Hi, guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Blondest podcast. I am your co host. Actually, I'm the host today. This is my show. I'm interviewing Tyler Jacoby and I'm very. I'm very happy to welcome our guest, Savannah Bota to the podcast. Everyone give a round of applause. Okay, so tell me about your childhood. Okay, back to Yalls questions. Number one. Is glacial like icing in machine form? No, there's so much. I'll expand on this because she's tired. There's so much more that goes into glacial.
B
There's so much more that glows into.
A
It glows into is. It's precision controlled cooling to the sk skin. And you are getting so much more benefit than just so.
B
Right now it's Shark Week, but it won't be Shark Week when this comes out. But I made this post if you guys saw about the sharks and it's like all the anti sunscreen found it and I don't know why. And like, they're being so mean.
A
Yeah, they're like. They're like. No, the most dangerous thing is the sunscreen that that girl is wearing because she's getting cancer from it.
B
Yeah, like, babe, wrong page.
A
Yeah, you are. How did you get lost?
B
You strayed so far from home. My page is not a safe space for you. No, and I'm just reading the comments because they're being so mean and there's some estheticians that are like very like anti sunscreen, which is like wackadoo wild.
A
You're not welcome here. Does that mean I can see?
B
It's the Alibaba esthetician license for me. TEEMU it is. I'm sorry if you are full on esthetician. You don't believe in sunscreen. Like, I understand if you're trying to say there are some chemical sunscreens on the market. Yes, they've been linked back to like endocrine disruptors and cancer. But not every chemical sunscreen has those ingredients.
A
I was about to make such a bad joke.
B
Yeah, don't get cancelled. I already, like, called them a TEEMU aspiration.
A
We're so tired right now that I can't be held accountable.
B
We will be offensive.
A
I can't be held accountable for what we say.
B
I miss when I used to be ruthless.
A
God, how nice would it be if I could talk like I do in my group chat?
B
No, we'd be cancelled. You'd probably be like kicked out of a couple states.
A
You're better than I am.
B
Yeah, you're pretty bad. I feel like you get away with it.
A
I could get away with it way more. For sure.
B
I can't. A straight white woman.
A
Yeah. No.
B
Yeah. I gotta tread very lightly.
A
And you're successful, but I don't really.
B
Have anything to say other than I just think they're silly. Goofy. Yeah. Do you remember when I was in Hawaii and I posted a reel and I was drinking a Diet Coke and applying my sunscreen? And the scroll was like, drinking Diet Coke and applying cancer? Do you remember that?
A
I do. Oh, my gosh. I'm sorry, y'. All. I choked.
B
I'm literally just trying to enjoy my vacation.
A
Oh, well, their parents are probably cousins. How do you deal with anxiety.
B
Lately? My anxiety's been a lot worse.
A
Yeah. Crying, crashing out.
B
Don't crash out. I don't. I'm really good at internalizing everything. I feel.
A
She just likes to. I feel like you like to listen to music.
B
Yeah, I think music has become a really good outlet for me.
A
Yeah.
B
And like, working out or driving. Getting incapacitated with marijuana.
A
These are not recommendations. You asked how she likes to handle it.
B
Let's call it Healing Frequencies. Taking a bath, Burning a candle, Taking magnesium.
A
How long does the skin better compact last you? I'm gonna be so real. I don't think I've ever finished one.
B
No. I always get a new one.
A
Yeah.
B
We are, like, best friends with our skin better rep. So we raid her house.
A
Yeah.
B
So if I'm like. Feel like it gets, like, dingy, I'm like.
A
Yeah, well, part of it's that you have to promote it and so you.
B
Yeah, and I'm not going to promote a copy thing.
A
That would be great.
B
So I don't think. Yeah, I don't think I've ever finished one either.
A
I've never finished one because I wear tonesmart during the day.
B
But I like, cancel. They make your wasteful for getting rid of it. So maybe we should, like, make a pile and donate them. But then I give them up. Nobody wants your scraps. So it's like, what do you do? What do you fucking do?
A
Yeah.
B
You can never win. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
A
Well, they also get, like, really gross. Easy.
B
You're really selling it.
A
No, but I mean, like, with us, like, we throw them in a bag. Yeah. We're dirty. No, but you mean. You know what I mean. Like, the sand and stuff like that, like, on the compact, like when you, like, have sand on your face.
B
And I were, like, on a fucking, like, tornado of sand at Saint Bart's.
