Alicia Cuthbert
Smart. Less.
Adam Pally
How you been?
John Gabris
How you been feeling? Workout wise?
Adam Pally
Good.
John Gabris
Me too.
Adam Pally
You look for. You look great. You look. I can tell you on your body where you can see things like you.
John Gabris
I'm feeling good. I've gotten into a really good habit. Me and my. My youngest brother Jason, we have something we joke about. We call it brocountability and we each text each other when we're at the gym.
Adam Pally
My friend, you have just created the next humble brag.
John Gabris
Bro. Countability.
Adam Pally
Brocountability. You need to T shirt. T shirt.
John Gabris
Put it on the merch.
Adam Pally
Put it on me. If anyone says that we just did put this on the Internet right now.
John Gabris
So we've been texting each other when he. When he go to the gym. And it'll be enough sometimes to kick me from going like, I was just about to blow the day off. And then my brother posts the exercise bike with 30 minutes on it or whatever, and I'm like, dude, gotta go.
Adam Pally
I would do that for you too. If you want. If you want double bro accountability.
John Gabris
It really hits. It really hits.
Adam Pally
No, I know. I can imagine.
John Gabris
And it just feels good sometimes to be like, hey, look, I'm at the gym. You know?
Adam Pally
You know why I think that I can imagine that it would hit hard too? Because there have been other times where I've gotten a text from you or I've sent a text to you of like a perfect beer.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Adam Pally
And that always makes me go, well, it's quitting time.
John Gabris
Right? Exactly. Well, that. Exactly. It's that version. It's this turn in the. Turning the energy in the other angle. Yeah, like, yeah, just like. Because it is perfect beer. Like, look at the sushi train. Or yeah, when you send me like the empty stack of plates or I send you like, look at the size of this blunt and take it to the face.
Adam Pally
Yeah, I know, it's like same impulse, right? But let's just turn it. Yeah, that way.
John Gabris
Yeah, you send that fucking like, bro accountability. Yeah, dude. It's really been working for both of us. He. Because he'll be like, dude, I've been on a three day bender and you sending that picture from the gym made me go like, well, tomorrow I have to go to the gym.
Adam Pally
Yeah, I mean, that's better than what I've been doing, which is brocancula.
John Gabris
Right, Right. And that's where you have to wait for the guy to invite you into the gym.
Adam Pally
And so I just stand outside.
John Gabris
I can't come in unless you invite me. They're all like, jesus Christ, Would you come in?
Adam Pally
Is this guy ever gonna come in?
John Gabris
I'm like, torrential downpour. You hold like a newspaper, and I'm
Adam Pally
like, I'd love to.
John Gabris
Then you get on the bench. One, two. We've got.
Adam Pally
Hey, I'm doing a superset. You cannot cut in. Are you using this?
John Gabris
Are you still on the.
Adam Pally
Pull down? You know, if you don't put your shoulders back, you won't feel it as much in your arms.
John Gabris
There is creatine in blood.
Adam Pally
Are you Training for something, Mrs. Oh, Ms. Good to know.
John Gabris
Do you take your wedding ring off to exercise?
Adam Pally
Oh, there is no wedding ring. Well, I've got.
John Gabris
How do you feel about. Are you pro Transylvania? It's so stupid. So stupid. So stupid. We end up getting canceled by Transylvanians.
Adam Pally
How many. How many genders are there? One,
Alicia Cuthbert
two.
Adam Pally
Ah, ah, ah.
John Gabris
Three.
Adam Pally
What a guest do we have today?
John Gabris
We have. We have a. An old.
Adam Pally
Another happy ender.
John Gabris
Another happy ender. A person I met through you.
Adam Pally
And we're gonna get all five. We're gonna get all five eventually.
John Gabris
Oh, we gotta get. Zach needs.
Adam Pally
Well, Zach is putting it off at this point because I. Because I. Because I've talked to him about it, and he's. He's like, I'm not ready.
John Gabris
He's, like, training to be a guest, truly.
Adam Pally
I think he is, because I think he's, like, kind of living the life right now, and he's like, I'm not ready to think about what I'm doing to stay alive.
John Gabris
He's, like, actively going the other direction. But luckily, who we have today is trying to stay alive.
Adam Pally
Yes. And she's good at it.
John Gabris
She's. She's living.
Adam Pally
She's living. She very much so alive. And she's been alive since the moment I saw her.
John Gabris
She's still alive.
Adam Pally
And she. But she's also. She's one of my closest friends. And I said in the. In the episode, she's a guy's girl and she likes to hang. And she really, like, she's competitive and, and she's not fussy, she's not catty. Like, she's just one of the best hangs in my life. And I feel like she'll become that in yours.
John Gabris
She's just like. Even when I met her 15 years ago, whatever that was, she's always been mature. Like, young, but like a pro.
Adam Pally
Yeah. So every situation.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Adam Pally
Even when she started working when she
John Gabris
was so young, but she's still, like, her vibes are, like, impeccable. And she's just a good Time.
Adam Pally
And it's always like that. Like, whether you're on set with her in a night shoot and it's going long, it's like, she. She's going to get you through that. Or if you're, like, 15 beers deep on an island in Canada and you can't find the ferry, she's going to make it a good time. Yeah. Hell, yeah. And both of those situations, I've been with her.
John Gabris
Yeah. They sounded pretty specific.
Adam Pally
They're pretty specific to me and her. There are a lot of those, actually, with me and her and her sister. But she's one of my fav. Favorite people. And I will say, I don't think she gets enough love as an actress. She is one of the most underrated comedic actresses working right now.
John Gabris
She's got it. She's got the juice.
Adam Pally
She's got the juice. Yeah. And I feel like people don't give her enough love on that. She's amazing.
John Gabris
Well, she'll get our flowers from staying alive for sure.
Adam Pally
Yeah. So here, without further ado, Alicia Cuthbert. You like to eat?
Alicia Cuthbert
Like, I love to eat.
Adam Pally
I was gonna say, we've had dinners where CU eats and drinks me under the table. So you.
Alicia Cuthbert
I know, but I'm trying to chill out a little bit.
John Gabris
I know, dude.
Adam Pally
I am.
John Gabris
You're. That's the subtext of our entire podcast. Our entire health journey is like, I'm just trying to chill a little bit.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah. I'm just trying to be a good girl and just tone it all down.
Adam Pally
You're a good girl.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes. Thank you.
Adam Pally
You do. You do have that thing that Gabrius and I have, which is, like, you know, you. You indulge, you like to eat. You, like, you live. You live. You're a full person. You live your life.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm gonna make you jealous. Cause I went to Nancy Silverton's house. What? Two nights. Are we rolling? Cause this is a story.
Adam Pally
No, we're rolling. Wait.
Alicia Cuthbert
Not to, like, name drop. It was two nights ago.
Adam Pally
What happened?
Alicia Cuthbert
Everything. I mean, what didn't happen? I mean, I was like, is this a dream sequence that, like.
Adam Pally
So who got it?
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, you want to know the whole story?
Adam Pally
I gotta start from the beginning.
Alicia Cuthbert
Of course. Dion hooked it up for our listeners. My husband has a way cooler life than me.
Adam Pally
For our listeners that don't. Alicia is married to former LA King, Toronto, Maple Leaf. Great.
Alicia Cuthbert
Dion got a way cooler life. I just ride along.
Adam Pally
I'm like, share that life.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm his plus one.
Adam Pally
So. So this was a Dion event or a Cuthbert event.
Alicia Cuthbert
Well, it was. It was a Dion event at the start.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
John Gabris
But it turned into.
Alicia Cuthbert
Turned into.
Adam Pally
Those are most Cuthbert events. That's like their wedding.
Alicia Cuthbert
It started all about him, and then it became.
Adam Pally
Once Alicia shows up.
Alicia Cuthbert
Well, what happened was we were at a charity event for the wildfires.
Adam Pally
Okay.
Alicia Cuthbert
And one of the auction items was a private dinner at Nancy's.
Adam Pally
So you guys bid.
Alicia Cuthbert
We bid. And we were like, we need to.
Adam Pally
And then you were like, dion, do not lose this.
Alicia Cuthbert
And I'm like, keep putting that up.
Adam Pally
I need that focaccia.
Alicia Cuthbert
Get the paddle up. I need the good salads.
Adam Pally
And he's like, I want the Rolex.
Alicia Cuthbert
He's like. He's like, who is she? I'm like, why do we have to random.
Adam Pally
He's like, I don't want to go to some Jewish lady's house. You're like, her house.
Alicia Cuthbert
We need every. Her house is everything that you would imagine, though, like the wallpaper, the florals.
Adam Pally
Where is it?
Alicia Cuthbert
It's. Am I allowed to.
Adam Pally
Well, you can, like, give an area, like LA Hill.
Alicia Cuthbert
It's. Oh, God. Right below Paramount.
Adam Pally
Okay. Yeah.
John Gabris
Yeah. Hancock Park.
Alicia Cuthbert
Thank you, Hancock. What's wrong with me? I can't. You know, we're old. Yikes. I can't even remember how.
John Gabris
Paramount. Happy Ending Studio.
Alicia Cuthbert
That's what I was like. That's the only thing that came to my head. I was like, oh, that area. Paramount.
