yeah, they knew. And I said, I have no intention of that. I'm here to help the other people.

[Alex Ferrari]

So when was the first time you kind of came to grips with, like, oh, wait a minute, I got something here.

[Barbara Banner]

Oh, I had been going out for commercial things and we have to do our own audition tapes. And I wanted to play it back before I sent it out. And there are Arabs flying everywhere. There were not orbs flying when I was doing it, but the video was full of orbs. And I said, oh, my gosh. I told my husband, spirit wants to see me. I have to do something about that. And then it all came to me that everything that I've done, from crisis hotline, to being in an ER and then to being on the scene of deceased people, it was all a divine Interference to get me to where I needed to be, which was a medium. I just looked up something. Suzanne Gieseman. She sounds credible. I'm gonna go to her. So she was the first one I went to Suzanne's.

[Alex Ferrari]

Amazing. And that's when you started seeing. So what did you do when you first started to. Did you do hear?

[Barbara Banner]

I hear, see, feel, and sometimes, you know, and can say their exact words. And they move me as well. You know, I'm in a session and I'm doing the hula and you know.

[Alex Ferrari]

But let me. So let me ask you, though, when you're receiving this information, is your psychic? Because I always like to make this distinction between a psychic and a medium. From what I understand, you can be a psychic and not a medium, but you can't be a medium without being a psychic.

[Barbara Banner]

Exactly.

[Alex Ferrari]

So your psychic abilities, where you're hearing, as traditionally, you hear the future, you hear someone's. You know, what you're. What you see for them, and so on. Is that coming. Where is that source coming from? Is that from your guides? Is it from their guides? Is it Uncle Bob? Like, where is that information coming from?

[Barbara Banner]

It's coming from the client's loved ones. You know, that's there. It's a hard question to answer because almost I would think that every mediumship reading has a bit. You can't really keep it out. You do feel a little different when you're doing a psychic reading other than a mediumship reading. So I just take what comes. I just say it. I trust whatever they're giving me. Wherever it came from, I'll take it, and I just go with it. It's trust. It's just about trust. So I usually don't feel that it's a psychic reading. First of all, they don't want to give. They don't want to tell you about the future anyway because you could change your mind tomorrow and go a different route. So I never tell. If people want to know, how's my future? I'll just let spirit act it out and sort of show me symbolically that it's going to be okay, that it's good and you're on the right road and you've got a lot of people helping you.

[Alex Ferrari]

So that's kind of where you go with it.

[Barbara Banner]

Yeah.

[Alex Ferrari]

Have you ever gotten information and said, I really shouldn't say that to them?

[Barbara Banner]

Yes, but it's not. When you think.

[Alex Ferrari]

Tell me.

[Barbara Banner]

You may have to block this out. I don't know what the parameters are. Sure. A couple of years ago, the hardest thing for me was learning to trust whatever they do. Whatever they tell you, just say it, because you can't make this stuff up. I had an older woman and she wanted to see her mother. Okay, I don't know if I should be saying this.

[Alex Ferrari]

Anyway, don't say their names.

[Barbara Banner]

No, there's no names. So I'm talking conversing with Spirit, and all of a sudden she shows me something. And I was in a group read and I froze because there's no way I could say that and not feel it. So everyone in my practice group was looking at me like, why are you just sitting there looking?

It was great. It's one of the top 10 skits. And so I literally just had to think that spirit had a little snafu. And they're giving me something that doesn't belong here, and I just winged it. And then afterwards, you know, when the guest sitter was gone, they said, what the heck did you see that? You couldn't say it? And I told them, and they just weren't stitches. They just.

I mean, it's hilarious. Did you, like, see Justin Timberlake?

[Barbara Banner]

Oh, yeah, I saw Andy Samberg. And they're dancing with the boxes, junk. And they lift it up, you know, I couldn't believe it.

So what. Where did that. So did you ask what the heck that was about?

[Barbara Banner]

No, I didn't, actually. I just thought it was just a little glitch for a grandma.

For a grandma.

For a grandma and an older woman. I thought, this will not go over well and do no harm. That's what you do no harm. I thought it could just blow up, the whole thing, really.

I would have gone for it. Yeah, well, because you have to trust.

[Barbara Banner]

You have to trust. I did, but I really. It was so out of character for this little granny, you know, like the Tweety Bird.

[Alex Ferrari]

She might be a freak behind the doors. You don't know.

You know, I just said to let it go.

But when you are getting this information, is it coming? Do you hear. Do you hear it in your mind?

I see it. I hear it.

When you say see. See it in your mind's eye.

In your mind's eye. So you see images coming in?

And then as far as you hear it, you hear it in your mind. Okay. It's not like you're hearing someone, like, speaking audibly.

No, I just really saw and heard the whole thing. And I.

Inside your mind. Okay.

In my mind. And then I said, not. It's not happening, guys. Just.

[Alex Ferrari]

So when you decided to come out of the. The psychic medium closet, what was it like for you? I always like asking that question because it's not an easy path to walk. And it's getting easier now than it Was five years ago. Ten years ago. Yeah, but what was it like for your family, your friends, your colleagues?

[Barbara Banner]

Well, I had to come out to my husband because I told. I didn't even start by telling him I'm doing a mediumship thing. I said, I'm taking a communication class. Okay, that's benign. There's nothing wrong with that. And then when I started realizing, hey, I'm really good at this, you know, I sat him down, I said, look, I have to tell you something, and you can either be part of it because there's some amazing things happening, or you can just say, no, I don't want to know anything. So he said, I'm in. And he's, you know, I have to prove it more to him than somebody, you know. Of course. So. Yeah. So he gets it now. He gets it now. My mother. Excuse me, My mother was 103 and a half.

Oh, my.

[Barbara Banner]

And three and a half. You don't want to get that old, believe me.

[Alex Ferrari]

I mean. Well, I mean, it depends on how you're holding up, but.

[Barbara Banner]

And so I went to her, because my father has been coming through. I said, mom, I gotta tell you something. I don't know how you're gonna take it. I've been talking to dad. I'm a medium now. And I wanted to. And I, you know, I wanted to tell you, you know, I hope I don't trip you over to the other side with that kind of news, with a heart attack. But she said, your grandmother used to drag me around to psychics, to mediums, to tea leaf readers, to tarot card readers, when I was a. You know, everyone else is going to ballet class. I'm going to like Lucy, the medium, you know, from Russia. So I said. And she goes. And your grandmother had it, too. I said, mom, you're 103 and a half. When did you think you were going to tell me this? And I guess she wasn't, because back

in the day, that was not something you talked about. No, that's in the back of the house in the extra spare bedroom. You hear from. Oh, Auntie. Auntie Joan convinced me there's people lined

up, whether they just want some information from my girl, you know, it was quiet.

