Dr. Michelle Ruiz earned her PhD in Clinical Health Psychology from East Carolina University and completed a pre‑doctoral internship at UF Health Science Center specialized in health psychology. Currently, she is a postdoctoral psychology fellow at the University of Florida, specializing in solid‑organ transplant and psycho‑oncology services. Her clinical work centers on coping and adjustment among medically complex patients. This primarily includes delivering psychological interventions in outpatient and inpatient settings, while working within an interdisciplinary care team to meet the psychosocial needs of patients.
