Foreigners.
Savannah
Welcome back, Monday. I am so excited to be here with you guys. And I am happy to announce that Sulfur Mask is back. You were wondering if you were hanging on edge for an entire seven days now, you know. And today we're gonna do another extension of the Q A. Trying to think of like a fun little life update. Well, I guess in personal life, I've kind of, like, rekindled things with my mom, which makes me happy because I do want to have, like a relationship with her and have her in my life. I think, you know, I've just seen her grow a lot and life's really short. You never know how much time you have with someone. And I don't want to live with any regrets. So she's actually going to be doing a campaign with me for a company that I work closely with. And I'm really excited. That was kind of like a huge thing. And I'm really excited to like, partner with her and like, do that with her. So I think that'll be fun. And then I also invited her this year on my birthday trip, Tyler got the boot because the spa's gonna be like, opening around my birthday or like, we'll be open for like two weeks. And unfortunately, now that he works for me, he is just so much more valuable there. And I think I'm gonna be stressed regardless. This was like my predicament, my dilemma. Because first and foremost, I like to be in the water at the beach on my birthday. Like, that is like one of the things that is like a non negotiable for me. And I was like stomaching, like, okay, I'm just gonna stay here. Like, the spa's opening. And the more I thought about it, I was like, I'm just gonna be sad. Like, I know that about me. Like, I know I'm gonna want to be on the beach. Like, when the time comes, like, I'm gonna be like, damn. You know, and it's 28. 28 is pretty big. So anyway, I was like, I will just take my mom because her and I haven't had a trip, just us, in like years. And I think it would be like a good place for us to kind of like start fresh. And I think it just all kind of like the stars aligned with it being like a mommy daughter trip. And he's not mad. He's helping me with something on Instagram. Are you mad? He's not even listening. Anyway, so, yeah, no hard feelings to Tyler at all.
Tyler
About what?
Savannah
My birthday, that I'm going with my mom. This Year. Oh, there's a spa's gonna be opening.
Tyler
Yeah. She just hates me.
Savannah
I don't hate him. He's. I just one with new staff and stuff. Being at the office, I would be stressed out. I'm going to be stressed not being there in general. Having Tyler with me, like, my right hand fucking man. Not there to, like, help if, like, something happens. Like, that would be bad, you know, it's not that, like, I need him to work. Like, he could work anywhere. Truly with his job. It's more just like boots on the ground. Like, having somebody that I, like, really trust. Like, especially like, the first three months of, like, the new space opening, like, that's going to be really important to me. So. Yeah. Which honestly, it's not my fault. We should blame Tribest because that's the construction company that we used because it was supposed to be open in July, and then we could have gone on our besties trip. But we have plenty of other trips. We travel a lot together, so I'm not worried about it. But this year I think it's going to be good. Because it might be good or it might be horrible. We'll find out. I'm hopeful that it will be good. My mom and I are both really big personalities and we're both very stubborn and, like, things are away, so we'll see. But I think she's gonna tread carefully because at least I hope so. My mom just, like, is such a. Like, has her. What are you. Why are you shaking your head?
Tyler
I think we should just.
Savannah
Oh, it's like a good thing. It's just my mom.
Tyler
It's not like, if we're trying to have a good trip, let's not start talking about.
Savannah
No, no. My mom is just, like, has her own fucking agenda. Like, my mom does not need anybody. My mom is, like, kind of like a loner. And so, like, she is one of those, like, if she wants to do something, she's just gonna go do it. And so I hope that she just, like, slows down a little bit and, like, waits for me because, like, I. I like to, like, have, like, a slower morning. And like, she. We're just different. You know what I mean? Like, our schedules are very different. We're very different types of vacation people. I feel like you and I vacation really well together because we kind of have the same, like, vibe and schedule of, like, how we. When we eat and when we do things. Like, you're just easy. Like, Tyler's just a very, like, go with the flow, chill person. So he's really easy to vacation with my mom. Like I said, it's not bad if I talk shit about my mom, talking shit about myself, because I want to do what I want to do when I want to do it, and that's exactly how my mom is.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
So, like, having two people, like, that's like, a hard thing to balance when two people are like that, you know? So. You know what I mean? Yeah, that's what I mean. So it's not like a bad thing. It's just like, how she is and I'm her daughter, so I got a lot of that. Very headstrong and very, like, when I want to do something, I want to do it and come with me or you can fucking miss out.
