The first move in following God’s mission is to notice the needs of those around us. Keeping our eyes open for people in need where we live, work and play is the first act of the front porch. Then, showing mercy without regard for the person (gender, race, culture, sexuality, etc.) completes the act of love for God and neighbor. This sermon will confront our prejudices and barriers to sharing mercy.