John Gabris
My first TV guest star.
Adam Pally
Yeah. We were all three happy.
John Gabris
I was visiting from New York, and you were like, hey, come in for. And read for this two line part. Read for the two line part. Move my flight back two days. Shot it on my birthday.
Adam Pally
Oh, I don't remember that.
John Gabris
That's amazing. What? I was in a scene with Zach and Damon, like, the video.
Alicia Cuthbert
Because I was gonna say, I don't remember. I don't. We didn't.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
It wasn't us.
John Gabris
It was the three of us.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, that's nice.
John Gabris
But it was such a treat. You were like, come on in. See if it can happen. And I was, like, driving onto the Paramount lot. For me, it was like, right in the beginning of my.
Adam Pally
Oh, I love that job. Being on the Paramount lot. That was the best job ever.
Alicia Cuthbert
Parking in that, like, whirlpool and like,
Adam Pally
just being, like, right.
Alicia Cuthbert
Right next to Glee.
Adam Pally
Truly. And, like, being like, fuck you, Glee.
Alicia Cuthbert
Do you remember. Do you know about the story about me and Casey sneaking onto the set of Glee?
Adam Pally
No way.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, my God.
John Gabris
Wait, we gotta wrap up. Silverton dinner.
Adam Pally
Oh, yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
Sorry. Okay. Let me wrap up. Okay. Yeah. There's not much more to it other than. So we bid it. And it was not just the two of us. That would have been crazy. Crazy. But it was. She auctioned off, like, I think, 18 to 20 guests or something.
Adam Pally
So there were other guests that bid?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes.
Adam Pally
Yeah. All right. So it was a dinner party.
Alicia Cuthbert
So it was a dinner party.
Adam Pally
Okay.
Alicia Cuthbert
There was, like a band, famous people.
Adam Pally
Other famous people. A list.
Alicia Cuthbert
No.
Adam Pally
Great. So no famous people.
Alicia Cuthbert
No, but, like, you know, were you the sex of, like, big companies and, like.
Adam Pally
But you were the most famous.
Alicia Cuthbert
100. No, I'm just kidding. No, no, no. But maybe. I don't know. I was low key. I was just happy to be there.
Adam Pally
Okay.
Alicia Cuthbert
And the food, of course, was, you know, knock your socks off.
Adam Pally
Oh. What she mean, she.
Alicia Cuthbert
Well, we started with, like, Nancy Caesar. Ah, it's. Come on. Come on.
Adam Pally
That is.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yup. It.
John Gabris
Nancy.
Adam Pally
For real. She needs to be. That's like. That's psychotic.
Alicia Cuthbert
I was, like, so crazy, though. Like, I was checking, like, what cutlery does she use?
Adam Pally
Yeah. What was it?
Alicia Cuthbert
Was it from Japan? Of course. Incredible. And then. And then the next course was. Oh, when we got there, too, there was like, you know, the little. The appies were like. Was it hand prosciutto on, like, sticks?
Adam Pally
Oh, my God. I can only imagine.
Alicia Cuthbert
It was so silly. Squ. Like, stuffed with, like.
John Gabris
I'm like, I love those.
Adam Pally
Where you. Where.
Alicia Cuthbert
Where.
John Gabris
Where are you going?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Excuse me, sir, we're not done with you.
Adam Pally
I can see.
John Gabris
Come back.
Adam Pally
Every conversation you have, you move it closer and closer.
Alicia Cuthbert
Servers. I'm like, come here.
Adam Pally
I've been with you. I've been with you. At a social event. She likes to talk by where the servers come in and out.
Alicia Cuthbert
I just. I hang by the door.
John Gabris
Well, you know that, like, stereotype that people are always looking over your shoulder to see if there's someone more famous to talk to at a party? I. I'm doing that. But it's just the cocktail. I'm like. Or dirt.
Alicia Cuthbert
Where's the food? My husband is the same way, by the way, because he's. He's likes food. He actually. Okay, this is actually very funny. So the second course was this, like, bolognese. Like. Like this. And, like, hand done pasta with, like, I don't know what kind of pasta was. It was over my head.
Adam Pally
Yeah, but.
Alicia Cuthbert
But anyway, it was delicious. And Dion has the gall to say, is there any more of that? Can I have another one? And they're like, gladly.
John Gabris
They were Seat wheel gets the.
Alicia Cuthbert
But wait. They loved it.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
They were like. I'm like, this is like sitting at, like, French laundry and being like, can we get a couple more courses?
Adam Pally
Right?
Alicia Cuthbert
Because, like, like, no. Yeah, it's four hours, but you're not getting more courses.
John Gabris
Well, that's also. You could be a rookie move, because then you, like. You don't know how many more layers, how many more rounds are coming out. You don't want to blow it all on the bullet.
Adam Pally
But I've eaten with Dion. It don't matter. He's gonna be okay. He's gonna be okay for.
Alicia Cuthbert
He'll be okay for about five hours.
Adam Pally
Yeah, he gonna be.
Alicia Cuthbert
So he's sitting there, and I'm just like, he did not just ask. Like, on the slide. I'm like, my face is turning a shade of red. And they're like, of course. She'd be glad to. And they come out, and they felt. They were like, this is the last one just for you. And our whole table was like, wait, why didn't. Why didn't we think of that?
Adam Pally
You could have asked for more.
Alicia Cuthbert
So he got two pasta dishes.
Adam Pally
Bolognese.
Alicia Cuthbert
Bolognus.
Adam Pally
That's squeaky. Wheel gets the oil.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, yeah. And then. And then we had, like, a branzino with, like, these beans that she brought in, and she was like, you gotta eat your beans. And I was like, okay, right?
Adam Pally
Listen and answer.
Alicia Cuthbert
Listen.
Adam Pally
Wine pairing.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, yeah. Silver oak. What else did we have? So you're like, we had a little pinot situation. I was trying to cut back on the wine, but I was like, not tonight.
Adam Pally
Not tonight on Nancy's.
Alicia Cuthbert
Not tonight at Nancy's. This is a moment.
John Gabris
I find myself saying that to women all the time. Sorry. It's a little bit of a Pinot situation. Give me a second.
Adam Pally
I'm trying to come back, but we're in Nancy's.
John Gabris
Give me a second. I got a bit of a Pinot situation.
Alicia Cuthbert
Wow, that's so funny. It was so crazy. It was two nights ago, and I was like, gosh, I gotta tell the guys this.
John Gabris
That's awesome.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
John Gabris
Quick aside. I buried the lead here because of who. Who we're talking about. Currently. I met a woman flying to south by Southwest. We were jammed next to each other for the festival. We hit it off. We were friends. She worked at caa, and she's like, we should grab dinner. Me, you, your wife. We can go to my mom's. We go to see my mom at her restaurant. I'm like, oh, that's so cool. We go to Moza, sit at the bar and. And unbeknownst to us, this woman is my friend Vanessa, who is Nancy's daughter.
Adam Pally
Oh my.
John Gabris
But I don't know who Nancy is in this moment. Cause I'm so like not a food. It's so early in my food journey. This woman is just like. I'm like, yo, your mom's the cheese lady at Mozo. That's so cool.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, gosh.
John Gabris
She's like giving us burrata and stuff and she's talking us through it. She's so sweet.
Alicia Cuthbert
She's so down to earth and like.
John Gabris
And then a month later, I'm watching Chef's table and I go her episode. Tiffany.
Adam Pally
Tiffany.
John Gabris
That's the lady.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh my God.
Adam Pally
We gotta get her on the show.
John Gabris
Oh, hell yeah. Royal Caribbean takes next level to another level. Go all in on the world's boldest ships. Filled with mind blowing entertainment. Adam Pally
Wait, so I want to go back to the story because I haven't heard it. What happened with you and Casey? Casey Wilson, former guest of the pod. What happened?
Alicia Cuthbert
Of course. Okay, so when we were filming, Casey was. You know how she likes her musicals.
Adam Pally
Of course.
Alicia Cuthbert
And you know how I don't, right?
Adam Pally
No. Yes. Well, and I will also.
John Gabris
I didn't know that. But your face sells it completely. Alicia.
Adam Pally
Alicia is a guy's girl.
Alicia Cuthbert
Thank you.
Adam Pally
Alicia is a guy's girl.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah. No musical stuff.
Adam Pally
Alicia is a guy's girl.
Alicia Cuthbert
I just sit there and I'm like, can't get into it. I don't know.
Adam Pally
Everybody has their likes and dislikes.
Alicia Cuthbert
I know. And I feel ashamed. I have shame.
Adam Pally
You don't like music.
Alicia Cuthbert
But I'm letting it go as I get older. That's a fact. I don't like me.
Adam Pally
I know that.
Alicia Cuthbert
And Casey is appalled by this. She doesn't sleep at night. Probably because of this.
Adam Pally
We talk about it frequently.
Alicia Cuthbert
There's something wrong with talk about it frequently. But she was so passionate about Glee and like the whole musical thing. Right.
Adam Pally
And it was a big hit at the time.