Tyler
I'm missing out.
Savannah
No, you'll be fine. You'll have so much fun at the spa working. You'll be in your own office. You'll have a week of me not nagging you just for this.
Tyler
I'm leaving. These are the ones that are staying.
Savannah
What are all those? Oh, he's untagging photos of me from, like, childhood. Some of them shouldn't be on the Internet.
Tyler
Well, no, I was actually untagging all, like, the spam ones. Got it.
Savannah
Is it good? Yay.
Tyler
Actually, let me change the settings, though, because I put it as. No one can tag you, but I'll change it to. You have to approve it to where. Yeah, let me be on your profile.
Savannah
How do I do that on my other page? You have to go through each and every one.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
That's so crazy. That's gonna take you, like.
Tyler
No, that's going to take someone else.
Savannah
So we're also hiring right now, trying to figure out, like, who's going to be our team. We need someone for front desk. We need, like, a patient concierge to help, like, with patient experience and checkout and getting them amenities and room set up, helping assist them with shopping. And then we're going to need. Did I say shipping?
Tyler
No, shopping.
Savannah
Well, yeah, that. So we need front desk, patient concierge, which is everything I just named. We need a shipper social and social media. And hopefully by the time this episode comes out, I have those. But if you know someone that would be interested, we are hiring and I want you.
Tyler
Okay, back to the questions.
Savannah
Ready?
Tyler
Has Even tone Intensive been pilling for you? I didn't have a problem with even tone.
Savannah
No. You're either using too much or layering it wrong. So I'd be curious to know what you're using before and After.
Tyler
Is hydroquinone really that bad?
Savannah
It's not, but it can give you ochronosis if it's used for an extended period of time. That's when you see that really dark, almost like blackish purple, really concentrated deep pigment. So you can only be on it for four to six months, and then you need to take a little bit of a break for like three to four months before getting back on it. I don't think it's bad. I think it's one of the most effective things for pigment and melasma, but it's just not a long term thing. So. Yeah.
Tyler
Can you layer Ondo? Even tone, vivid and maestro.
Savannah
Undo even tone, vivid and maestro? Yes, I would go on. Do even tone, vivid, maestro.
Tyler
Mm.
Savannah
Even tone, then vivid and then maestro.
Tyler
Oh, she got it right. What gentle cleanser would you use with those products?
Savannah
Cleansing gel. Yeah.
Tyler
How can I get rid of stubborn hyperpigmentation on my underarms?
Savannah
Actually, are we gonna get that back or are we gonna retell the other thing? You know what I'm talking about.
Tyler
They said just need time, but it should come back.
Savannah
How much longer do you think?
Tyler
I didn't get a timeline.
Savannah
Okay, well, until that happens, I would say for now, what I would do is peel pads four times a week on your underarms, and then Alpharet body.
Tyler
Carboxy mousse versus iva. Well, like tomatoes and oranges.
Savannah
Yeah, but people don't know. Don't laugh.
Tyler
I'm not laughing. I'm just. The only reason I laugh is because for so long. No, because for so long. Savannah would give me shit. Because I would always say carboxymos is my favorite moisturizer. And it's not really like a moisturizer.
Savannah
I'm like, dude. And he's like, but I use it as a moisturizer. I'm like, I don't give a fuck how you use it.
Tyler
You're like. You're educated.
Savannah
Say that.
Tyler
Yeah, because I'm educating the people wrong. So that's why I laughed right now. Carboxymos vs. Hybea. Because I was thinking of Savannah.
Savannah
He wasn't being mean. He's just saving himself. Actually, he was being mean.
Tyler
No, that's really why I was laughing.
Savannah
But if you're watching the YouTube video and you're wondering what I'm doing with my face right now, I'm like, so sore. My jaw, I've been clenching like crazy. I'm over under so much stress right now. So this, like, helps stretch me muscle. I know it Looks inappropriate, but that's not what I'm doing. Shut up. Okay, so Hyvia is a really good shea butter based moisturizer. It feels like La Mer, but actually is hydrating. And it has chia seed in it, which I absolutely love for moisture retention and also blocks blue light. So that's amazing. Carboxy Mousse is carboxy. So it's CO2 gas. And basically it's making your body. It's doing the bore effect. It's making your body rush oxygen to the surface to help with waste removal, circulation, helping with hydration, and also acne. