B
Hey. Hey. It's Monday.
A
It is Monday, March 20th something.
B
And we're so happy to be here.
A
Yes, we are.
B
We missed you guys. We hope you guys have had such a wonderful week. And a little tip I want to throw out. I want to throw out some, like, tips that I've learned. Okay.
A
Slay.
B
Okay. Number one is little vibrating tools. Also we need to get those engraved. Thought about that today. Vibrating tool on your client's neck while they get microneedled. Even if they're numbed really good and they just like don't like the sound or like they don't like the feeling. Like it eases their anxiety so much. Amazing.
A
Interesting love tip number two.
B
Tip number two is I love putting, having like an ice bowl and putting SD wipes in it after you do like a peel or laser instead of having like warm SD wipes. It feels so good for clients. Like to clean them afterwards. Especially when there's like heat in the skin like after microneedling or after laser. That's one that I loved. And then there was another one. I'm trying to think that I did the other day and I was like, this is so cool. I should post about this. It'll come to me. I literally was like, I feel like Albert Einstein.
A
I like the first two.
B
It'll come to me. Okay, today we're do a little Q and A, some personal, some skincare. Let's get into it.
A
Okay. When and how to use bpo.
B
So you want to use it before your moisturizer and you always want to wait 10 minutes before you apply your moisturizer so that it doesn't deactivate it in pea size amount. And you want to start low and slow. You can use it on a clean bare face as a face mask. Pea size amount. You don't want to like to coat your face just like a tiny amount, rub it in 10, 15 minutes, wash it off. Do that for like two to three weeks to get yourself acclimated. If you're sensitive or have had sensitivities in the past, most people will be fine. Starting with 2.5%. You can get it on our website with our little skate capped. But you have to like sign up and we do approve you to make sure that you're not stripping your skin off.
A
Yep. You need to do a little, little quiz. Quiz is plated Intense serum worth it?
B
I would say yes. I have seen such a big difference in my own skin and my client's skin. I've seen it literally heal scars on people. Pie Marks, broken capillaries, which is like insane for a topical product. So, yeah, I think it's the best formula of if you're going to do any kind of growth factor. Exosome. It works and it's ethically sourced and it's backed by the Mayo Clinic and it's wonderful.
A
It's made in the Mayo Clinic. Favorite luxury brand handbag.
B
I've been really on. I really love Bottega.
A
Yeah, you do.
B
Yeah, I love Bottega. I think it's just such good quality and they're not super, like loud. I definitely went through a phase where I liked like a lot of logos, but I don't know. I do like my Gucci stuff. I do. Gucci came back, Gucci fell off and Gucci came back. And that's why you never get rid of stuff. And I had a Louis Vuitton phase, like when I first started making money. And Tyler's like, can you sell them? Get rid of them. But I'm like, these are like gonna be so cool one day. Yeah, like they're not cool right now, but they will be cool again.
A
I see that. I see that. I. I told you. I have a few in there that I definitely say keep. But then there are a few where I'm like, I don't know if this was ever cute.
B
I would agree, but I'm not going to tell you that I agree.
A
What are your non negotiable products? You never skip a day without.
B
I never skip a day without my exfoliant in the morning. So undo alpharette at night. CBD mist, carboxy mousse and sunscreen.
A
Had to put sunscreen. They come for you. What is your shower routine? Products.
B
So I wash my body with Tropical Lab or Rosemary Lab, depending on like if I feel depressed or not I feel depressed. I do rosemary because it helps so much with like my anxiety and stress and depression. And then I always like to use a scrub. So either the mint renewal. I like the papaya as well. It's not as exfoliating and it hasn't really been warm enough or summer spring enough for me to use that one. Even though I use tropical lav. I don't know. My brain doesn't make sense. I'm confused by it too. But that's just like how I am. And then my hair stuff or cinnamon vanilla, which is my fucking fave. It smells so good. Your body is so silky. It'll literally light glistens off of it. It's the best. And then I do scene hair Care. I do the shampoo and conditioner, and then I like to wear a shower mask. I usually do the hydro calm from face reality. Or I like to use the CBD hydrotherapy mask. And that one's really cool because it kills bacteria and it reduces inflammation and heals your skin while you wear it. And the reason you want to wear a shower mask is because the steam will take water out of your skin and cause transepidermal water loss. Dehydration. It can cause dullness, more texture, more acne, flare ups, more rosacea, flare ups redness, accelerate aging, make your pigment worse. So if you're taking a hot, steamy shower and you're not protecting your skin and having like a hydrating mask or something on it, like a hydrating cleanser, letting it sit and soak on your skin, you're doing it wrong. And also, not only does it help prevent that, but it's actually just the best way to wear a mask because the steam is going to help push that mask deeper into your skin and you're going to walk out of the shower like a juicy grape instead of a shriveled up raisin. It's my favorite.