[Alex Ferrari]

It was not public.

[Barbara Banner]

No. When I was 16, my mother bought me for a birthday present, a Ouija board. And I looked at her and said, why would you get me a Ouija board? And I said, you know, I need a dress and some nice heels, so let's return that. And now I look back, she. I think she was divinely guided to pick that out so to see what happened. But I wasn't ready. And they say that until your soul is ready, it's not gonna happen. It'll happen when it's supposed to.

[Alex Ferrari]

But there is a lineage in your family of this.

[Barbara Banner]

And for all the people that channeled for me, they all say the same thing, that I've been doing this for like a thousand years. And that's why I picked it up. And on my first practice reading, I said, you know somebody named Thomas with a white dog? And they said, yes. And I said, what? I couldn't believe it. I said, it's just beginner's luck. But the word got around and people were saying, you should hang a shingle. This was seven months after my first class at which. Which I never even meditated before that. I didn't even. I didn't know how to meditate. So it happened really fast.

[Alex Ferrari]

When you meditate, does it. Like, how is it different for you than it would be for me in that sense? Like, do you see things differently? Do things. Messages start flying in at a deeper level because you're meditating?

[Barbara Banner]

No, sometimes I get woken up in the middle of the night by spirits sometimes because they have something they need to tell me.

[Alex Ferrari]

Oh, that must be fun.

[Barbara Banner]

Oh, And I either have to go drag myself into my office and get a pen and start writing down what I hear, or sometimes I just go into the den and record it. Do it. Just do it. Trance and record it and send it to the client. And it's very accurate. So it's like we all, as people who can have spiritual gifts, we all have the ability to do it. And when I'm meditating or trying to get into the mindset of trance, the whole point is not using your head, is keeping your head empty is just listening to nothing and following. I do guided meditations and just following along. So there's no room for spirit in there for me. If I'm in a meditating sense. I got stuff to do. I gotta get my head out of it.

[Alex Ferrari]

Do you put a closed sign up for spirit? Cause I've heard that from psychics. There's business hours.

[Barbara Banner]

I know some people do that and I haven't. They haven't been too obtrusive. But. But. And I get some good stuff at 3am yeah, it's a different.

[Alex Ferrari]

Well, you're also at a different place in your brain.

[Barbara Banner]

Exactly. Your frequency is different. It's much better. Trance is like, you know, the stage right before you Fall asleep. It's that netherworld. That's what it is. And I want to stay in that. In that.

[Alex Ferrari]

Oh, it's the best. It's the best right before you go to sleep. Yeah, but I find it better when I'm just about to. Like, I'm half awake, half asleep.

[Barbara Banner]

Yeah, but your conscious critical mind is not working.

[Alex Ferrari]

Not really there.

[Barbara Banner]

You're just feeling it.

[Alex Ferrari]

But you're not all in one. Yeah, a foot in both.

[Barbara Banner]

Exactly.

[Alex Ferrari]

That's when messages come through much easier. Communications much through, much easier. And that's what the goal is of meditation, is to try to find that happy spot, at least to get to that place. I do.

[Barbara Banner]

Keeps changing. Like, I had a week of downloads and I was just walking around just vibrating, you know, I just. And so as I progress, it's easier. They just pop in. I was going to visit a girlfriend who was my daughter's nanny and her father had passed away and I had asked her if she wanted a reading and she said no, she wasn't ready. And he gave me. He showed me lined up flowers, beautiful flowers lined up in a vase and then her putting it all together. So I didn't want to, you know, if someone says, I don't want to do it. I said, have you been dealing with flowers and maybe making an arrangement? She goes, I just bought the flowers today and I'm putting them together tomorrow for my son's birthday. So I said, you father told me that. So now I said, when you're ready. And it really affected her beautifully.

[Alex Ferrari]

I mean, so you've mentioned trance a couple times. What do you mean exactly by trance? Like, I mean, I know what trance channel is.

[Barbara Banner]

Well, channeling and trance really is the same thing. Okay. It's my higher self with my guides and whoever else is coming.

I just get myself into a mindset and I try to focus on something different, like I'm looking at a picture on a wall and I try to let them do their stuff without me getting involved, because it can only go haywire if my mind gets involved. And I have to keep out of it. You have to keep your ego out. You have to keep everything out. You have to not think about it. And I just do a tape. I just tape myself and all these messages are coming out and my voice is, you know, I don't sound like Winston Churchill or anything, but it changes. It changes just the, you know, the rhythm of it. And I get soft, and you can understand that I'm not really a soft person. So it. And I just let it go.

[Alex Ferrari]

Interesting. And what do you know who's coming through? Or is it just a group?

[Barbara Banner]

It's usually my higher self or, or the other spirit that came to me that night.

[Alex Ferrari]

Oh, so that's so. But it's not like I always use this example, which is such a great example of, of, of psychic mediums work is Whoopi Goldberg and Ghost, where the ghost, like, literally the spirit walked in and took completely over the body.

[Barbara Banner]

Completely over.

[Alex Ferrari]

No, no, that's right.

[Barbara Banner]

But they do. Like, I had a. I was doing a reading and. And two people she said, were very much the same. You have to give me something that I can do. And I start going like this. And I said, I don't know, it looks like she's churning butter. And the woman just looked at me like I was nuts and why am I here? I said, look, I know they're not plunging a toilet, but I think they're churning butter. And she goes, yeah, you were right. So it's interesting. But my hand just does that. I just go into it.

[Alex Ferrari]

But it's not being controlled. They're not controlling it, but they're influencing you a bit, I guess, right?

[Barbara Banner]

I can't say they took over my whole body and, you know, I don't know what's happening, but I'm mimicking what they. What they show me. It's. Yeah.

[Alex Ferrari]

What is the most surprising session? That when something came through years, like besides the junk in the box, that wasn't surprising, but something that was so one. That was one that was surprising, funny and profound. Any of those three?

