St. Joseph is often called the Terror of Demons, but another beloved devotion shows him asleep. At first, those titles can seem at odds. Yet together they reveal the quiet power of a man who trusted God completely.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Joseph receives God’s guidance in dreams three times: to take Mary as his wife, to flee to Egypt, and later to return to Israel.