A
I think right now. If y' all have been looking at the Epicurean scrubs, just like a little education tidbit, the papaya is the Bless you. The papaya scrub is the least physically exfoliating. It's pretty gentle. It's a more liquidy consistency with less of the physical exfoliation. The cinnamon is medium, so it has definitely a lot more. It's more gritty. So if you're looking for like a happy medium, cinnamon smells so fucking good. And it's going to give you good physical exfoliation. And then the mint renewal is going to wake you the fuck up.
B
Yeah.
A
But it is like that is the highest level of exfoliation out of the three scrubs. And you will get all of the dead skin off with that one.
B
Yeah, you will.
A
Okay, so what is your favorite perfume at the moment?
B
So when we were in New York, I got from Penhaligon's, it's called a Balm of Calm. And I didn't think I'd love it. It's sandalwood, lavender and geranium. And it is so pretty. Everyone was complimenting me before my or after my speech. But before my speech I went and sprayed like a couple sprays at the store. I was like, I don't know if I love it. And then it sat on my skin and I just fell in love with it even more. And then other than that one, I love scenic rose right now. I think it's so beautiful. It's like walking through a strawberry patch with a matcha in your hand. And like rose petals flying in the wind. It is the most beautiful rose scent. And if you hate rose, you'll love this. That's like the number one feedback we get is people are like, I don't think I'd like a rose fragrance. And then they try this, and they're like, it's so good. Like, it's sweet, but it's sexy. And it's feminine, but it's also, like, not too young. It's just like, a really stunning fragrance. The layering of it is just beautiful. It lasts really long, and it's under $100. Get that on Savannah. But calm.
A
And that's how I feel about letter fragrances in general. Because, like, the vanilla is like, you're so used to a vanilla being like, you know, bath and body works are, like, super overbearingly, like, sweet, and it smells like childish. And it reminds you of, like, the warm sugar vanilla hand sanitizers everyone used to have in their bags in middle school. And the vanilla Nera from Letta is so sophisticated. It's like, sexy, it's warm. It's just. It's a vanilla. I've never smelled in a perfume before, and I love it.
B
Hmm.
A
Best eye cream. Because I'm having a hard time choosing for brightness and hydration. Brightness hydration eye cream.
B
I would say for brightness and hydration. Iranu from Hydrinity. That one's great. It has peptides, it helps rebuild your fat pads, and it is super brightening as well.
A
Would you recommend Ondo and Alpharet after Accutane?
B
Absolutely, babe. Absolutely. Ondue in the morning, Alfred at night. And if you throw in some carboxy mousse on top of both of those products morning and night, you're gonna love me. This is what I would do. I would go lipid serum Ondo carboxy in the morning and then lipid serum Alpharette carboxy at night. Like, those three steps are so great post Accutane. And for someone that just wants all the benefits of every single skin concern, but a simple regiment.
A
Best products for sebaceous filaments.
B
So you can't get rid of them, but you can help minimize the appearance. I would definitely say Prelude cleanser. That's so good at reducing follicle size and also bacteria on the skin and keeping your skin clean. And then Oxygen deep pore mask mixed with detoxifying scrub. Mask those two products together three times a week on the nose area is wonderful. You can do one one to two times a week full face unless you're oily. Or you can do three times salty toner. Every single day is phenomenal. And then I would say clearing serum at night and then maestro balance serum morning and night.
A
Can plated hair be layered with other serums?
B
Hair serums? Yes, definitely. But you just want to make sure you do plated hair first.
A
What are your top recommendations for Symbiotica supplements?
B
Glutathione for sure and elderberry. Those are my two favorites. Glutathione for all of her skin health. My skin has never looked better. And then elderberry is so great for not getting sick. The toddler and busy schedule traveling and high cortisol no sleep.
A
Are Skin better counterfeits common?
B
How to spot them high from us directly? Yeah. Yes. Everything's counterfeit, babe. Everything is a lie. The world's counterfeit. Up until our government is counterfeit.
A
Up until very recently, the only place where you could have purchased Skin Better products that are authorized to be sold was from skinbetter.com recently they have allowed a few other websites or practitioners to sell directly to their consumer base and we are one of them. So unless you are purchasing from skinbetter.com or or savannahbota.com it's not authorized and it likely is counterfeit. Plated eye versus I renew. Both them.