[Barbara Banner]

All right, can I have more than one?

[Alex Ferrari]

Absolutely.

[Barbara Banner]

I had a woman whose husband committed suicide and she wanted a reading, and her daughter was there who was a teenager. And everything I said was, that's too broad. That's not specific enough. Everything she asked me was specific. What was my nickname when I was six and you know, what would my pajamas look like yesterday? And it was really, it was really frustrating for me. You know, I was being graded on every single thing. And I knew I was not going on the podium to get a medal, so I ended it with her. And I just said, by the way, the, the symbol for your daughter is unicorns. And she said, we don't have any use with unicorns. That's crazy. So that was over, thank God. A year later I get an email, can you stop the unicorns? And then her husband came the next night and he showed me something. He showed me a half a toasted bagel with the center, you know, it's scooped out. And I got in touch with her and I said, he showed me the bagel and everything. And she said, every Jewish woman scoops out their bagel. That's not evidence, you know, that's nothing. Then she gets back to me a week later and said I was at my husband's parents house and he said he invented a tool and he has a prototype and I should look at it and see if I knew what it was. She said, he brought out this thing. I said, I have no idea what it is. He said, it's a bagel scooper. I got goosebumps on that too.

[Alex Ferrari]

Wow.

[Barbara Banner]

Okay. Another one that was. Oh, this is a funny one. I always like to have them ask a question to spirit. But I said, I don't want to know about it. But it has to be in a certain genres. Otherwise it's too hard. Something that you know, that they're around you or the question you have. So she asked a question, and then I said, I see a boat on a lake, and that's just a vehicle to dress it up. And you're in the front, and your father, who was the spirit we were talking to, is in the back. And in the middle there's another guy. And your father's getting up, and he threw the guy overboard. And he said, I'm not picking him up. Leave him there. Let's go. I said to the client, I said, I gotta ask you. What was the question? She said, do you like my new boyfriend? I said, well, we have our answer, don't we? Here's one that just gets to your heart. I had a woman, and during her question to me, I said, okay. And I didn't hear the question. I. I see a little boy riding on the back of a butterfly in heaven, and he's dive bombing and he's having the best time. And she just, like, broke down. And she said, when my son died, and he was young, maybe six or something, when my son died, I bought a book that I could read to his younger sister so she might understand about death and what's happening. And she said, in that book is a picture of a little boy riding on a butterfly in heaven. And she sent me the picture. So that one. I never forget that. I never forget that.

[Alex Ferrari]

How do you deal with all of the psychological stuff that comes through with doing this kind of work? I mean, I have to imagine.

[Barbara Banner]

Well, I have a lot of trouble training with therapists and to be on the crisis response team. You get, you know, experts in the field to train you on stuff. So I'm pretty chill. I'm pretty, you know, I can. I just do what has to be done, and I don't get emotionally involved.

[Alex Ferrari]

Now, you mentioned your. You were mentioning your higher self. Can you explain what that is to. In your. I mean, spirit guides? I think most people understand, but the higher self is kind of a little bit more enigmatic. What does that mean exactly?

[Barbara Banner]

We all have our higher self, you know, attached to us, I think. And, you know, you might have a lot of people calling and say, she didn't know what she's talking about. So I'm just trying to like, remember, we're attached to them, and they know everything about us. They're like the akashic records of us. Yes, they. They help us keep ascending until we are our best selves. And they know everything. They're. They're above spirits. I mean, they're above guides.

[Alex Ferrari]

Yeah, but you're saying they.

[Barbara Banner]

No, it's one entity. And it usually comes into my funnel when I'm channeling of just enormous light, just a powerful, energetic force. And that's what we want to. That's where it all is. That's where the good stuff is. That's the safe that we try to open and get some of that stuff out and incorporate it. And to me, I think that's right. My trance mentor, Nico, the medium. I'll have to check with him. But it has everything about us in our best form, in our most pure form, and they know everything.

[Alex Ferrari]

What would you tell somebody who's listening right now, who's just lost a loved one and is curious about, are they okay? Did they make it? Are they in the other place?

[Barbara Banner]

Every. You know, it's funny. Yesterday I was doing a reading on someone, and it was one of these that I wrote down, you know, at six o' clock in the morning. And I said, this is a weird reading. It's like listing 10, 15 things that they're doing from, you know, surfing to skateboarding to flying a kite, all this listing stuff. And I didn't understand why it came like that. But at the end, I said, do you have any other questions? She said, you answered all of them. One of my main questions was, what are you doing on the other side? Are you having a life? Are you doing things you wanted to do that you couldn't do? So spirit is so smart. You just have to trust them. At the end, she goes, okay, okay. She said, give me. Is there one more message from my son? And this is one of the times that I think, should I really say this? It's not that bad. I said, okay. Who loves cottage cheese? And she just says, my husband and I eat cottage cheese every day. It's our favorite. It gets protein. And I said, your son's telling you that you need to get some more. So she takes. Takes the phone and goes to the refrigerator, opens it up. There's a big cottage cheese. She looks inside, she goes, I do need more.

Yeah, that's super fun. So from your work, have you gotten a picture of what the other side is like?

[Barbara Banner]

I have to say, I hear so much about and I read so much about it. I can only imagine. Oh, I know. What I know from it is what Spirit is showing me. Like they'll show me somebody's son with their dog running through a beautiful field with the colors that you can't imagine. So what I get is from Spirit. I have not had an nde.

[Alex Ferrari]

Nde?

[Barbara Banner]

Yeah, I haven't had that.

[Alex Ferrari]

So it's just basically images, images and

[Barbara Banner]

feelings from the other side from your work.

[Alex Ferrari]

How it's one thing like, yeah, I want to talk to my son who's Passed. Or I want to talk to my uncle who's passed, or something like that, or mom or dad. How are the ancestors in our lineage guiding us, or are they guiding us?

[Barbara Banner]

I have not had ancestors come through. I have. I'm after my last trip to Arthur Findlay College. They're going, it's a new age. The client is not the same old lady. You're gonna have people with rings in their nose and tattoos all over their face. We've got to go. We've got to be ready for them. And so he suggested that the new thing is don't just say, okay, let's just see who comes, okay? He says, let's go right there. Ask them, give me a relationship and a name of somebody you want. And it's like they always come through.

[Alex Ferrari]

You're always there.

