Little Jimmy Dickens
You ever take your Saturday bath and try to wash and scrub while squatting down on your haunches in a galvanized Washington? If not, then you ain't missed a thing. But I'm telling you what's right. I done it till I was almost grown. Ever dogged on Saturday night. In summertime it was bad enough in winter it got rough A spreading peepers and a filling kittle and all that sort of stuff. But getting ready for that ordeal was only half the rub of taking a bath on Saturday night in a galvanized washing tub.
Ray Price
Mr. Jabo.
Little Jimmy Dickens
Did you ever stand there stripped to the skin with a wood stove making you hide a threaten to put your darn foot in for furious burn alive and finally you got the temperature right and into the tough you'd crawl and when that cold steel touched your back it squealed like a fresh duck hog. Get out of the tub and next to the stove and stand there dripping and shaking. The front of your body's a freezing to death while the backside you're a shiver and a shaking and a burning and a bacon. That's a price I had to pay. That awful ordeal will haunt me until I'm old and gray. Let's try it again.
I ain't through yet to something else that I've been wanting to say. I was the youngest of all the kids that bathed every Saturday and we all bathed the carton to age and I fell last in order which meant I had to wash myself in the sink and blame the water. Now I'm a man of clean habits. I believe in a bath a week. It helps to keep me healthy and it freshens my physique. But if I had my dregs I'd rather eat a bug then take that Saturday bath again in a galvanized Washington.
Grand Ole Opry Announcer
Thank you, Jimmy. Thank you just a whole lot. Well, sir, it's time to call on our pretty little girl that's always on the feed wagon with us. Sings an awful pretty song. Let's kindly make her welcome, folks. Here she is, Ms. Anita Carter.

I tried to forget you and never call your name.
What a shame.
What a shame. You're the one who was to blame? You're the one who proved untrue just when I needed you.
Said it's best we part and never love again.
And let rub my heart I won't complain.
You know I love you still and deray always with me. Although you proved untruth just when I needed you.
I cried, I cried, I prayed, I tried to forget you and never call your name.
What a shame.
What a shame. You're the one who was to bless me. You're the one who proved the truth just when I needed.