B
Both of them. Plated eye is exosomes. It's a serum. I renew is peptides and hyaluronic acid and it's a. It is technically a serum, but it's not. It's a cream.
A
How long does purging last? With the start of refining foam cleanser
B
and alpharette clearing, I would say give it four to six weeks.
A
Yum. I mean, purging varies from person to person.
B
Some people purge, some people don't. Honestly, the best way to not purge is to take the faciality supplements while you're doing it and make sure you're icing and using carboxy mousse.
A
Yep. Is there an alternate retinoid to Alpharette? A more affordable one.
B
Base Reality has one and it's good and it's affordable.
A
It's not as good. Love you face reality.
B
But yeah, it's just. It's a regular, you know, retinoid for a good price range and has good ingredients with it. But it's nothing revolutionary. But it is good. If you have to get one. I'd rather you get that than get something at Sephora.
A
Mm. What is your recommendations for maturation arrest acne?
B
I just taught a whole class on this, and if you want more info, I do have a webinar on it on my website. How do they get to the webinars?
A
There's an education section on our website.
B
Can't wait for our new website. It's been like three years in the works.
A
It has been. That's what Ryan has been working on every day. And that's why you walk by the office and you see him crying.
B
It's very true. Crying, Ryan. Ryan be crying. So first and foremost, you want to avoid mineral oils. You want to take Omegas, Omega 3, 6, and 9. You can find those in the face reality supplements we talked about earlier. Those are amazing for anyone to take. Even if you don't have acne, just all over skin health, you want to make sure you're avoiding really, like, strenuous activities like saunas and hot yoga and things like that. A lot of people with exercise will have that going on. Smoking, vaping, all of that can cause maturation arrest acne. You want to use Salsy toner Glycolic acid, which I love the glycolic 10% from faciality and a retinoid. So I would do glycolic 10% in the morning and then Alfred at night because Alpha already has 10% glycolic in it. So you're getting glycolic with the retinoid, which is, like, the best combination. Yeah.
A
Glow tone or brilliant tone for budget friendly pigment corrector.
B
Brilliant tone is going to be better for pigment. Glow tone is going to be better for redness.
A
What's your favorite sunscreen besides tone Smart?
B
I love Lipid shield. It reduces inflammation. It's so silky. It feels so good on the skin, and it's wonderful for sun damage.
A
If you stop using the hair serum, will you lose results?
B
No, but you won't be getting the results as fast as you've had them. And if you have an ongoing condition that's causing you to have hair loss and hair thinning, it's gonna take over over time. Right.
A
Do you have a recommendation on any spray that can be used to set makeup?
B
I love, love, love, love the say spray. I like the iconic London spray. If we're talking, like, makeup stuff, those are the two that I love. And then for skincare that I use to set makeup sometimes will be the hydrating mist from color Science. And then I also Love the hydrobiome mist.
A
What should I use for scars from stitches on my face?
B
Intense serum from plated and then restorative
A
Hair creating Sun to skin kit for summer Hyacinth Restorative. Ha Plated calm question mark.
B
I love that. And CBD mist if you have it. CBD mist is the best for sunburns. You can ask Tyler and I because we are very white and the sun loves to burn us.
A
Do you need to rotate skincare to make sure products stay effective?
B
No, but you can switch them. Switch up one or two things in your regimen after, you know, six or seven months. But like your core products, you don't really need to do that.
A
Yeah, I feel like the thing that you switch the most dependent on how your skin is doing is like the additives. Like, say like you just got off a flight, so you want to use oxygen. Deep pore mask.
B
Yeah, like what I'm using lately. I have the worst chroma.
A
Get it, girl?
B
Oh, my God. Like, literally jeans in my labia right now.
A
But yeah, I feel like that's really. I mean, if you're feeling super oily or you're having some breakouts, maybe a sulfur mask.
B
Yeah.
A
Like your core products.
B
Let's say your core products.
A
Have you tried the new Skin Better product? It'll be launched by the time this comes out.
