How do you cook the perfect baked potato? What's a good midweek dinner party menu? And what do you cook for tea when you're married to TV food critic Giles Coren? Our guest Esther Walker answers all these questions and more. Listen now or subscribe via iTunes. We talk about Esther's fab books, Bad Mother and Bad Cook, and her blog, Recipe Rifle. There's some chat about who would win in a fight between Nigella and Jamie, and one of the Scummy Mummies reveals she has actually cooked a Yotam Ottolenghi recipe. It's another highbrow episode as we have our first ever live fart on the podcast, and Esther reveals something about her husband that will make you feel physically ill. Do check out Recipe Rifle for more from Esther and follow her on Twitter - @estherwalker. We're on Twitter too (@scummymummies) and Facebook. Please send your confessions to scummymummiespodcast@gmail.com and visit us at ScummyMummies.com. If you like the podcast, please tell your friends! If you want to see us live, we're appearing at the Ivy House, Nunhead on Thursday 7 May. It's an Election Cabaret Night so instead of the usual t*t jokes, you can expect cutting-edge political satire! I.e. Lots of jokes about Nigel Farage being a t*t. Early bird price is £8.50 so get your tickets now from We Got Tickets. Thank you for listening!

This episode features Helen Neale, the woman behind the popular blog and free reward charts website Kiddycharts.com. She offers some advice on how to create your own hit blog and get the most traffic. She also gives us some tips on potty training and shares the biggest thing she's learned from her own parenting mistakes. Ellie and the Helens discuss their favourite blogs and play a nonsensical new game, Blog or Dog? Then it's time to round things off with some Scummy Mummy Confessions. For more from Helen, read her blog or download and order reward charts via the Kiddycharts.com store. Helen's always giving away free stuff too, so be sure to check out her competitions page. She's on twitter - @Kiddycharts. And if you're a fan, do vote for her in the Brilliance in Blogging Awards. We're on Twitter too (@scummymummies) and Facebook. This episode features Stuart Goldsmith - host of hit podcast The Comedian's Comedian, CBBC star and former Loose Women warm-up man. He tells us about all these things and more, including whether he prefers picnic or monster sex. (Probably another adults only episode, this one.) There's some chat about performing comedy for kids and Stuart reveals the best heckle he's ever heard. We talk about godparents - what makes a good one, what should their role be and what should they be called if you're not religious? Then we round things off with a special edition of Scummy Mummy Confessions. Stuart's podcast is available for free via iTunes, Soundcloud or ComediansComedian.com. There are loads of fab episodes but our favourite is the Sarah Millican one and it's a great place to start. You can find out more about the kids' stand-up gigs Stuart mentions via ComedyClub4Kids.co.uk. There's more info about the man himself at StuartGoldsmith.co.uk, and he's on Twitter - @stugoldsmith and @comcompod. We're on Twitter too (@scummymummies) and Facebook. **ADULTS ONLY!** What's the number one thing new mums should know? How do you write a best-selling book? Who is more sweary, Annabel Karmel or Cheryl Fernandez-Versini? This episode reveals answers to all these questions and much, much more. Our guest is the fabulous Bryony Gordon, Telegraph columnist and author of The Wrong Knickers - A Decade of Chaos. We cover some pretty grown-up subjects, from illegal highs and racy underwear to who is fitter out of Bloom or Tumble, so it's not one to listen to with the kids around. Bryony's brilliant book is out now. You can find her One Fat Mother channel over on YouTube and follow her on Twitter - @bryony_gordon. We're on Twitter too (@scummymummies) and Facebook. This episode is being released to mark LGBT Adoption and Fostering Week, which runs from 2 - 8 March. We're joined on the podcast by Carolyn Robertson, who tells us about life with wife Vicky and sons Biff and Buster. Plus we hear about her new book, Two Dads, and her blog, Sparkly Poo. Helen gives us an update on her sex life and provides some musical "entertainment" with the help of her roll-out piano. There's a new game, a new catchphrase and some chat about Jenni Murray's puppies. For more about LGBT Adoption week and the support group behind it, visit NewFamilySocial.org.uk. You can follow Carolyn on Twitter - @CarolynAdopt. We're on Twitter too (@scummymummies) and Facebook. Please send your confessions to scummymummiespodcast@gmail.com. Thank you for listening!