Alicia Cuthbert
It was a big hit at the time. And I was like, why don't we just go and say hi and see what's going on over there. She's like, we can't. Are you crazy? That's like a lockdown situation. And I'm like, what, like, sets lockdown? Well, that's what she said. She was like. Cause it was like, it was a big deal. And I guess there was, yeah, some weird apprehension about being able to go over there. And I was like, I think you're making this up in your head and you're building it up. I'm like, as soon as we hit lunch, we're going to go. So I drag her over to their set, and I'm like, super confident. And I'm like, case, relax. It's going to be fine.
Adam Pally
We run this town.
Alicia Cuthbert
We run this a lot, okay? Paramount is ours. And we get on set, and we're walking through, like, tunnels, and we start hearing the music, and she's, like, hyperventilating, and I'm like, it's going to be fine. Play it cool.
John Gabris
We're.
Alicia Cuthbert
We're supposed to be here, and, like, two PAs or something stop us and go, who are you? And we're like, oh. I'm like, casey, Alicia, we're on. We're on Happy Endings. We're. We're. We're the show right next to you guys. They're like, yes. So. And I'm like, so. We were coming to say, hi, neighbors, what's up? They're like, get the hell off the set. And we were like, okay. And then Casey's like, I knew this was going to happen. We're never going to be allowed back. And I'm like, oh, whatever. Screw that. We did get kicked out.
Adam Pally
We had.
John Gabris
Chris keyed my car.
Adam Pally
We had beef with.
John Gabris
No.
Adam Pally
We had beef with Glee.
John Gabris
No, you had Gleef.
Adam Pally
We had Gleef. Me and Damon had beef with Glee. Me and Damon had beef with Glee.
Alicia Cuthbert
I was going to say something else because we.
Adam Pally
We were in a night. We had a night shoot early on, and their. Their show was.
Alicia Cuthbert
We had a lot of night shoots.
Adam Pally
We had a light shoot. We had a night shoot early on where. And Glee, our show was, like, struggling along.
Alicia Cuthbert
Like, we were like, yeah, a little engine that could.
Adam Pally
Yeah. But Glee was this enormous hit, and they were also doing a night shoot, and Damon and I were on the back lot, and it was freezing cold, and everyone was miserable, and we're in this giant. We were, like, in a limo, Like, a big limo or something, and two or three of, like, the most famous kids at the time walked through one of them.
Alicia Cuthbert
We won't name names.
Adam Pally
We won't name names. I think one of them's dad walked through the shot in their costume, like, coming back from a studio.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
And you know, Damon did not like that.
Alicia Cuthbert
No. Damon was like, not on my side.
Adam Pally
No, Damon did not like that. And you know when Damon didn't like something in me at that age and under that influence. Yes, you can imagine.
Alicia Cuthbert
Was it Friday night? Is it a Friday night? Of course, yes.
Adam Pally
And I was like, tequila. Oh, yes. And I was. I.
Alicia Cuthbert
Let's go. Tequila.
Adam Pally
I chased those motherfuckers.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, you did.
Adam Pally
Down the. Down that fake background.
Alicia Cuthbert
No, you didn't.
Adam Pally
Screaming, hey, get out of here. This is a TV set.
John Gabris
Yes.
Adam Pally
There's multiple shows.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
You're not the only one here.
Adam Pally
Scree. Come back.
John Gabris
No.
Adam Pally
Now I want you back.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, my gosh.
Adam Pally
And, like, they were running away. They're musical theater kids.
Alicia Cuthbert
I know.
Adam Pally
They were cool.
John Gabris
The kid picks up his fake wheelchair and runs.
Adam Pally
I saw one holding a wheelchair.
Alicia Cuthbert
It was like, oh, my God. We were like. And I think a lot of people on that lot were scared of us.
Adam Pally
They were.
Alicia Cuthbert
They were terrified.
Adam Pally
Especially on a weekend. Oh, Thursday.
Alicia Cuthbert
Especially on a Friday.
Adam Pally
Yeah. Because, like, we were all young.
Alicia Cuthbert
A weekend, by the way, is not Thursday. Friday.
Adam Pally
Well, I was on Friday. It was.
John Gabris
Well, Saturday and Sunday is the weekend when you have to be with your family.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
John Gabris
Thursdays and Fridays.
Alicia Cuthbert
Sundays were recovery for me.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Adam Pally
First of all, not all. We didn't have families. We had. We had.
Alicia Cuthbert
No, I. Like, I was just. Yeah, we had families. None of you were married.
Adam Pally
I had just gotten married.
Alicia Cuthbert
You had just gotten married.
Adam Pally
Casey got married.
Alicia Cuthbert
Casey wasn't even married yet. I was a little ahead.
Adam Pally
Talk about it.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, we are.
Adam Pally
Well, we weren't.
Alicia Cuthbert
Pardon me. Oh, yeah, that's right. Okay. Yeah.
Adam Pally
Remember that big fart? That big farce about Casey and David dating?
Alicia Cuthbert
Everyone, like, we all knew, but no one wanted to speak on it.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
John Gabris
Right.
Adam Pally
Now we see it.
Alicia Cuthbert
But then. Yeah, it was a bit of a faux pas.
Adam Pally
You get to work at, like, 8.
Alicia Cuthbert
I don't see what the big deal
Adam Pally
was becoming of her trailer. Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
Like, disheveled.
Adam Pally
Yeah. You like. Is there a notes session going on?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, I'm like, oh, she's getting, like, her own private.
Adam Pally
Like, he's doing a spin off.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah. What's happening? They got their own show going.
John Gabris
Yeah, they did quite the spin off. Yeah, they did.
Adam Pally
They did three spin offs.
Alicia Cuthbert
They actually did.
Adam Pally
They did three very expensive spin off.
Alicia Cuthbert
That's what they were up to.
Adam Pally
But no, that Lot.
Alicia Cuthbert
Then they went to like Vegas. Remember they went to Vegas? And I was like, wait, you were in Vegas with. With Cass? She was like, let's not talk about it.
Adam Pally
Yeah. You couldn't talk about. We. There was all this like, don't talk about it.
Alicia Cuthbert
But it happened.
Adam Pally
And everybody was just like, why are we doing this?
Alicia Cuthbert
Why are we doing this? Let's just call a spade a spade here.
Adam Pally
And then it's grown ups. And then it's like, the show's getting canceled. Like, oh, man, I'm getting married.
Alicia Cuthbert
We're pregnant.
Adam Pally
We're pregnant.
Alicia Cuthbert
You're like, we have three kids on the way. You're like, hang on.
Adam Pally
Timeline is fuzzed.
John Gabris
Whoa.
Adam Pally
No, but I was gonna say, yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
We didn't have families, so we were crazy. We were raging and young.
Adam Pally
And Friday night especially was like, the writing staff was young.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes.
Adam Pally
And so it became like, push to Friday because we're all going to be there Friday anyway. Right. So Friday nights became parties. And then we had a standing room at the Marriott. What's the bar on that? We had the front. It was the front bar at. With the rocks. It's not a nice hotel now, but it was like a rock star hotel.
Alicia Cuthbert
What hotel are we talking about anyway?
Adam Pally
Sunset Marquee.
Alicia Cuthbert
Sunset Tower. No, I took you there one time when you got kicked out.
John Gabris
Yes, I got kicked out of Sunset Tower.
Alicia Cuthbert
Daniel Craig was pissed at you.
Adam Pally
Yeah. We don't have to tell all these stories.
Alicia Cuthbert
I know.
John Gabris
Well, while we're just.
Adam Pally
We don't have to tell every bad pally story in Hollywood.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, my God.
John Gabris
The day I worked on Happy Endings.
Alicia Cuthbert
Amazing.
John Gabris
You were like, come by my trailer. I got an espresso machine. I'll make you an espresso. I was like, sick. I go into the trailer and Valley's like, you want an espresso? I'm like, sure. He turns around, he has a lid joint in his mouth.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
John Gabris
It is seven in the morning, call time. Lid joint. He's pulling espresso like a weirdo. I was like, this rules. I was like, probably like, I gotta work in tv.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, my God. Hey, man.
Adam Pally
We all have.
Alicia Cuthbert
We all. We all have our. We all have our.
John Gabris
I think you were like, they got me in. In here early. I'm not going up for a while, so.
Adam Pally
Well, it was also. Happy Endings was also like sleepaway camp. Because.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
You would get. The scenes would be so long.
Alicia Cuthbert
We were just together so much.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
And we were together for so much.
John Gabris
Six person scenes.
Alicia Cuthbert
And even, you know, the crazy, like, Thing was, too, is, even at, like, lunchtime, you know, sometimes you get on a set and you're like, you do your work, you go to trailer, you chill. You're not for us. We were like, we were going and watching, like, episodes prior at the theater that was on the lot. We were, like, having lunch together. We were not, like, we just didn't even. Even on the weekends. Like, we would, like, go to Chateau Marmont. We would hang out, we would go to dinner. It would be like we were together all the time.
John Gabris
I think it was.
Alicia Cuthbert
We were tight.
Adam Pally
It was the last of one of those experiences where it was like everyone was the same age.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes. And not responsible.
Adam Pally
Not responsible for a lot of people.
Alicia Cuthbert
Right.
Adam Pally
And. And. And luckily, everyone was a good person.
John Gabris
Yeah, you guys were good.