A
So it just ruined the compact because the sand was ingrained in the compact and there's no fixing that.
B
It was literally like exfoliation while you apply was literally an exploding. No.
A
We would have to go to the bathroom like four times. Oh my God.
B
Do you remember your eyebrows were just like coated. It looks like you're doing like festival makeup. Like I was like, okay, Coachella. Avant garde.
A
Yeah. Like we had to go.
B
What is it called when you go to the Met? What do they do? What do they call it?
A
Couture? What?
B
No, like when you go to the Met. Like it's like a type of style that they do. Is it avant garde?
A
No, the met just has themes.
B
No, I know, but when they have a theme, like it's called something, Tyler. Like camp.
A
Camp. Yeah, but that was a theme of one year.
B
Okay, well anyways. Okay. That one year at camp, like you're giving camp.
A
Okay.
B
Yeah, that's what I meant.
A
My teen is on idyllic already needs something for melasma. Also mixed darker skin tone.
B
I would get them the glow tone from faciality since they're a teenager.
A
How common is melasma in teens?
B
It's probably just pigment.
A
Okay. I feel like I've never heard of it.
B
It's more like hormonal induced or medications. I haven't either.
A
If I'm getting laser hair removal on my face. Will plated make it grow back?
B
No, not at all. Different formulation than hair.
A
Skin discoloration after shingles help.
B
Even intensive pill pads. If it's on her face. Restorative. Ha. If it's on her body. Encore.
A
Best product for men's razor burn on neck and face. Low key Hydroqual thoughts on skin pen over active acne.
B
I'm doing my own research on this. I'll get back to you when I have.
A
Do I have to take oral meds to have clear skin cystic acne girly here?
B
Absolutely not. You need to regulate your nervous system, lower inflammation, heal your gut health and get on a consistent regimen with a good balance of exfoliation and hydration for your skin. And you need to have something that's killing bacteria like benzoyl peroxide or hydrogen peroxide or.
A
Somebody asked and I'll answer this one. How do we order all of the travel size Skin Better products? So skin better if you are a loyal customer who we appreciate so much, who has traditionally shopped through our Skin better link, our affiliate store. They do not sell the travel sizes on their website and you will need to go to our website, shop.savannahbota.com and you can look up any Skin Better product there and it will have a little button that says request a quote and that is where you'll be able to pick the sizes. You can also order the full size from our website by requesting the quote, but we do have the travel sizes listed for each product as well. And you just add the quantity, fill out your information. It'll send a request over to our team who will approve it basically right away, and you'll receive an invoice for it, which you can pay, and then it'll ship out just like any other order. So that is how you get Skin Better products, travel size edition. And that's how you can also, if you're someone who uses multiple lines like plated Hydrinity Skin Better, you can get everything in one order that way too, instead of like shopping on SBA for these products and then Skin Better for the other products. So word to the wise, can you use those peel pads with a retinoid in the same routine or would you skip it?
B
You can do it.
A
You can do it.
B
You can do it.
A
Shampoo and conditioner. Question mark.
B
Just that. Momo Daviness.
A
That's what she uses.
B
I love Momo.
A
I need to get back on Daviness. I was. I was the OG Daviness.
B
Yeah, you were. I'll give you that.
A
Day, day, all day.
B
Day.
A
That's what I need. I need it back in my life.
B
Sephora.
A
They sell to Sephora. They did not used to.
B
Oh, they're sellouts.
A
I'm sure they're making way more money now.
B
I know.
A
If you could only choose one for acne on cheeks. Lipid or plated Lipid. Period Base reality or Skin Better for hormonal acne?
B
Both. That's how I get my best results. Little combination.
A
What are your thoughts on the Jan Marini line?
B
My really good friend loves it, but I get really good results what I have. So I don't feel like it's necessary for me. And I don't love all the fragrance that she has going on in there, but I don't think it's like, bad. I just like what I like what I have. And if I felt like I didn't have something comparable, I would get it.
A
Yeah, that's the thing. It's like I feel like, like there.
B
Are certain, certain skin care lines that I like, fucking hate. Would rather like not wash my face and use it, but there's lines that it's like just because I Don't have it doesn't mean it's not good. It's just like we're not trying to.
A
Be the Cheesecake factory of aesthetics. Like, it's very highly curated on my line. Yeah.
B
Damn.
A
Yeah. So you've stolen my lines before, too, on stage. I've watched it happen before my eyes, so.
B
That'S fair.
