Savannah
Hi, guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Bondage podcast.
Tyler
Hi, guys. We miss you. We just got back, actually, like, two days ago from our little yearly family trip. And so, honestly, a lot happened. We were there for quite a while, so we got some things. I took notes while we were there because after the first, like, two days, we were like, okay, this is probably going to be an interesting trip.
Savannah
Mm. Yeah.
Tyler
Any opening thoughts?
Savannah
Um, no, not really.
Tyler
No. This was Sarah's first time traveling internationally, so it wasn't that long of a flight, though. We went to Hawaii last year, and I feel like it was, like, the same amount of travel time, but it kind of felt different.
Savannah
Yeah, he did better. I think this time there was just, like, this guy and wife in front of us that were just, like, shushing him, but he, like, wasn't crying, so.
Tyler
He'S just a talker.
Savannah
He just talks the whole flight.
Tyler
That's what he did in Hawaii, too. He wasn't crying in Hawaii either. I was just making whale noise.
Savannah
Yeah, whale noises for eight hours. Yeah. But he really doesn't cry on flights, which is good. He's just a talker. He just talks constantly and does not stop talking.
Tyler
I mean, it's not just fights.
Savannah
Yeah, he just talks. He's like me. He is a yapper. He loves to talk. His vocabulary has gotten so good, and it was just amazing to, you know, kind of integrate him a little bit more with the beach and the ocean. I've been taking him to the beach and ocean every year since he was six months, so I'm trying to make him an ocean baby. Did not get in the ocean this time. He was a pool guy. I won't blame him. I do blame him. But, I mean, I think the ocean's hard for toddlers. I don't know. When he was a baby, he loved the ocean. Um, I don't think he really had a say, but he now is very opinionated. And, you know, if he doesn't want to do something, he absolutely does not want to do it. He's very stubborn, which is a toddler thing. So I think maybe next year he'll like the ocean war. But to be honest, St. Bart's the water is pretty rough. I don't know if it was just, like, the time of year, which it is hurricane season, but typically this area doesn't get. We didn't get a lot of rain. Like, it was maybe an hour, and then it would stop. It was like here and there, touch and go all around. Would I go back to St. Barts. No, I wouldn't. I like Anguilla a lot better, which is a hop and a skip away. I feel like Anguilla is just, like, way more low key and chill. It's not like a party place. I will say Saint Barts has better food and more shopping, if you're into that. And just like, more places to go. In Guilla, like, it's really just like the Four Seasons, Captuluca, and a couple other resorts, but really not that many. In a lot are like, homes that people own or, like, residents that you can, like, rent out. Yeah. And then, like, the food is like, all like, local Caribbean food, which is great. Yeah. And I don't know, I don't think I love the French vibe. I hate to say I don't think I would do great in France. They're just not my favorite culture. So very, very judgy and not very nice. But I don't think that they're not nice. I think to Americans, they're not nice because Americans are, like, overly friendly. Like, we would go to a store and I'm like, do you have this shirt? She's like, no, we don't have it. Nope. What you have. What we have is what we have. Or everything I have is out. And like, in America, like, they would, like, literally pretend to, like, look it up, be like, babe, let me check for you. And, like, pull up their phone and be like, no, like, they're gone. I'm so sorry. Like, I want to slip my wrist for you. Like, horrible, but.
Tyler
Or like, which size do you think looks better on me? And they're like, I don't know. Like, what do you think looks better on you?
Savannah
Yeah, it's like that.
Tyler
Clearly. That's why I'm asking you, because I don't know.
Savannah
Yeah. Or like, what color?
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
And they're like, well, what color? Literally looked at me was like, yeah, yeah. And I'll say, I'll take any color. And this guy was like, so if I bring you ugly orange, you'll take ugly orange? I was like, okay, sure. Yeah. But, yeah, I just think French people are nice, but they're not overly nice in customer service.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
Like, they, like, kind of like, you know, they're. It's like, I feel like there needs to be somewhere in the middle, because sometimes when I'm in America, which is all the time, but like, sometimes here, like, I'll go to a store and like, they're like, at my house and around the corner, and I'm like, I don't Want to fucking talk to you. Like, there's certain times where I'm, like, in a yapping mood, and I want to, like, kiki and talk to, like, the sales associates and, like, be buddy buddy with them. But then there's other times, you know, where you just want to get in and get your shit and get out, and you don't want to get Dutch.
Tyler
Bros. Like, how they, like, want to be your best friend at Dutch Bros. And I'm like, that's not my business model.
Savannah
Yeah, I feel that. But again, for me, it depends on the day. Like, some days I'm like, let's talk about all your trauma. Like, you know, other days I'm like, I just want my iced coffee. Don't talk to me. So I think there needs to be, like, a happy medium, because I feel like. Yeah. Because it is a French island, so you get a lot of that. And it's very, like, who's who. Everyone's, like, in Designer. Everyone's, like, you know, dressed to the nines. I mean, I think it's cool to see, like, the fashion. Like, I saw, like, a lot of women just dressed so stunning, gorgeous, beautiful. But I don't know. It's kind of like dystopia. It's a little weird. A bunch of, like, very wealthy people on this little island, and then it's, like, very party, party, party. Like, a lot of partying. We only went out one night, which was enough for me. I had to drag Tyler out of the club at, like, 1am Because I was out. I was done. He could have gone all night, and he did. He continued to keep going. Apparently, I didn't learn about it till the next day.
Tyler
We're not talking about that.
Savannah
Oh, I'm not gonna tell that story. Don't worry. That's a secret that will stay on the trip. He had fun.
Tyler
Yeah. I just. We went back to the hotel, and.
Savannah
I went back to the hotel and Tyler went to do what Tyler does.
Tyler
No, we went back to the hotel. I just walked out on the balcony.