Alicia Cuthbert
We all might have been crazy in our own little way. Like, everyone had their quirks for sure. Like, yeah.
John Gabris
Time has only shown more and more. Oh, my quirks.
Adam Pally
Yeah. And we've only grown quirkier. But.
Alicia Cuthbert
But we, like.
John Gabris
Yeah, we've gotten a lot up, Shorty.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, we're all getting crazier.
Adam Pally
But speaking of that.
Alicia Cuthbert
But we liked each other in that craziness.
Adam Pally
You were one of my first friends. Adult. You were one of my first, like, adult adult friends who had, like, lived a life like. Like, I was an improv teacher in New York. Didn't really know anything. And then I got to Hollywood and was like, you know, operating 150 miles per hour just trying to be funny all the time.
Alicia Cuthbert
And, yes, you were trying to be funny every second.
Adam Pally
Every second. I was.
Alicia Cuthbert
I was like, take a breath.
Adam Pally
Yes.
Alicia Cuthbert
You don't have to be funny in this very second.
John Gabris
And he really takes that advice hard. He's hardly ever funny anymore, but he
Alicia Cuthbert
was, like, trying so many different things. Like, you were. Yeah, you. He's toned it down. I noticed he's toned it down.
Adam Pally
Both of you need to chill out. But I hate having a Happy Endings cast member on here because instantly, you two bond against me no matter who's in that chair. If they were unhappy ending, he's like, oh, I came on to roast P. Right.
John Gabris
We both have very specific relationships. We've been clapping since you were in your early 20s.
Adam Pally
Yeah, since I was in S. And
Alicia Cuthbert
you may scare other people, but not us, because we know you. Yeah, you do. You're scary to other people. He dies intimidating. He's so intimidating. But I know the real Adam. I know the soft teddy bear. I know the soft teddy bear.
Adam Pally
Like, I know. Oh, you. You're afraid Of Adam. He's a giant pussy. What I was going to ask you is, like, you. Because you were my first adult friend that, like, set me straight as far as, like, this is how you chill out, function as an adult.
Alicia Cuthbert
Right, right, right, right. Yeah.
Adam Pally
You remember the first one that's like, this is all.
Alicia Cuthbert
I tried.
Adam Pally
You did. No. 100% you did. You're like, this is cute. Here's how we're gonna.
Alicia Cuthbert
How we're gonna move forward. I was like a wife.
Adam Pally
You were. No, you were. We used to call you mama.
Alicia Cuthbert
I know. I know.
Adam Pally
We used to call you mama because you really were. You were like. You were like. I.
Alicia Cuthbert
Well, it had the potential to go off the rails.
John Gabris
Of course.
Alicia Cuthbert
Everything I did, I mean, it kind of tipped a little. Yeah, like, every oni. Not just you, though. Every. I mean, I think everybody. Yeah, but I think there was. Coming off of 24, you had just
John Gabris
done a full, like, round more than other people. Like, you had, like, a little bit rolling in a lot of people with their first big thing.
Alicia Cuthbert
Exactly. You had been around, and I had on 24 with. Kiefer was like, as much as he liked to have a great time and obviously enjoy cocktails, he liked. Like, we did.
Adam Pally
Like, we. Yeah, he loved Fridays.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, he loved his Fridays. He was super intense and professional and kept things in line and kept the show moving, and that got things done efficiently. Therefore, we weren't wasting time. So the other thing, too, was like, if we're gonna be five of us here or six of us, like, just constantly being insane, nothing's gonna get done. So it was, like, just trying to. Trying to find a way to find the happy balance, because I was having the best. Best, if not the best time ever I've ever had on a set. So I didn't want to, like, be the poo poo police.
Adam Pally
But you weren't. You were like.
Alicia Cuthbert
Or the downer pants of the show.
Adam Pally
I wouldn't say that. I would not say that you were downer at all.
Alicia Cuthbert
I would say that you were so not nonchalant.
Adam Pally
More of an upper than a.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes, I was nonchalant. I'm not.
John Gabris
You're fully Shalant.
Alicia Cuthbert
I am Shalanting.
John Gabris
This bitch is Shalant.
Adam Pally
You are Timothy Shalant.
Alicia Cuthbert
I am Timothy Chalant.
Adam Pally
You. But you. You have this. You have this, like, word, work, workman like, thing of like, you. You were just very good. Yeah, you were just very good with me and with Casey, too, I think, because Casey and I were like, we're.
Alicia Cuthbert
We're just like finding your.
Adam Pally
Yeah. Finding how to work. Finding out.
Alicia Cuthbert
Finding how to be on. Yeah.
Adam Pally
Like, and work.
Alicia Cuthbert
Because you knew how to do the stuff. You guys were like beyond, like talented. Off the hop. It was I.
Adam Pally
You.
Alicia Cuthbert
What I would say is that in hindsight, you guys brought a confidence out of me because I was so diligent. I was like a little constricted and I was. I was sort of afraid to, like, up, you know?
Adam Pally
Yeah. And you saw me and you're like up all the time.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah. Like, if I could go like fuck wild like that, no one's gonna say anything. Maybe I should chill out a little bit.
Adam Pally
The thing was, people were saying something. We later found out.

But in that in teaching me how to be a person, you also brought exercise into my life because you were very you. You took it seriously at the studio and you had trainer. You were one of the first person trainer. You take a serious. You. You care about this shit.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
What are you doing now to stay alive?
Alicia Cuthbert
You know what? I. I kind of veered away from this sort of gym rat life because I. I don't know, I just didn't find any joy in it anymore. And I ended up in a bold move, which I thought was bold at the time. I was like 39, I guess it was right after I had my son, I was like, I'm gonna start playing tennis.
Adam Pally
Whoa.
John Gabris
And that's social with no previous tennis in your life?
Alicia Cuthbert
Zero.
John Gabris
Oh, that's cool as fuck.
Alicia Cuthbert
Never even hit a tennis ball.
Adam Pally
And I'm gonna guess, just knowing you,
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm a rock star.
Adam Pally
I was gonna say, okay, I'm gonna
Alicia Cuthbert
guess that I win my matches. I'm in the women'. Give it up. West side. West side Women's league. I play doubles. I love it. And I'm super. And, you know, I was never a competitive kid. Like, I was always.
Adam Pally
You're an athlete.
Alicia Cuthbert
I tried.
Adam Pally
You were an athlete. You're good at everything.
Alicia Cuthbert
No, I just. I have good hand eye. Yeah, for sure. But I was. I never had that competitive edge. But I think Dion. Watching Dion, like, play and just his natural. He's not going.
John Gabris
We just saw the most actor slip up ever. Is called your husband's hockey game a performance. You're like, I'm watching him perform. They are performing. But I also used to call. I got roasted for calling rugby practice rehearsal once. I said, we have rehearsal Tuesday night. Someone's like, what do you mean, performance? I was like, that wasn't a performance. Don't say it in front of the guys. That's so. So watching him.
Alicia Cuthbert
And he was like, yeah, watching him and. Because we're not competitive with one another, but he has a competitive personality in that he's like. Was not like how I ever was. But I think it rubbed off on me at some point. And then somewhere down the line in our marriage, I was like, I'm gonna go play tennis. Cause you're playing tennis, and I wanna be. And then I had this epiphany that our kids at one point were gonna get to an age where we'd be on vacation. I had this, like, visual of, like, I don't know, being in somewhere like Hawaii and at a resort. And my husband turns to the kids and goes, let's go play tennis. Come on, guys. And they both go, well, I hope I don't get paired with mom. Do you know what I mean?
Adam Pally
Yes.
Alicia Cuthbert
Because that's a real. Cause my husband's a professional athlete and I don't have any sport on my belt.
Adam Pally
And I'm like, I think that's a mom fear. Regardless. I think that's a deep seated. Not just mom. I think it's a parental fear.
John Gabris
Regardless.
Adam Pally
Is like. Like, I feel that way a lot.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm like, really?
Adam Pally
Yeah. Because I'm like, Danielle has so much to offer them, you know?
John Gabris
And, like.
Adam Pally
And I think all parents feel this insecurity towards the other. Towards the other parent, where it's like, I just want to be as proficient as things as Daniella so that they don't feel like they have to choose.
John Gabris
They're like, can I just go with mom? Yeah, can mom just take me?
Adam Pally
And I've had that recently.
Alicia Cuthbert
Right. It's hurtful. It's gutting.
Adam Pally
I've been doing more, like, stuff, and I. I took Gigi to two volleyball tournaments in a row. One was in Boston, one was in
John Gabris
Atlantic City, and Atlantic City volleyball tournaments. Too tempting.
Adam Pally
Dude, I was so good. I was so good. I didn't even. I, I.
Alicia Cuthbert
You didn't do any.
John Gabris
That's. Sweetheart, any games you gotta. You can get. You own your ride back to the hotel, Right? Okay.
Adam Pally
Any gambling? I. I stayed in Borgata, but I didn't do any gambling. I didn't stay where she was staying. I was like, I'm gonna stay on this, but I didn't do any gambling.
Alicia Cuthbert
You're like.
