And for the last eight years I've been figuring out what works and what doesn't work in the world of online marketing to get organic traffic. And now I'm here to share all the things I'm learning in the trenches of SEO, copywriting and content marketing. How does 300%, 500% or even 12,000% more traffic in a year sound? What could your business do with that kind of traffic increase? How many more people could you help? So listen in and prepare to take note. I'm about to drop simple, actionable SEO, marketing and copywriting tips all with a heavy dose of Jesus loving encouragement. Let's get you more traffic and more leads so you can help more people with your God given gifts. Okay, y'. All. So I actually find this really funny podcast a little bit ironic for me to be recording because I love to learn. Like, I love, love, love, love, love to learn. I love to read. I love to go to clinics. I love to, you know, go to church. I love to study. I love to. I love to learn. And I'm not saying that that's a bad thing. I'm not. But there's definitely. There's definitely a difference between learning something and applying it. We'll get into that more later. But know. Know that this is coming from somebody who loves to learn. Like, seriously, ask me about the list of things that I want to learn. Slash, am learning more about in my life right now. Like equine massage, how to do more inclusions in my sourdough, y'. All. I want to make a pizza sourdough. And I'm so excited to try that soon. I also want to learn about beekeeping because we're building a house and it's literally the perfect place for bees, okay? I want to learn how to garden more successfully. I enjoy interior design and learning about that. I want to learn how to build an app. I want to learn how to build better systems in my business. And don't even get me started on how much I want to learn about riding my horse better, okay? And all of the things about taking supreme care of my horses, right? And. And the health, things that I'm learning constantly for me and my family. Like, I love, love, love learning. I have a bookshelf full of books that I am excited to read. I love learning, okay? And some of these things, some of these topics I totally buy books on slash will buy more books on, okay? Some of these things I am actively going through courses on. Some of these things I have plans to go through courses or trainings on. And some of these things I am submitting myself to mentorship and coaching on, okay? Like, I have a co. I have a course on equine massage that I'm going through. I would love to do more hands on training with that. I am submitting myself to coaching in my business systems and in my barrel and like, riding my barrel horse better. Like, I'm. I am doing the things to learn, okay? So don't feel like I'm not actually doing these things that I teach, okay? But I want to break down the. Just the pros and cons of DIY versus courses versus programs, okay? And hang with me clear till the end, because my definition of a program may be a little different than yours. And I want to make sure that you get like the full, full value from this filter that we're building. Building for you, like, for you to filter your decisions. Okay, so diy, everybody loves a good diy. Like, figure out you want to blow out a wall in your house and then watch YouTube videos and mess it up 97 times and end up with something beautiful. Right? Like, we all love a diy. Okay? And DIY can have immense value, right? You can, it's. They're actually kind of fun. I love diying things because you can build as you go and, and tweak the thing for. Need it to be. Okay. I've done this recently, like with, with saddle fitting for my horse. I had to get a new saddle for my horse and I didn't get the opportunity to go to a saddle fitter. I had to diy, learn a bunch of stuff, watch a ton of videos, take measurements, figure out what tree width fit him and what's going to fit me. Like, there was a lot of DIY in there. And DIY can also be cool because it's almost like a buffet line. Okay. Like, what do you need? And you just put that on your plate. I don't need a whole bunch of social media scaling stuff for my business, so I don't want to have to put that on my plate, you know, with a, with a product that I purchase. The other cool thing to DIY is there. It's usually pretty cheap. Okay, you're putting the time in, but there's usually not a lot of dala dolla investment into diying things, obviously depending on the project right now, the cons of diying something, and remember, we're specifically thinking through business growth stuff, right? The cons to diying stuff is it can be super time consuming, super time consuming. And I think we all have things in our business that we're like, gosh dang it, I wish I hadn't tried to figure that out on my own. Been there. Another con for diying is there can be a huge learning curve. Not just time consuming, but a huge learning curve. And you can actually. Another con is you can actually make it a little bit too custom because that in turn leads to often reinventing the wheel because you're not building off of a system that's already proven effective. If that makes