Well, hey, pals. Happy New Year. I hope that y' all had an amazing Christmas, an amazing New year, whatever you do for New Year celebration, and some amazing time with your family and with the Lord. Today I have a special kind of unique episode for me anyway, all about how to plan your most peaceful and productive year yet with one simple tool. Now, when it comes to planning and productivity and goal and goal setting, I am self, admittedly, admittedly a little bit of a junkie. Like, I read personal development books like they're going out of style. Like this stack of personal development, you know, you know, habit books or whatever that I've read and the stack that I still want to read, massive. It's so, so fascinating to me. And I absolutely love goal setting and vision boards and learning more and more about setting the right goals and, and, you know, chasing your goals and fulfilling your goals and, and honoring God and all of that. Spoiler alert. One year I gave everyone in my family a cork board and we all set goals together on New Year's. Like, I'm. I'm that kid, right? And while I'm definitely not here to say hi, I'm Faith. I'm a productivity coach. I have learned and continue to learn a lot about goal setting, planning, productivity, and rest. So when I say I'm in the trenches with you, figuring out what works and what doesn't, I mean it. And in this episode, I'm going to share with you one really simple tool that works. Are you ready? Let's go. Hey there, fellow entrepreneur. Welcome to Simple SEO and marketing. Do you want to grow your business with sustainable traffic sources? Have you heard about the power of search engine optimization? Hey, I'm Faith Hannon, wife, mama, copywriter, SEO strategist, and barrel racer. And for the last eight years, I've been figuring out what works and what doesn't work in the world of online marketing to get organic traffic. And now I'm here to share all the things I'm learning in the trenches of SEO, copywriting and content marketing. How does 300%, 500%, or even 12,000% more traffic in a year sound. What could your business do with that kind of traffic increase? How many more people could you help? So listen in and prepare to take notes. I'm about to drop simple, actionable SEO, marketing and copywriting tips, all with a heavy dose of Jesus loving encouragement. Let's get you more traffic and more leads so you can help more people with your God given gifts. All right y'. All. So it's the new year. Yay. Happy 2026. And I am, I'm here for it. 2025 was amazing for me and my family and my business and I just truly believe that 2026 is going to be even better. I don't necessarily have a word of the year figured out or all of my goals set, although I've literally been sitting with the Lord on it and working on it since end of November. I just don't have it all ironed out yet. And that's okay. I'm not worried about it. One of the things that I think is so important and as an entrepreneur, as a small business owner or even as a human, is to have something that we're working towards, right? To have plans. Now we can't like lose our ever loving mind when things don't go perfectly according to plan, but there is a lot of value and a lot of biblical backing behind goal setting and planning. Okay? And while there are a million bug a jillion tools out there to plan and you know, planners and daytimers or whatever, like there are a million things out there and I use several different things, the fact of the matter is if you miss this one major element in your planning, you're not going to one, be as productive as you want to be and your danks are not going to be as peaceful as you need to be. So I'm going to introduce this and I'm going to tell you like why this. Okay, so, so I've created an annual calendar, 2026 annual calendar specifically built for entrepreneurs so that you have a poster size calendar that is not bugly. It's gorgeous on your wall to map out your entire year. Not necessarily like the nitty gritty. I'm going to write this exact post on this day. Right. Like one poster is not big enough for that. But what it's going to allow you to do is it's going to allow you to see your entire year at a glance and to truly plan for a productive and peaceful year. So real quick, why did I make this? Well, I have used a tool very similar to this for several years now. And the last tool that I found for last year was actually pretty. And I'm like, I'm here for this. My office is also, is a little corner in my bedroom. And so whatever I have on my walls, like, it needs to be pretty. Like, ain't nobody got time for ugly stuff on their walls, especially if you're like me. And I like things to be, you know, aesthetically pleasing, as we all do, right? But this tool that I used last year, it's literally not available anymore. They're not making it anymore. And so as I was sitting to plan out my 2026, I was like, dang, I'm either gonna have to like, settle for a really ugly calendar that is not functional or I'm going to have to make it myself. Because I scoured the Internet, Etsy and all of the places for like, for a, a calendar that, a poster size calendar that was going to fit my needs and still be pretty. Because we know they're, they make the, you know, yearly calendars at Office Max or Walmart. They get the job done, but they are ugly. Okay? And again, I just didn't want that. So what I did is I sat down and I created this calendar just simply for myself. I was like, okay, I need a place to put where, what content is in production, what's in promotion, my project for the month and my quarterly launch goals and my quarterly launch plan. Like, just the general, like, this is what we're launching. So I sat down on Canva and I spent so many hours, so, so, so many hours creating this thing and making it exactly how I want it to be. And then my little entrepreneur brain kicked in and I was like, well, hot dog, I'm not the only one that needs this. And there literally is nothing else out there that I could find that fits the bill for an annual calendar. In one view, for an entrepreneur, for a small business owner. So I've decided to sell it. Y' all can have it. It's a very, very, very low fee for what this is going to help you with. So. And here's why. This, this tool, an annual. An annual calendar. Here's why this is important. Okay? I've got four reasons why this is important. Whether you buy this from me or you go to Walmart and you buy one that is not my aesthetic, My, not my aesthetic, but it might be yours. You need an annual calendar that you can see in one place at a glance. And I'm going to walk you through four reasons why you need it. And Then y' all go get it wherever you want to get it. Okay, number one, the number one reason, Please hear me on this. Why you desperately need an annual calendar to plan a peaceful and productive year. Is this the number one reason? You've got to look at the big picture. And I know you'd be like, thanks, Faith, that's really helpful. But I truly believe that one of the main reasons that small business owners burn out is because they