Now the Cisco Kid and our exciting story Rodeo at Calico Corners in the early days of our west, the dusty crowd filled grounds of rodeos were to be found after the roundups in every town along the frontier. It was a time of challenge and sportsmanship of vets made and lost of curried horses and prime cattle. To most of the people it was a time of fun and festivity. But there were still those who pursued their evil ways and took advantage of a guard let down. Two such men are Brace Tabor and Cannon Roy are now planning to rob the bank of the town of Calico Corners. Hey, Brace, over this way. All right, Cannon. Be right with you. You're sure hard to recognize with them fancy clothes and that beard, Brace. Yeah. This is the smartest idea you ever had, Cannon. Robbing towns at rodeo time, it was easy to figure. Seems every place around these parts is a beard growing contest for the rodeo. Calico Cornis ain't no different than Pine Knot or any of the other towns we visited. We look just like the other hombres, only we don't go after no whisker prize. We don't have to. We always end up with first prize anyway. Money from the bank. Say, I hear the sheriff in Calico Cornice is always on the job. Well, you know why, don't you? He owns a bank. He got himself elected sheriff so as he could protect his own interests. That's plenty smart. Yeah. Reckon a rodeo's about the only thing that could budge him. What do you mean, Brace? Well, it seems Sheriff Gordon, besides owning the bank, owns a horse named Baby. And on rodeo day, Baby comes first. In that case, we'll let Sheriff Gordon take care of his baby and we'll take care of his bank. And if anybody happens to be around to get in our way, we'll take care of them, too. Oh, Lobo. Now there's the meat over there. Do you like to eat? Loco hold Loco stop and eat the weed. Bancho, we have been on the trail five hours and this is the fifth time you have stopped to let Loco eat. Loco hungry. Loco got to eat to keep going. And I have also noticed that every time we stop to let Loco eat, you eat a sandwich. And that isn't part of being the sandwiches. Well, all I know is, Chico, that by the time we get to Caraco Corners, you will not be able to eat any of the good food they always have at Rodeo's Pine to eat now, so he keep in practice so he eat more Rodeo. Right now, Pancho hardly wait till he gets to Calico Cones so he start really eating. Go, Loco. Conan, come on. Go, go, go. Loco. You do not have to wait much longer, Pancho. We'll soon be there, Bancho. Glad to hear this. Before we do any eating, we have to stop to see Sheriff Gordon. After all, he invited us to the roteo. Yeah, Pantino, but Panto bad the Sheriff Gordon got something else to do besides just have fun at the fiestas. Every time before when we see that sheriff, he got bandidos for Us to catch. Have you forgotten, Chico, that this time we are the ones after bandidos? Paja tries to Forget that Cisco McFarcho members. I am sure those bank robbers are following the rodeo circuit at this time. They will not escape us, fortunately. See how we tell the bank robbers and all the other hombres. Everybody all dressed up in their fancy pantalones and wear the beards, eh, Pancho? But Sheriff Gordon will be anxious to help us when he finds out his own bank is in danger of being robbed. The Sheriff Gordon not leave his horse Baby for nothing during the rodeo time. Then we must be doubly watchful to prevent that robbery. I am sure the bandidos we are after will not pass up Calico Corners. And this time we will get them. Well, what do you want this time, Oliver? Is it all right if Jed Lucas withdraws $200? What do you want to take it out of the bank for? Well, Jed said he figured on making a little money at the rodeo. Oliver, you go right back to the bank and tell Jed he shouldn't gamble with no more than $100 he can't afford. Sure, Sheriff, I'll tell him. And that's all you give him. And look here, Oliver, you figure on owning your own bank someday, you gotta use your own judgment. So don't keep running over here to the barn to bother me. You're right, Sheriff. I don't trigger on always being a bank teller. I'm gonna use my own judgment from now on. I sure wish you would. I'm having a hard enough time getting Baby combed and curried without you interrupting me every five minutes about banking business. Yes, sir. It's just what I'm gonna do. Use my own good. All right now, Baby, turn around. You're gonna be the prettiest horse at the ship. Well, Cisco and Poncho, am I glad to see you. What is this, Sheriff Gordon? What is this? Little Poncho, get down off your horses. You're just in time. I sure need some help for a certain place. Are you, Sheriff? Hey, Poncho, no. You know they're going to be troubled. You help me braid, Baby's mane and tails will be all pretty up for the main event. And then we're going over to the bank. Why we go to the bank? I done set up a burglar alarm over there and I want you to see. Well, that is very clever of you, Senor Sheriff. You must have heard of the bank robbers who've been following the rodeo season. Yes, I sure have. And I don't aim to let them catch Sheriff ESRI B. Gordon sleeping. I now see where your reputation as a clever hom comes from. We have been following those bandidos, but so far we have not been able to catch them. I figured you two'd be on the trail, but I wanted you to enjoy the festivity. And that's one of the reasons I set up this here little invention of mine. Aren't you like to see how the bugler bandido alarm works? Well, I'll show you just as soon as I get this. Hey, that's it. That's the alarm. The banks begin rob. Quick, come on. Through the alley. The bank's in the back of this car. They're right behind you, Sheriff. Have your gun ready. Take off. All right, you got a gun, Cisco? Shoot. Kill. Ain't nobody stealing no money from my bank while I'm sheriff. Careful now. Do not forget that alarm warns those banners at the same time it warns us. Yeah, you're right, Jisco. You