Savannah Boda
Welcome back to another episode of the Bondest podcast. I'm your host, Savannah Boda.
Tyler Jacoby
And I'm your co host, Tyler Jacoby.
Savannah Boda
And it has been a year.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah. I mean, honestly, this. The past two weeks have felt like a year.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. There's been so much happening. The spa's getting closer every single day. If you're watching the YouTube video or honestly listening and I sound weird. I got Botox in my chin and I love it. Other than the fact that, like, my tongue doesn't know what to do.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
I'm having such a hard time, like, pronunciating things.
Tyler Jacoby
What does that have to do with your tongue? Or, like, do you think it's like the position of your bottom lip?
Savannah Boda
Yeah, I think it's. I just like. Yeah. Because I. When I would do the kissy face like this, I would get like, little dimples.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Like, say, like, looking on my chin.
Tyler Jacoby
And like now it's completely gone.
Savannah Boda
I know she's smooth. Isn't that crazy? So I'm like, I should talk less anyway. But I've been, like, trying to record reels and stuff.
Tyler Jacoby
And you've been getting so frustrated.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. And my mouth just looks weird when I talk right now. But it'll get, like, less intense as time goes on. But yeah, I mean, it looks fucking good.
Tyler Jacoby
So maybe you'll get used to it.
Savannah Boda
Maybe I'll get used to it. It's like when you get, like, braces and you don't know how to talk or like a retainer. Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Do you ever have braces?
Savannah Boda
Yeah. Three times.
Tyler Jacoby
No. No. Invisalign. You had braces three times?
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Like brackets?
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Wow, that's crazy. I need to get them again, but I won't.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. I'd love to see you with braces.
Tyler Jacoby
Won't happen.
Savannah Boda
I think that'd be so cute. So what has been new in our life? So I went to San Diego twice in, like, one week. Yeah. Less than 72 hours. I, like, flew San Diego for a girls trip with, like, some my really good esthetician friends. This year, actually, I've made, like, a lot of friends. I'm really proud of myself. I was kind of a recluse. I have a lot of trust issues, especially, like, in this industry. Like, you know, when I first got in the industry, the group that I was in was just not the kindest or most supportive. And so it kind of deterred me and I was just very, like, by myself. And it took me, like, a while to find my people, but I have, like, Such a great group of friends. I'm really thankful for face reality for that actually because I met them all from being an ambassador. So yeah, I went there, we did that. It was a good time. Not much to share about that.
Tyler Jacoby
Seals.
Savannah Boda
Yeah, I saw the seals, I saw the sea lions. I really enjoyed it.
Tyler Jacoby
Or were they seal, were they sea lions? Oh, they were both.
Savannah Boda
Okay. Yeah, a little combination.
Tyler Jacoby
I don't know if I misspoke.
Savannah Boda
No, there's both of them. And then I came home and then I had to go back for Crystal's wedding, who's another good friend of mine in the industry. And it was crazy. It was one of the coolest weddings I think I've ever been to. The culture is just amazing. I mean I've never seen so many people dance, so many people involved. Like just very active in the wedding and really like participating. Yeah, it was really cool. And everyone dressed up. I like thought my dress was gonna be too much, but I was dressed down compared to what they were wearing.
Tyler Jacoby
You're wearing a T shirt and jeans.
Savannah Boda
Yeah, pretty much. I should have researched more but I just thought, you know, black tie wedding, black lace dress. We were like in full on gowns with rhinestones, like embellishments. Like it was really cool and it was awesome to see Crystal get married. Like I just know she's always wanted to start her family and have kids. And um, ever since I've known her, like that's always been what she's wanted and now it's happening. It's happened. So that was really fun. I'm trying to think, did anything crazy happen to us on this trip?
Tyler Jacoby
Well, wait, I have a funny story. We should, you should tell the Rick story. I feel like Rick's funny.
Savannah Boda
Oh, okay. So we were with Candace, who's a really good friend of mine in the industry as well. And she was driving us and we pull up to the parking lot and there's like nobody there. And we're like, are we at the right place? Because the wedding or the.