Adam Pally
But I was like, I'll meet you there. The games. I'm not staying here. But I was there for her, like, every morning. And it. Those volleyball tournaments are intense. You're there at, like, six in the morning bringing her bagels. Getting. Getting your bagel. Yeah, I had her. I had her order ready. I was, like, getting it done, and I thought I did, like, a really good job. And I was kind of panicked that I was going to do a bad job. And I think I did do a good job. But then. But then we got in the car and we're driving home, and I was like, so that. And she's like, it was all right. I wish mom was here. And you're like,
John Gabris
that doesn't mean I wish dad wasn't.
Adam Pally
No.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
But it's the same.
Alicia Cuthbert
But it goes back to feeling like, I don't want you get picked second.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Adam Pally
I don't want to be.
Alicia Cuthbert
I don't want to be picked second. Yeah. So I was like, I don't want to be left. And I also don't want to be left out of these things. I want to be included. So that propelled me to try to be better. And I'll tell you what. But tennis is something that I do that's, like, super fun. And I don't think about it as, like, a health thing in the moment. I'm thinking about it as, like, this is, like, the best way to spend the two hours that I have you know, and just go for it. And then afterwards. And then I just started noticing my body changing and my arms got stronger, and it was doing all the things that were helping me in the gym. It just was like. Cause you're running and you're lunging and you're squatting and you're hitting and you're.
John Gabris
It's a little easier to get. Get motivated to. To not lose than it is to, like, I hope I do a full minute on the plank.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, yeah. Looking at a time clock. Right. I don't even think about the time.
John Gabris
I used to say, like, I don't like to run unless I have a ball or I'm chasing someone with a ball. It's like. Like exercise feels dumb sometimes compared to sport.
Adam Pally
And how long did it take before you were kicking the shit out of Dion on the court?
Alicia Cuthbert
Well, I. I still can't kick the shit out of.
Adam Pally
He good.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, it's really.
Adam Pally
Usually hockey players have tennis. Like, tennis and baseball don't translate to hockey because of the. The angle. Like, I could imagine. Golf is.
Alicia Cuthbert
He's great at golf. Yeah. Well, he has his good days and bad days. You'd have to ask him. But I. I think he's. He's a good golfer. Yes, he is.
John Gabris
But. Yeah, hockey and tennis both have, like, the kind of lateral movement.
Adam Pally
Yeah, but tenant. But tennis is, like.
Alicia Cuthbert
He was great at baseball, too, when he was younger. I think when you're an athlete.
John Gabris
Yeah. If you're. If you dominate, if you play professional, anything, you're pro. You can probably.
Alicia Cuthbert
Probably can.
John Gabris
Rising tide raises all. You could be like, surprise, surprise.
Alicia Cuthbert
You'd be surprised with his size. Like, he's very quick.
Adam Pally
So you play doubles?
Alicia Cuthbert
We play doubles. I've yet to beat him ever, in any kind of. Yeah.
Adam Pally
Have you played any other celebrity couples Now?
Alicia Cuthbert
I'd love to, though.
Adam Pally
I know a couple of celebrity. Casey and David are taking tennis lessons.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, good.
Adam Pally
You should challenge them.
Alicia Cuthbert
I would love that.
Adam Pally
I would love to see them get the show.
John Gabris
Man, I would pay for a ticket to that.
Adam Pally
I would watch that. You know what? We should.
Alicia Cuthbert
And you know what? She's got a sp.
John Gabris
I just sit with the.
Alicia Cuthbert
She's got a spot in the desert. And so do I. Yes, we got it. We should have a desert.
Adam Pally
We should have a Coachella next year at Coachella.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes.
Adam Pally
We should sell tickets.
John Gabris
Tennis cellos.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah. Cusp. Yeah. Cuthbert Wilson.
Adam Pally
Cuthbert Wilson.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes. Yeah.
John Gabris
Cuff Wilson. Sounds like a financial firm that you, like, apply for.
Adam Pally
And I get to pick the uniforms.
Alicia Cuthbert
Uh. Oh, make it cute, pally, cute.
John Gabris
You don't worry.
Adam Pally
You don't worry. We got the perfect idea for Casey.
John Gabris
David also has to wear the short skirt.
Alicia Cuthbert
David and Casey something.
Adam Pally
David and Casey's are going to be switched and David's going to be in like, like a short skirt. Oh my God.
John Gabris
That's so fun to find something that late that you enjoy.
Alicia Cuthbert
And I will tell people that are like listening that tennis is something you can pick up and if you have like any kind of coordination, yeah, you can get better at it. And it's not impossible. It was just, it was shocking to me that within a year after playing like cardio tennis, live ball, just working on my swing, I think I took about five lessons just to make sure I had, you know, good form and then just was hitting with. And I met your serve. Serve is great.
Adam Pally
Really, because the serve, the serve is. I always felt confident, but the serve throw is where I.
Alicia Cuthbert
It wobbles.
Adam Pally
It just doesn't wobble. It's just the whole.
Alicia Cuthbert
Don't lose your hand. Like when you go to toss it, keep your hand up. Don't drop your hand.
Adam Pally
Yeah, I guess that's a good.
Alicia Cuthbert
Because that's what keeps it, you know.
Adam Pally
And then, and then with your racket,
Alicia Cuthbert
just whack it hard.
Adam Pally
What else am I gonna do?
John Gabris
I don't know anything else.
Alicia Cuthbert
That's all I know.
Adam Pally
I tried one time to do it soft. I ended up in a hospital.
John Gabris
By the way, I just have an idea for a movie about people who find tennis in their Middle Ages. 45 low.
Adam Pally
Look at that.
John Gabris
45 low. Come on.
Adam Pally
Option. Option. Let's go. Option. Call carabino. Call carabino.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes. I love it.
Adam Pally
That's a good idea.
John Gabris
That's actually because I do think that
Adam Pally
tennis is having a moment in New York right now. It was pickleball for a while and then New York was the first city that I'd seen that was like pickleball is like yuppified.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Adam Pally
It's really tennis. And like the US Open last year was packed.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh yeah.
Adam Pally
And they built all.
Alicia Cuthbert
I love that tournament.
Adam Pally
They built all these like little activations in the city that they kept up all year and are now. Cuz the weather just got nice packed.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh yeah.
John Gabris
I didn't want to cause beef online, but I was going to say like, I'm so happy it's tennis, not pickle ball. Because pickle ball is just a, a hop skipping away from cornhole.
Adam Pally
Yes.
John Gabris
You know what I mean? And then like and tennis and ping pong and tennis Is like sport. You know what I mean?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
John Gabris
In a fun way.
Adam Pally
I mean.
John Gabris
Yes, pickleball is.
Alicia Cuthbert
I love pickleball too. I, I, I will play like with my mother in law. I'll play, I'll play pickle anytime as well. But I get a better, I feel like I get a harder workout when I play tennis. Obviously.
Adam Pally
What's a court situation like where you're playing? Is it grass? Is it.
Alicia Cuthbert
I've never, I've never played grass just because I, there's some grass courts were at a, at a club that I'm a member at, but they're, it's dangerous because they're, they, they're slippery.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
And we don't need to get hurt.
Adam Pally
No. Okay. So we're still.
Alicia Cuthbert
But we're do. But I love clay. I love clay and I, Clay's great and better on my joint.
Adam Pally
Yes, clay's good. No, no.
John Gabris
This is what this podcast is.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, sorry.
Adam Pally
That's what this podcast is like.
Alicia Cuthbert
But like, yeah, Joyce, we need to play is great for if you're having some knee pain. But hardcore is what I, my, my league that like where I play, we play hardcore.
Adam Pally
Is the league ranked.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
John Gabris
Where are you, man? Hard court sounds so close to hardcore. It's awesome.
Adam Pally
Hardcore tennis, it's hardcore.
John Gabris
I play hard court.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
John Gabris
When I'm out there, it's hardcore. I'm hardcore about it on clay.
Adam Pally
Where are you Ran you ranked like in the.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'd have to go online and check right now, but I don't know where I'm at right now.
Adam Pally
That means it's high. You're embarrassed.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, I know what I'm saying. I don't want people creeping either.
Adam Pally
Creeping myself for. I mean, you have a different name, you know, Daniel, he said different. I don't need people creeping. So Danielle the other day was like, can I use your, your Peloton account? Cuz mine's like not. I can't log in or something. And I was like, yeah, go ahead. So she went on and she was like, like you get in a massive amount of like people talking to you. People talking you on peloton. And I was like, I know, it's so weird. And she's like, well, your name is Adam Pally. Rip.
Alicia Cuthbert
Rip.
Adam Pally
Which is like. I was like, yeah. It's funny because it's like when I'm on it, I'm dying. And she's like, yeah, but it's your name.
John Gabris
Yeah. So people know, people know who you are or you're a specific type of or Serial killer. I just want to kill one guy.
Adam Pally
Yeah. I was like, oh, I got to change that name. She's like, yeah, you do. People were saying some up.
John Gabris
Yeah. And also you got to be careful because you're your only fan subscriber. Name is Adam Pally. Rip.
Adam Pally
That's my account.
John Gabris
Yeah. You want to. You want to switch?
Adam Pally
Well, the. The reason people are paying for my videos is that I almost kill myself.
