Well, I'll just say back in the day at our old podcast place. And this is no shade to our new place. We love them. They're just time. They just have work, life balance. They don't work on Sundays. And Sundays were, like, the day. Our podcast day.

Yeah, it was.

We'd go podcasts and then we'd go hang out and we just do like a whole day together.

[Candace]

Yeah. Honestly, now that I have, like, a life to sustain, I kind of. I prefer the weekday now.

But I'm biased in saying that because our new studio is literally 10 minutes away from me. Meanwhile, for Savannah, after work, it's like an hour and 20 minute drive home. So. Yeah, that's. There's no middle ground.

And all the things. But the podcast has been going strong for. Since 2019. Yeah. Not one episode missed.

I was recording a podcast the day before I gave birth.

And I came when he was like, three days old on the first podcast. His first podcast. Okay. Well, life updates. Updates in general. Tyler's getting a dog this weekend.

I am Saturday. Lil Lulu is coming home. She is a king. A cavalier King Charles. I think that's, like, the right way to say it.

[Savannah]

And if he would have let the lizard. If you guys remember the OG lizard. Mel Melanocyte, Stay in your office. Then maybe I would have let it be a small dog. But since you were so fucking mean about my lizard, I will not let you have your dog there.

Candace was texting me about that today

if I was gonna let it come to the spa. And I think there's also, like, A deep, like, inside of me that, like, I tried to have two different dogs be a small dog, and I couldn't do it. And, like, if you were able to

do it well, these dogs are. You have doodles. Your dogs were never going to be a spa dog. They were going to bounce off the walls. They were going like, that's. That's the nature of their breed. These dogs are like Candace's dog. Like, they're bred to. They're bred for British royalty, like, to sit on the fucking lap and do absolutely nothing. And that's why I wanted this dog, because I'm like, that's kind of how Murphy was. Like, he didn't do anything. And so it's okay. I actually liked the TikTok and I was gonna send it to you, but I was like, I feel like Savannah's gonna get mad at me, so I'm not gonna send it to her, but I'm gonna show her right now on the podcast.

I think all of those potty breaks and things.

Taking her out the middle of the night to go pee sounds like a really good job.

And it's a. It's a King Charles Cavalier. Like, that's all they do all day.

She said, Candace texted me today and she said once she meets the dog and she sees how cute and calm it is, she'll want it.

I. I got a dog walker for the middle of the day. Well, I actually got it for Dory.

Which is his boyfriend's dog.

Yeah, which is my boyfriend's dog. Well, because doggy daycare was a hundred and forty five dollars a week. And then. So if you have. Well, you can't bring a puppy for the first six months to doggy daycare because of, like, them getting sick and not having. I don't know what that means. V fib is like where a person's heart stops. What is afib?

Isn't that what they get?

Parvo?

[Savannah]

Yeah.

[Candace]

Oh, yeah. Parvo's like the big one. Yeah. So, like, you can't bring them. And then even when you can, it'll be $280 a week for two dogs. But a dog walker will come for $100 a week.

Amazing.

For both dogs. That's good, but it's not as Good for the dog because, like, they're alone all day.

[Savannah]

I'll think about it.

No, no, no. This was, like, a battle that I was having, like, with Ryan, like, not even, like, about, like, Lulu being a spot dog. I let go of that. Would I love it? Yes, but let go of it. But, like, I was like, what's better for the dog? Like, spending all that extra money so it can have, like, enrichment all day, but it's not, like, financially wise or, like, you know, them being alone. And I live an hour away from work, so it's like, it is what it is. But I'm so excited for the puppy.

I'm excited to meet her.

I've been watching so many, like, training videos. It's been a while. I haven't had a puppy since I was in, like, eighth grade, so.

Well, it would have been so easy if you just, like, lived next to your mom.

Yeah. And that's like. Yeah, it would have been. Or if I still lived at home. I know Jackie would have literally chopped my dick off, but she would have done it.

What's your exciting news?

Well, I just got back from vacation. I was gone for a week. Saw dolphins. I saw little baby sharks.

[Candace]

You saw a lot of wildlife?

[Savannah]

I did. I saw a deer.