Tyler Jacoby
The ceremony started at 5pm we pulled into the parking lot at 4:50.
Savannah Boda
We were like freaking out.
Tyler Jacoby
The parking lot was empty and so we were like we're at the wrong place. Like there's no way. Well come to find out, I guess like Middle Eastern time. Like Middle Eastern people just. It's like part of their culture.
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
To like if it's. If you say 4:30, it's 5 or like if you say.
Savannah Boda
Yeah, I don't know.
Tyler Jacoby
That's what Rick was telling me. Oh yeah, but so we pulled up 10 minutes before the parking lot's completely empty.
Savannah Boda
And then we pull up, and I see this man, and I'm like, candace, pull up closer. I want to take a picture of him and send it to Rick. It looks just like Rick. And as I say that, he, like, looks up and it is Rick. And so Rick is our business development manager type thing for Skin Butter. And he's become a good friend and family to us. And actually, where I'm building my house right now is where he lived for years, which is, like, weird because there's so many neighborhoods and there's so many, like, suburbs. Suburbs in Dallas and Dallas Fort Worth area. So. Yeah, anyway, so we saw him. That was crazy.
Tyler Jacoby
It was just cool. Like, it was like. There was a huge wedding. So elaborate. There was probably, like. I think they said, like, 600 people at the reception. And, like, our area was almost like.
Savannah Boda
It was like, skin better people.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, it was like the skin better, like, table from different walks. And it's. It was nice to be, like, reunited with everyone.
Savannah Boda
Yeah, it was cute. The only thing that was bad, which I don't really drink in general, so I don't care, but they, like, wanted everyone to have IDs and to order alcohol. And I was gonna have, like, one drink, you know, and, like, sip on it all night. I don't know. I have to be, like, in the mood to. To drink. And I was just, like, tired that day. I don't know. I was really exhausted. It's just been, like, a lot of travel lately. Like, I feel like I've been gone more than I've been home. And that's hard for me because I like routine and I like to be home. But that's what happens when you make friends. This is why I told you, friends are hard. It's hard to have friendships and to maintain friendships as an adult, as a business owner, as a parent, as all those things separately. But also altogether, it's. You know, it's hard. But, yeah, I've made a lot of friends this year. I'm proud of myself. So anyway, they wouldn't give us any alcohol, which Tyler's, like, the only one that had his id. So, like, Tyler was, like, having to, like, kind of be the.
Tyler Jacoby
I was. There was, like, six bars around the entire, like, room. And so, like, I would just, like, hop between different ones so that they wouldn't catch on to me.
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
But, yeah, I was like, everyone's not designated driver. Designated alcohol getter.
Savannah Boda
Yeah, you are. And then I Think my favorite story from this trip. So Tyler is a sleep talker. He's always been a sleep talker.
Tyler Jacoby
I'm not a snorer.
Savannah Boda
He's not a snorer. But he does talk in his sleep. The first night. We shared a room both nights. But he wasn't in my bed, where people start that rumor had his own nice little cot on the ground.
Tyler Jacoby
There wasn't on the ground. They brought in another bed.
Savannah Boda
Oh, I looked really low to the floor. I don't know. I don't pay attention to your sleeping arrangements.
Tyler Jacoby
That's fine.
Savannah Boda
Anyway, the first night he was just like yelling at somebody. And then the second night, I hear like in the middle of the night, he's like, I don't know. I don't have an answer for that right now. I'm gonna have to circle back. You're gonna need to stop. You're gonna need to pause. I'm gonna circle back. We're gonna have to circle back. And I'm like, are you good? And he's like, no, no, no, no, no. Well, talk later. And I'm like, okay. And so the next day I tell him, and I'm like, what the hell? I'm like, I'm sure it was work related, not the. I'll circle back.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, I don't know. I don't remember my dreams ever. So I couldn't tell you what I was dreaming about. But if that doesn't prove to her that I work 24 7, literally even in my sleep, then I don't know what does.
Savannah Boda
It's so funny.