John Gabris
You're a gas. I'm doing a lot of auto erotic.
Adam Pally
Single handedly funding the New York lemon market. Got to keep that lemon close if you're going to auto erotic.
Alicia Cuthbert
Auto erotic.
Adam Pally
I keep that lemon close. Boy.
John Gabris
Why he's auto erotic. It's Greased Lightning.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, my God. What is happening? What is going on?
John Gabris
I did not.
Alicia Cuthbert
This all took a turn.

We did my 4:20 show last night. So we were like blasting superpowered joints all night long and my brain is not back to normal.
Adam Pally
Yeah, mine feels fine.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm still high off that Nancy Caesar.
Adam Pally
Oh man. We just had the head writer of the Simpsons was in here earlier and he was. He's the first person to take me to a Nancy Silverton restaurant.
Alicia Cuthbert
No way.
Adam Pally
And. And I told him, like, I remember that night being, like, almost emotional and being like, thank.
Alicia Cuthbert
Did you talk about that?
Adam Pally
Yeah, I said.
Alicia Cuthbert
And then I come in with that.
Adam Pally
I know.
John Gabris
We literally talked about cheese.
Alicia Cuthbert
Is that funny how that happens?
Adam Pally
I don't know. Just like, have you gone. He just. He just asked us.
Alicia Cuthbert
But the steakhouse or.
Adam Pally
No, the. The.
John Gabris
That's what you were talking about. Chispaka, though.
Adam Pally
No, but he was. He. But isn't. Isn't she behind Max and Helen's.
John Gabris
She's part of Max and Helens with Phil.
Adam Pally
Have you done that yet?
Alicia Cuthbert
No, I haven't. Haven't.
Adam Pally
I'm too scared. It looks too. It looks like there's going to be too many people there with cameras and phones that are, like, filming their.
Alicia Cuthbert
That's like Coachella. Yeah, it's Coachella, which I just got back.
Adam Pally
Well, you went this year.
Alicia Cuthbert
I went the first weekend.
Adam Pally
You are the Coachella.
Alicia Cuthbert
No, I'm not. Here's the thing. Here's the thing.
Adam Pally
Alicia does not miss a Coachella.
Alicia Cuthbert
I will. I. But every year I'm like, never again.
Adam Pally
What brought you this year? Beeps.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
John Gabris
I love that performance. I love that.
Alicia Cuthbert
It was funny, though, because it was. It was great. But when you were there in the mo. But it was also weekend one, weekend two, I think was like, another level of good.
Adam Pally
I never know how to. How to.
Alicia Cuthbert
But at home and different than a. You know, there.
Adam Pally
How to gauge it when there's two weekends. Because it's like, you want to be at the first weekend so that you see it for the first time.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
But then you're like.
Alicia Cuthbert
Then I realized I think they get it under.
Adam Pally
Are they better the second?
Alicia Cuthbert
I think they are. And I think, well, yeah.
John Gabris
Better hammer out a few, like, tweets. Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
See what works, what doesn't. So I think. I think you're better off if you're gonna, like, debate whether to do one or two.
Adam Pally
I would do two, but you went for Biebs and. Did you.
Alicia Cuthbert
I went for beef.
Adam Pally
Sabrina.
Alicia Cuthbert
I did see Sabrina. She was. She not on week one.
John Gabris
Oh, yeah.
Adam Pally
They see song played like a prayer.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, I know.
John Gabris
I saw that song.
Alicia Cuthbert
But I. I will say I think I'm at a point where I could just easily stay at home and stream it and enjoy my night.
Adam Pally
A lot of.
Alicia Cuthbert
You know. That's right.
John Gabris
It is pretty great on
Alicia Cuthbert
staying five, though. Young people today. Can we just.
Adam Pally
Yes. Did you know Cuthbert does stand up.
Alicia Cuthbert
I like Jerry Seinfeld.
Adam Pally
What else?
John Gabris
What else?
Alicia Cuthbert
Here's the deal.
Adam Pally
I feel like America is getting used to this rhythm right now that I've been used to for the last 20 years. Yes. Tell me what you feel about young
Alicia Cuthbert
people, with young people. They're beautiful now.
John Gabris
Yes, I know.
Alicia Cuthbert
It's making me a serious subject. No, they're.
Adam Pally
They're so gorgeous.
Alicia Cuthbert
And by the way, they're taller.
John Gabris
I'm sorry.
Alicia Cuthbert
They're bigger.
John Gabris
I'm stronger. I went to a concert where people were young, and I, I. I'm. I'm six two. I'm usually fine.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
John Gabris
These young people are getting, like, healthy food or something like that.
Alicia Cuthbert
I think it has something to do with social media and the expectation to look perfect and great. Everyone is so fit.
John Gabris
We weren't raised in a photo. Could be taken any minute and aired everywhere.
Alicia Cuthbert
Never seen 100,000 people look so good.
John Gabris
Right.
Alicia Cuthbert
I would.
John Gabris
Was.
Alicia Cuthbert
I was baffled. I was. Everywhere I looked. It was gorgeous. People everywhere.
Adam Pally
I want to show you a video,
Alicia Cuthbert
and we're talking about an outdoor festival. We should be looking, like, bad.
Adam Pally
I want to show you.
Alicia Cuthbert
We should be looking rough.
John Gabris
Yeah, you should have, like, bandana tied around your face.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
John Gabris
We should be trying to hide dust and molly.
Alicia Cuthbert
People were with no shirts.
Adam Pally
Cuthbert.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes?
Adam Pally
This is a video of Gigi.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, no.
Adam Pally
Okay. You remember Gigi last time you saw her?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah. I'm scared her.
Adam Pally
She's a woman. Woman, woman.
Alicia Cuthbert
Hard to handle.
John Gabris
She is going to be taller than you.
Adam Pally
Oh, yeah, She's.
Alicia Cuthbert
That's hard to 5 4. It's hard to take in.
Adam Pally
Yeah, she's 5 4. She's a mon.
Ad Read 3
She was.
Alicia Cuthbert
She was a nugget.
Adam Pally
A nugget. She's 54 and she's like. You say like, beautiful and beautiful in that way and fit. Because, like, everything is like that.
Alicia Cuthbert
It's why I was like.
Adam Pally
I know, but who were you in a house with contemporaries of ours, or were you in a house with younger Coachellas?
Alicia Cuthbert
What do you mean in a house?
Adam Pally
Like, where are you staying?
Alicia Cuthbert
Where was I staying for Coachella? I was staying at my home that I have there. I was not staying people with you.
Adam Pally
I don't mean. I was not gonna say.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm like. I wasn't. I thought you meant I was, like, tenting it.
Adam Pally
No, of course, Cuthbert. I know you, Cuthbert. I know you're not.
John Gabris
I sleeping in my 88 Subaru Outback.
Alicia Cuthbert
I mean, my dad would be out if I was.
Adam Pally
Was Jenny with you?
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh. Oh. Who were.
John Gabris
Who was. Who was Jenny there?
Alicia Cuthbert
Who was I rolling with?
Adam Pally
Yeah, was Jenny. Jenny's her best friend.
Alicia Cuthbert
Jenny was There.
Adam Pally
Jenny was there. Okay.
Alicia Cuthbert
My sister was there.
Adam Pally
Oh, your sister was there.
Alicia Cuthbert
You love my sis.
Adam Pally
I love your sister.
Alicia Cuthbert
Stop. She's gonna be like, talk about me. She will now. She will now.
John Gabris
When you guys were at Coachella, seeing all those huge performances, did your sister bring me up at all?
Adam Pally
Did you.
Alicia Cuthbert
She's like, how's Adam?
Adam Pally
Did you tell her that you were coming see me?
Alicia Cuthbert
I did not.
Adam Pally
Can you tell her on the way home, I'm gonna.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm gonna have a full breakdown for her. She's gonna be like, what? You talked about me.
Adam Pally
Can you tell her that I lost some weight?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes. I be like, he looks like Post Malone now.
John Gabris
Yeah. What do you.
Adam Pally
Don't. Don't use that Post Malone Jean. Well, his face is covered in tattoos.
John Gabris
He's like, transitioning to. From hip hop to country or something.
Adam Pally
Oh, yeah. No, but I will.
Alicia Cuthbert
But speaking on that, too, with Coachella, I actually. And this might be controversial, I thought the men's style was better than the women's style. Well, because I didn't. I just noticed a shift in how cool. I never really noticed guys style before that way. But at Coachella, I was like, the pants are on point. The. There was more thought that I had ever seen before in my life.
John Gabris
I never do that. I never did that anyway. But, like, if you put me at a festival, I'm like. I have to think comfort.
Adam Pally
And like, I was just gonna say festivals are all about survival. Survival to me.
John Gabris
Yeah.
Adam Pally
So the idea that it was styled,
Alicia Cuthbert
stylized, it was style.
Adam Pally
But I think Coachella is also quite Hollywood in a sense. I mean, I've never been. But from the. From streaming weekend one on at home, it looked like if you were someone who could afford to be there in a way that you wanted to be there.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
You could dip in and out. Right. You know, like, it seemed like there was a lot of backstage area.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
Like vip, you know?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
It didn't seem for nobody's in trainers,
John Gabris
which I find crazy because I lost my feet. All you were you.