B
I have. It's insane. We actually were one of the first people to know about it because we had a huge meeting with l' Oreal last year. Last year when we did the launch with my mom for Maestro Revive. So this is long awaited. I've seen a lot of slander and people like a hyaluronic acid serum. And like, that's what I thought too. I'm not going to lie. I was like, what is this? But I'm here to settle some rumors. Okay. Where I need to look in the camera. This is like one of the last four to five products that Jonah Shaknai, the founder of Skin Butter Science, had his hands on. So it's good stuff. When my fear will start with Skin butter is going to be when they get to that fifth formula. And now it's all in l' Oreal's hands. I think they're going to do an amazing job. I just obviously, like, you know, I fell in love with Skin Better because of the people behind it and the people that were finding these technologies and putting these products together. So, you know, we're anxious and excited to see what they do after his last creations come. I mean, I have High hopes. And I know that they have the money and the backing to continue that level of expertise. That skin butter, you know, is just known to be cutting edge. But, yeah, this product was one of those products that was under the original founders of skin butter. So that's exciting. And a lot of people, like, it's a l' Oreal product. It's. I mean, it is, because l' Oreal owns them now, but it's not. And, yeah, it's just really amazing how this actually, like, plumps up the skin and makes your skin look so sculpted and lifted. Like, you got filler. I thought it would just be, like, another hyaluronic acid serum as well, but the clinicals behind it are insane. And, like, when they started showing those before and afters, and we had people in our clinic using it, it's crazy. So I'm actually really excited about it. This is something that I've been looking for for a while. One of the reasons we brought on, you know, Volume cream. And they work in very different ways, and they can actually work great together. But, yeah, I'm excited.
A
Yeah. No, it's. And it's another, like, novel ingredient. You know, like, hyaluronic acid has been hyaluronic acid for so long, but they were able to conjugate yet another molecule. I mean, that's what made the brand. What it is, is because of alpharette and how they were able to bring together retinoic acid and lactic acid, and they've done it again with hyaluronic acid and alpha lipoic acid, and, like, make two ingredients that are both or, like, make an ingredient, hyaluronic acid, that is so difficult to get deep into the skin. Because, I mean, even with high molecular weight, low molecular weight, like, so many factors, it's still hard to get down to the dermal level. Like, it may get low past the epidermis. And, like, we have some brands that work really well deep into the skin, but, like, the way that this functions is still different because it's filler inspired, like, hyaluronic acid as an injectable. Yeah. And so this is.
B
This is not really about hydration. This is about volume.
A
Yeah. So y' all will be excited. I've been using it for, like, two and a half weeks.
B
Yeah, something like that.
A
Three weeks now. And I feel like. I mean, you know me, my biggest insecurity is this right here, my nasolabial folds. And how do they look? I feel like they look better.
B
They look way better. Yeah.
A
Like mine, I had Some deep ass nasolabial folds. I was like, I need to go see a surgeon for this. But I have been loving this product. And for someone who's actually like, aging and experiencing a lot of volume loss, I think it's going to be huge. Yeah. How is the house build coming along?
B
Oh, it's coming.
A
Yeah, it's coming.
B
They're about to start paint take the longest thing. And everyone's like, whatever time they tell you, add like a fucking year to that and add $2 million to that. And they weren't wrong.
A
They weren't wrong. They were not wrong. But we're good.
B
It's all good. I've had to pay so much cash, though, on this house because our construction loan was like, not right. And it's the prices where the house. The houses. All the houses are supposed to be like a certain range. And then they like, went up double.
A
Well, the problem.
B
Which is fine.
A
And I'm sure people listening to this won't understand this. Savannah was. Savannah's always the first. She has to be. She is. What's the word I want to use for it?
B
You're trendsetter. Trailblazer. Yeah.
A
Yeah. You're a trailblazer. So, like, you were the. She was the first to get into this neighborhood. And this neighborhood is surrounded by another nice neighborhood, but the other nice neighborhood was built in like the early 2000s.
B
So they comped all the houses near us, which are beautiful homes, but they're older homes and it's. They're not as big. There's not. It's just like a completely different. It's not. It's.
A
It. They had to use them as comps, but they are not comparable.
B
So now that there's houses built in
A
her neighborhood, they're all the same as hers, but that is not what her appraisal value was based on. So it's.
B
So I've been like, having like, overages on everything, Change orders on everything.
A
Yeah.
B
And it's not even that I'm picking, like, psychotic, like, bougie, top of the line stuff. Like, it's nice, but, like, it's comparable to what other people in the neighborhood are doing. It's just that I'm having to pay out of pocket because it wasn't. It wasn't built. Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
So that's been so fun.
A
Yeah.
B
Added to the last, actually.
A
Yeah.
B
But yeah, no, it's been great. I think it just takes forever because I don't even know like, what was, like, the last hold up. Like they were waiting on the Fountain. Like, there's just like so many back and forth. And then also, like, we were really bad about approving stuff and going to meetings for the house because our same designer for the house on our spa and that was the priority. So like, I can't even, like, I'm not going to have money to pay for the house if I don't have my spa.