Savannah
And then come back other places, too. But it's okay. You only live once. He's fine. Yeah. Anyway, so the night was young. Yeah. Wasn't the only thing that was young. Just getting your age. I don't know. Okay. Anyway, back to where we were.
Tyler
I think we should start.
Savannah
I went home and went to bed.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
Because he's like, party. And I'm like, it doesn't matter how late I stay up. Cyrus will wake up at the exact same time, you know?
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
Like it doesn't matter if I go out till 3am Like Cyrus is still going to wake up at 6am yeah. And I can't sleep in when I have a toddler. You just can't.
Tyler
I didn't sleep in either.
Savannah
I know, but you have more youth in life to you.
Tyler
I don't know about that. You do, but I don't know because the roles were reversed this year. You were wanting to go out on New Year's and I was like, I'm 87 years old.
Savannah
I was going through like a little bit of a minty be. It's. We're always on different levels. When he wants to go out, I don't want to and I want to go out. He doesn't want to.
Tyler
We were on the same level that night. You just called it quits halfway through being on that level.
Savannah
People were getting too touchy with me.
Tyler
People were sweaty and gross.
Savannah
Everyone. Yeah. When everyone's getting sweaty and like too touchy, I'm like, don't touch me. You know, I don't think it was.
Tyler
Like a harassment type of touch though. They were just.
Savannah
Because they bring it to everyone. Yeah, I know.
Tyler
They're just like a gr. We like made friends with this bachelor party.
Savannah
Made friends and they thought Tyler was my lover and they all made bets.
Tyler
On it and yeah, they were wrong. Well, yeah.
Savannah
Yeah. And then we hung out with a bachelor party and they're all really nice finance bros from New York.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
Shout out. If y' all listen to the podcast, I give them some business advice.
Tyler
Cameron.
Savannah
Hey, Cameron. I don't know the other.
Tyler
Yeah, that's the other name I remember.
Savannah
Flo. Wasn't one named Flo.
Tyler
Flo.
Savannah
Yeah, yeah, yeah. But there was. I mean, again, I don't go out. I gave up pretty much my entire 20s to build my business and I have no regrets. But once in a blue moon, when in St. Barts, might as well go out and you know, when we're in Italy. I did not go out once and we were child free and I never went out.
Tyler
Yeah, I remember I was begging.
Savannah
Yeah. You wanted to go to music on the rocks. I know, I'm sorry. They didn't open till 11. Dude.
Tyler
It was just us three there.
Savannah
Couldn't do it.
Tyler
Not like we had plans.
Savannah
I just. It takes a. I don't really.
Tyler
Like, you have to be really in the mood.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
Not even slightly in the mood.
Savannah
Like I have to like really, really strongly want to go dance.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
And I mean, honestly, Saints Parts was different vibe because Everybody's having a good time. Everyone's like singing and dancing. It's not trashy. No one's like, giving like raper vibes or molester. I mean, it feels very safe, you know, and then you don't really have to worry about, like, people taking your purse if you leave it down. I don't know, it's just like, it's a very safe place to be. And really good music, just like really fun, you know? And I feel like clubs, at least here in Dallas, from my experience, like, everyone's just kind of like doing the head bod. Head nod to themselves, you know, and it's just like sardine packed. I don't know. This felt a lot more my vibe if I were to be a party girl.
Tyler
Yeah. Because it wasn't even like. Because I feel like clubs here are.
Savannah
Like all like kind of raunchy.
Tyler
Yeah. And like rap music and stuff like this. But I feel like this was like 80s, like 80s music. Like people like screaming dancing queen at one in the morning.
Savannah
And older crowd too, which I like. Everyone, like, I think we're probably the youngest people there, which is pretty normal for anywhere Tyler and I go. I feel like we're people look at us like, why are you here? You are way too young. But yeah, it was fun. But yeah, once everyone started getting sweaty and just a little bit too handsy on me, I was just like, not like in a sexual way, maybe in a sexual way. I was just. I was good. It's good on it.
Tyler
I feel like it wasn't even a sexual way. It was like them, like, you know, like how like the frat bros, like, shake shoulders and stuff like that.
Savannah
Maybe to you. I was getting twirled in a circle 87 times and I was like, I'm going to fucking fall off this table. Stop twirling me.
Tyler
Yeah, we were on top of a table, so.
Savannah
So, yeah. And then someone took their shirt off. And then another guy's head was so sweaty and his hair was. And his sweaty hair, drenched in sweat, swiped the side of my cheek. And I was like, go. I'm going, I'm leaving. But I will say, highlight of my trip was this lady. She worked at Bagatelle, the place that we went out, and she whispered in my ear and she said, you are the most elegant, classy woman here. And I don't say that lightly. I was like, babe, I was just dropping it low on a table, but thanks. And then Tyler laughed and she was like, why are you laughing? It's not funny. It's true. And I was like, he's my biggest op. But that felt made me feel really good. Yeah. Because Svanabota keeps it classy, even at a club.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
This is, like, how you keep people away from you too. You go like this. If you are watching the YouTube video, this is the dance move. But, yeah, I think, like, in a perfect world, I think the reason I don't like going out is because men don't have boundaries. Typically. I mean, it was fine. The guys we were with were really cool, except the person that spun me 87 times, and I was like, I don't want to spin. And then they can't hear you. And he's like, what? I'm like, I don't want to spin. Don't spin me. Is that you can't just, like, dance. I want a woman, like the gays and the girls club only. And, like, to get in, you have to show that you're either a girl or gay.
Tyler
I feel like that's just gay clubs. I feel like a lot of girls go there. Okay, then that's where I feel like that exists.
Savannah
Okay, well, that's where I want to go, because then you can, like, be sexy and fun, because it's, like, fun. But then, like, guys think that's, like, an invitation to, like, yeah, no here. You know what I mean?