Tyler Jacoby
I wonder who like. I wonder what it was probably Rick. Maybe.
Savannah Boda
Maybe. Yeah. So we did that and then we came home. And then what? What did I do next? I went to New York right after San Diego.
Tyler Jacoby
We had a boat day.
Savannah Boda
Well, yeah, but that's.
Tyler Jacoby
We just had a fun little boat day. We stayed an extra day and it was very lovely.
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Made. Made some more new friends and. Yeah, that was good. Then. Yeah.
Savannah Boda
You went to New York on a top secret mission. I can't tell you guys, unfortunately, but I did some cool stuff there and maybe one day you'll find out. Maybe. And then what else happened? And now we're here. And now it's just like every day is like Groundhog Day. I work, I have meetings and I work again. It's actually very non exciting. It's just like a lot of stuff. And the tariffs of honestly like me over. I'll tell you guys a crazy story actually. So Candace had the cutest Dress on at the wedding. And I was like, oh, my God. I've never, like, heard of this brand before. Like, I want to order something from them. She's like, yeah, like, it's actually like not super expensive, like for like good evening gowns and stuff. Like, usually, like, you know, really nice stuff's like $1,000, 600 to $1,000. And these are like 250 to like 400. So I'm like, oh, my God, slay. I'm going to order some. So I'm like in the car with everyone. I'm not driving passenger. So I'm like, you know, doing my little checkout thing. I get two dresses. It's like the total for two dresses was 600. And I have like my shop pay. So like, everything's connected. So I just do like middle face ID and like, I'm chit chatting, not really paying attention. I hit place order and then I look down and I see it says $4,800. And I'm like, what the. Like, did I make an account like, a long time ago and had like, in my cart or like, did I accidentally add it like 77 times? No, it was the tariffs.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
And so I emailed them immediately and I'm like, hey, like, I, you know, don't want to pay $3,000 more than that on clothes.
Tyler Jacoby
Like, on fees.
Savannah Boda
On fees, yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Like, literally not for anything else.
Savannah Boda
Like, the dresses were $600. The fees were like 3200.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Wow, that was good math on my part.
Tyler Jacoby
4200.
Savannah Boda
Oh, yeah. 42. Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Nice try.
Savannah Boda
Oh, so close. And I was like, cancel it. And then within the minute I sent that, and then like six days later, they're like, your order already shipped. And what I found out, guys, is actually stay vigilant out there because a lot of companies are actually overcharging because they can. Because no one can track the tariffs from their distributors. So a lot of shady companies are using it to like make an extra coin or an extra thousand dollars on orders. So it's just really, like, unethical.
Tyler Jacoby
I mean, the tariffs are. The tariffs are really bad, but it's also like, sketchy when they're like, we've taken it upon ourselves to just charge you for it and pay for it. Because usually, like, when it comes to customs, customs will contact you. That's what we do with our customers. Like, if we ship internationally, like, yeah.
Savannah Boda
Because they don't want you to know.
Tyler Jacoby
Tariffs and stuff like that. We just let them get billed from customs and they know exactly how much it is, not us charging that. And, like, that's how it is. So, like, when they take it on themselves and they're like, yeah, it's this much.
Savannah Boda
I don't trust it.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
And our designer also said, like, that's like a thing. Like, she's seen it happening a ton. And, like, the interior design industry for, like, materials and stuff for home building. So it's not just the fashion industry. So I don't know, it just, like, is annoying because I just don't like scamming people. Like, earn your money in an ethical way. Don't scam people. It'll come back to bite them. But anyways. So, yeah, now I'm contacting customs to see what to do because I came in and. And they're like, you can send it back, but you're gonna pay another $4,000 in tariffs. Send it back. And I'm like, yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
And it's crazy because I. I was like, why are you even. I mean, obviously I hadn't done a bunch of research into the tariffs, but I was like, why are you even getting charged tariffs? Because it's only on, like, certain countries that we're doing that.
Savannah Boda
Well, they get their stuff from China.
Tyler Jacoby
Well, that's what I was saying. Yeah, that's where I was getting.
