And today I'm going to talk all about scripture and prayer for your business to start off the new year. Because guess what? God cares deeply about your business because it involves you, it involves reaching other people, and it involves the great commission of reaching people for the kingdom of God. And so I, I am going to share with you five scriptures to pray and dive deep into and stand on for your business this year. Bust out that notebook, the notes app, whatever you use to take notes, because you're going to want to write these down. All right, let's jump on in. Hey there fellow entrepreneur. Welcome to simple SEO and marketing. Do you want to grow your business with sustainable traffic sources? Have you heard about the power of search engine optimization? And you want to take advantage of it to get more traffic, more eyeballs on your business. But when it comes down to it, does SEO feel complicated and hard to implement? Are you tired of wondering what in the heck to do with your website to get more traffic and more leads knocking on your door? What if I could tell you that there was a simple, proven system for using SEO, blogging and copywriting to get leads from your website and not just any leads. Hi, Converting lead. Hey. I'm Faith Hannon, wife, mama, copywriter, SEO strategist and barrel racer. And for the last eight years I've been figuring out what works and what doesn't work in the world of online marketing to get organic traffic. And now I'm here to share all the things I'm learning in the trenches of SEO, copywriting and content marketing. How does 300%, 500% or even 12,000% market more traffic in a year sound? What could your business do with that kind of traffic increase? How many more people could you help? So listen in and prepare to take note. I'm about to drop simple, actionable SEO, marketing and copywriting tips, all with a heavy dose of Jesus loving encouragement. Let's get you more traffic and more leads so you can help more people with your God given gifts. So as I was restarting my Bible reading plan, the first of the year, we like to read through Bibles every year, if not every two years in in my family. But as I was restarting and I'm reading in Genesis where God gave Adam work to do inside of the garden right long before he sinned. And I was sitting there reading it with my little girl and I pointed that out to her, because sometimes. Hi. She's seven, human. She's like, oh, I don't want to do work. I don't want to do this. I just want to play or draw or read or whatever. And I'm like, baby, work is good. And so it was really fun to be able to sit there with her and point that out in scripture, like, hey, baby, God gave Adam work to do to cultivate the ground in the Garden of Eden before sin. So work and having something to set your hand to is not a result of the fall. And I think sometimes in today's world, we forget that because a lot of times our work feels really burdensome. But I want to help shift that narrative, at least in, you know, in your heart and my heart today, because I truly believe that God cares deeply about our work. And whether your work is running your business, working for somebody else, being a teacher or a banker or a doctor or a lawyer or a stay at home mom or a work at home mom, whatever your work is, God cares about it. One, because he cares about you, right? And two, because he cares about reaching people through what he has gifted you to do. And I think for way too long, there has been a big separation between work or business and our faith. And I am here to annihilate that separation, even in case you didn't notice. Okay? But God cares about your business. God cares about your work because they are tools that God uses to reach people for his kingdom and to bless them. Because God's heart has always been and will always be for people. Okay, so let's dig into five scriptures for you to partner with God on and pray over for your business in 2025. Okay? All right. Scripture number one I want to talk about is John, chapter 10, verse 27. And I really like the way that this says that. The amplified translations brings this out. It says the sheep, and this is Jesus talking words in red. It says, the sheep that are my own hear my voice and listen to me. I know them and they follow me. And I think that there's this kind of misnomer in Christian circles and the church that God doesn't still talk to his people today. And that is incredibly false. That is a lie from the pit of hell. God longs to speak to you even more than you desire to hear him. God wants communion with you. God wants intimacy with you. God wants a relationship with you. And you can't have a relationship with somebody that you never have conversation with. All right? In Genesis, God walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day, it was an everyday part of their routine to speak with God and talk to God and commune with him. And I truly, truly believe that when we make that shift from oh, my goodness, God doesn't want to talk to me, to realizing that you are. If you are his sheep, you are designed to hear his voice. Voice, okay? And knowing that God wants to talk to you is game changer. Daily communication with God was the norm for which we were made. I'm going to say that again. Daily communication with God was the norm for which we were made. And if you read through Scripture, you will see all kinds of communication between God's people and God. We see the big holy, thus saith the Lord. Prophetic messages, you know, like Isaiah and Jeremiah and these just huge long books of God giving instruction and correction, right? And we see, you know, God giving really detailed instructions for the building of the temple and the tabernacle, right? We see these what feel like big holy, too cool for