sense. Like if you are trying to DIY your social media strategy and you're trying to figure out how often to post, when to post, how many times a day to post, what kind of content to post, how many dms, how to stay, how long you should stay on after you post. Like all of those things, you're Gonna spend some time figuring all that out. Do I know the answer to that with social media? No, I do not. And I'm not even gonna preten. But those are some cons for diying now. Courses. What in the world? Okay. What in the world? Let's go through some pros for courses, okay? Because I feel like a lot of people have kind of. It's almost like courses have gotten a bad name because some of us. I'm halfway raising my hand here. Some of us collect courses, like books with. We have like a vision. We collect courses for the person we want to be, not necessarily for the person that we are right now. And we're like, oh, I'm gonna do that course. And then we don't get to it. Just like the books on my bookshelf that I've got for my birthday that I haven't had time to read. Right? So pros of courses, like, I do not think courses are all bad. I have purchased courses. I use courses. I'm not against them. I sell courses, not against them. But I think it bears some, you know, some consideration to filter through. Okay, Pros are. Pros of courses are. They tend to be very step by step. You watch this, do this, watch this, do this, watch this, do this. It's amazing for really removing decision overwhelm because, hi, I know about you, but I have to make approximately 800,000 decisions before breakfast. I don't really always want to have to decide what to do next when I'm learning something. Okay? Courses can be so amazing. And courses are really, really great for lear a specific skill set sometimes. Like, for example, there's a course I'm going through right now that is just teaching certain horse massage skill sets, okay? However, cons to courses are they can be very rigid and inflexible to your situation and what you already know. For example, this equine massage course that I'm going through right now, I've listened to like couple hours of the content, and it is literally all review from high school anatomy as far as, like, the types of muscle and recovery and stuff like that. That I already know all that, which is awesome that I know that. But also, I need sister to get to the racculin so I can learn what to do. So the cons to courses are they can be really rigid and inflexible to your situation. Also, when you skip around in those courses. Hi, it's me. You often miss crucial elements and then you have to go back and redo things. Because I am trying not to be the queen of this, but I am kind of the queen of this. And depending on the course, it can be a lot of time wasting. Just basic level info like I talked about with my horse massage course that I'm going through. And to be honest, not all courses are laid out in an easy to understand or easy to follow way. Sometimes people are better doers than they are teachers, which is fine. And sometimes people just don't think through the very logical progression of how somebody would move from point A to point B in their, in their course material. I'm not knocking anybody. I'm just saying sometimes that is a major conversation to a course. And then typically with courses, there isn't somebody to ask for clarification or help. Like you might send an email, but you don't get like feedback on your situation or your business or your, hey, I have this issue with this thing. What would you recommend? You don't get that with a course which, honest to goodness, that is what we@faith hannon.com that's what we try to do to fix with group coaching for the simple SEO framework and group coaching. Because I knew, you know, we needed the course so that I'm not just re explaining everything 900,000 times. You need to be able to watch the videos and do the things. And then I also wanted you to be able to come to me for clarification or help. And that's what we tried to fix with that. But spoiler alert, we have an update. We have an update. So I'll get to that in a minute. So the program thing, let's talk about the pros and cons of a program versus DIY or course. But let me give you my definition of a program first. So this is Faith's definition of a program versus group coaching. So in a program there is some level of accountability. There's homework check ins and checkpoints like deadlines, due dates. Okay. In a program, some give you continued access to the curriculum beyond the program or the coaching aspect. And some cut off curriculum right away. I've been in, I've participated as a student in both. Okay. Also in a program there's usually some kind of a community, but there's usually also some faster, more assured results. If you're somebody that you need deadlines, you need accountability, you need, you know, that feedback, there's usually you're gonna get faster, more assured results in a program versus, you know, group coaching or just like Q and A sessions. And I know that from personal experience because the business, the, the course, the Programs, excuse me, that I have participated in and purchased like I just