[Barbara Banner]

They're just. Well, you know, we keep telling them, your loved ones are always around you, because that's what they. That's. That's the way it is. So I know they're there whether they want to come through, but they all come through. And if it's somebody else, it's usually because they have a message that needs to be said right now because they don't know how long it's gonna go. And so I give that message, like, look up on your cousin. Cause she's not doing well. She's really in a bad place. And then I excuse that person. And then the other, you know, the one that she actually wants. I'm certified with Helping Parents Heal and Mark Ireland's Certified mediums. And I get so many people who've lost children. I mean, it's the worst. It's the hardest. I was called in about two years ago to be at a meeting for one of the groups. And after that, I said, that changed my life. That had such a profound impact on me of where I'm going and what. What I can do. So I can't bring their loved ones back, but I can bring them closer. And that's what I try to do. I try to make them understand that they're around you. And usually. Usually a lot. So many people say I don't feel them. I haven't felt them for two months or three months. You keep telling me he's around. Okay, if he's really around, he will know what Netflix show I binge watched over the summer, right? So I look at her husband who's on the other side, and I said, outlander. She said, that's it. I almost fell off the chair. I can't Even believe it. It's just so. Everything is so amazing that we hear and see. And it's just.

[Alex Ferrari]

Well, for people who are. I feel like a lot of these abilities are coming out more and more nowadays in this world.

[Barbara Banner]

And people can talk about it.

[Alex Ferrari]

Yeah, they definitely can talk about it. But this shift in consciousness that humanity is going through, these things are coming up. We are all capable of all this stuff.

[Barbara Banner]

Everybody.

[Alex Ferrari]

Everyone's capable. It's not special gift. Some are. It's just kind of like we could all play basketball, but we're all not gonna be Michael Jordan.

[Barbara Banner]

Exactly.

[Alex Ferrari]

It's just different variations of it, but we all can do it in one way, shape or form. What would you say to someone who's starting to feel like they have some sort of gift or they're starting to feel it? Maybe they're a little confused. You know, the trusting of the images, the trusting of the. Because that's the thing I get here the most. Like, is it me making this up or not?

[Barbara Banner]

That is the. For all new mediums, I'm sure. And it took me several years, you know, to just say. I'm just gonna say it. I say, if you feel like you are meant to do this or you want to just explore it, take a class. Take one of Suzanne Giesman's beginning classes. You don't even have to know how to meditate, but she will tell you, you better meditate every day or you're not gonna come back. That's what I say. Try it. Try it. You'll know if you feel. If you feel it in you, that it's there and it wants to come out and help people. It's about service.

[Alex Ferrari]

I went through. I've had a couple of sessions with people who have guided me. Not to do psychic or channeling or anything like that, but guided me through, like, either. Not past life regression, but like. A friend of mine, Richard Martini, was on the show, and he guided me to my council. He takes people to their council to. To speak to their council. And he goes, I could do it with anybody. And I'm like, all right, do it with me. And we had a session. And as I'm going through it, these things start popping into my head. I'm like, but am I making this stuff up? Like, am I making it up? So it was very difficult for me to just accept. Like, he's like, okay, where are you? I'm like, well, I'm in this cave. And I'm like, okay, who's there? I'm like, Robin Williams. Just showed up. And he's like, okay, Robin's gonna guide you. Cool. And he brings them. And then I go to my council, and I'm sitting there, and I see this one person and this other. These. These. These entities there, these spirits are there. And I'm like. And then what do they say? I'm like, oh, this, this. And then I go to this one, and he's like, this guess like, sharp things all around him. He looks very intimidating. He goes, well, that's your. That's your war spirit guy. Like, he tells you to. How to deal with aggression and how to be proactive and all this stuff. And I go. And I go ask him if. If he's ever. And I asked him and I got this message. He goes, I would never disrespect my soul in that manner to come down to Earth. And I was like, oh. I was like, wow. But all this stuff, I'm like, did I make.

[Barbara Banner]

You didn't. You didn't. You didn't. And I tell clients that as well. I said, trust. If you think it's them, it's them. Because you have to be open to accepting it, just surrendering. And they're always around you. They're coming through when they can and how they can. And just accept it. You'll feel a lot better than worrying that, well, maybe it's my mind. Maybe, you know, I. I imagined it. Well, we all imagine everything in our minds, so that's where it comes through.

[Alex Ferrari]

So you just kind of have to just.

[Barbara Banner]

You have to. And it's a learning experience.

[Alex Ferrari]

You gotta let go.

[Barbara Banner]

Because whenever you. I also tell people, look, you want to know they're around. I want you to think of a sign or a symbol in your head, and it's the first thing that comes in. Don't just stop there, because when three seconds comes, your critical mind will take over and you'll say, oh, I can do better than that, or whatever. I said just the first thing, and ask your son to show it to you in the next three or four days. And they mostly always do and crazy things. I just got an email from somebody. I had a. I did the. I did the symbol, and it was a red elephant. And I'm walking through Goodwill, and I look over and there is a stuffed red elephant there. Now, I've never seen a red elephant anywhere, so. And she's just. It made her believe, and people need to believe. And so some of those little things that come up, like the cottage cheese or, you know, or outlander, make them understand that they're, they're really there. They may not be the same, but they're there. And you can talk to them and you can love them and you can reminisce and ask them to get in the car with you and sit shotgun like they used to. And, and one thing, I was going

[Alex Ferrari]

to ask you a question in regards to, like, messages from loved ones on the other side. How do they connect with you? And I find through a lot of experience of my own and speaking to everyone I've spoken to is that, you know, when people have lost somebody and they are desperate to connect with that lost one, I think we've all, especially of a certain age, can understand losing people. We've all lost somebody in one way, shape or form. And sometimes there is the red elephant, but sometimes they go, people go so far out that there was a leaf that fell from the tree and that was Bob talking to me. And I feel like saying, or it could have just been a tree and

a little wind came and it was ready to go anyway.

[Alex Ferrari]

So a lot of people, I find, look for signs when they're not there. The red elephant, the outlander, the cottage cheese. That's very, very different. But I'm talking, like, I think a lot of people might look into something and read into things that might not be there, and that's where it kind of gets a little muddy.

[Barbara Banner]

And I would feel the same way, too. There's got to be a sense of desperation to feel them, that the grief is so deep that they're.