Adam Pally
Were you Nikes?
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, I was wearing dunks all day. But I'm also. I don't need it. I'm not there to like.
Adam Pally
Yeah, you're.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm there to be, like you said, practical, comfortable.
Adam Pally
Did you go to the rock tent at all the rock where, like, Jack White was.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, no, no, I missed that. I missed that because.
Adam Pally
Are you into geese?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, I love.
Adam Pally
I knew you'd be in the east,
Alicia Cuthbert
but you know who I did see? A Bieber. Who I was like, McGee. I was like, really? He was the last thing I was hoping and hoping, hoping, and he was there.
Adam Pally
I really like that new rock music. Music. Yeah, it's like, new. It's like. I feel like that's what would be coming out of our. Our trailer section now.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, definitely.
Adam Pally
Like, that kind of like, I'd be
Alicia Cuthbert
like, probably like that new Florence album. There's like, one song, buddy. Scream Buckle.
Adam Pally
Yeah. I feel like I would be playing the Dijon album, like, very loud.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, yeah. Me and Mickey would just be like, yes.
Adam Pally
Like, that's what the vibe. The vibe would be. Because the vibe would be similar.
Alicia Cuthbert
But we were cool. Yeah, we had. We were.
Adam Pally
We were cool.
Alicia Cuthbert
We still are. Because clearly we still know who all these.
John Gabris
Do you guys like turn style? I like.
Adam Pally
I love turn styles. Do you like wet leg?
John Gabris
I love wetland.
Adam Pally
Wet leg.
John Gabris
Wet leg. Wet leg. I feel crazy because it makes me, like, horny Cuthbert. Like, it's crazy. Like, they're beautiful women singing. Like, one of the lyrics is like, I bet you want to. Me. Yeah, most people do. That's, like, so hard.
Adam Pally
You'll. You'll get this record, and then you will have a black and white Richard Avedon picture of this woman in your house.
Alicia Cuthbert
That's okay.
Adam Pally
She's the type of rock star that you will love.
Alicia Cuthbert
This is great.
John Gabris
Rips. Wet, like, rips.
Adam Pally
You still have all that cool art?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, I got more now.
Adam Pally
Really?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, of course. Always adding to the Cuthbert's art is to the collection.
Adam Pally
She's a rock.
John Gabris
How tennis have you gone, like, household as you get. You have, like, more and more tennis coming up. Like. Like, are you. Yeah, you're getting, like, black and white.
Alicia Cuthbert
I actually don't have any tennis.
Adam Pally
Oh, you need a picture like, Mac and Row and Patty Smith or something. Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
Something cool like that. Tennis vibes.
Adam Pally
And. And is Dion adjusting to post athlete life life in the way where, like, some athletes end their career and then, like, you know, go off the wall? Yes. Or some athletes.
Alicia Cuthbert
No. He's gotten, like, super into work and other aspects of his life. Like, it's been phenomenal to see him sort of rebrand himself in a way. And then I always knew he was great with, like, business and, like, people skills and numbers, and his brain just works that way, unlike mine. I mean, it was funny. He wanted to. When we. He first got traded to the Kings and then a couple years later ended up retiring, he was like, I think I'm gonna join Bel Air Country Club. And I'm like, what? I'm like, there's like, how are you gonna do that? You have to know, like, six people.
Adam Pally
You have five referrals.
Alicia Cuthbert
And by the way, this was, like, during COVID and I was like, there's no. You don't know anyone in the city. How are you gonna. Literally, like, five months later, he was a member. I was like, wow. He just has that thing where he knows how to do that work a room, and he's great with people, and so he's sort of pivoted and now in business and works for aeg.
Adam Pally
And does he get along with your agents?
Alicia Cuthbert
He doesn't really know them that well.
Adam Pally
That's a good thing.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, he doesn't really.
John Gabris
He's not asking for intros.
Adam Pally
That's.
Alicia Cuthbert
No, no, no, no.
Adam Pally
I don't want to introduce him to that side.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah. Yeah, he's. Yeah, he's in a totally different.
Adam Pally
So, speaking of young people.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
Are you. You're around a lot.
Alicia Cuthbert
Thanks.
Adam Pally
You're allowed. Speaking of young people.
Alicia Cuthbert
Not me.
Adam Pally
Your sister.
Alicia Cuthbert
Your sister.
Adam Pally
Your new show.
Alicia Cuthbert
My new. Oh, my God. The kids on this show.
Adam Pally
How do you feel? First of all, do they ask?
Alicia Cuthbert
They're delicious.
Adam Pally
They ask about me. No, that's okay. Tell me.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm gonna. I'll show them some Happy Endings clips, though. They'll like that.
Adam Pally
How do you.
John Gabris
It's crazy finding out you were. They called you Mama Bear on Happy
Alicia Cuthbert
Endings and then becoming a real mama bear now. I'm actually a mama now.
John Gabris
You're an actual mama. But also playing one.
Alicia Cuthbert
And I'm also playing one, which is really crazy. And, like, my sons on the show are older and, you know, it seems. But. But in all honesty, when you see the show, you'll understand. She's. She was. Had the kids early, and so she's super young and, you know, vibrant and fun.
John Gabris
That was a rewrite you demanded, right?
Alicia Cuthbert
No, I read it. I was like. They were like, you want to play the mom? I'm like, absolutely not.
John Gabris
And then they're like, this is strange.
Adam Pally
They want me to go back to high school.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm like, I guess I'll do it.
Adam Pally
I always wanted to be a cheerleader.
Alicia Cuthbert
I love you. For the lead.
John Gabris
I guess I could play Paige. No, you're here for Paige's mom.
Alicia Cuthbert
I was like, damn.
Adam Pally
But what's it like being. What's it like being like for. To them?
Alicia Cuthbert
I know. Well, they're very. It's funny. Their vibe is. They're so chill and relaxed, and they don't seem phased like this generation. They seem so confident, very nonchalant. You know where I was like, and you're shalom. And I was shalom saying my whole career.
Adam Pally
Or they're not late.
Alicia Cuthbert
They're like, no, no, no, no, they're not late. But they're just. They're. They're super, you know, know, quiet and calm and have their shit together and. And they're all stunning. Like, it's just. They. They make my heart, you know what? Swell.
Adam Pally
I look at my daughter and my son, who's also like, you know, a beefcake, and I'm just like, what is it about them that. Why are they so much hotter than I was?
Alicia Cuthbert
But I guess maybe an older generation with us was thinking the same thing.
John Gabris
100%. Your parents are thinking that about you?
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, they were thinking the same thing, I guess. Yeah.
Adam Pally
But I think it's also. Yes, but I have the.
John Gabris
And, like, older. Older guest stars would come on and be like, look at all these young, beautiful people. You know what I mean? It's like all the same shit.
Alicia Cuthbert
And I also just like, fantasize. They make me. My heart so warm because when I watch them, I remember being at. So that just brings me the nostalgia of that of, like, wow, I was there. And this is such a great time in their life. And I'm like, oh, just soak up every single second of this. And I hope they enjoy, you know, and they'll.
Adam Pally
June. That's 11th.
Alicia Cuthbert
June 10th.
Adam Pally
June 10th.
Alicia Cuthbert
June the 10th. Amazon Prime.
John Gabris
June 10th. All episodes ready to bing.
Alicia Cuthbert
All episodes ready to go. And it's called Every Year After. It's based on a novel called Every Summer After. We change it to Every Year after because, you know, hopefully we. It's not just a summer. It's many years.
John Gabris
Global warming.
Adam Pally
It's like seasons are becoming.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yes. Seasons are all just.
John Gabris
I would call out, that's such a great headspace to be in. Because I find myself being in this industry, you're friends with people who are 20 years older and 20 years younger, or you collaborate. And so, like, all of a sudden you're. You're like. And I have over. Originally, young people would kind of give you a little bit of anxiety of like, oh, shit. Like, because you make it about yourself, then eventually you get to a point where you're like, it's fun to be around young people. It is.
Alicia Cuthbert
See, that's what I feel like. I don't ever want to be bitter and be like, oh, I used to be like that. I'm like. When I see them, I just like my. I Get like my face lights up. I'm just. I feel like I watch them in awe. I think they're so gorgeous.
John Gabris
Whatever the non negative. Like, I feel like a vampiric energy, like, you know what I mean? Like, it's not maliciously, but I'm like, I'm being inspired by being around like a 27 year old who's like, trying hard and has like a new perspective on everything around them than I do.
Alicia Cuthbert
And they were so sweet to me too. They were excited to meet me. Yeah. Which was really nice.
Adam Pally
I do think that's a testament to you though, as well. Alicia is like, you are a non. You are one of the best cast members to have. You are non judgmental. You are. You are easy, you are thoughtful. And like, when you don't know what you're doing, like, I remember first. My first couple days with you, it's like when you don't know what you're doing and then you see someone who has such a command of what. Of how to be. It's like natural leadership, you know, in a way. And you really do do that.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah. And I want Sadie, who are our lead. She, you know, I want her to have a great experience. And sometimes it can be difficult when you're the lead of a show and all the pressure's on you. And so, you know, navigating different personalities on set.