Savannah Boda
Oh, well, I feel like that's very obvious.
Tyler Jacoby
What?
Savannah Boda
Like, if someone. If a UK based company is charging tariffs, it's probably because their shit is from China, but it's just like.
Tyler Jacoby
I guess so. But I guess it's just crazy to me. Like, you think the tariffs would be on, like, the goods coming from China? Yeah, but it's like this company bought the stuff, like, the material. What if, like, they're assembled? You know what I'm saying? Like, just because the, like, cotton is made in China, I think, like, the.
Savannah Boda
Full outfits are made in China, but.
Tyler Jacoby
I think if the material is made in China, then it gets a tariff, which is, like, crazy to me.
Savannah Boda
That is crazy. I don't know. I hate the tariffs. Not about it. Not about it. Don't like taxes. Don't like tariffs. What's the Proclamation of Expansionation? Proclamation of expansiation.
Tyler Jacoby
Emancipation?
Savannah Boda
Yeah. Isn't that, like, when people oppose taxes?
Tyler Jacoby
It's been too long.
Savannah Boda
What is that proclamation about? Emancipation?
Tyler Jacoby
Emancipation is when you don't want your parents to be your parents anymore. So now I'm confused.
Savannah Boda
Proclamation of.
Tyler Jacoby
It's of emancipation. I know that.
Savannah Boda
So maybe they're emancipating from, like, maybe it was when Texas Moves away from Mexico.
Tyler Jacoby
That was when all the slaves were freed.
Savannah Boda
Maybe we shouldn't laugh about that.
Tyler Jacoby
I'm just laughing at how far off we were. Like, we were thinking, like, dumping tea into the harbor.
Savannah Boda
What was that?
Tyler Jacoby
The Civil.
Savannah Boda
No, the Tea Party. The Boston Tea Party.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Tim, you sound like two dumb bitches right now. It's been a long week, y' all.
Savannah Boda
It's been a really long week.
Tyler Jacoby
It's been a long week.
Savannah Boda
I just knew the proclamation of emancipation was very important part of history. And it is.
Tyler Jacoby
Absolutely. It is.
Savannah Boda
I don't know why I thought it was about Texas. It's been so long since I've been in school.
Tyler Jacoby
History was your favorite.
Savannah Boda
It was. And I used to know so much, but now my brain is all skincare.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah. History was my least favorite history.
Savannah Boda
I love history. But now, as I get older, I realize a lot of it was like, you know, I'm a little bit of a conspiracy theorist. I went down this rabbit hole. Tartaria.
Tyler Jacoby
Oh, yeah.
Savannah Boda
It's a thing. Tartaria is real. It's just not here anymore. It's, like, basically, like, this really powerful civilization. Civilization.
Tyler Jacoby
Terminology.
Savannah Boda
Civilization. No, civilization. Civilization. Civilization. That's right.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. It was a really powerful civilization.
Tyler Jacoby
I say civilization.
Savannah Boda
Okay, well, I don't.
Tyler Jacoby
Are you sure?
Savannah Boda
Civilization.
Tyler Jacoby
I don't think people say that.
Savannah Boda
Okay, well, Savannah Bota does. Okay, so the civil people, the people from civil. The land of civil, were really powerful. And if you think about it. Just hear me out before you think I'm crazy. All of these buildings are etched so beautifully. Like, you're telling me that people in the freaking 1800s were carving that?
Tyler Jacoby
No. Like, B.C.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. I don't believe it, and I don't buy it. So I think they're very advanced, and they learned how to harness solar power, but, like, in a different way. And, yeah, I think they were just really a powerful thing, kind of like Atlantis. And they were destroyed. And now we're, like, in this government system to just, like, work on this hamster wheel 24. Seven until we die. And to, you know, close our third eye. Fluoride. Fluoride closes your third eye. It does. I do believe that. Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
I'm only laughing because there was this girl when we were in high school who, like, made a tweet about that, and she. I've never seen someone get flamed harder, but she was just ahead of her time.
Savannah Boda
I guess she was ahead of her.