Yeah. But there's a lot of. It's very. Well, this reality is extremely dense. So anything that we do is slow. Very slow. We're on the other side. To my understanding. It's instant.

Right?

You just think and it's.

You want a Ferrari? Okay, there is. Yeah.

And I want to put that Ferrari in a butterfly and fly around. Okay, cool. And it can happen. I always, I always love that movie where dreams may come because that was one of the things that they said when he was on the other, when Robin was on the other side. He's like, we haven't. There's enough space here for everyone to have their own heaven. And just think about that. Isn't that a beautiful line?

It's a great line.

And he goes, and anything you want, just think about it and it's there. And it was that, it was that instant. So that one of the, one of the things that they got really right in that movie. But it was just, it was. I just wanted to kind of bring that up because a lot of people do look for things that are not there when they're that desperate. And a lot of people listening to this might be in that space. So I think it's a great piece of advice that, like, if you're in that desperate energy, it's like when you're dating, when you're desperate, nobody wants to be near you.

[Barbara Banner]

Exactly. That's what I tell my daughter.

[Alex Ferrari]

That's why you. That's why you see the ugly dude in the corner picking up a bunch of, you know, beautiful women, because he's confident and he's just like, whatever, man.

[Barbara Banner]

Right?

[Alex Ferrari]

And that he doesn't have that destiny. Desperate, desperate energy. So, same thing goes with.

[Barbara Banner]

But I can't. It's nobody's fault. It's. It's how you feel is how you feel. I have to work on it. You have to work on it. I say spirit wants nothing more than for you to be happy and joyous again and have the best possible life. That's what they're most. When they first transition and they're back. That's a lot of people feel them when they're just gone because they just want to make sure you're okay. That's all they think about is, are you okay? Is my family okay? Are they going to be okay?

[Alex Ferrari]

Because they're fine.

[Barbara Banner]

They're fine.

[Alex Ferrari]

They're perfectly fine.

[Barbara Banner]

They're in the Ferrari. They're in a mansion. They're good. And they've got so many people around them that love them and support them and so many things to do. So it's. I actually haven't come across somebody who responded like that. Well, there was a leaf on the ground that was after a windstorm, but I knew that leaf was for me. I haven't gotten that. I have the opposite problem where people say, I haven't had any signs. There's no signs. And then spirit will show me a light switch going up and down. I said, you've had some dimming lights. Or she goes, yeah, but. And I said. She said they were all dimming. And then I called in an electrician to change all the wiring and everything. And then after he left, it was still happening. I said, don't spend money on electrician anybody. Okay? They're trying to communicate with you. They're trying to show you their around. So.

[Alex Ferrari]

And they. And how do they. Like, what are some examples of. That's. The light switch is a pretty. Like a pretty abrupt one, if you will, or intense one. But is it like the songs that come on the radio?

[Barbara Banner]

Yes, yes, yes.

[Alex Ferrari]

The show that pops on tv.

[Barbara Banner]

Yes. I say if you. I say you must be Hearing some music on the radio that your son liked or daughter liked. She goes, yes, yes. And I. And I think it is from them. I said, when you get home, print out the lyrics because there's a message for you in there, okay? And they have to do a little work, too. Cheryl has the gematria, which is amazing for her. It works great and it works great for a lot of people, but you have to really get into it and learn about it. If you like numbers, that might be for you. And there's. I just. They. They give me things. Oh, I get a. I get a bunch of this. I said, there's a little bird and he's going to come really close to you and he's going to stare you down and you're going to feel like there's. This is not normal. It's a bird and we're having a staring contest. And I said, that's him. Does that make any sense to you? She goes, that happened two days ago. I said, who blinked first? So things that are specific like that and they understand. And finding a coin. My friends lost their house in the Pacific Palisades fire. They had nothing. And I said to her, because I put the Hazmat suit on and I went with her daughter to dig and see what. I said, okay, you just found a coin, a silver coin, like a quarter? She said, yes. Yesterday I was cleaning the guest room and there was a quarter on the floor. And I don't know how it got there. I said, that's your mother letting you know she's around. And her picking the quarter, I later found out is that her daughter and son, as a gift grandmother would give them every year was a brand new quarter that just got minted. So it made three people, four people. Her husband too. So happy to know, because she was worried, are they going to follow me to the new house that I'm renting? I said, yeah, they're going with you. They don't care about the house.

[Alex Ferrari]

That's beautiful. That's beautiful. So with the work that you're doing, have you had a picture of what actually happens to a soul when they pass, like, the process?

[Barbara Banner]

I get different processes. Everybody. Some guys, you know, I say, well, he went. He shot up like a rocket. It was so fast for him. Okay. And then I always see the same thing, that the loved ones just envelop them in a cocoon of love. Love and hugging. And it's okay. And then I will get these beautiful, twisting, going around so softly, just floating up, up there. And yeah, And I get a lot of hands reaching down and usually that has another meaning. Like, he wouldn't let me. He would. He didn't want me to let go of his hand when he was in bed. At the last. At the end, he just. I had to hold his hand the whole time and he just was squeezing it. So there's spirit throws in little things that, as we say them, we don't know what the real meaning is. But I find in my readings that things come around full circle. They may drop a bomb, and then by the time that little puzzle piece goes right in.

[Alex Ferrari]

Do you see. Have you seen animals on the other side?

[Barbara Banner]

I see dogs and cats. I haven't seen any leopards or anything.

[Alex Ferrari]

Horses.

[Barbara Banner]

No. Well, the horses. A lot of people ride horses, so those come around. Yeah, I. So I see animals, but I'm not an animal communicator.

[Alex Ferrari]

Sure, sure.

[Barbara Banner]

So I can't tell you, you know, why Rover like to, you know, pee in that corner, but for the loved

[Alex Ferrari]

ones, because a lot of loved people,

[Barbara Banner]

they want their dogs. They want their dog. Their pets are there.

[Alex Ferrari]

Yeah, yeah, Their pets are there and they're.

[Barbara Banner]

I think I got a lizard, too. I said there's a lizard just. Just hanging around here. Yeah, that. He had reptiles.

[Alex Ferrari]

So have you. There's obviously one of the biggest fears many people have, especially those of the Catholic and Christian perspective, is this concept of hell. The hellish thing. We're all going to be damned, all this. You and I are obviously going to hell because we're heretics, obviously. So just having this conversation. But have you experienced from the other side, anything like that? Any chatter on the radio?