Tyler
The guys are just gonna be like, yes, mom.
Savannah
That's what I want. That's the energy I want.
Tyler
That's so funny.
Savannah
So, yeah, I mean, it was fun. One night, out of the many poor Lance had to be home with Cyrus. But we tried to get a sitter, but Lance was not feeling it and did not want to go out with us, so. But he didn't miss much.
Tyler
Backtracking a bit to the beginning.
Savannah
What's the beginning?
Tyler
Night one. We unpack. And Savannah, obviously, if you know anything about her, she is a perfume girl. So she brings.
Savannah
Oh, I was gonna say if the second I get somewhere, I go get a massage.
Tyler
Oh, well done.
Savannah
And then make you guys unpack. That's rule Mommy pays. You pack and unpack.
Tyler
Yeah, that's fine. Not what I was talking about.
Savannah
Okay. She brought to go get a massage.
Tyler
Probably, like, 27 perfumes.
Savannah
That's an exaggeration.
Tyler
How many do you actually think? Like, count them.
Savannah
Okay. Sunsplosion, Malibu beach party. Lamar Jave Maria, Mango oud, Mango skin, Peach Minaj. Sunset hour. Hang on. I'm envisioning them. Lys Erbapira, Paula Za. What is that?
Tyler
At 11. I know.
Savannah
There's envisioning them. Hang on. I have a photographic memory. Give me a sec. Okay. Grande Sa, Mandarin Forte wave child. I think that's it.
Tyler
What about those thin ones?
Savannah
I already said that.
Tyler
Okay.
Savannah
Oh, and Bora Bora. Whoa. Which is so bright.
Tyler
So 15 plus all the travel sizes. Yes.
Savannah
Oh, and then vanilla neera oris 22 and a la coca.
Tyler
Okay, so 18. Yeah. Okay. So there were a lot of perfumes. That's the moral of the story. 27 was an exaggeration. She did get, like, five new ones while we were there.
Savannah
So you got her blanc, and then I got the vanilla, which is amazing. 700, but best vanilla you'll ever smell. One spray Neroli, and then the Cheval Blanc one, and then the 700 perfumes for my team that you and Lance lost.
Tyler
Anyway, so we get there, and True. Yeah. So we're unpacking these perfumes. I set them all up, and I'm talking to Lance, and I'm like. He's like, should we not put them here? Because Cyrus will probably touch them. And I was like, we probably shouldn't, but Savannah's gonna want to see her perfumes. Like, this is, like, the area she puts them in every single time we travel. Like, it's always on the table next to the bed. That's their spot.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
And so, lo and behold, literally 10 seconds after we set the perfumes out there, Cyrus, thankfully, it was a travel. It was a tiny travel size of Liss from Leilabo, which is.
Savannah
Honestly, guys, I am obsessed with this. Okay? If you're listening to the podcast Bestie, do not remember your name, but I remember your face. I remember your soul. You gave me a perfume sample from Leilabo. The list 41. I love you, bitch. Okay. Love. I love when people give me, like, it's my love language. When I go to a conference, people get me, like, a sample of their favorite perfume. It is like, that's your love language. It's my love language. And I loved it so much that I literally, right after I spoke, went and got it.
Tyler
So Cyrus drops this perfume travel size on the floor, shatters, smells like list times 400 in that bedroom. And so, like, immediately try to, like, clean it up a little bit. And you know what? Not trying to keep Cyrus out of there because we're all barefoot at this point. There's glass. We called the hotel to, like, come, and we asked them if they can bring it back.
Savannah
Longest time to tell this story. Maybe, like, really long.
Tyler
Moral of the story long.
Savannah
He steps on It. And Tyler gets glass in his foot.
Tyler
I've never bled like this a day in my entire life. No, like, that's an understatement to the.
Savannah
Girl who says she loves my humor, but Tyler takes 20 years to finish a sentence.
Tyler
I was talking quickly.
Savannah
Yeah, but it's like, it's giving too much info for. Just like Sarah shattered a perfume. You stepped on it. Your foot bled insanely. Like, it looked like a murder scene. I have never seen that much blood come out of you, bestie.
Tyler
Have you seen that much blood kind of adding one? Yes. From what?
Savannah
I gave birth, bitch. I had a C section.
Tyler
Okay, but I mean from like, like, yeah, from that.
Savannah
Yeah, you're not special.
Tyler
You had your stomach cut open. I had a sliver of glass that was this big.
Savannah
Because you have like bad blood clotting, your body probably can't CL blood properly cuz you're malnourished.
Tyler
There was a bath mat size, or what are they called? Cuz there's like a bath towel and then there's a bat. Do you know what I'm talking about? There's two sizes. Anyway, it was completely drenched in blood. And Cyrus was obsessed with trying to touch my blood. And I was like, we can't be doing this.
Savannah
Yeah, CS A, he doesn't have aids, he's so healthy. But he probably does have a blood clotting disorder. Most definitely.
Tyler
Next story, yellow glasses. You take it.
Savannah
I don't know. That's your story. Are we gonna tell it though?
Tyler
Like, I don't think it'll be too long.
Savannah
Tyler got glasses from a brand called Gentle Monster from one of his good friends. And they're actually really cool glasses. And where were we?
Tyler
At breakfast or at lunch?
Savannah
Oh, yeah, it was lunch. Our first, like, full day there. And I also accidentally ordered a hundred. And how much was that chicken?
Tyler
It was like $180 for a chicken. And it wasn't even good.
Savannah
Yeah, the food was really expensive. Maldives was more expensive because they have like, nothing from the island besides lobsters and coconuts. What I learned from Musa, our butler there. And so everything's imported, like the chicken, the asparagus. So. But that chicken that we got was not good. And it was very expensive. And then Tyler was just vibing and having such a good time in his little corner, just like smiling and chuckling and just like looking around. I'm like, are you on fucking acid right now? He's like, no, these yellow glasses are so cool. I'm like, let me see that. And then Lance and I put him on, and it is, like, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Like, it makes the world stunning. Gorgeous.