[Candace]

All I saw was dolphins while I was gone. How would you rate it? I always love hearing your rating of beach vacations because you have a plethora to, like. You have a good index, too.

[Savannah]

Yeah. I like the Keys. I like the vibe of the Keys. The water obviously is, like, not as beautiful. You can't really, like, swim straight off. There's, like, a lot of seaweed and stuff. So it's not like the Caribbean or like the Maldives, but beautiful. It's just different.

[Candace]

Was it very calm there?

[Savannah]

Yeah. And it was, like, a bit rainy, like, the weather and stuff. But, like, it was peaceful and, like, it felt like it was, like, just very, like, chill.

[Candace]

Was it more. Was it more than island rain? Like, you know what I mean? Like, island rain. Like, it rains for 30 minutes.

Sterling took me out on a boat and a tsunami on a little tiny Boston Whaler.

No, that. That happened to Brian and I when we were in Hawaii. And his dad is like, I love his dad, but Brian was like, he'll never cancel. Like, if the excursion doesn't get canceled, we're going on the excursion. And it was a whale watching, like, sunset cruise.

And it's just like.

And it was. No, it was like, Pouring. We were all in ponchos. It was poor. Like, it felt like we were on deep sea fishing. And it was a good time, actually, but, like, that's how it was in Hawaii, too.

[Savannah]

And the day we left, like, half the island's power got cut off because it was raining that much.

[Savannah]

While we're out on the water, our resort got struck with electricity. What's it called? Electrocuted.

Yeah.

Lightning.

Yeah. And the electricity went out.

Oh, so back on by time you all got back?

No, it was like they, like, were, like, literally manually writing, like, down food orders, running them to the kitchen. And, like, they didn't have music. And, like, the music people that were singing and stuff, like, didn't have their,

Like, I know there's some, like, natural disaster thing, but I feel like you should get reimbursed for that.

I could have used to be so good at that. For me. Remember when.

Oh, we got money back. Back at Amangiri.

Oh, yeah. I will just say they give us, like, 10k back.

Yeah, like, we got money back. And it. Honestly, they were small complaints, like, compared to, like, the power going out, not being able to, like, have running water. No, I'm saying, like. Like, you would think that's how we would get 10k back. Like, having no power, no running water.

Like, something we first got in, and there was that man who was just so mean, and he was, like, screaming, screaming at that woman.

And we were just like, they're trying to give us a tour. And we're just like, no.

So it was a. It was a person who was also staying at the resort, and it was the, like, host, like, check in lady. Check in lady who, like, gives you, like, every time.

She's like, it's been five bag, five minutes, and I don't have my bags in my room. Like, are you yelling at her in

the middle of the lobby? And Savannah and I, we had, like, our little welcome drink. We were sitting on the couch, like, what the hell is going on? And then we.

So professional. I would have been in tears.

Oh, yeah. We found her after. And you, like, checked on her?

Yeah. I was like, are you okay? Like, that was really hurtful. Like, you're amazing, slay queen. But I felt bad. I was so vicious.

No, I mean, what was our complaints? Oh, I paid for a, like, private dinner, $1,000 dinner for her birthday. And I was like, she only eats chicken. She only eats chicken. She only eats chicken. And, like, this is a resort that,

like, there's only 15 people at the whole thing. And it was not even. It was like half booked.

Yeah. Because we arrived the day after a wedding left. So it wasn't like there were multiple parties. Like.

Different stays overlapping. Like, everyone who arrived on our day was the first people to call.

You emailed them this. When we're not crazy. Okay. But like when you're going to like an Amman resort, like, they're like, you know, it was a special thing. It was like I was at like the worst time in my marriage. I was so depressed, I was told I couldn't leave the US for my birthday if. If he wasn't going.

Yeah.

And so Tyler and I were like, where should we go in the US

and then I convinced her, I was like, we're gonna switch Utah around for you.

[Savannah]

Because that's where I went to Wildern. So like, the last time I went to Utah, I was like shitting in a hole, doing whore baths every two weeks with a rag.

[Candace]

That's this thing.

Yeah. Like, it was just like a traumatic experience for me. So then, like, it was just like kind of amazing to see like 15 year old me was like, going through that. And then now I was, what, at the. 6, 7? 27. I was 27. Cause remember, I got.