school, too cool for us moments. And those are the ones that we tend to relic think, oh, that's how God speaks. But we also see. We also see David essentially asking God, hey, how should I kill these bad guys? And God answering. And we also see Jonah whining about a plant dying and God answering him, guys, God wants to speak to you even more than you want to hear from him. And daily communication with God was the norm for which we were made. And just a little side note here, the voice of the Lord and the counsel of the Holy Spirit will always align with Scripture. Okay? So if you feel like you hear something from the Lord, verify that in Scripture. It's not going to go against the counsel of the word of God. All right? Okay. And with that in mind, I want to talk about the second scripture that I want you to stand on and believe on and pray over your business this year. And that is Romans 11:36, which says, for from him and through him, and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever and ever. And the version that I memorized in my heart via a song as a kid said, from him, glory for him and to him. And maybe you've never sat down and said, lord, this business is for you. This is a good time to do that. Okay? Because you are getting to use the gifts and talents from God to be used for him and to be given back to him. Maybe it's been a little while or ever since you sat down and just really gave your business over to the Lord, but now is a good time to do it. Okay? Because this business that you are trying to grow, trying to streamline, trying to make better or even just maintain, this is from him, for him and to him. And when you take that posture of open hand, offering this business and offering your gifts, gifts up to the Lord and say, lord, this is for you. Everything I have is from you and for you and to you. Lead me and guide me in it. Gosh, guys, I've got to think. That blesses the heart of God so much, and it positions you better to hear from the Lord regarding your business and everything else. And the next scripture that I really want you to lean into and pray over your business this year is James, chapter one, verses five and six, where it says, if you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking, but when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver. For a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. You guys, I think sometimes we have this, you know, this idea that God doesn't want to help us, that he's too busy for us, and that is 100% a lie from the pit of hell. God wants to give us wisdom to do the work that he has for us to do. So if you need wisdom, ask. Guys, I pray for wisdom every single day, and I have for literally decades, okay? Because I had a really, really awesome mama who taught me to pray, right? And so ask for wisdom and then expect that you're gonna get it. It might feel like a little bit of a bold claim, but I call myself wise. I say that I'm wise. Why? Because I've prayed for wisdom. I've asked God for wisdom, and I believe that he gives it to me. All right? If you're going to ask God for wisdom, then you better be walking like you have it. Okay? Lean into God. Ask him for wisdom, but don't waver. Believe his word where it says he will give you wisdom. All right? And the fourth scripture that I want you to pray over your business as you step into 2025 is this. And it's one of my faves. One of my faves. Ephesians, chapter 1, verses 15, 21. And this is Paul talking to the church at Ephesus. And he is saying to them, he says, ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts would be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope that he has given to those he called his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. And then he goes on to say, I also pray that you would understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe in Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now, now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else, not only in this world, but in the world to come. Guys, I want to encourage you to lean in and pray for a spirit of wisdom and revelation that you would understand the greatness of God's power for us who believe him. Because that same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you as a, as a child of God, as a follower of Jesus. That same spirit lives in you and the scripture says it quickens our mortal body. So you better believe that that same spirit of Christ who lives in you is going to help you in your business, is going to help you in your parenting Holy Spirit. It wants to help you in driving down the road and not screaming your head off at the driver. Next year, whatever it is you need help with, I want you to lean in and ask God for a spirit of wisdom and revelation that you would know the hope to which he has called you. Because God wants to download wisdom, revelation, insight and divine strategies from heaven to you, to get out there through you. Okay? So don't hold back. Don't hold back on praying these bold prayers that might feel a little dangerous to the parts of us that want to play small. But God wants us to play big and use the gifts that he has for us. Okay, real quick. Before I give you the fifth scripture that I want you to pray for your business this year, I would love for you to join me for a five day prayer challenge. No matter when you're Listening to this because there is never a wrong time to pray for your business, to pray for yourself, and to submit everything we have and everything we are to the King of Kings. All right, the fifth scripture. You ready? Is Daniel, chapter one, verse 20. Okay. And this is kind of the famous passage in Daniel that everybody likes to talk about at the beginning of the year with the Daniel fast because the, the