Tyler
Well, I think especially in, like, a beach place because, like, the water is already turquoise, but it, like, increases the contrast by, like, 100%.
Savannah
Yeah. Like, I don't think it'd be good in the winter here when, like, the grass is yellow.
Tyler
Yeah. Like, it would be depressing, but, like, in that setting. And really, I mean, I had, like, an epiphany while we were sitting there because I had, like, looked down to look at something on my phone or something, and I was like, whoa. Like, why is it depressing outside now?
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
Like, because I had walked out of our hotel room in the glasses. So that's what I just thought the world looked like. And I was like, wow, it's such a beautiful day outside. Because it was our first, like, full day actually being there. We got in at night, the night before.
Savannah
Mm.
Tyler
So I just thought that's how the world looked.
Savannah
But I'm sorry if my AIDS joke hurt your feelings.
Tyler
It didn't, but it'll hurt theirs.
Savannah
I know everyone's gonna be like, be nice to Tyler. Be nice to Tyler. Tyler needs to fucking be nice to me.
Tyler
Too soon.
Savannah
Anyway. Yeah. So then I was on a mission to find yellow lenses, and we stumbled upon the coolest glasses place. Because I was like, you know what? This would be a good gift to get Lance for his birthday. And before people like, why is Tyler on Lance's birthday trip? It was a family vacation, and it so happened to fall during the week of his birthday.
Tyler
So we go on a family vacation every year.
Savannah
Yeah. And we usually do July, but the spa was supposed to open in July. It's probably gonna open late August now, which is fine. So we had our family vacay earlier, and I was like. And honestly, I booked it just with Lance, me and Cyrus. And then I was thinking about, how am I gonna dive with Lance? Because we both love diving. We're both advanced open water scuba divers with Cyrus. And then I started thinking about, okay, we could get, like, a babysitter. But then Cyrus, like, hates strangers and new people, so he'd, like, lose his. Well, he'd lose his either way, but he would lose his last with. With Tyler or someone that we knew. And Tyler came on our family trip last year for the same reason, because we love him. And also, he helps a lot with Cyrus. Like, very, very helpful. Cyrus loves him. And, like, you know what? People can judge us, and that's Fine. I really don't care. I've gotten to the point in my life where if people don't understand our dynamic, they're never gonna understand it. And Tyler's family, we fight like brother and sister. Sometimes people think we're lovers, but deep down, we're just brothers. He's part of the family, whether you guys like it or not.
Tyler
Back to going to the glasses shop.
Savannah
Oh, yes. So we go to the glasses shop, and I'm looking around, and then this lady, I was like, do you have yellow lenses? And she's like, I have every color under the sun. And she shows me, like, these ombre ones, these single colored lenses. So basically, you pick the frame, and then you can add, like, she literally, like, has this machine that carves it into the exact same shape of the len of the lens that you want, but in whatever color you want. They're like Nikon, the ones that I did, and then I got a pair that were ombre.
Tyler
So anyways, and the coolest thing is that, like, they have every frame brand imaginable under the sun.
Savannah
Dior, Tom Ford.
Tyler
It's like a sunglasses cup, but then you get them custom made.
Savannah
Yeah. And you get to keep the original. So if, like, I got these cute black Dior ones that have black lenses traditionally, but then I can switch them for yellow if I want to be happy. And it was a very happy sunglasses. And I got Lance really cute Tom Ford ones. And then when we were there. So, like, this whole island, like, everyone's just rich and famous. It's pretty wild. Not everybody. Like, a lot of them are.
Tyler
And so everyone has money. Just some of them are famous.
Savannah
Well, some of them are trust fund babies. Well, yeah, but we're in the store, and this guy comes in with his, like, girlfriend, wife, I don't know. And her vibes were terrible. She'll never hear this. But worst vibes from a human, I think I've had in a long time. Like, just. I literally looked at Tyler. I'm like, she's a kind like a.
Tyler
She was very New York.
Savannah
Yeah. Not like, she put these glasses. I was like, oh, my God, those look so cute on you. And then I was, like, trying to be helpful, and I was like. Because I was like, this is like, the coolest thing ever. I've never seen something like this. Like, you can change whatever color. I was like, okay. Doesn't want to talk to me. That's fine. And then her little boy toy, husband, friend, lover.
Tyler
He wanted to talk to us.
Savannah
He wanted to talk. He Was like, what do you think about these glasses, guys? Are these cool? And so then we, like, helped him with his little glasses extravaganza. And I'm like, so what do you do? He's like, I'm a jeweler in New York. And I'm like, that's cool. I like your Rolex. He's like, thanks, it's vintage. And I was like, awesome. And he was like, looks at Tyler, and he's like, I actually think I designed that bracelet on your wrist. And Tyler looks down, and he was like, oh, the David Yurman one? And I'm like, I think, you know, he was like, this jeweler in New York that, like, makes, like, Van Cleef knockoffs or, like, David Yurman knockoffs. Because, like, there's a lot of, like, jewelers that do, like, similar. You know what I mean? They do stuff like that.
Tyler
I mean, David Yurman's not the craziest. Like, it's like, literally, like.
Savannah
Yeah. I didn't know. I thought, like, maybe he was just, like, a family jeweler.
Tyler
No, I. When he said, I think I designed that metal bracelet on your stack, I was like, oh.
Savannah
So ends up he is the son.
Tyler
Of David Heuerman, and he's been designing the jewelry for the past 20 years.
Savannah
Yeah. And I was like, awesome. I'm an esthetician. And then I left. So that was crazy. But the craziest person that we, like, met and exchanged words with was Kelly Rowland, which I had. I know the name, but never knew what she looked like, to be honest. I.