Yeah, yeah. 27th birthday.

[Savannah]

My 27th birthday. I'm staying at like one of the best hotels in the United States. Yeah, yeah. So it's just like such a cool thing. And so Tyler sold me on that and I was like, he knows how to speak my language when he wants me to do something. He knows me so well. And I was like, you're right, we'll do it. So anyway, he like sent an email about this private dinner. He like, talked to the manager like the day before the dinner.

Well, they also ask you for your dietary preferences before you get there because, like, it's such a quaint resort that, like, it's like the type of place where they could. They should come up to you when you go to dinner. You're in the middle of fucking nowhere. There's two restaurants.

[Savannah]

Yeah.

[Candace]

So, like, they come up to you and they're like, hi, Ms. Boda, Mr. Jacoby.

[Savannah]

Like, they know who you are.

[Candace]

Remember when we were at that Four Seasons and there was like so many rooms there and like, they knew every single one of like, Lance's dietary restrictions at every single restaurant that we went to on the property. Like, it was all in their system.

Yeah, exactly.

[Savannah]

Yeah. So that's like just like One that was weird. But anyways, so we get to this dinner, and first of all, like, he was like, we're not together. And, like, I told Tyler, which, at the time when I was married, I was like. I would always joke, and I'm like, thank God I'm married. Because if I was trying to find a man, like, we're attached at the hip. We do everything together. Everywhere we go, people think we're married.

Yeah.

And we act like that.

[Candace]

Straight passing. But apparently you never know.

These days. There's a lot of metro men that I guess. And you have, like, a manly voice.

Yeah. I think especially dominance.

It's like, the most romantic dinner I've ever had.

It's the most quiet place I've ever been on Earth.

from a mile away. Like, it was so quiet. And that's why, like, the resort is called, like, Peaceful Mountain. Like, I have never heard. It was. It was a strange sensation. I told her that at dinner. I was like, this is. I've never heard anything.

It's, like, in one of those, like, foam rooms.

And then we hear the little door open, and this guy walks over. He has a plate with a cup or, like, something, and he, like, flip. I forget. He, like, slides the cup onto the table, and then he picks up the cup and rose petals fall out. And then he, like, picks up the rose petals and starts sprinkling it slowly around the table. And I'm sitting there with. She's dying. Laughing. I'm sitting there with my hands or my head in my hands.

I thought you were gonna propose to me.

Yeah, I know. I was like, I couldn't have been more clear about this, I thought that's

like, you're gonna be like, I'm not gay. I'm in love with you. Like, that's what I was expecting for my birthday dinner. That was the level I'm giving.

Well, anyways, they bring out the salad, and it has, like, caviar all over it.

Yeah. Anchovies, bacon. It was like a Caesar salad, all fish. Second course comes out. Also fish, fish. And I was like, I don't like this.

We're like, she eats fucking chicken. Which. Okay, this is actually a funny story because I didn't know I did this, but my boyfriend Sterling, he, like, when he was asking about, like, where we should go on our first date or whatever, he texted me and he was like, do you have any dietary restrictions or preferences? And I guess I texted him back, I like chicken. Oh, verbatim.

And our instructor said she was like, he was like, the best student.

My other funny story from this trip. So, like, everything was just like, it's an adult only, like, resort. And they, like, have, like, a really good chef. And, like, it's on the ocean. It's all, like, fish. And, like, I emailed them to be like, I'm coming. I eat chicken. You need to get, like, 10 chickens on this deserted island and, like, keep them in the back of cages for me, like, because that's what I'm eating. And so, like, I ate fine or whatever. It just, like, wasn't, like, the best. And then like, fishy places, like, things mix around and then your chicken's kind of fishy, and then it's just like. It's like, stressful. And then, like, you're in your head because you're like, it's gonna be fishy before you even taste it. And so, like, you're already, like, psychologically tripping yourself.

Which is like, not great. Cuz I feel like before I had you. Like, it was just all me. And I was the only. Like, there's no one else to fall back on to help me with anything.

I like feeling stressed at work and then, like, just, like, blitzing through and, like, just, like, that feeling of.
