Narrator
Lost in the ocean. That starts being old to be good.
Holiday
There are kids in this world who are different. Special.
Mom
One of them found us and became family.
Brinley
But her time ran out.
Cyrus
And now that girl is missing.
Narrator
Sam.
Ivan
Locating last whereabouts of Dr. Adelaide Whittier.
Dad
Shouldn't Brinley be back by now?
Ivan
You know you can talk to me.
Dad
I am talking to you.
Ivan
No, I mean as a friend, a buddy, a pal, a chum, a compadre. Your rider.
Dad
D. I get it. Talk about what?
Ivan
How worried you are about Brinley. I'm surprised you didn't insist on going with her to the CEO's office.
Dad
Like she'd let me.
Jude
Where is she?
Cyrus
Uh, who?
Jude
Brinley. Where is Brinley? Who are you? Ah. You don't know who I am.
Ivan
That's why he asked the question, Sibot.
Dad
Uh, am I supposed to know you?
Jude
All you need to know right now is that my name is Jude. And it is absolutely vital that I find Brynley immediately.
Dad
Sorry, can't help you.
Jude
Cyrus. Don't lie to me.
Dad
Have we met?
Jude
Are you hiding her from me? Because that would be a mistake.
Dad
I don't even know who you are. But she went to see the CEO, Angelica Graves.
Jude
You mean Angelica Graves abducted her.
Ivan
What?
Jude
I should have known. When Angelica insisted on walking herself out and the frozen guards in the hallway.
Dad
Frozen?
Jude
She activated one of her mutant operators.
Dad
You're telling me that Brinley's been kidnapped?
Ivan
If anyone was going to kidnap Brinley, it would be this clown.
Dad
You know him?
Ivan
Oh, I sure do.
Jude
I had enough. Enough of you smart mouth robots. Ivan, put the entire building on alert.
Cyrus
We've already locked down, sir.
Dad
Sir?
Jude
Seal all the pathways.
Dad
Mom.
Mom
Are you safe?
Ivan
Yes.
Dad
They're looking for Brinley. We know about the lockdown.
Ivan
Dad.
Dad
I thought you were going back for Birdie.
Holiday
Had to reverse course for a bit. Kid, I need you to get to the roof immediately. Can you do that?
Dad
I'll find a way.
Jude
Ivan, find Brinley. Pastak.
Narrator
Now. I don't love this.
Brinley
Ms. Graves.
Cyrus
The speed. We don't have a choice, Brinley. They'll be coming for us.
Brinley
Also not a fan of blindly going wherever you're taking me.
Cyrus
I can promise you, you're safer with me than you are at Whittier Corp with this Jude there.
Jude (younger)
Jude?
Cyrus
Do you know him? Young British guy, extra smug.
Brinley
British? The voice in my dreams.
Cyrus
What?
Jude (younger)
Long story.
Brinley
Watch out for the ice.
Cyrus
Oh, relax. We're fine.
Brinley
So who is Jude Person?
Cyrus
Somehow, Jude is Dr. Whittier. Dr. Whittier is Jude.
Brinley
You mean like time travel?
Cyrus
I know it's hard to believe.
Brinley
Not really.
Cyrus
Okay, well, for some reason, he's after you, and I don't think he'll stop until he finds you.
Brinley
Guinevere.
Cyrus
Guinevere Fontaine? Dr. Whittier's wife. What about her?
Brinley
She's. Never mind. What's in this for you? Why do you care if he gets me or not?
Cyrus
First of all, the man just stole my company. But more than that. You don't remember this, but you and I, we knew each other a long time ago. And I am very aware that the world was once headed down a different direction.
Brinley
But then it changed.
Cyrus
Yes.
Brinley
And you want to change it back.
Cyrus
No. I want to make sure that it never shifts again. And you, Brinley, want the same thing, even if you don't realize it yet.
Casey
This really is a beautiful hike. I'd prefer not to be carrying a bodyless head, but where are we going?
Adam
Casey, my ears are popping.
Casey
Robot ears pop, too, huh? So tell me about when you and your pals lived on this island.
Adam
Cam, Badger, and Holliday. They were more than pals. The Four was a family and a force. You have no idea how much trouble we caused Whittier Corp.
Casey
The Four. Terrible name. BT Dubs.
Adam
Blame your boss, Angelica Graves, for that one. Bots and mutants were natural enemies in that world.
Casey
Yet now you are relying on me to get well anywhere.
Adam
Will the indignity ever end?
Casey
Oh, it's Birdie. Hey, what's the good word, bird?
Jude (younger)
Well, my dad had to bail on the rescue mission, so I swam to a nearby island and. How shall I put this? Commandeered a small boat.
Casey
You commandeered a boat?
Jude (younger)
A small one.
Casey
You mean you stole it?
Adam
Like father, like daughter, I guess.
Jude (younger)
I heard that.
Narrator
I.
Jude (younger)
Cut the attitude if you want to come along. Adam, Casey, meet me on the beach.