Tyler Jacoby
Time because this was, like, 2015.
Savannah Boda
She was. And, like, the pyramids. If you think about it, guys. Like, what did Candace told us, like, one cinder block is, like £250,000.
Tyler Jacoby
No, ma' am.
Savannah Boda
Are you sure?
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, I think it was like, two tons, like £4,000.
Savannah Boda
Okay. I don't know what two hundred and £50,000. I need to get out the gallon man. Did you ever do the gallon man?
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, of course.
Savannah Boda
So many clients I've talked to about the gallon man. I don't know why it's a topic, but it is. And they don't know what the gallon man is. They, like, didn't learn that in school.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, like, the gallon is the body and then the quartz and the body. Yeah.
Savannah Boda
And the little quartz and little pints. Yeah. That's like, how I got through school. But a lot of people don't know the gallon man.
Tyler Jacoby
That's crazy.
Savannah Boda
But anyway, like, there's no way that that happened. And then also I saw, like, AI pictures of, like, what their theory is. Underneath the pyramids are, like, columns and, like, underground cities. Like, they were living under the ground and then they, like, buried it all, and now we're living on top of it. But some buildings, like, if you look at them, just look up Tartaria on TikTok and send me a DM and let me know what you think. So that's my conspiracy theory for this podcast. I'm trying to think if there's anything else exciting and silly, goofy. I wish I could just, like, have a mic on us at all times and just have that on the podcast. Because when we retell, stories are not as funny as they were when they happen. But this song has been in my head for Cyrus so long, and I was singing it to Tyler. It's Daddy Finger. Daddy Finger, where are you? Here I am. Here I am. How do you do? And Tyler thinks it's some Lost station song.
Tyler Jacoby
I was. She just, like, randomly started singing it while we were in San Diego and the, like, I don't know what I was doing, but she was just like, daddy Finger, Daddy finger. It was the way you were singing it. I was like, that sounds like harassment. That sounds like.
Savannah Boda
When you actually listen to the lyrics, it does sound weird.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, it was bizarre. I was like this. I mean, horrible. But it sounds like a bad dad, Scary dad.
Savannah Boda
I don't know. It's. A lot of kids songs are kind of weird.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah. I mean, isn't, like, Ring around the Rosie, like, demonic or something like that?
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah. I don't know. I'm trying to think of another funny story. Have you told the story About Cyrus being obsessed with, like, police officers and yelling help in the backyard.
Savannah Boda
I have not. So Cyrus is obsessed with any kind of emergency vehicle. He's either a military man or he is a firefighter or a policeman. And he has like his little outfits that he wears every day. But yeah, he, like, literally will go to the backyard and be like, help, help, help me. And I'm like, you can't do that. And then he's getting in trouble at school right now because he's p pushing kids and saying like, get on the stretcher, go to the hospital. And I'd have a parent teacher meeting.
Tyler Jacoby
It was crazy because whenever she got called for a parent teacher meeting, I feel like that's when it hit me that she had a child. Like, I don't know why. Up until this moment, like, Sarah's just.
Savannah Boda
Like, seemed like my sister was just like a little.
Tyler Jacoby
But yeah, almost like your brother. I don't know. Like, I don't have a single friend who has children. And so, like, yeah, I guess kind of like a little brother that you.
Savannah Boda
Just had to raise. Like, big parenting thing I've ever had to do.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. So fun fact, I got kicked out of the same school for like two weeks because I wouldn't stop talking, like, stitch. And then, yeah, Cyrus did have a couple days that he was not allowed to go back because he again was pushing kids. He's three and saying like, go to the hospital. Get on the stretcher. But he's saying it with a smile. He's like, because he thinks it's fun because he likes it. And it's hard as a parent because I'm like, I don't want him to be like, oh, you know, and tell him like, the hospital is like a scary place because I don't want him to be scared of it. But my husband's sister and brother are both nurses. And then my sister in law is engaged to another nurse. So there's just a lot of like, hospital nurse talk in the family. And he's really passionate about it. So I think he'll be like a doctor or a paramedic. He really wants to be a paramedic. And like, again, like, I've literally had to buy him like on Amazon these WWE stretchers and like little slambulances is what they're called. It's called a slam balance, which he hates because it breaks apart because it's supposed to use the little, like, WWE guy to like, smash through it. But he wants it to be together anyway. So, yeah, I'm trying to, like, let him know, you know, we don't want to be the reason people go to the hospital. Like, if someone gets hurt, like, we can help them. But, like, he wants people to be hurt so that he can help them.