Tyler
And you didn't have a connection with her songs?
Savannah
Yeah, like, I know her songs, but I shouldn't know it was her.
Tyler
Yeah. So our first day, we get in, same day as Yellow Glasses day was. We were sitting at breakfast, actually, and I was like, savannah, that woman looks like Kelly Rowland. And then Savannah was like, okay. And so, like, dropped it. I was like, okay. I guess it's not that cool, because I love Kelly Rowland. And then maybe like, what? Like, three or four days later, I looked at you, and I was like, savannah, I think that is Kelly Rowland.
Savannah
So, like, we're all at the pool and with Cyrus and, like, hanging out, and, like, her whole friend group is, like, at the pool. And then it starts, like, thunderstorming, and then we go seek cover, and she's, like, laying down on this couch, and she was like, I'm just chilling here, like, catching the vibe of the rain. And we're like, oh, awesome. Cool. And then how did we connect that? It actually was Her.
Tyler
Oh, because of her husband.
Savannah
Yes.
Tyler
Lance was like, that's him?
Savannah
Yeah. We looked at her husband. Her husband was like, Tim or whatever. Like, completely, like, looks like him. Okay.
Tyler
And then we always be doing that.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
Like, when we were in Omegiri, too, we clock it with the man.
Savannah
Who was that?
Tyler
Yoka Adi and Angela Simmons.
Savannah
Yeah. We always meet famous people. Our excursions. Anyway, so then we go to the room, and I'm like, oh, my God. Like, we can't be weirdos. Like, we don't want to, like, be like, oh, my God. Kelly, Roland. We wanted to enjoy our time, you know? And so then Tyler does the dumbest he's probably ever done. And, like, y' all are 5050 on Instagram about it. So I want to hear what you guys think about this. Okay, so pull up the text.
Tyler
I showed the woman's party. It was the text, and she said. No, she wasn't. No.
Savannah
If someone says, we're having a private event till 12, that means a private event. Like, if they were gonna say, like, hey, we're having, like, a reception for the hotel guests. Like a party for the hotel guest at the beach till 12. A private party gives a private party. I fear bestie.
Tyler
But, you know, like, other people who are not staying at Cheval Blanc can go to Cheval Blanc, go on the beach, go eat at the restaurant. You know what I'm saying?
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
So when they say we are hosting a private event, like, that's why I met.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
You know what I'm saying?
Savannah
Because a lot of people came to the restaurant mindset. But it was. Guys, when I tell you it was not even a private party. It was a fucking long table where everyone's sitting down. Tyler and I walk in, we go to the fucking kids side. Okay. And I'm about to sit down, and Tyler's like, I don't think we're supposed to be here. And I'm like. And everyone's just staring at me.
Tyler
Well, because at first we thought it was like, is this some weird, like, mingle?
Savannah
Yeah. Like, it was giving, like, a ritual cult, like.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
To join and, like, just sit and, like, get to know the hotel guests. And then I was like, everybody here looks like they're all friends with each other and all belong together. And we've seen them all together this whole time. So we're like. And then there's the children at the very end of the table. So I'm like, this is giving. We're not supposed to be here. And so we do the walk of shame.
Tyler
Out the back.
Savannah
Out the back. I literally climb through bushes. I'm like, I'm not fucking walking in front of all of them to walk out of this thing because there's a one way in, one way out. So I literally hop into the bushes to get out. I was like, I'm not about to go through that embarrassment, like, want to kill myself. That we crashed Kelly Rowland's private party.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
Yeah, very embarrassing. Horrible. 0 out of 10. And then we party. And that, I think, was what triggered me wanting to go out after that. Actually, I think it was. That was just so horrible that I wanted to go dance it off. Okay, but read the text.
Tyler
I can't find it on my. On my side of it. When I read it to the butler.
Savannah
Team, they're not gonna. The customer's always correct.
Tyler
Keep talking. There's a million messages.
Savannah
Anyways, he's wrong about it, and it's okay.
Tyler
You saw my side and now you don't. When people. While the podcast listeners are listening, that's.
Savannah
When you're side still. You know how I am. I'm very like, I see every side. But, like.
Tyler
Anyway, it was for this woman who's friends with Kelly's 50th birthday. That's why they were all there. And I ended up talking to them because we were both waiting for a car at the same time for like 10 minutes. And I told her, like, I apologize. I was like, I don't know if you saw us walk in. I, like, showed her the text message and I was like, I promise we are not trying to crash your party. Like, so embarrassing. And then she was like, oh, my gosh. I totally see why that happened. And you guys should have stayed, like, why did you guys leave? Like, you were more than welcome. They were super nice.
Savannah
And Sarah said they were really nice. They're very. The whole group. Very nice.
Tyler
Became besties with.
Savannah
Yeah. Cyrus became bestie with some billionaires babies. Like, so, yeah. One, like, literally an heir to a billionaire dynasty taught my son how to swim. So we'll be able to tell that story one day. And you know what, guys? While he's looking for this, I will say something that I've always.
Tyler
I found it.
Savannah
Okay, Cool. Good. Yay. Something I've always said is. Is even when you don't have a lot of money, okay. Or a lot of money to spend, if you put yourself in places where rich, wealthy, not even that, but just successful people go, your network is your net worth. Boo boo, skadoodle. And every single time I have stayed at, like, a very nice resort or gone to a very inexclusive vacation spot. I always meet very influential people. And now am I going to like, use, like, go in with the motive of, like, I'm gonna, like, use and schmooze? No. But when I was in Anguilla last year, which actually wasn't that big of a rich, famous people spot, but it is a very nice hotel, I met people that were really beneficial and helped me with a project that I'm working on for a business that I'm starting. And that wouldn't have happened if I wasn't there. You know, like, you don't meet people that are going to either, like, invest in your business or, you know, even if it's not even like they're going to monetarily help you. Like, if they can give you advice or you can just be inspired by what they're doing and just the vibration of the place that you're in. It's a lot higher. Yeah. I'm just really have always thought that that's such an important thing to do. Obviously, don't go bankrupt trying to, like, chase, you know, staying at really nice places. But I will say there is something to putting yourself in that mindset and surrounding yourself around people that are smart and that are, you know, well off and have.