Casey
See you there. You know, Adam, she's not wrong. Why should we bring you with us? Seems like you are nothing but trouble. And we have enough of that without you.
Adam
You said it yourself. You guys need me.
Casey
I said we might need you.
Adam
But you're Right. Because one, I can help you and the Anders fam get Holiday back. Two, I have a bunch of fun facts about the other version of the world you may find interesting.
Casey
Like what?
Adam
I'm not gonna give it all away before I get on the boat.
Casey
Oh, come on. Just a couple of fun facts can't hurt. How do I know you're not lying?
Adam
I could be. But here's a couple for you. You and Cyrus used to be an item.
Casey
Me and Sci Fi. How did it. I mean, were we.
Adam
I don't know all the cringy details. But I do know you once lived a glamorous life bouncing around Europe.
Mom
Europe?
Casey
I've always wanted to live in Paris. All right. Maybe you will be useful. Let's get to that boat.
Holiday
Mom.
Dad
Dad. This is it.
Mom
Sigh. Are you sure this is where you want to land?
Dad
Friendly's cabin?
Brinley
Yeah.
Holiday
This isn't the safe haven we were thinking of when we pulled you off
Brinley
the Whittier Corp roof.
Dad
It's not like we could go home. And I. I need to show you something.
Mom
We were just gonna walk inside.
Dad
Doesn't look like Mr. Pasternak is home. Come on in.
Mom
Wow. Those are a lot of dead animal heads.
Holiday
As dead as our dream of rebuilding Holiday.
Mom
I still can't believe Jude is Dr. Whittier.
Dad
Actually, it's starting to make sense.
Holiday
What are you looking for?
Dad
She usually puts the next one in a place that I can.
Jude (younger)
Ah.
Dad
Got it.
Mom
A cassette tape.
Dad
Tape number four.
Holiday
What is it?
Dad
Just listen.
Holiday (younger)
Hey. Sigh. Glad you found this one.
Mom
Is that.
Jude (younger)
I'm asking how many tapes the show
Holiday (younger)
has left over the years.
Mom
Listen.
Holiday (younger)
Anyway. Welcome back to your 1989 report. Yep. Still here. Still hanging out with the teenage version of our parents.
Mom
Teenage version of her? Parents of us. At least some version of us is with her.
Holiday
Wait. This is crazy. How is she in 1989?
Holiday (younger)
I really need things back how they were.
Holiday
We're trying too, Holiday.
Holiday (younger)
And I think we have the workings of a plan of how to do that.
Dad
Oh, I knew it.
Jude (younger)
Yes.
Dad
Halls. Halls. Where did that come from?
Holiday
Amazing. How when.
Holiday (younger)
More details to come. But just know. New Year's Eve. That's when I need you to do it. That's when we'll make things right.
Dad
New Year's Eve.
Narrator
Whoa.
Brinley
Is this how rich people fly? You just drive your car right onto the Runway?
Cyrus
Private airfield. Private jet. Looks like they're ready for us.
Brinley
Where is it taking us?
Cyrus
I'll tell you once we're on board. We don't have much time. Brinley.
Brinley
Look I appreciate you trying to get me away from mini Dr. Whittier and all, but why should I trust you
Cyrus
in the other version of this world, the one you and Cyrus have been trying to bring back. Wasn't your mother May missing?
Brinley
Yes. That's what I saw.
Cyrus
Cyrus once told me you had to be an adult your entire childhood. That your life was really hard and lonely.
Brinley
He said that?
Cyrus
Is that a reality you want back? I know things are far from perfect here, but coming from someone who grew up without loving parents. You want to lose your mom for real?
Brinley
I. I don't know. That world is foreign to me. But there are parts that feel right. Cyrus having both of his sisters around me and Cyrus together.
Cyrus
There are other ways those things can happen without unraveling the world the way it is now. Besides, falling in love with Cyrus all over again may not be such a bad thing.
Brinley
You know, a world where my mother is here and Holiday is back with her family.
Cyrus
How.
Brinley
How do we make that happen?
Cyrus
First, we need to find Pen before he does something irreversible. And then we can go about creating the best of both worlds.
Brinley
The best of both worlds.
Pen
Ms. Graves, you made it.
Brinley
Him. I'm out of here.
Cyrus
No, it's okay. He's on our side. He won't hurt you.
Pen
I won't hurt you. Although you're kind of cute when you're scared.
Brinley
First of all, I'm not scared. And ew. Are you flirting with me?
Narrator
No.
Pen
Is it working?
Brinley
No.
Cyrus
Lets all remain focused on the mission, shall we? Now. 65656 Mississippi. Any luck?
Pen
Some. I got a read on the bot known as Badger.
Brinley
Badger is a bot?
Pen
And he went back to the source.
Brinley
What's the source?
Cyrus
Not what.
Jude
Who.
Cyrus
Adelaide Whittier.
Brinley
Adelaide.
Cyrus
She has Penn, Brinley. It's now or never.
Brinley
Does the jet have snacks? At least.
Cyrus
65656 Mississippi. Chart a course to Thornton. Rust.