Our guest for this episode is actor and writer Jessica Pidsley, who tells us about her experience of post-partum psychosis. We discuss how she came through it, what warning signs to look for, and why you should never watch Deal or No Deal if you're psychotic. Jessica chats about her blog, Mutha Courage, and what it's like to perform a one-woman show with a baby strapped to you. Plus there's some talk about hypnobirthing, and Helen attempts a Scottish accent. Sorry, Scotland. Special thanks to the lovely Albert for providing some authentic ambience for this episode. Jessica is on Twitter (@muthacourage) and you can find out more about her down-to-earth hypnobirths via muthacouragehypnobirthing.com. More information about postpartum psychosis is available via the NHS and NCT websites, and the Action Postpartum Psychosis network. The number for the NCT helpline is 0300 330 0700. Do send any Confessions, feedback and angry letters about Scottish accents to scummymummiespodcast@gmail.com. We're also on Facebook and Twitter (@scummymummies.) Thanks for listening!

Which cool films are coming out in 2015? What is the right age to take kids to the cinema? How does a middle-aged dad from Manchester end up in a hotel room with Tom Hanks? Film critic Dan Whitehead answers all these questions and more in our Movie Special. Plus we chat about his new app, Stikkums - a virtual reward chart for kids. Ellie introduces a brand new segment, We're All Going to Die, while Helen excels herself with some marvellous new theme tunes. Stikkums is free to download via iTunes and you can find out more about it on Facebook. We're on Facebook too, and Twitter (@scummymummies), or email scummymummiespodcast@gmail.com. If you like the podcast, we'd love it if you could tell your friends or maybe even leave us a nice iTunes review. Thanks for listening!

**ADULTS ONLY!** This episode features swears! Including the worst one! How is childbirth different the second time around? What's the best way to introduce your older child to the new baby? Why would anyone knit stuff out of a placenta? We answer all these questions and more as we're joined by Clemmie Hooper, midwife, mum and blogger. She gives us some great tips for labour and beyond and manages to be very non-judgemental about the placenta knitting thing. Unlike Ellie, of course, who is nearly physically sick. Meanwhile, Helen presents her brand new game - Hooray for Fannywood. It's as sophisticated and highbrow as it sounds. Two things to note: 1. This episode is RUDE, with lots of unbleeped swears. Including the c-word. So maybe don't listen to it in the car on the school run... 2. This episode was recorded before Ellie gave birth to her lovely new baby, Joe. As you'll know if you listened to the last podcast, he was two months early. He is doing great and will hopefully be home soon! Clemmie's blog is called Gas and Air - do check out Helen's birth story. She is on Twitter too, @midwifeyhooper. We're @scummymummies and you can find us on Facebook. You can email scummymummiespodcast@gmail.com or leave a message via scummymummies.com. We love receiving iTunes reviews! If you like the podcast, please tell your friends. Thank you so much for listening!

In this episode, Ellie discusses the surprise early arrival of her new baby, Joe. He's still in hospital but doing great. (And even better since this show was recorded - we're expecting him home within a few weeks.) Then there's some chat about the highlights of our Scummy year, including best and worst gigs. We round off with some Confessions, and get just a little bit emotional. Thank you so much to everyone who's listened to the podcast and been to our shows this year. The plan is to keep going in 2015, so please keep downloading, sharing, tweeting and leaving us iTunes reviews. Thank you! We are so grateful for your support and we'd love to hear from you. If you have a scummy story you'd like to share, a topic you'd like us to cover, a guest you think we should feature or just some general feedback, please let us know! We're on Twitter - @scummymummies and on Facebook. You can email scummymummiespodcast@gmail.com or leave a message via scummymummies.com. Lots of love to all our dear listeners. We hope you have a fantastic 2015! X

Merry Christmas! It's the Scummy Mummies Podcast, with bells on (LITERALLY, thanks to amazing technical wizard Rob Sedgebeer, who made the theme tune all festive for us. Thanks Rob!) This episode was recorded two days before Ellie went into early labour, which is why she still talks about being pregnant in it! Her little boy, Joe, is doing great. Expect a new baby special next year. We're joined by podcast favourites Nurse Jessie and Steve Hill, the latter being having been dragged away from a Christmas lunch. As such there's even more swearing in this episode and we couldn't be bothered to bleep it, so this isn't one to listen to with the kids around... We talk Christmas presents, ham, round robins and farting. Plus, Steve tells us his Joe Mangle story, and Helen has an interesting suggestion for what to do with a family tub of yoghurt. We also test mince pies and play a festive game. We're on Twitter - @scummymummies - and on the Facebook. Do email your confessions to scummymummiespodcast@gmail.com, and visit scummymummies.com to find previous episodes. Thank you so much for listening to the podcast. It's been a fantastic year and we've had a blast, and we're so grateful to everyone who's downloaded, shared it with their friends, left us nice iTunes reviews and sent us lovely emails. And indeed scummy ones. Podcast service will resume as normal in January and we're planning on more stage shows later in the year. Have a wonderful scummy Christmas!