Hebrew children were, you know, supposed to eat the same things that everybody else ate because they were being trained to lead the kingdom. But Daniel and the other Hebrew children said, we're not supposed to eat that, so please help us to not defile ourselves. And they found favor with the guy in charge of them, and so they only ate things that they were allowed to eat. And then at the end of that chapter, the king consulted them. It says in verse 20, whenever the king consulted them in any matter requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, he found them 10 times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom. And guys, that is because they had set themselves apart for the work of the Lord. They had set themselves apart and said, we are not going to defile ourselves with any, anything of this world because we're here to serve God, no matter what that looks like. And I really believe that God wants to position Christian business owners, leaders, teachers, wherever you are in life, serving in, in the marketplace. I really believe that God wants to position his followers to be 10 times more capable than people who don't know him and people who don't lean on him because he wants there to be a distinction between the children of God and the world. And so as you're praying for your business and over your business, I want you to believe God to be bold and believe God to help you be ten times wiser because of his Holy Spirit working in you and through you. So with that, of course I'm going to pray to close this out today, y'all. Alright. Well, Father, we just come to you right now. And Father, what an awesome privilege it is. Father, first of all, to come into your presence, to be able to be able to meet with you, to be able to pray. Lord, thank you, Lord, thank you for the blood of Jesus that makes it possible for us to come into your presence. Lord, right now we just submit ourselves everything that we have, everything that we are to you, Lord. We submit our businesses to you, Father. You are Lord of Lord and King of Kings. Everything we have is yours. And Lord, I ask boldly, believing your word, that you would give your children, followers of Christ, wisdom Lord, that you would give us wisdom for our lives, wisdom for our work, wisdom for our worship and wisdom for our business. Father, that we would silence the voice of the world, tune into you and just get supernatural downloads from heaven. Father, I ask that you would give us a spirit of boldness, Father, that we would not hold back on unbelieving, big on believing you, taking you at your word. But Father, that we would trust you for who you are, that you are who you say you are, and you will do what you say you will do according to your word. And Father, I ask that you would bore out our ears to hear your voice. And Father, that we would obey right away, fully and completely whatever you tell us to do. And Father, I thank you for the gifts that you've given us. Lord, for every person listening to this. Lord, I thank you for the gifts and the call that you've placed on their lives. Father, I thank you that you love them so much more than I could ever express, Lord, and I pray that you would help them to feel the love that you have for them, Lord, that they would have an experiential knowledge of your love and understand the length and the height and the depth and the breadth of your love for them. This foundational belief sets the stage for the integration of faith into business practices.
"God cares deeply about our work because they are tools that God uses to reach people for his kingdom and to bless them." — Faith Hanan [00:45]
[04:30] The first scripture Faith discusses is John 10:27. She interprets this verse to emphasize that believers are designed to hear and follow God's voice. "Daily communication with God was the norm for which we were made." — Faith Hanan [07:15]
[15:20] Faith introduces Romans 11:36, which underscores that all things are from God, through Him, and for Him. She encourages entrepreneurs to dedicate their businesses to God, recognizing that their talents and resources originate from Him. This posture of surrender not only honors God but also positions business owners to receive divine guidance and blessings.
"This business that you are trying to grow, it is from him, for him, and to him." — Faith Hanan [20:45]
[25:10] The third scripture is James 1:5-6, which speaks about seeking wisdom from a generous God. Faith emphasizes that asking for divine wisdom is crucial for making sound business decisions. "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you." — Faith Hanan [28:30]
[35:05] Ephesians 1:15-21 is the fourth scripture Faith explores. This passage highlights the importance of spiritual wisdom and enlightenment. Faith urges entrepreneurs to pray for a deeper understanding of God's power and to embrace the spiritual resources available to them. She believes that such spiritual insight will amplify their effectiveness in the marketplace.
"I pray that you would understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe in Him." — Faith Hanan [38:50]
[45:30] The final scripture is Daniel 1:20, which recounts the story of Daniel and his friends excelling in wisdom and leadership by setting themselves apart for God’s work. Faith draws a parallel to modern entrepreneurs, encouraging them to dedicate their businesses to God. She asserts that such dedication leads to exceptional capabilities and distinguishes believers in their respective fields.

Faith concludes the episode with a heartfelt prayer, submitting all aspects of listeners' businesses to God. She prays for wisdom, boldness, and an experiential knowledge of God's love, reinforcing the episode's central theme of divine partnership in business growth.