A
Yeah, we're curated. Every product serves a purpose. And we're not going to have like 10 options of the same thing because then what's the point? It'll just confuse people and we only have the best take with that. What you will. How do you feel about physical exfoliation?
B
I like it. I think for the right person. I think texture, dullness, aging, and also people that have congestion that's not inflamed. It's great.
A
What's good for skin tags besides surgical removal?
B
You can burn them off, you can freeze them off and cut them off.
A
Where does a lighter ha serum go in skin Better routine first after toner. Are there any at home peels that are safe to use?
B
Peel pads?
A
Yeah. Active peel system if you're pregnant.
B
Yeah.
A
Favorite brand of nail polish.
B
Oh, no, baby girl, these are dip Op.
A
Is that what it's called?
B
Opi.
A
Opi.
B
I don't know what color this. I think this is the DND brand. I think it's called She's a Peach.
A
She's a peach. What do I do for these horrible pores? Sounds like me using refining foam peel pads.
B
She's using clearing serum and maestro.
A
She said maestro but not clearing serum.
B
She's clearing serum. She needs salsa.
A
Like, what are your thoughts on Rhodes Skincare?
B
It's cutie. It's Cutie Pop, Girly pop. But it's not for people that, like, need corrective.
A
Yeah. You know, imagine how nice it would be just to, like, to have skin and be able to use whatever the fuck you wanted on it. Like, just fun stuff.
B
Yeah, but like, that's really teenagers. Because then when you hit, like even.
A
When I was a teen, maybe like when I was eight years old, I could have.
B
When you get older, you have to do anti aging shit.
A
Yeah, that's true.
B
Leave me alone.
A
Did you get sculpture or more filler recently? No, I don't think so. Any contraindications for exosome use?
B
No.
A
Do you have product advice for ingrown hairs?
B
Are we talking about the face or the body? Body. I would say use Refining Scrub Perfect Body Wash, Alpharette Body. And then if we're talking the face, I would say Peel Pads and lipid serum.
A
What all does your consultation include?
B
Oh, God, can you do that one?
A
So our in clinic consults.
B
I have a migraine right now.
A
So our in clinic consults include coming into the clinic, getting a. I mean a spa water. Yes, of course. Greeted by wonderful Alyssa and Sierra at the front. Our client coordinator is going what I'll say, full comprehensive. Yeah. Background of your background check. Yeah. We actually run your Social Security. So if you call, you need to have all that we need your birth certificate, electricity bill. No, but you come in, we are going to ask. Get to the nitty gritty, ask about your history, ask about medications. I mean all the normal things of a consultation.
B
We remember when you client coordinated that one time and that girl told you that she had taken like 13 plan Bs in like a week.
A
Oh, yeah, I do remember that. That was. That was crazy. I remember I went back to Savannah and I was like, I don't know what to say to that. I just smiled and waved. And then you get a Vizia picture, of course, so that we can track your progress, see all your initial, like, benchmark, I guess, of where your skin's doing. Um, and then we, Savannah will write you a full custom regimen and that's all you get on the day of. A hundred dollars of the consultation price does go towards products that you purchase on that day. Every client SBA has to be on a regimen provided by us because as Savannah always says, your regimen is 80% of the battle. So if you are not on products that are recommended by her, you're not going to get the results that you're coming in for. And it's going to leave to like, it's going to lead to just issues because you're not going to be happy with your results. And it's not even something we can control if you're not using the products that we recommend at home. And then at the end of it, you will get your custom regimen and then Savannah will recommend a treatment plan and we'll get you scheduled out.
B
Yay.
A
Ooh, that was a mouthful.
B
That was a mouthful. You're good though.
A
I always do well, girly. When do you sleep?
B
Now this time? Yeah, I have an hour drive home though, so that's gonna be fun. Yeah. Not all. I mean, I have just price I pay.
A
How do you handle your social media and what tech tools do you use for content?
B
Well, recently I've been making Tyler do a lot, but I don't really use tech tools. I just use Vibes the vibe. I really don't use anything special.
A
No, it's literally vibes. Everything is vibe based. Plane travel. Skincare must haves.
B
Plane. Like a plane potato or like. No, I'm flying on a plane. Okay, well, highest and active for sure. And sunscreen. I really don't. Unless, like, it's like, a very long flight. Try to wash your face, like, in the airport, not on the plane. Unless, like, you can't make it and, like, you have, like, a really short layover and you have to, like, get back on the plane. Then you can wash it on the plane, which is, like, my favorite thing. But I've done it.