don't look at their life and their business in the same space. Now, I'm not saying that we need to be, like, taking care of our kids and having one on one time with our kids while we're recording a podcast. That's not how it works. Yes, right. Like, we need. We need work time and we need family time in separate chunks of time. Right? My kids are not getting one on one mama time while I'm recording this podcast. Okay, but if you can't realistically see, oh, snap, I just spent eight. I just planned out eight months of the year of 80 hour work weeks. I bet my family's going to suffer, then you're setting yourself up for failure and having an annual calendar on the wall that you can write on, see with your eyeballs and make changes to. Having an annual calendar on the wall really, really, really helps prevent burnout. And this is why, because you can look over and you can see, oh, my family's coming to visit for I probably shouldn't plan a big launch right then. Or you can look up and you can say, oh, you know what? I've had like three big months, Three giant projects, back to back to back to back to back. I should probably take a month to just slow down a bit and breathe. Okay? When we can see the whole picture in one picture, it allows us to plan with our peace and a good rhythm in mind. Okay? Which leads me to reason number two. When you can see the whole thing, see a whole annual picture in one place, it allows you to plan for seasons of hustle and seasons of rest. So in a perfect world, I would have the exact same amount of hours to work every week at the exact same time. And I would get everything exactly done how I plan to get it done. But the reality is, I don't live in that world. And I'm guessing that you don't either. And no matter how well you, you know, work ahead, you're probably like me, still gonna have to work extra hours around a launch or a special promo. You're probably still gonna have to work, you know, extra hours to get ahead or get caught up if somebody in your house has been sick, like, whatever. Like, we don't live in a perfect world. And so if you don't plan for seasons of hustle and seasons of rest, then you are just go, go, go at a sprint all the time. But when you can look at your year in one place, then you can see, oh, yeah, my husband has big projects this month. I should probably plan for a little bit slower month that's at that same time, right? So that you're not trying to sprint at, like, full capacity all the time. Right. You can look at the. You can look at your calendar. You can look at your month and be like, oh, yeah, the kids have basketball four nights a week. I'm probably not going to get any extra work hours, so I should just plan for, like, my maintenance projects. Okay? So when you can see the whole picture in one picture, you can plan for seasons of hustle and seasons of rest and not be mad at yourself for it. Not be like, oh, dang it, I didn't get much done this month. Well, you did. You just maybe didn't get it done in the same bucket. Right? The number three thing, number three reason why you desperately need an annual calendar on your wall is this is because you truly need to be able to sit with the Lord and get his direction before rushing off to set goals. And goals are really great on paper. Plans are really great on paper until something changes, right? Or you, you know, you. Something comes up or another big project or a life thing happens or a big business thing happens. Like, like Mike Tyson said, everyone's got a plan until they get punched in the mouth. And when we don't sit with the Lo to plan and we don't sit with the Lord to set our goals, what we are doing is we are just rushing ahead. We are just rushing ahead. My pastor, for years and years and years, he. He was like, I loved him so much, but there was so many things that I was like, why are we not making progress on this? And he was like, well, faith, I'd rather be behind the Lord than ahead. And I'm like, oh, dang, you are so right. And so in planning out your year, when looking at your whole year, I want you to sit with the Lord and get his direction before you rush off to set goals, before you rush off to plan all of the launches and do all of the things. And this is not to say that you just spend the whole year sitting, not doing anything right, like fulfilling your dreams and callings that God has on your life. Looks a lot like work. It looks a lot like work. When I was in Bible school, they used to say ministry is spelled W O R K because there is. It's in the doing, right? It's not just in the sitting and the strategizing. It's in the doing that the impact is made. But if we don't take time to sit with the Lord and get his direction, then we are building in vain. What does that scripture say? Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders build in vain. But I do want to encourage you that the Lord wants. He wants to give you direction. He wants to give you direction. Proverbs 3, 5, and 6 says it, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. God wants to show us. God wants to give us direction. He wants us to come to Him. He longs to speak to us even more than we long to hear his voice, right? He created us because he wanted a family. He wants intimate relationship, intimate communication with you. So don't be afraid to sit with the Lord and get his direction before you rush off to set goals, okay? And the number four tip I have for you, number four reason why you desperately need a calendar, an annual calendar, to plan out your year, is you can use an erasable marker. Because, y', all, we all need erasable markers in our lives. And one of my favorite things about how I have set up my annual calendar is I put it behind a poster frame, because to laminate it in my small town was going to be astronomical. AKA they didn't even have it. There's no laminator that big in my town. And so they were gonna have to send it off, and it was just going to be an astronomical fee. So I was like, you know what? I'm gonna get a poster frame that y' all used to use framing your Backstreet Boys and NSYNC posters. I'm gonna get a poster frame and I'm gonna put it behind that. So I can just use my erasable marker and be like, whoop, we're not doing a launch that day. We're not going on vacation that week. We're not doing that because it's erasable, right? And it is okay to erase our plans and change them. So if you will head to the link in the show notes, you can grab Your annual calendar, 2026 annual calendar for only $27. What it's going to do is going to give you a digital download to go and get it printed. And and y' all also get the Canva template so that if you're like faith, your colors are not my colors. I like these pinks. I like pinks and purples. Then you can take that Canva template, you can edit it to have your colors and your fonts for your brand and then get it printed. So for just $27 you're going to get the digital download that then you can print yourself and even customize for yourself so that you can truly see your whole year at a glance. You can plan smarter.
