And at the same time that Lightning Jim Whipple, United States Marshal, and his loyal deputy, Whitey Lawson, learned of the discovery of gold which has made of Jericho Gordon a convicted murderer and a strict convict. Miles out on the desert, two men, Jericho and Frenchie, ride across the shifting desert sands under the heat of the desert sun.
