Send us Fan MailIn this powerful episode, we explore the biblical theology of Christian egalitarianism with Marg, a thoughtful theologian and teacher committed to helping believers flourish in Christ.Marg shares her conviction that while men and women have fundamental biological differences, they share far more in common and are essentially equal before God. She believes women and men should have equal access to opportunities and services that support human flourishing, and that roles, responsibilities, and functions in the home, church, and wider society are best shared according to a person’s God-given gifts, abilities, talents, and temperament rather than gender.Marg holds a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) from the Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) and a Master of Arts (MA) from Macquarie University, specializing in early Christian and Jewish studies. Her award-winning thesis focused on deacons and Phoebe of Cenchrea, offering fresh insight into women’s leadership in the early church. Much of her time is spent studying, writing, and engaging with people online who reach out through her work. Her personal vision is rooted in Romans 8:29: “to be conformed to the image of Christ.” While she acknowledges this will not be fully realized in this lifetime, she holds fast to the promise of 1 John 3:2. Her mission is twofold:to draw as close to God as possible, be continually filled with the Holy Spirit, and encourage others to do the same, andto live as a Kingdom agent wherever she is.Marg’s heart is to see Jesus-followers thrive in the new life Christ offers. Listeners are invited to explore her articles and Bible study notes on Philippians and 1 Peter, and to connect with her for speaking engagements through her website or social media platforms, on Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, Twitter, and Linktree.Beyond The BeaconJoin Bishop Kevin Sweeney for inspired interviews with Catholics living out our faith!Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the showFollow along at Instagram @restoringministriesok or Facebook @restoringministriesok.
