All right, we're going to jump right into today's episode all about why one form of long form content is not enough anymore. So, fun fact, I used to air quotes preach that you just needed to abandon social media and move all of your marketing to a blog. And while I definitely think that is still way more better than doing all of your marketing on social media in today's market, in today's marketing environment, I actually don't think that one form of long form content is enough anymore. It used to be enough. It used to be enough to have just a podcast or just a YouTube channel or just a blog and then repurpose it for social media if you wanted to, but still do email marketing. It really did used to be enough to just have one form of long form content. But the reality is marketing changes, right? Like our world changes, how people buy changes. And I think to just say that, to do the same thing forever and ever and ever, Amen. And never change is because that's what you've always said like y', all, that's ignorance. So just kind of dumb, right? And a little bit lazy. So we're not going to do that. But truly, I believe one form of long form content is just not enough anymore. Okay, now this is not to say that you should freak out, right? This is not hit a freak out button moment. You know me, you know I've got solutions. You know I'm going to help you navigate it. And you know that it ain't going to take three times as long because mom ain't got time for that. But first I want to talk to you about some reasons why, why one form of long form content isn't enough anymore. And then I'm going to walk you through the solution. Okay? So reason number one, why you need more than one form of long form content is we as humans, we're just using different platforms differently. If you think about how you look up information, how you search for information and how you consume information, I bet that you use different platforms differently. Okay? In my own life, this is what, how I do my life. Just so you have some examples here. I use my, my phone or my computer to look up stuff that I have to like, seriously sit down and learn or something that I need to skim. We personally, in my house, use a lot of YouTube for entertainment and podcasts are playing in the background while I'm doing other things. Okay? And here's some stats for you. Search is still a default behavior, okay? 81.5% of online adults use search engines monthly now. YouTube is definitely a genuine source of entertainment for people now. In fact, Nielsen reports that YouTube captured 13.4% of total TV viewing in August. And to that point about YouTube, like, just think about how your tech and your research has evolved, okay? And think about how you use podcasts. Okay? I know some people that have podcasts playing in the background constantly. Constantly. I'd send research reports that podcasts reach are now at a record high. 55% of Americans 12 and over consumed a podcast in the last month. 40% in the last week. Which is awesome, right? Obviously, I'm a fan of podcasting, but reason number one, why you need more than one form of long form content is this. We just use different platforms differently, okay? We just do. It's how we're learning. It's how we're consuming information as a society, okay? Reason number two, why you need more than one form of long form content is that different people learn things differently and they learn different things differently. So, you know, forever and ever. I feel like we've talked about the different styles of learning. Auditory or visual or kinesthetic, we've talked about that. But when you think about how you, or how people, you know, learn different things differently, I think we have even more variety there, right? Like if I, if I need to learn a recipe, I want to read that dang recipe and then do the recipe. But if I need to learn about how to use ground poles with my horse, I want to see a video for that. And so think about how you learn different types of information in your life, okay? You're going to sit and listen to something like, I'll sit and listen to preaching podcasts, but I need to watch a YouTube video about how to do something. Okay, But I want to read information to process it differently. Like different people learn things differently and they learn different things differently. There's a lot of difference in that. Reason number three, we still reach for Google to learn and make purchases. Google itself states that it sees more than 5 trillion with a T searches annually as of March of 2025, which breaks down to roughly 13.7 billion with a B searches per day. And that data is trending up year after year after year. So if you have heard people say the search is dead, that Google is dead, the blocking is dead, I'd be like, put your money where your mouth is, yo. Because the data says differently. And reason number four, this is a big one. Why you need long, more than one form of long form content is algorithms change. Algorithms do change. How search engines in different platforms show things, how different platforms are structured, it changes. Now the changes on podcasts and YouTube and blogs, they truly aren't as drastic as social media algorithm changes. When this is a caveat here. When you are using the platform how it's meant to be used. Now if you're trying to cheat Google, then sorry about you, you're out of luck. When they fix things, you're out of luck. But if you're trying, if you're, if you're doing it correctly, you're not going to see the big swings on Google like you do on social media. However, a few years ago there were some changes in podcast and how Apple did some things with podcasting and there are so many people that their lives were just ruined for a hot minute because they didn't have any other form of long form content. And so when you have long form content that is going to show up in front of people in multiple places where they looking, where they are looking to learn and not just for entertainment, then you're not putting all of your eggs in one basket. Okay? And number five reason is showing up in more than one long form platform consistently and doing it well builds brand credibility. Meet your people where they are and build a level of professionalism and professional credibility. Okay, y', all, we need to be on more than one form, more than one long form platform for the like, I would say 85 to 90% of business owners need to be on more than one long form platform. And the long form platforms are blogging, podcast and YouTube. Okay. And the reasons why are we're using different platforms differently, different People learn differently and they learn different things differently. Number three, we still reach for Google to learn and make purchases. Number four, algorithms change. And number five, showing up in more than one long form platform consistently and doing it well. Build your business. So what are we gonna do to fix this? What are we gonna do? Well, what you're gonna do, friends, is you're gonna take your long form content audio transcript and you're going to repurpose it to a blog. Very strategically. Now, what does that mean? Well, a lot of things. You could just do it yourself and take that transcript, compare it to your outline and revamp it and turn it into a blog. You could do that. We did that for years and years. Or you could use AI to help you. You could build out your own custom GPT. You could, you could very well do that. Or, or, or, or y', all, I created a product. I've had it in the works for months and months and months and been testing and refining and fixing and all the things. I've created a product called Audio to SEO Custom GPT and what it does is it takes your audio transcript and turns it into an SEO friendly blog that is ready to upload in a few clicks of a button and about maybe 10 minutes of extra work. What you're going to do is you're going to get this, this custom GPT link, you're going to just plug it into your chat GPT, you're going to take that, you're going to upload your transcript and you're going to answer a few key questions about your keyword that you want to rank for your audience. The goal of this piece of content, soft CTAs, hard CTA voice. And you're going to take that and you're going to say, all right, Chatty, and you're going to answer these questions and Chatty is going to spit out a blog for you. Now, your blog going to be perfect. No, because Chatty's dumb compared to you. Okay, you're brilliant. Chatty's dumb. But your Chatty's going to give you a first draft and then you're going to do a little bit of pushback and you're going to say, hey, Chatty, fix this and this and this. You're going to do that about, I don't know, two, sometimes three times. And after about 10 minutes, you're going to have a, an upload ready block from the content that you have already created in your podcast or YouTube. And if you purchase between Friday, February 27th and March 6th, and use the code BIRTHDAY38. You're gonna save 38% off of the audio to SEO Custom GPT so that you can take your audio transcript from the podcast or blog you're already or podcast or YouTube that you're already creating and you can turn that into an SEO friendly blog so that you can start showing up on Google as well as your other place of long form content.
