Dr. Cerbón grew up in Mexico City, where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Universidad Anáhuac México Norte, graduating top of her class. Her performance allowed her to do part of her clinical curriculum at the University of Miami, where she met her mentors, who upon graduating ,hired her as a research assistant for 1 year while she successfully passed all the required exams in order to train for residency in the U.S.

She began her medical training in 2020 with an intern year in general surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami, followed by residency in radiation oncology at the same institution.