Adam Pally
Well, that's the other thing I would say.
Alicia Cuthbert
And I just said, here's things to sweat and here's things not to sweat.
John Gabris
You are.
Adam Pally
And now we've all worked decades with each other and without each other.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah.
Adam Pally
You are the least fussy actor I've ever worked with. Genderless.
Alicia Cuthbert
Genderless.
Adam Pally
You are the least joy. You are the biggest joy to have on a set of any actor I've ever worked with.
Alicia Cuthbert
And I don't really get to. I mean, unless things are going awry, I'm pretty. Yeah.
Adam Pally
No, I've never. But it's not just chill. It's like the. A movie is better for having you.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh, my gosh.
Adam Pally
I think any movie is better for having you.
Alicia Cuthbert
That's so nice.
Adam Pally
And we were better for having you.
John Gabris
That's why we edited you into goodfellas.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
John Gabris
Take a look.
Adam Pally
That's why. That's why. You don't know this, but I've put you into my new film.
John Gabris
It's all AI.
Adam Pally
No, I did write yours. How close are you on that Philadelphia accent? Are you getting there?
Alicia Cuthbert
Well, I never heard. I was like, did it. Did someone else.
Adam Pally
No, no, no.
Alicia Cuthbert
It's still happening.
Adam Pally
We're just setting it up. So.
Alicia Cuthbert
Yeah, yeah, I'll start working on it.
Adam Pally
We did yesterday. We had our meeting and there's. We're like going through the characters and the. It's just so funny to be like naming character and then holding up a giant face of your face over my face. At least we wrote a part for at least in our show.
John Gabris
Show.
Alicia Cuthbert
It's so great.
Adam Pally
You gotta learn this Phillip accent's heart.
Alicia Cuthbert
I know. I was kind of.
Adam Pally
You go get it.
Alicia Cuthbert
I was searching and I was like, oo. It's a thing.
Adam Pally
It's a thing.
John Gabris
It's disgusting.
Adam Pally
Yeah.
Alicia Cuthbert
Why does it have to be? Why do we have to have a Philly access?
Adam Pally
I mean, if you say no, we're still gonna have you.
Alicia Cuthbert
But give me some other easy rule.
Adam Pally
Yeah, no, we'll just rewrite it.
John Gabris
But just dub it like it's a
Alicia Cuthbert
good to push myself.
Adam Pally
It would be funny if you could do it.
John Gabris
It's a method sitcom.
Alicia Cuthbert
I know.
John Gabris
I kind of can't.
Alicia Cuthbert
I just like go and hone it in like. No, I gotta Philly accent. Thanks, P. It would be funny if I gotta work for the money now.
Adam Pally
Jackie is like, hey, we're having a little cuthbert problem. She won't stop the Philly accent.
Alicia Cuthbert
She won't get out of it. Dion's like, Adam, she's coming home.
Adam Pally
She's coming home early. Boys.
Alicia Cuthbert
Daniel Day Lewis vibes.
Adam Pally
Thank you, Kat.
Alicia Cuthbert
Oh my God. Thank you so much for coming on.
John Gabris
Awesome.
Adam Pally
Awesome.
John Gabris
That was fun. I really liked her talking about setting you straight when you started out on Happy Endings. I do. Like, I liked her. That there was a moment I just saw a little big sister, little brother moment.
Adam Pally
There she is, my completely. She. But. But. But the thing that. That I. She's yelled at. She's yelled at me in ways that I've never been yelled at before. She's talked to me in ways that no one else in the world has ever talked to me. Danielle included. Whoa. Like for real?
John Gabris
Cuz Danielle. Danielle has hit the spectrum on you.
Adam Pally
Talk me every which way. Alicia has talked to me in a different tone. Yeah, yeah. And it's. But it's never her meme. It's always like constructive. Constructive. Because I also think like, she was saying she got a lot from me. She's one of those other people in my life who values me very highly. Yeah. And. And that makes me feel good.
John Gabris
Oh, of course.
Adam Pally
You know what I mean? You have someone who's like. Like, she makes me better and she feels like I make her better. And that's someone.
John Gabris
That's a great dynamic in your life. You know, that's amazing on. On at work, on screen and off. That's like something you'd love in a person.
Adam Pally
Exactly. And, and we haven other in over 15 years, so it's like the fact that we still feel that way about each other and, and do hang out and debaucherously still quite a bit is one of the. Like, she's so fun and you know
John Gabris
I'm gonna be a huge fan of getting into something new when you're a grown up. Like, that's like all I give a shit about is adult learning this and hearing that she got into tennis just a couple years ago and as using it as her fitness. Like, that's, that's such a. That's, that's not a real angle. We've heard from someone on our guest and like a lot of people are gyms or cardio people or whatever.
Adam Pally
And when I met her, she, she was the one that was like, you have to work out, pal. Like, and she, she was a workhorse. She had trainers. They would come to the set, they would work in the Paramount gym. Like she took it seriously at before work, you know. But like the fact that she's getting that now and she's a mom of two young kids and her with a, With a, a, a, A celebrity husband
John Gabris
and like getting dinners with Nancy Silver
Adam Pally
in his house, you would never. She doesn't make you feel that at all?
John Gabris
No, no.
Adam Pally
You know, it's like. And it's, it's, It's a. It's a really good quality.
John Gabris
We should play them in tennis. You and I should enter the doubles tournament together.
Adam Pally
I played a little. I don't. Have you ever played?
John Gabris
I played, but not in a long time.
Adam Pally
Yeah, not in a while. Yeah, but. But that's such man where I'm like, I could keep up.
John Gabris
I'm still pretty.
Adam Pally
I'm still pretty good.
John Gabris
I could beat Serene.
Adam Pally
Cut to me being like him. Hear me, hear me, hear me, hear me. 91 1. Hear me.
John Gabris
Taking the ball directly in the nuts and fucking being out for like four hours. Just heavy breathing.
Adam Pally
This is also on the side injured and her and Dion just paddling back and forth over the net, looking at us.
John Gabris
And we like. We lost $1,000 because we thought we would easily smoke them.
Adam Pally
And Dion takes it.
John Gabris
Yeah. He's like, that's 500 each, guys. Here's my vent.
Adam Pally
Mom. He would.
John Gabris
We deserve it.
Adam Pally
He would. He's not reaching for that check. Stay alive on Alicia's too.

See us on the street. Walk the other way or you'll catch hands.
Alicia Cuthbert
But she brought these beans in from like Italy or something. Like a bean that I've never had before.
Adam Pally
Like a garbanzo.
Alicia Cuthbert
I mean at like 43 years old and never had the recipe to see the beans that she has the beans.
Adam Pally
Beans on her, the beans.
Alicia Cuthbert
How dare she with these beans this
John Gabris
broad and a beans.
Alicia Cuthbert
I'm telling you, Smart glass.

Episode: #Brocountability™ (w/ Elisha Cuthbert)
Date: June 11, 2026
Podcast Network: SmartLess Media
Guest: Elisha Cuthbert
In this lively and candid episode, comedians Jon Gabrus and Adam Pally welcome their longtime friend and actress Elisha Cuthbert. The trio dives deep into the theme of “brocountability”—the playful but real concept of friends holding each other accountable on their health journeys. Elisha offers reflections on her health evolution post-Hollywood party days, picking up tennis in her late 30s, motherhood, and maintaining camaraderie and humility as her life and career change. Along the way, the conversation is packed with hilarious stories from their shared past (notably “Happy Endings” and wild industry days), insights about aging within the entertainment business, and the sheer joys and challenges of growing up (but not too much).
Fitness Motivation through "Brocountability"
“We each text each other when we're at the gym. Sometimes it'll kick me from going like, I was just about to blow the day off… and then my brother posts the exercise bike. I'm like, dude, gotta go.” (01:00, Jon Gabrus)
“Brocountability. You need a T-shirt.” (00:38, Adam Pally)
Swapping Accountability for Indulgence

Sneaking Onto Glee’s Set
“We run this lot, okay? Paramount is ours… two PAs… go, who are you?... we're on Happy Endings… They’re like, get the hell off the set.” (16:49, Elisha Cuthbert)
“I chased those motherfuckers down that fake background… screaming, ‘Hey, get out of here. This is a TV set!’” (18:57, Adam Pally)
On-Set Camaraderie & Party Days
"Even on the weekends… we would, like, go to Chateau Marmont. We would hang out… We were together all the time." (23:15, Alicia Cuthbert)
“You were my first adult friend that, like, set me straight as far as, like, this is how you chill out, function as an adult.” (24:59, Adam Pally)
“Zero [tennis experience]… Never even hit a tennis ball… Now I win my matches. I'm in the West Side Women's league.” (30:09, Elisha Cuthbert)
“Tennis is something you can pick up, and if you have any kind of coordination, you can get better… Within a year… I was playing matches.” (36:36, Elisha Cuthbert)
“I had this, like, visual of… my husband turns to the kids and goes, let's go play tennis… and they both go, well, I hope I don't get paired with mom. Do you know what I mean?” (31:49, Elisha Cuthbert)
“I thought I did… a really good job… and she's like, ‘It was all right. I wish mom was here.’” (33:34, Adam Pally)