Tyler Jacoby
And I feel like it's hard because we play at home with him and, like, you know, like, he'll like, we'll like, fall onto the stretcher. Like, Savannah has this, like, at the foot of her bed, like an ottoman. An ottoman. And so, like, we'll lay on that and pretend it's the stretcher. But now it's like, well, damn, can we not play with him now? Because it's, like, encouraging.
Savannah Boda
They said, like, I just have to, like, be like, we're playing right now, but, like, we're not playing when we're at school. And. And I made him a whole song that was like, oh, my God, let me think about it. My brain is so dead. It goes. I just know the end. It goes. It's not right to hit and bite. It's not cool to push at school.
Tyler Jacoby
You kind of hate with that.
Savannah Boda
I know. Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
But poor guy, he's three. We were talking about.
Savannah Boda
It's not like he's like, being mean. Like, and that's the thing is it's not like he's acting out because, like, we have an unstable home or like, you know, he's just like a mean kid. Like, that's. The teacher said it's like a hard situation because he's like, smiling ear to ear when he's doing it. But she said, like, his friends aren't wanting to play with him anymore because he keeps pushing them.
Tyler Jacoby
Did I tell you that Charlie's doing getting in trouble for the same stuff.
Savannah Boda
Really?
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
For hospital talk.
Tyler Jacoby
No, I think maybe the biting and pushing is malicious.
Savannah Boda
But that's one of our friend's kids. Yeah, that's Cyrus's age. Well, that makes me feel better. Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
You should talk to her about it.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. Raising children, it's so fun.
Tyler Jacoby
I mean, she was. Cause yeah, Savannah was in New York and I got drinks with her, but she was saying she was like, they're three. Like, they're three years old. Like, it's not.
Savannah Boda
I know, but I'd get it, like, if my. If Cyrus kept coming home and being, like, pushed, like, I'd be like, oh.
Tyler Jacoby
You'D be ready to fight.
Savannah Boda
Yeah, what three year old am I gonna fight today?
Tyler Jacoby
I remember you almost fought this, like, six foot woman at Marty B's one time.
Savannah Boda
I almost fought her kid and I did. I said some things to him. He was like, 10.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah. He was like 10. And Cyrus was literally, like one and a half. Like, just learned to walk. And he was like, you can't play with that.
Savannah Boda
And then he kicked him in front of me. I said, excuse me, did you just kick my son? He's like, yeah. I'm like, he's a baby. He's like, well, he can't play with me. And I was like, he doesn't even know that y' all are playing. Like, he literally has no brain cells right now. Like, he doesn't even know what fucking day it is, babe. Like, he doesn't even know who he is. He doesn't even know he's alive.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Like, Cyrus was literally, like, maybe, like, 14 months at that time.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
And so I was like, literally, I didn't cuss at him, but I was like, he literally doesn't know. He can't comprehend that if you tell him not to play with you, like, he literally does not hear you. He's one.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
And then I, like, was looking around like, where is this mother? I'm going to go tell her. Like, her son's a fucking bully. And then this big ass bitch walks up and I'm like, never mind.
Tyler Jacoby
Not having that's a battle for another day.
Savannah Boda
It's not worth it. Like, she. And she looked mean, too. Like, she looked like she'd, like, played sports and, like, basketball growing up. And, like, lifted, like, 300 pounds at the gym every week.
Tyler Jacoby
She gave my mom energy.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. You wouldn't say not a feminine woman, but a very, like, bodybuilder, huge mountain woman. Yeah. I mean, I respect it, but not a conversation I wanted to have.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
But, yeah. So, yeah, parenting is hard. Work is hard. Everything's hard right now, guys.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, building a spa is hard. Building a house is hard.