Tyler
Well, I think it's also about connections at the end of the day, because everyone knows someone who knows someone. You know what I'm saying? Like, it's a lot easier to get stuff done or like.
Savannah
Yeah. Because who you know is who you know.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
And I've been very big about my whole career, you know, doing things myself. And that only gets to you so far. Like, it got me to where I am today, which is amazing. But if I want to take my brand and take Savannah Boat aesthetics to a more elite level where I'm not the one that has to work 247 to make an income. I'm going to have to have some outside resources and people who know more than me, which is scary for me because I like to be the one that knows the most. But I've grown out of that mindset. It's an immature, scarcity mindset, you know, And I think some of it was like a perfect. A protection mechanism. You know, If I know the most, no one can, like, outsmart me or try to fuck me over. But I think there comes a time in business where you do need people that are smarter than you, which is one of the reasons why I hired Tyler. And that's the nicest thing I'll ever say to you. And don't make me say it again.
Tyler
She still doesn't listen to me, but it is nice to hear I do about something. So the message reads, as a reminder, we will host this evening a private event at La Caban. This event will end at midnight with a flower emoji and a palm tree emoji. Honestly, if there were no emojis, it.
Savannah
Should have been like an.
Tyler
You know what I mean?
Savannah
It's giving.
Tyler
It's giving invitation. Like they're putting emojis on it. Like if they were saying the restaurant is rented out tonight for a private event.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
You know what I'm saying? Like, the language was just not clear at all. Again, this is a resort that people can. Like, this restaurant is one that you can go eat at if you're not staying there. So when they're saying we are hosting a private event, like, it just in my brain with the emojis.
Savannah
And so if they had like an X emoji. No, like a thumbs down, I should.
Tyler
Have said the restaurant is rented at. The entire restaurant is rented out because that's a dinner spot. You know what I'm saying? So that's why I thought, like, they were throwing something.
Savannah
I would say it's closed. And I'd say what I would have said if I was them, I would say whatever the restaurant's name is is closed tonight for a private event. We will reopen at 12 o' clock. Please let us know if you have any questions or need help with a different dining option.
Tyler
Yeah, exactly like that's what I'm saying.
Savannah
But that's because I'm perfect.
Tyler
As a reminder, we will.
Savannah
No, that's so good at customer service.
Tyler
That's what any business would do. Like, the way that they sent this is not clear.
Savannah
Okay, I would agree with that.
Tyler
As a reminder, we will host this evening a private event at La Caban. This event will end midnight.
Savannah
Let me read that. Make sure you're not changing any words.
Tyler
I'm not at the top.
Savannah
Yeah, yeah, okay.
Tyler
I read it word for word. Promise with the emojis and all.
Savannah
Yeah. I mean, honestly, maybe that was God trying to get us to become best friends with Kelly Rowland and her crew and we just spat in his face.
Tyler
Yeah, well, no, I mean, it was a very intimate.
Savannah
So awkward, guys, like, I'm telling you, like, I wanted to crawl inside my body. But yeah, I mean, it was. It was a good time. And then I don't really know what else happened.
Tyler
Your fish necklace.
Savannah
Oh, my God. I found the coolest necklace. And I'm obviously, like, not splurging on things right now because we're building the house in the spa and everything's over budget.
Tyler
Because mama likes things to be pretty.
Savannah
Because I have taste.
Tyler
Yeah, she wants it to be pretty. You know, here's the thing is our interior designers show us five options and do not tell us prices on everything. It's not her fault that she always picks the most expensive one as the ones.
Savannah
Yeah, just some classy. She's the most elegant, classy woman in the establishment.
Tyler
But I will give her that credit. She does not pick the things based on the price. They just happen to be most.
Savannah
I can sniff out high quality anywhere. So, yeah. So I was like, I can't get this. And I see this necklace, and it's behind a case. So I'm like, oh, this is probably, like, $2,000 or more. I can't get this. And I'm like, let me just try it on, you know? Let me just see. So I try it on. And I asked this man. I'm like, how much is this? He says, 245. I said, 245. 245. And he said, 245. And I was like, 245. 245. Like, 245.
Tyler
245.
Savannah
Yeah. And I was like, okay, I'm gonna get that. And it is the cutest little fish necklace in the entire world. I mean, truly, just.
Tyler
It was the thing.
Savannah
So whimsical. Oh, my God. It brought me so much joy. It literally didn't. I haven't bought something in a long time that's just like. Like, I feel like if I buy something, I'm like, okay, I need this color bag, because I have. I don't have this color bag. So, like, it's. I don't need it, but I want it. But I do need it. It's a necessity. It's a necessity. Like, the fish necklace wasn't a necessity. Like, it was just, like a funny, fun, little, like, whimsical. And it's a fish. Like, I fucking love jewelry. I love sea animals, sea creatures, something that no one's going to have. Like, something that's so unique, handmade, handcrafted, one of a kind. I'm sold, bitch.
Tyler
Yeah. And it's, like, made with an irregular pearl. And we learned that's why it's, like, so cheap is because, like, it's a big pearl, but it's. She's misshapen.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
And so she's wonky. Yeah. And then it has, like, some, like, gold for, like, eyes and a little fin.
Savannah
That made me so happy.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
Like, I loved it.