[Barbara Banner]

I have heard that people who do really bad things like Hitler or Jeffrey Dahmer kind of people that they all go up, but they sort of get sidelined to the side and get therapy and they're worked with. They don't let them into the general population.

[Alex Ferrari]

And that's where they try to get healed and understand so they get special treatment, but not in a good way. They're not giving them what do you want for your last meal?

[Alex Ferrari]

No, it's almost kind of like, from what I understand, a loving kind of process. So let me ask you from your experience as well, why do you think that souls do come down here and go off the rails? Because I think I do truly believe that everyone is all babies are born with love in their heart and they're good. And somewhere along the line, people kind of skew off, whether that be through nature, nurture, experiences, trauma, whatever it is, and they skew off to be and they start going down paths that they should have been going down. Why do you think a soul would choose to come down here and do kind of rough stuff, dramatic stuff to people?

[Barbara Banner]

That's a good question. I don't think that anybody's got murder in their soul contract mayhem. But we do have free will. And the trauma. I find so much trauma trickles down into the next generation. It really does. You can't escape it. So if you've got Somebody who's, you know, a mass murderer in your family's line. Not in my line. Yes, in your line. And there was, you know, you're the great grandson of Attila the Hun, that you may have some dark thoughts. Just like, if there's a suicide in your family, that sometimes it can. You know, it can be maybe two people. So I just feel that free will. They just may be deviants. I don't think these sign up to kill people.

[Alex Ferrari]

Right. It doesn't make sense.

[Barbara Banner]

No, it doesn't.

[Alex Ferrari]

But at least from our perspective, it doesn't.

[Barbara Banner]

But we're all susceptible to, you know, video games are making kids violent and. And things that we see and that are in the news. You know, it gives people ideas.

[Alex Ferrari]

It's interesting. It's a. It's an interesting philosophical question.

[Barbara Banner]

It is.

[Alex Ferrari]

You said soul contract. Can you explain to people what that is?

[Barbara Banner]

Well, before we come down, we. Number one, we pick our own parents and.

[Alex Ferrari]

Oh, that's a big one.

[Barbara Banner]

That is a big one. We do.

[Alex Ferrari]

I tell my kids all the time, like, you chose me.

[Barbara Banner]

Exactly.

[Alex Ferrari]

Not choose.

[Barbara Banner]

Yes. I'm like, no, chose him.

[Alex Ferrari]

You chose me and mom.

[Barbara Banner]

And that's right. They better get used to it.

[Alex Ferrari]

Exactly. And then when they argue with each other, I go, you guys chose each other.

[Barbara Banner]

Exactly.

[Alex Ferrari]

They're like, no, I'm not like, nope. Yep, you did.

[Barbara Banner]

And if you don't work it out in this life, you guys are coming back into another life, and one of you may be the parent. Okay. They swap things, and then you're really gonna wish you would have done better. On this side, we get to pick what we want to do or what we need to work on.

[Alex Ferrari]

Karmically, you mean?

[Barbara Banner]

Yeah. They say, don't say karma anymore, so I don't. I'm gonna say karma. What are they gonna do to me

[Alex Ferrari]

who says not to say karma anymore?

[Barbara Banner]

That was some of the chatter. I got that they're calling it something else.

[Alex Ferrari]

Who is in here or on the other side?

[Barbara Banner]

In the other side? Oh, no, no, no. Not on the other side. Here in the. You know, like some teacher or something.

[Alex Ferrari]

Oh, geez.

[Barbara Banner]

God sakes.

It's been around for 6,000, 10,000 years.

[Barbara Banner]

Okay, so working off karma, learning lessons. Learning learning lessons in this life on how to be charitable and think of others, because on the other side, it's all about service. So do yourself a favor, start volunteering and helping other people that are going to have a much smoother ride on the other side. And maybe you don't have to come back.

[Alex Ferrari]

Is it a fixed contract or is it a loosey goosey contract? Meaning, like, there's points of things, big, big brushstrokes that you need to hit, but how you get to those brush strokes are really up to you.

[Barbara Banner]

I don't know that answer. I have not been. All I know is what I've been told or what I read. Oh, we had a guest. I saw somebody that actually remembers his birth and trying out a soul contract like Spirit, saying, you really wanna be Evel Knievel.

[Alex Ferrari]

It's going to be painful.

[Barbara Banner]

Yeah. And then they let you experience what it's like to do that and you can change your mind and say, no, I don't want to jump over the Grand Canyon.

[Alex Ferrari]

So kind of like a simulation.

[Barbara Banner]

Yes, it's a simulation. So you have chance to understand if you think you can do it.

[Alex Ferrari]

Interesting.

[Barbara Banner]

You've probably had them on your show.

[Alex Ferrari]

I haven't heard that one before. That's a new one for me.

[Barbara Banner]

That was, for me. That was like, that was one of the people in Advancing Awareness.

[Alex Ferrari]

It makes, it makes, it makes sense. Because if, like, let's say, like, oh, I want to be rich and famous, like, are you sure you want to

[Barbara Banner]

be rich and famous?

[Alex Ferrari]

Like, it's. I mean, it sounds cool, but here, this is what it's really going to be like. And then you go, oh, maybe I don't want to do that this life. Maybe I'll wait a couple lives. I'm not ready for that yet. Let me just. Do, you know, be an accountant, right?

[Barbara Banner]

Have a, have a lovely family.

[Alex Ferrari]

You know, maybe I want to travel this, this lifetime. Maybe I want to have a lot of kids in this lifetime or something along those lines.

[Barbara Banner]

Well, you know, you can't always just pick from the fun side. You got to go to the work on whatever your problem is. If you never gave to somebody else or never worked in a soup kitchen or did something like that to better others, you're going to probably be doing a lot of that in this.

[Alex Ferrari]

Right? And that's when you can say, like, you know, I think I need to learn about empathy. So I'm going to be born into this family that's not empathetic at all. Got to learn because they're going to teach me these, these things. Like, you know, you go into hard situations.

[Barbara Banner]

Yes.

[Alex Ferrari]

Yeah. Because look, the idea is like, look, you could be born in the United States, you could be born in Somalia, you could be born in.

[Barbara Banner]

Right.