A
We have done it.
B
But clean skin club towels, sunscreen. Highest and active. That's what I would say.
A
How do you manage your employees for them to take you seriously as a young boss?
B
I just hired a good team, I think.
A
Are you close enough to that mic?
B
Yeah, I think Spider would tell me.
A
Okay. I was just making sure. I guess you're just loud.
B
Spider would tell me. I am loud. Spider is our podcast person, friend, genius extraordinaire. Fast. We love you, Spider. I remember the first time we recorded at our new studio, and he was like, oh, I didn't know what to expect. But you guys are actually good. Remember that?
A
Yeah, I do remember that.
B
It's like slay. Because today he's gonna be like, I take all that back. Savannah fucking sucks. I'm so tired. Spider employees.
A
Young boss. Respect.
B
I think I just have a good team. I respect them. They respect me. It's just a good situation.
A
Can trio cause itchy skin? No, I think my lips are sunburnt. I use gloss, but might have to do something else. Ideas?
B
Her lips are sunburnt.
A
Mm.
B
I'd put sieve on them and lipid.
A
Serum and lip shine and.
B
Well, not when they're burnt. I wouldn't do that. No.
A
Well, to avoid it in the future.
B
Yeah. But while they're burnt, I would do civ lipid and lux lip. Yeah.
A
Helpful tips to not pick at your face.
B
Pimple patches. Honestly, this faciality one. So I only like those because they're hydrocolloid. They don't have any ingredients infused in them. And before anyone's like. But the LED patch or whatever has infusion. It does, but it only stays on skin for 10 minutes. People that use pimple patches typically have them on for hours. Okay. Overnight while they run their errands at work. So short contact is fine because it's not going to cause a burn. But if you have something Occluded on the skin. High percentage of acid for a very long period of time. It can cause a burn, so I don't love that. And then icing your skin also will help. Kind of give you something to do to feel like you're benefiting it without digging at it. And then I like using a spot treatment where you can't actually see the acne anymore. So, like, charcoal or the sulfur mask is really, like, chalky, so you can't really see the actual zit. So I feel like it helps you not pick.
A
How long are we going to gatekeep, where SBA 2.0 is located?
B
Till the day I open.
A
Honestly, it's crazy that we've kept it secret for so long.
B
I don't want people, like, stalking it.
A
But what if we were like, hey, y', all, we're moving to Alabama.
B
No, they know it's Texas, but we're gatekeeping. Just because I don't want anyone, like, trying to, like, snoop.
A
Yeah.
B
Or, like, show up when I'm trying to, like, be chilling.
A
Mm. Okay, last question. Best budget moisturizer and best bougie moisturizer.
B
Budget comfort cream bougie trio. You know, they say sleepy driving is worse than drunk driving.
A
Yeah, they do say that, and I have experienced it. I used to work in the middle of the night, babe. I know.
B
Falling apart from bed tonight with you.
A
You've been going to bed early recently.
B
Oh, I think I have a parasite from when I was in Mexico.
A
Did you drink the water? What? Why?
B
I forgot.
A
You forgot? You were the one when I went to Mexico. You know what on my ass about brushing my teeth with bottled water?
B
No. Oh, parasite. I think it's making me, like, depressed and mean. I'm just gonna start blaming everything on this parasite. Be like, sorry, it was a. It's my parasite.
A
I will go in there and take it out of you myself.
B
Oh, but I've been having, like, diarrhea for, like, three weeks since I've been back. I really think I have it. And then when I did that call with that lady that does, like, peptides, which, by the way, I need to text her while I tell this story. We text Ashley, just be like, hey, when's that shipping? Because I didn't even pay, so that's crazy. But she's, like, an intuitive nurse practitioner, and she was, like, holding things up to the screen and was like, yes, no. Yes, no. And then she was like, you have a parasite. I was like, I know. I'm supposed to start a parasite cleanse. But I'm, like, nervous because. Scared. We're done. Parasite cleanse. Oh, my God, I feel delirious. Maybe it's the bright lights. I don't know. I love you guys. I'm sorry my energy is, like, so low, but at least we had a podcast. It is better than nothing.
A
Yeah. It was either this or nothing.
B
Yeah. No, for real.
A
We love you guys. You know when the next time you see us, we'll be literally, like, weeks out from SpO 2.0.
B
SVO 2.0.
A
Yeah. I'm done talking. We're done for today. That's a wrap. Bye, y'. All.
B
Bye.