Tyler
And then they made me a bracelet and it broke after 30 minutes of wearing it.
Savannah
We'll find you someone to fix it, so.
Tyler
But the bracelet was cool.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
I wrote down extending the trip two days, as per usual.
Savannah
I always do that. Yeah, Every trip there's a trip, I'mma extend it.
Tyler
Unless it's a work trip. Even then sometimes.
Savannah
Florida.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
Vegas. No. New York. Yak would maybe extend New York.
Tyler
Maybe next year when we're not so busy. We can do that.
Savannah
It's just New York's always. It's the shittiest time of year.
Tyler
No, babe, that's not January.
Savannah
I mean, I thought we were gonna literally be swept away, leaving Hudson Yards, trying to watch in the room.
Tyler
Wait, that was really bad.
Savannah
Like, the trees were bending in half. Babe, they're doing the Fenty fold.
Tyler
Oh, yeah. I thought that was. That was like a tornado.
Savannah
The trees were like this.
Tyler
Yeah, it was really bad.
Savannah
It was horrifying, scary, terrifying.
Tyler
I'm trying to think of other things because I have, like, some things where I'm like, are they even worth telling? The rice bread.
Savannah
What was the rice bread? Osiris.
Tyler
Yeah, he made a dissection.
Savannah
It's funny. I mean, it's just so cute seeing his little personality develop and come out, you know, it's hard because I work so much, I don't get multiple days on end with him, you know what I mean? Like, all day, every day, you know, because I'm not a stay at home mother. I work. And so, like, yeah, I get like a Saturday, Sunday, or Sunday, Monday, full time with him. But, you know, I'll either have, like, meetings, especially with, like, the spa being so close to being built. Like, pretty much Mondays, I'm doing a million different meetings. We're redoing our website. Like, there's just so many little things, guys, that are going on right now. So to be able to have like a full 10 days with my son, no interruptions, like, it was just so special and just amazing. Like, it's all a mother could ask for. And he was, like, decent. He and Tyler have a little bit of beef.
Tyler
We became brothers on this trip. Like, I have never. I have a little brother. And in this trip, Cyrus felt more like my little brother brother than my actual little brother has. How old is he? 19 years, 10 days.
Savannah
Oh, like they, like, bully each other.
Tyler
No, I On the night before we left, I got so mad at Savannah because she pulled the typical mom of you. Both apologize to each other. And I was like, I am not apologizing to this kid.
Savannah
I said, he's three. Tyler, fucking apologize.
Tyler
I was like, I'm not doing it. Like, I was so pissed.
Savannah
Oh, yeah. He literally got out of the bed. We were watching a movie.
Tyler
We were watching a movie together, and I was like, I'm going to bed. Like, I guess, like, it was.
Savannah
I say sorry. He goes, sorry. And I'm like, no, Tyler, say you're sorry. And Tyler, like, would not, because he.
Tyler
Was hitting me for no reason.
Savannah
You. And I grabbed his arm and threw it down.
Tyler
Threw it down is crazy.
Savannah
Went like this.
Tyler
I literally took his arm and I pushed him back towards you. I didn't, like, aggressively push him.
Savannah
I just said, go is a child abuser.
Tyler
Okay. Yeah.
Savannah
Just kidding.
Tyler
Let me show you my scars from this trip.
Savannah
But, yeah, so they definitely had some beef with each other. But then, like, there were times of love, too.
Tyler
Yeah. No, it was. I'm telling you, it was very brotherly. It was kind of weird, but he felt.
Savannah
Yeah. Yeah. And then Tyler and lance lost the $700 of perfume that I bought for my girls, the team.
Tyler
I won't take ownership for that. I really won't. I did too much to have the right.
Savannah
I told y' all to give a sweep.
Tyler
I did do a sweep.
Savannah
Where'd it go?
Tyler
I told you to do a sweep. Did you do a sweep?
Savannah
I did a sweep.
Tyler
Okay, so. And you have good eyes. I'm telling you, I did it. I did three sweeps.
Savannah
I think someone stole them.
Tyler
I know they weren't where you say they are, because Lance went through every shopping bag that was there. But anyway, Savannah did buy perfumes for every single one of our girls at the spa.
Savannah
And hand creams, too.
Tyler
And hand creams. Matching hand creams. Not matching.
Savannah
Yes, matching.
Tyler
Matching. Yeah. I couldn't remember there were two brands we were looking at, but she did do that. Savannah, every time we travel, tries to get stuff for the girls. Very sweet of her. Gift giving us her loving witch. So that is very unfortunate, but I won't take responsibility for it.
Savannah
Won't take responsibility for much.
Tyler
I do. I take responsibility. Your entire. Everything by myself, basically.
Savannah
Oh, my God. I'm so sad for you that you got to go to St. Bart's for free for 10 days. You have such a hard life. You had to pack me. I feel horrible for you.
Tyler
Who said that? I'm just saying I. I did my part.
Savannah
I know it's probably Lance.
Tyler
I did my part.
Savannah
That's all I'm saying. You know, it's like, I expect it from Lance, but not you, because you're like, well, better at that kind of stuff. But it's okay. It's just $700 of perfume that was unique that you can't buy in America. And I already tried to look to see if I could repurchase it. You can't. So it's fine. It's okay.
Tyler
Guess we just have to go back.
Savannah
I would never go back to St. Bart's there was though this one dumpling place that Kinugawa. Oh, my God, guys. And this sakura. Sakura drink that we had. So good. And the garlic fried rice. So good.
Tyler
We went back a second night. So Savannah and I literally just. I mean, Savannah was better than me. She ordered one order of the dumplings. I ordered two, and that was my meal. Like, I ate 10 dumplings.