[Alex Ferrari]

And Russia and Siberia. Like, there's a thousand million different places and situations that this planet offers a soul. And economically socio, the society, religion, a thousand different options, millions of different options. So if you're coming in, in that situation, it was a choice to come in that life and as a man, as a woman.

[Barbara Banner]

Right. So the, the people who are sewage workers, you know, they're gonna get a. They're gonna get a lot of points for doing that, doing something, you know, so, yeah, there's it. They gotta look at the balance. Like, okay, if I do that for like, like 10 years, I don't have to work on whatever it is. So I think there's always a reason for everything. That's what I find now.

[Alex Ferrari]

So you were mentioning karma, which is. We can't say, but you're mentioning karma. One concept I've heard of recently that I find fascinating is ancestral karma. We kind of touched on that. This is stuff that, that your ancestors in your line. And by the way, choosing a line to come in on is also another choice of like, okay, this family line, this bloodline, if you will, has a lot of war in it, and I need to. I'm coming in to break that. Or a lot of abuse. Let's say, you know, uncle was a drunk and dad was a drunk, and so. And grandpa was a drunk and they kept. I'm gonna stop the cycle.

[Barbara Banner]

Yes.

[Alex Ferrari]

I'm coming in to break this cycle. Yes. And that's. So can you explain a little bit about ancestral karma and how we deal with it?

[Barbara Banner]

Well, how it affects us. Brian Weiss, his book One Life, Many Masters kind of thing.

[Alex Ferrari]

Of course. Yeah.

[Barbara Banner]

It says, like, just to show you that we are even now, I guess, working off karma, like, this woman had shoulder problems all her life. All her life, his patient. And through going through all the lives that she was. In the past centuries, she came upon like a soldier wearing the red, a British soldier. And he was stabbed in the shoulder. And everybody since then has had shoulder problems, but once she and Brian got to the meat of it and realized it was gone. So I have never been ancestrally healed, so I am not an expert, but things, as I said, they trickle down to the next generation. And if you can be the good guy and come down, the buck stops here. I'm not going to do this to my children. There's not going to be any abuse. You know, I may have to go through abuse to get to the point when I'm an adult to stop the abuse so they know what they're doing. But it's for the good. It's for the good, and they're gonna just take it.

[Alex Ferrari]

I had someone who was on the other day and it was such a powerful conversation because she was sex trafficked as a child by her family. And I asked her this very, very difficult question. I said, why do you think this happened? Why does good things happen to good people? Bad things happen to good people? Why do you think you went through this? She has such a very profound answer. She's like, I needed to go through this because now I'm helping millions to save others. And if I hadn't have gone through it, my light to help the world wouldn't have been here. And I was like, ooh, that's heavy. She's the one that came up with this thing. Yeah, she came up with that. She's the one that popularized that.

[Barbara Banner]

I just got chills all over me on that one.

[Alex Ferrari]

She's Wonder Gloria. She's wonderful. Such a brave, brave soul. And the biggest comment that she said, oh, God, I tore up. And now back to the show. And that really, that really I was like. Because when you think of that, you think of like Sound of Freedom, you think of the taken. You know, like some. You're taken somewhere and you're on an island somewhere. We've heard that. But the concept of what she was talking, like, no family members, all that kind of stuff. So not to go down that road too far, but. But the question I ask you is from your perspective, why does bad things happen to good people? Because a lot of people ask that question.

[Barbara Banner]

And I just say, because they signed up for it.

[Alex Ferrari]

And that's a tough pill to swallow.

[Barbara Banner]

It is. It is a very tough pill to. There was something that this was going to work off or help so many others that, that, you know, it's like, chose to come down, take it for the gang who can't. You're going to save others. And I also hear that on the other side, we all have jobs. And let's say the sex trafficker that passed, she will be helping other young girls or boys on the other side as they come so they can, you know, feel comfortable with somebody who understands them. That's what I understand.

[Alex Ferrari]

So you said people on the other side have jobs.

[Barbara Banner]

Yeah.

[Alex Ferrari]

Is there a union? No, I'm joking. What does that. I mean, because in my head, the construct that we have in our head is like, okay, they get up in the morning, they put on a shoot, they go get into traffic, they put on a toga. They put on a toga. Obviously, there's music everywhere, angels, cherubs around. What does that exactly mean? That everyone has a job. And what jobs are there in heaven or in the other side?

[Barbara Banner]

Okay, so on the other side, we are expected to be of service. That's what all of this is about for all of us is learning to be of service to others. And that's where Love comes in and that you have no. You don't judge people on the other side. You understand that everybody is here for the same thing, to just ascend and just be the best soul you can be. And that's why we do what we do. And I, you know, I knew the little boy was, Was riding on a butterfly. You know, it's like they show me. They're like, they guide them in, they, they get, get with them and they help them understand more than just like meeting with your grandfather might do on the other side, that they've been through this and, and it's going to be fine.

[Alex Ferrari]

Very, very cool. It's interesting.

[Barbara Banner]

Now, there's no guarantee on what I said that it's accurate, but it's accurate in my mind. Okay, I trust, I trust that you've seen it.

[Alex Ferrari]

You've seen it and at least that's

[Barbara Banner]

what's come to you. Oh, yes, absolutely.

[Alex Ferrari]

Now, I wanted to ask you about the times that we're in right now, which seems to be a bit rocky, to say the least.

[Barbara Banner]

To say the least.

[Alex Ferrari]

I mean, you come from la, literally living up in the hills.

[Barbara Banner]

Yeah.

[Alex Ferrari]

So you've. I mean, I'm from. I've lived in LA for many, many years. I knew a lot of people in those areas and all that stuff. I mean, 20, 25 is start off

[Barbara Banner]

with a. I thought it's supposed to get, get better. All the psychics, you know, all the predictors are saying 25 is gonna. Is gonna. Is the change is coming. The change is coming.

[Alex Ferrari]

Yeah. But change is not always pleasant. It's usually. I don't know about you, but anytime I've had major changes in my life, it hasn't been. Been smooth sailing.

[Barbara Banner]

Okay. You're right.

[Alex Ferrari]

It's generally always something challenging that takes you to another place. So I feel like humanity is being challenged in a very, very big way right now. I think probably since. I think 2012 was kind of like when it started and it seems to be speeding up. 2016, 2020 was. This decade has been the craziest decade of my life for far. So what have you seen what a spirit told you about humanity's consciousness? Where we're all kind of going.

