Even on the weekends. Like, we would, like, go to Chateau Marmont. We would hang out, we would go to dinner. It would be like we were together all the time.

Like, we. Yeah, he loved Fridays.

Yeah, he loved his Fridays. He was super intense and professional and kept things in line and kept the show moving, and that got things done efficiently. Therefore, we weren't wasting time. So the other thing, too, was like, if we're gonna be five of us here or six of us, like, just constantly being insane, nothing's gonna get done. So it was, like, just trying to. Trying to find a way to find the happy balance, because I was having the best. Best, if not the best time ever I've ever had on a set. So I didn't want to, like, be the poo poo police.

And that's social with no previous tennis in your life?

We just saw the most actor slip up ever. Is called your husband's hockey game a performance. You're like, I'm watching him perform. They are performing. But I also used to call. I got roasted for calling rugby practice rehearsal once. I said, we have rehearsal Tuesday night. Someone's like, what do you mean, performance? I was like, that wasn't a performance. Don't say it in front of the guys. That's so. So watching him.

And he was like, yeah, watching him and. Because we're not competitive with one another, but he has a competitive personality in that he's like. Was not like how I ever was. But I think it rubbed off on me at some point. And then somewhere down the line in our marriage, I was like, I'm gonna go play tennis. Cause you're playing tennis, and I wanna be. And then I had this epiphany that our kids at one point were gonna get to an age where we'd be on vacation. I had this, like, visual of, like, I don't know, being in somewhere like Hawaii and at a resort. And my husband turns to the kids and goes, let's go play tennis. Come on, guys. And they both go, well, I hope I don't get paired with mom. Do you know what I mean?

Because that's a real. Cause my husband's a professional athlete and I don't have any sport on my belt.

I know. Well, they're very. It's funny. Their vibe is. They're so chill and relaxed, and they don't seem phased like this generation. They seem so confident, very nonchalant. You know where I was like, and you're shalom. And I was shalom saying my whole career.

They're like, no, no, no, no, they're not late. But they're just. They're. They're super, you know, know, quiet and calm and have their shit together and. And they're all stunning. Like, it's just. They. They make my heart, you know what? Swell.

I look at my daughter and my son, who's also like, you know, a beefcake, and I'm just like, what is it about them that. Why are they so much hotter than I was?

But I guess maybe an older generation with us was thinking the same thing.

And I also just like, fantasize. They make me. My heart so warm because when I watch them, I remember being at. So that just brings me the nostalgia of that of, like, wow, I was there. And this is such a great time in their life. And I'm like, oh, just soak up every single second of this. And I hope they enjoy, you know, and they'll.

And so, like, all of a sudden you're. You're like. And I have over. Originally, young people would kind of give you a little bit of anxiety of like, oh, shit. Like, because you make it about yourself, then eventually you get to a point where you're like, it's fun to be around young people. It is.

See, that's what I feel like. I don't ever want to be bitter and be like, oh, I used to be like that. I'm like. When I see them, I just like my. I Get like my face lights up. I'm just. I feel like I watch them in awe. I think they're so gorgeous.

[John Gabris]

Whatever the non negative. Like, I feel like a vampiric energy, like, you know what I mean? Like, it's not maliciously, but I'm like, I'm being inspired by being around like a 27 year old who's like, trying hard and has like a new perspective on everything around them than I do.

And they were so sweet to me too. They were excited to meet me. Yeah. Which was really nice.

I do think that's a testament to you though, as well. Alicia is like, you are a non. You are one of the best cast members to have. You are non judgmental. You are. You are easy, you are thoughtful. And like, when you don't know what you're doing, like, I remember first. My first couple days with you, it's like when you don't know what you're doing and then you see someone who has such a command of what. Of how to be. It's like natural leadership, you know, in a way. And you really do do that.

Yeah. And I want Sadie, who are our lead. She, you know, I want her to have a great experience. And sometimes it can be difficult when you're the lead of a show and all the pressure's on you. And so, you know, navigating different personalities on set.