Savannah
Oh, my God. Do you remember the first time we went there? So there's this wine glass and Cyrus pours this entire thing of soy sauce in the wine glass. And I'm like, oh, my God. Okay, So I like grab him. He doesn't it so fast. He's so quick. He's like, little ninja. And then this lady that works there, she was like, is this someone's wine? Because we. I was like, I'm so sorry. Like, he spilled some, you know, I'm so sorry. She goes, if someone's wine. I'm like, oh, that's soy sauce. And she was like, oh, my God. And I was like, you could go give it to like someone and like, with them be like, try this wine because it looks like red wine. It was actually pretty crazy.
Tyler
It was insane. I looked over and I was like, whose is that? Yeah.
Savannah
And I was like, cyrus just poured soy sauce in that. But yeah, I mean, other than that, Cyrus was like, pretty good.
Tyler
Boy snores like a 70 year old man.
Savannah
Yeah, but it got better towards the end of the trip.
Tyler
Yeah, he was snoring. I was like, hello, you're three. How can those noises come out of you?
Savannah
He was congested from travel. And then the ocean air and the salt water cleared his nose.
Tyler
That's all I got. Oh, I have the pizza boxes three feet long.
Savannah
We have to put a picture up here. We were so confused, guys. Like, the last night we ordered this pizza and we're like, what the did we order? I'm like, tyler, what did you order? Like, this is gonna be like, because.
Tyler
I was begging for pizza this entire trip, and we found this place that does pizza. And so I was like, here are the options. Savannah picked what she wanted, I picked what I wanted. Lance can't have pizza, so he got room service. We ordered it through the hotel, and then it arrived. Our jaw dropped because it was, like, the biggest box of pizza I've ever seen in my life. When I say it was three feet long, I mean literally three feet long. Like, the box was.
Savannah
Yeah, it was.
Tyler
No, it was bigger.
Savannah
You think?
Tyler
I think it was, like, that big.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
It's giving three.
Savannah
The perfume smells good on you.
Tyler
No, it doesn't. I've been, like, hating having this on me all day.
Savannah
Was that why you've been such a cunt to me?
Tyler
No, that's for other reasons. Who am I sending this to? Oh, I'm gonna send it so you guys can see the size of this. I took a picture with my hand for comparison. Like, look at how large that is.
Savannah
Yeah, it's pretty big.
Tyler
But they did forget our fried rice balls that I was really, really excited for.
Savannah
Yeah, it was a good trip all around. Good time, good vibes.
Tyler
The plane ride back was hell.
Savannah
It's very hot.
Tyler
So hot. And I convinced Savannah to wear a sweatshirt to the airport with me because planes are always cold. She was like, I think I need a T shirt. I was like, no, the plane's always cold. The plane on the way there was so cold. Yeah, she was right. I don't think the air conditioning was working.
Savannah
No. I was sweating the entire time.
Tyler
Let me tell y' all, I never smell bad. I'm someone who. And, you know, I don't have a lot of great qualities, but I'm someone who always smells good. After that flight, I did not smell good. Yeah, I think it was. Overall, what would you rate the trip?
Savannah
Location? Six. Crazy family time? Ten. Yeah.
Tyler
Food?
Savannah
An eight. Pretty good food.
Tyler
I would rate the trip. I would say, controversially, I liked it better than Hawaii.
Savannah
Really?
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
I liked Hawaii better because of the turtles.
Tyler
Like, I think Italy is still number one. Cyrus wasn't there, so I don't know if it's directly comparable, but I would say Italy, same parts. Hawaii.
Savannah
Hawaii was just bad because people were trying to fuck with me on Instagram. That's why every time I try to go on a trip, I swear, people like the ops are like, let's stir up drama.
Tyler
But I feel like I'm looser now, and maybe that's why I had more fun. Like, before, I used to not get in the water. I didn't get in the sun. Like I was such a little pansy when it came to doing anything fun.
Savannah
Yeah. You've been more confident lately, so I feel like.
Tyler
Yeah, maybe that's why I liked it more.
Savannah
Yeah. You were able to embrace the ocean.
Tyler
Oh, well, this lighting doesn't show that off.
Savannah
Yeah, no, I mean, it was good. I think it's just. I think it would a little too polished for me.
Tyler
I think it would be better if. It very much seems like a place.
Savannah
Where you should go be immersed in the culture it wasn't given. Caribbean Island. Like, I felt like I was in France.
Tyler
Yeah. I think it's a place that you go for something like a bachelorette party or something with like 10 friends. You're in a house and like you go party for a family vacation with a three year old.
Savannah
Maybe there's a lot of kids there. To be fair.
Tyler
There were.
Savannah
There are a lot of kids there actually.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
Lots of families. So, I mean, it is a family place too. But. Yeah, I wouldn't go back. I'd go to Anguilla. Better diving, calmer waters, more blue water.
Tyler
But I think. I don't know if that's true.
Savannah
It is true.
Tyler
Because when we looked up the Anguilla weather, it was the same as St. Bart's so I'm thinking, like, do you.
Savannah
Think right now the weather Channel? So I don't fucking trust it right now.
Tyler
No, but I was on other weather channels. Like, I wasn't on, like, I was.
Savannah
Looking all the weather channels, but the.
Tyler
Weather things that are not accurate. Caribbean army funded by the United States. They're not even United States.
Savannah
Oh, yeah, that's true. But.
Tyler
Hello, you're trying to find a way out. And I promise you it's because there was a tropical storm. Like, I think if we were in Anguilla, it would have been the same and you would have been equally upset.
Savannah
I'm gonna say that that's wrong.
Tyler
Okay, fair enough. That's fine. I'm just saying you got lucky last year.
Savannah
We need to refund the weather department.
Tyler
Re fund, not refund.
Savannah
Yeah, like refund them back.
Tyler
No, that still sounds like refund them, give them money. Okay.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
Alrighty. I think that's all we got.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
Love y' all.
Savannah
Bye.