Savannah Boda
It's just, like, I don't feel like I just have nothing else to talk about anymore because my life is just busy and. Go, go, go, go, go. I'm trying to think if there's anything exciting other than, obviously, like, the spa is exciting. There's, you know, some regulations and things that I've run into that have been annoying because the city we're building in is, like, very. They care too much. They need to, like, get laid. Honestly, these men.
Tyler Jacoby
No, like, we're not allowed to have multiple. We have. We had three. We have two entrances to our building now.
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
And they're like, you can only have one sign, but the two entrances serve.
Savannah Boda
Different purposes unless There's a wall. And unless. And I have to have two coos cos.
Tyler Jacoby
So you need to have like. We would have to have two businesses and two leases.
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
And I'm like, what?
Savannah Boda
Yeah, it makes no sense.
Tyler Jacoby
This makes.
Savannah Boda
So, yeah, we're just dealing with that shit. And it's like they're crushing my dreams, but it's fine. And then, like, a lot of stuff that, like, I thought I liked now that I'm seeing it being painted. Who is that? Bobby?
Tyler Jacoby
Josh.
Savannah Boda
Now that it's being done, I'm like, I don't know if I love it. So anyways.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, I feel like. I feel like you love everything still. I think it's like the parts of the renderings that we were paying attention to were like the important parts. And the things that you're like, whoa, I didn't even, like, think about this part. You know what I'm saying? Like, the ceilings, like, that's not what.
Savannah Boda
You were looking at. The bath, One of the bathrooms. I'm really, really stressed about one of the bathrooms right now. It's gonna be. Not the vibe that I wanted it to be. Well, I hate the tile. I hate the color of Roman clay. And there's no color that I could replace it with. And it's already been ordered because they just don't have options. They have like fucking 57 different shades of white and cream, but not the one color I need.
Tyler Jacoby
Mm.
Savannah Boda
So, yeah, it'll be fine. I mean, it's fine. It's just I'm very particular. There's a reason. And like, Tyler and I have gotten into it lately because he's very big picture. I'm very fine tuned. Details. And that's why I've been so successful, because I care so much about the details and. And like, even if to other people they don't matter, it does the little things make such a big deal. And he's like, obviously, you know, a man, and focus on getting us, like, his job, you know, to make sure that we're in the spa when we need to be, and up and running and making money. But for me, I'm like, if I don't have, like, certain things the way that I need them, like, I will not work there. I will.
Tyler Jacoby
She'll go on strike. Literally. She has told me that she will not work there.
Savannah Boda
I was like, the spa will be open, but you won't fucking have me. I won't be there. I'm not coming. Do not come. Yeah, so there's just a lot of little Stuff. And I've been planning this for so many years. It's been such a dream of mine, and I just want it to be perfect. And I know it'll be great. It's just, again, like, I am such a fine details person. Like, I'm inspecting every single piece of tile that's being installed to make sure it's up to my liking and standard. Yeah. I mean, I am. There's a reason that there's only one me, and there's a reason why I've, you know, been so successful is because I look into those things, and I. To some people, you know, they're like, okay, clients will come regardless. Like, I'm talented at what I do, and I know that, like, you know, I don't have to spend $3 million on this spa to have clients come, but I want to, because I have to work there, and I want it to be special. And I just want something that no one's ever done before, and it has to be perfect. And if it's not, I will not work there. I will not go.
Tyler Jacoby
We're gonna figure it out.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. I hate building the house. I'm not. I don't even give a fuck about the house anymore. Truthfully.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah. I mean, it's also, like, crunch time with the spa. So. Yeah, the house had to take a step back for a second, but I feel like in a few months.
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
You're gonna be caring about the house a lot. Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. It's just a lot going on right now, guys. Like, I really am drained and burnout.
Tyler Jacoby
And talking about all this stuff in our sleep.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. It's just been, like. I cannot wait for it to be over. The season of life. But exciting news. We're going to St. Bart's our family, in a week from today. What?