A
Because our lease was running out at our old space.
B
Yeah.
A
Like, we need to finish this fucking spa. And the spa was, as you can imagine after seeing it, very labor intensive. Very design choice intensive.
B
And so like by that was like nine hour meeting days. And I was like, I. If you make me look at cabinet designs right now, I'm going to blow my brains out.
A
Yeah. Yeah. We would get like six hours.
B
And I was like, and I know I'm gonna just pick shit just to pick it and be done with it. And like, for your dream home, like, you're forever home. Like, I know I'm gonna look back and be like, I wish I like really paid attention. Yeah. And didn't just pick stuff out of like, necessity, but actually, like, really took the time. And I took the time in every other phase. So like this last phase, I was just like, let's just like, I mean, I'm in no rush. I love my current home. It's not like I have another child and there's no room for my child. Like, the house I'm in Now is completely 1000% okay.
A
Yeah.
B
Obviously. Would I love to have a pool and all of the things already. Yes. But like, I'm not gonna like, rush it and put so much money into something and then like, make a decision I don't really love and then have to like renovate and put more money into it to fix it. Like, I just don't want to do that. So I was like, I need to like, get this spa open and then I can start like really looking at stuff and like deciding. Because like, at one point they were like, everything you said today, we're throwing in the trash. Because you're just like, yes, sure, whatever.
A
Yeah.
B
Because it's just like, it's so many little teeny tiny decisions and it's so hard to imagine, like, how everything's gonna look, coming together. I don't even know. It's just like a lot, it's like a lot of. I mean, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. I'm so grateful. I'm so thankful, like, to be able to build my dream home and like, do it by myself. And like that's such like a huge accomplishment. But it is also like for anyone that has built a home like it is, it's work even when you have help. It's so many decisions and like I'm doing it by myself, you know, like, I don't have anyone to like help me make choices.
A
That's me. I currently rent a suite for the past four years and I want to expand but I'm scared. Scared. Any advice?
B
My advice is how did you know
A
that you needed to get.
B
I had too many clients and not enough space to fill them and I needed an extra room. So while someone is micro needling and numbing for micro needling, I could be doing another service. So if you feel like you're turning people away, it's been time to get a bigger space.
A
If you could only purchase one lipid serum or intense serum.
B
Intense serum.
A
What's your favorite face wash for acne?
B
Honestly. Idyllic cleanser. Glymed eats the house down.
A
What oil do you use for oil pulling?
B
It's called Kopen K O P P E N on my shop. Mine.
A
Okay, last question. Are there any books that you read that impacted how you grew your business and sales?
B
Um, I would say I don't really be reading.
A
I feel like you had that dog in you. Yeah, you should be writing the books, not reading them.
B
Yeah, I'm really like not a reader.
A
You've read some books?
B
Read the Bible. I've read like Think and Grow Richer. I've read the Four Agreements Against My Will. I've read like, I like little Poets Fatality. I read that. I like like little help self help books and stuff. But I think the best experience is living same.
A
That's all I got.
B
That's all I got.
A
We love you guys.
B
God bless America and we'll see you next Monday.
A
Bye, y'.
B
All.

Savanna's Non-Negotiable Products (03:48):
Shower Routine & Masking (04:08):
Uses anti-anxiety aromatherapy scrubs and always applies hydrating masks in the shower to prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL):
"If you're taking a hot, steamy shower and not protecting your skin... you're doing it wrong.... [Wearing a mask] pushes that mask deeper into your skin and you're going to walk out like a juicy grape instead of a shriveled up raisin."
Exfoliant Scrub Guide (05:50):
Favorite Perfume (06:45):
"Balm of Calm" by Penhaligon's and "Scenic Rose"—"It's like walking through a strawberry patch with a matcha in your hand and rose petals flying in the wind."

Can't be eradicated, but can be minimized:

"No, but you can switch up one or two things in your regimen after, you know, six or seven months. But like your core products, you don't really need to do that." (Savanna)
On Post-Spa and House Construction Stress (21:11):
"I've had to pay so much cash, though, on this house because our construction loan was not right... It's just a lot of... I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. I'm so grateful and thankful... but it is also, for anyone that has built a home, it's work. Even when you have help." (22:58, Savanna)
Book Recommendation (24:39):
"I don't really be reading... I've read the Bible. I've read Think and Grow Richer. I've read The Four Agreements against my will... but I think the best experience is living." (24:39, Savanna)