have to sneak up onto them. You cover the back door, aren't you and I will go around to the front. If you capture the comments, shoot twice to let me know and I'll do the same thing. Hey, what Pancho tells you, Cisco, We've got to catch the bandidas for the shed of bull. I hope these are the coyotes we are after. I will try to shoot the gun from his hand. My finger. The coyote dropped the gun like the hot potato. Now, Pancho, let the sheriff know. All right. Obre. Put your hands up in the air. But I was fronto. Up with your hands. All right, anything you say here. In the name of the law, you're under arrest. I'm taking you to Oliver. What are you doing with your hands in the air? This is your bank robber, senor Sheriff. He was coming out of the bank with a gun in his hand. Oh, Oliver, ain't no bank robber says go. He's a bank teller. Who in tarnation was robbing the bank? Answer me, Oliver. Who was the buzzard that set off that alarm? Well, to tell the truth, sir, I did. You did? Well, of all the dad blame. What for? Well, Sheriff, I was just doing what you told me to do. Oliver, you're fired. Now, wait a minute, Sheriff Gordon. If this Senor Oliver has an explanation, I think you should listen to it. Well, I'll listen, but I know I'm gonna fire him. Well, what was it I told you to do? You told me to use my own judgment and I'd get to Own a bank? See, one must have good judgment to own a bank. What that got to do with the bandido alarm? I'm coming to that. Well, if I own a bank, I have to know how to protect it. So I figured I'd better find out how long it'd take me to get a gun and draw after I heard the alarm. That's just what I did. Well, I think that is very good thinking, Sheriff Gordon. The bank teller meant well. How long did it take you to get the gun and draw, Oliver? From the time of the alarm? Seven seconds. Seven seconds. All right, you ain't farred. But the next time you go practicing, let me know beforehand. Thank you, sheriff. Sure will. Now, I better go and get that alarm set again. Yeah, you better head, because the Rodeo starts in 15 minutes. And I don't aim to have nobody robbing that safe while I'm showing, baby. Couldn't be better. Brace Street's deserted. Yeah, Cannon, everybody's over at the fairground. First we better check on that sheriff. Let's not waste time. Let's unload that bank and get going. But if that sheriff's as smart as we heard, he might just be waiting for someone to stick up his back. Yeah, he might be. Well, we ride over to where the hooping and hollering is going on and see if we can spot him. That's a proper way to rob a bank. I first make sure the sheriff's busy somewhere else. Look at that crowd. You'd think they'd never seen a horse. Oh, I ain't looking at the crowd, Brace. I'm looking for the sheriff. Hey, ain't that him? Which one? The one wearing the badge. Standing between that big ombre and Black and the little fat one. Cannon, we gotta get out of here fast. What's the matter with you, Brace? That big ombre and Black is a Cisco Kid. Well, the Cisco Kid's here and the bank's over in town. And I leave until I stop by the bank. I ain't scared of the sheriff. But Cisco's another story. Everybody's over here. How are they gonna know we're robbing the bank? Yeah, you're right. They wouldn't have no way of knowing. Now, one of them stand guard while the other does the job. And if they do have to come back, we'll gun them down before they get a chance to fire a shot. Let's. Well, Poncho, seems to me you have made the rounds of every food stand here to rodeo. For once in your life, you must have had enough to eat that time around, Pancho. Only sample of foods now. Pancho go to the places he likes the best. You sure are a good Peter, Pancho. Just like baby hair. He eats good and he shows it. He's gonna take first prize again this year. She sure she's a fine mare. Well, I'll just press her up a little here. But Poncho, give me a hand. I think he might go to the stand where they got the booze. Is very ply, Pancho. And I'll be glad to help you. Curry, baby. Sheriff. Thanks, Isco. Say, say, have you seen Oliver around lately? Well, a few minutes ago I noticed him looking over the cabs to be roped. Well, I don't want to let him out of my sight. I know what you mean, Sheriff Gordon. We better make sure Oliver does not practice with the burglar alarm again. I like Oliver a lot, Cisco, but sometimes he just ain't too bright. There, baby. Now you look just like a picture. The Avalon logo. Thinks baby look like a picture too? Yes, I do. What that silver band and the bridal. Say you, Sheriff. Oh, that baby's name plate. Had it made special for the headstall of the bridal. Oh, that beautiful. Maybe the Bandito Bell. Where's Oliver? I do not see him at the cockpit, Sheriff. You look for Oliver. Poncho and I will go back to the bank. Come, Poncho. Oliver. Maybe the force and I'm perhaps Poncho. But if it is those bank robbers, they too have been warned. And they'll be ready to gun us down. That alarm scared our horses off, Cannon. What'll we do? Only one thing we can do, Brace. Walk over to the rodeo grounds and mingle with the crowd. I ain't aiming to tangle with that Cisco kid. How's he gonna recognize us? We don't look no different than any of the hombre over there. Yeah, you're right. We'd better get out of this bank pronto. Get back, Brace. What's the matter? Cisco and his partner coming down the street. I'm gonna fill them with LI Cisco don't know about what we got on our horses and rode off. When him and that partner has walked through the door, they won't figure we're here. No, they won't. We can gun them down right. And just so they won't suspect nothing till they get clear inside. Hide behind his desk. Yeah, while he's walking in from the door, take a long, careful aim. You bet I will. It'll be the last time. Cisco goes through a door alive. And each step Cisco and Poncho take brings them closer to certain deaths. In just a moment, we'll return to the Cisco Kid.