Tyler Jacoby
Oh, a week from yesterday.
Savannah Boda
Yeah.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Yeah. So we are gonna be on our little family trip. Last year, we did Hawaii as a family. And the reason we bring Tyler, one, we love him. And two, I love diving. And I don't want Cyrus to get daddy fingered by anybody like one of those resort nannies. I just don't trust him. I'm sorry. Call me crazy, but, like, I would rather, like, that's not the whole reason I'm bringing Tyler, but, like, one of the top three reasons is that I can have someone I can trust that won't molest my child on vacation. That's fair and valid. And then 1. 1. First reason, I love you and I love your company, and you're my bestie. Second Reason I need someone to help with Cyrus. Especially like if Lance and I want to go, like have dinner, which we won't. But because we all, we tried to do that in Hawaii and we're just like. We all want to be together. Yeah. And then three, it's a tradition at this point. It's a tradition at this point. And three, Cyrus loves you. And you can help a lot with Cyrus and he is a lot. And then number four is there's no fucking way we'd get any family photos if you weren't there.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
And number five, you're with me. I'm excited. Apparently St. Barts is a party place. I did not know this.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, like I like I did, but.
Savannah Boda
I didn't know because I've been to Anguilla, I've been to where else? I just always hear people say they love St. Bart's but I guess it is a party place.
Tyler Jacoby
Like not a place that people often bring a three year old, but it happens. We saw some tiktoks of some like 6 year olds like up in the beach club.
Savannah Boda
And like drunk people love kids so they'll love him. He'll be the life of the party.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah. I mean the only thing that sucks, which honestly doesn't suck that much for us, we can only get first seating for every dining reservation.
Savannah Boda
Which means like we have to go when it opens so that Cyrus can get the fuck out when the party starts.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, exactly like that.
Savannah Boda
Which is fine. I want to be in bed by nine.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
So I think one night maybe me and you will venture out.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah.
Savannah Boda
Wait, so he's not allowed to be there when the party starts?
Tyler Jacoby
I mean, Nikki beach, like the beach club during the day, like the video we saw of the kids, like that wasn't at night. But like I don't think like restaurants, like if you have a kid under a certain age, you have to get first seating. I don't think it's every restaurant, but I think it was some of them.
Savannah Boda
Well, we'll see. It'll be fun regardless. I just am there for the ocean, not the drugs and not the parties.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, no, honestly, it wouldn't be our vibe. I mean we would have fun. We can try it.
Savannah Boda
We can try it.
Tyler Jacoby
But like we're not the types to go for a week and like rage every night.
Savannah Boda
Like wake up at 3pm Spa.
Tyler Jacoby
But I feel like that's like what a lot of people do. Yeah, it's like Ibiza. Like people like are out to like 4 or 5 in the morning, sleep until 2.
Savannah Boda
That's crazy. That's not me.
Tyler Jacoby
No, not at all.
Savannah Boda
Okay, well, I hope you guys enjoyed this very, very boring debriefing of my life, but I think you guys like it. Yeah, you get to know what's happening. That's what's happening. Nothing.
Tyler Jacoby
I mean, I just want y' all to know that we are beyond brain dead right now.
Savannah Boda
Yes.
Tyler Jacoby
But we're still trying to show up at all.
Savannah Boda
And I can barely talk.
Tyler Jacoby
Yeah, she's, like, mentally can't talk. And also physically.
Savannah Boda
No, it's a whole thing. But I'm really excited. We're gonna go eat Thai food after this.
Tyler Jacoby
Did you just hear my stomach?
Savannah Boda
I'm so hungry. You want me to hear my Stitch talk? This is what I got kicked out of school for. I'm so hungry. Tell her I want to go eat some Thai food.
Tyler Jacoby
I told her I was gonna kick her out of her job if she continued to do that.
Savannah Boda
So fun. Yeah. I hope you guys had an amazing. An amazing Monday, and we will see you when we see you.
Tyler Jacoby
Love, y' all.