got gangbuster results from, because I knew I had to get stuff done. I was there for the accountability. I, you know, was keeping up with things. I knew I had, you know, short or period of time to get something done. And so for me, those programs have been absolutely instrumental in growing my business. There are some that I have enjoyed the community aspect of more than others, just being real. And I've always loved that, that I get more feedback from the coach or the founder of the program in a program versus, you know, a course. Some of the cons of a program, let's just be real, are there's usually a higher price tag, right, because you're getting more one on one, more hand holding, more templates, more time from the creator. But you're not, you're not going to get stuck. I, for me anyway, you're not going to get stuck in the, like, mosey along pace or just letting that course, so to speak, collect dust on your digital shelf. So just to kind of break her down, let's chat through this. DIY is fine. I think DIY is fine when you have the time and patience and you can tolerate slower progress. Okay. A course is really cool and really helpful when you need all the information in one place in a step by step manner versus maybe a book. A program though, is for people who don't want to keep second guessing, stalling out or piecing things together alone. The real difference between the three options is not just information, because let's be honest, we can Google a lot of things. The real difference is not just information. It's structure, feedback, accountability and implementation and how quickly you want to see results. So here's my quick tip for you. I need you to ask yourself, which problem do you, your sweet little self, actually have right now in your business growth? Is it lack of information? Is it lack of clarity or lack of follow through and feedback? Okay. And if your issue is clarity or follow through consistency, that's where a program fits in. Hey pal, quick question for you. Is your website actually converting like it should, or is it just kind of watching the traffic zip by as it goes straight to your competitor? Because I talk to business owners all the time who are trying to do SEO, who genuinely want to market smarter, not harder, who are putting in time to their website, but they're still not seeing consistent, ready to buy leads come in. And at some point it starts to feel like, is this even possible or am I just missing something? That is exactly what we fix inside of Simple SEO Framework and Guided Group Program not by giving you more to do, but by showing you what to focus on, what to ignore, and how to know for sure that what you're creating is actually going to convert to dolla dollas. And this time it's a guided live six week group program so you are not left alone trying to figure this out. You get clear weekly action steps so you're not spinning your wheels. Coaching calls for real feedback, community support inside of Slack and a plan you can actually follow without second guessing every step. And here's the part I really want you to hear. Before June is over, you could have a website that actually makes SEO happy. A homepage that has people saying yes, this is exactly who I've been looking for and content set up to drive conversions, not just looky loos. Or you can stay stuck in the same content hamster wheel you've been trying desperately to escape. Doors are open right now through May 5th. And spoiler, there's also a sale. Instead of that, we're hammering it out in a over the course of six weeks with homework breakdown accountability, a Slack community. You're going to know exactly what to work on this week and then turn in the homework and get feedback. You're going to know what to work on the next week and then turn in the homework and get feedback to help you make the progress that your business desperately needs to make. And at the end of six weeks, you're going to have if you show up and do the work right, you're going to have your website set up for SEO success. Okay? You're going to have your content like converting content, not just throwing spaghetti at the wall content. You're going to have converting content high converting content rocking along out there. You're going to have a plan for creating more content. You're going to get your homepage website copy like Chef's Kiss so dialed in for conversion because I'm going to be able to give you, my copywriter brain feedback on that within the calls. And I'm limiting access to this because I want to be able to give you give each student that participates the attention and the time that, that they need. And I couldn't do it. I couldn't do that right now with 500 people, right? So I have limited access. I'm limiting it to 25 spots, y'. All. So if you have even remotely been thinking, gosh, I'm not making the progress that I want to make with my business, SEO isn't working. My content isn't driving to sales. And in six weeks, you are gonna have a website that's set up to convert and make SEO happy. You're gonna have your keywords figured out for the clients that this the traffic that's actually going to convert, not just the look you lose.