[Barbara Banner]

We are all going, and I think we'll know that we got there. When people understand that slaughtering other human beings in war doesn't get you anything.

[Alex Ferrari]

Right.

[Barbara Banner]

That war is. There was a movie called War Games, of course. Okay. And that's what everybody should learn. You just keep killing everybody off and what happens, you know, everyone's gone, everyone's gone. That there's got to be a better

[Alex Ferrari]

way than what we're doing right now. Yes, well, it seems like on all fronts that there needs to be change. From economic to food to medical to education to religion to all. Every major parts of our lives, there seems to be a shift happening.

[Barbara Banner]

Right? But think how much better things would be in if everybody all of a sudden had awareness.

[Alex Ferrari]

Right? Everyone meditated.

[Barbara Banner]

Yes. If everyone meditated. Oh, I'm so sorry I ran over your cat. You know, no problem. We'll get another. You know, it's like everybody will just chill out. I do suffer from road rage sometimes, you know, I get really pissed off. But in general, everybody just needs to realize they're there for the same person, that the gardener has the same value as the tech mogul, that we're all doing the same thing. And by the grace of God, you are not digging that ditch, okay? And if you don't snap out of it and stop being so selfish, your next life, you could be so.

[Alex Ferrari]

Has. Has spirit told you anything that you've seen that you kind of got like, oh, that's what's coming?

[Barbara Banner]

No, I listen to cry on and myself, you know, and.

[Alex Ferrari]

But not much has come through spirit from you. At least you don't even ask.

[Barbara Banner]

You know what, it's interesting. They're very evasive when I do channeling. You know, it all sounds, like very general. Most of the time, they'll come out with some really things that don't belong there that are really cool. I was channeling somebody and it was a little grandma, and all of a sudden she said, yeah, and you can have the drumstick. And the guy who was a total skeptic when we got there, he said, that's. My grandmother used to save the drumstick for my grandfather. It's the only thing in the turkey that he wanted to eat during Thanksgiving. Okay, I get it now. Okay. So they give a lot of things that make sense. I want to say, instead of saying, make it like, a lot of times it's general, and a lot of times it really resonates. And I do not remember what I say when I'm doing that. I remember a few words maybe here or there. But I have to keep my mind out of the whole equation for it to be completely accurate.

[Alex Ferrari]

One thing I love to let people know, because a lot of people have this illusion about psychic mediums or channels or people that do this kind of work, that they're enlightened beings, that because they are gifted that they have been gifted with these powers, that they are enlightened, and that they're above what we have to deal with here as human beings. And I always. You just said I have road rage every once in a while. That's when it triggered. I was like, oh, yeah, Let everyone know. Can you explain to people like, that's. You're human beings. We're just humans, and you're doing your own thing. Some might be more enlightened than others, but just because you have the gift doesn't even mean you're moral. I mean, there's a lot of people who use the gift that are not. That are hurting people.

[Barbara Banner]

It takes a long time, and you have to feel the need to do it. I felt I have to do this. I'm supposed to be doing this. I'm supposed to take this class.

Yeah. And then a lot of people who've lost a child take a class or two, and they still can't do it. Because first of all, if they're starting when they're in deep grief, they're not going to. It's going to be really hard to assimilate all the things that you're going to learn. You have to want to do it.

Oh, gosh, I can only imagine.

I mean. Cause we're. I mean, this is a reality show for the universe. I mean, we are the reality show for the universe, I believe. But I imagine like, just like a parent with a child and you see them making a mistake. You're just like, oh, God. Oh.

But you know what I think I've heard, and this is probably from a human being. Let them make their mistakes to learn. Unless it's gonna hurt them if they want to go, mom, I'm too dressed up. I'm not putting a sweater on. It's gonna ruin the. Who let them go and come back, you know, blue. But if they're gonna say, mom, I'm gonna. I'm gonna, you know, take the car and do a Thelma and Louise with, you know, Susie, and we're gonna see how it feels, then you have to stop them. So pick Your battles with the teenagers, I'll tell you that.

Tell me about it.

[Barbara Banner]

Let them freeze. Let em freeze.

[Alex Ferrari]

I think that sometimes what you have to do, you just gotta let them. They have to feel the pain.

[Barbara Banner]

And you know, I've never heard anybody who got sick from not wearing a sweater. They may have been uncomfortable, but I don't know if it translates into definitely getting ill.

[Alex Ferrari]

I think, I don't think it gets you ill, but if you're already on the edge and your body takes.

[Barbara Banner]

Your resistance is down.

[Alex Ferrari]

Yeah, I think that's where it is. I don't think the actual cold gets you sick. It just brings your system down to place where the infection could get in. Yes. And I'm going to ask you a few questions. I ask all my guests. What is your definition of living a fulfilled life?

[Barbara Banner]

For me it's helping others heal. Is being a part of letting them see a little light, that there is going to be light because there is. And there's no right or wrong in grieving. It can take one person six months before they're dating again and it can take somebody 10 years and they still haven't moved forward. Now therapists say if you're still 10 years out from your spouse passing and you're still on the couch and haven't gotten your mail in 10 years, that's a problem. There's more going on here and you really should see some. So for me it's helping others. I've wanted to do it since I was a kid and that makes me feel good and I'm in a position where I can do that and I love that.

[Alex Ferrari]

If you had a chance to go back in time and speak to little Barbara, what advice would you give her?

[Barbara Banner]

I am very grateful for the life I've had and I don't see doing anything. I realize now looking back that things that I screwed up on turned out to be like the best thing that happened to me because I learned a lesson and I don't have to go through that again. I get some of my boyfriends have been unfortunate. Other than that lessons. They were all lessons.

[Alex Ferrari]

Yes, yes, yes, yes. We all have to kiss a few frogs.

Yes, we do.

How do you define God or source?

[Barbara Banner]

I do a little ritual when I start meditating and I wrestle with my spirit animals a little and get that love vibration. There's nothing like dog love and wrestling around with them. And then I climb up and I give God a hug and just let

him know, oh, that's nice. That.

[Barbara Banner]

What is love?

What is love? It is the highest vibration, the highest high.

It's different for from everybody and you got to find it. And James von Praack said, when you find your purpose in life, you stop aging. I'm 240 years old. Okay, fair enough. I'm going with what he said.
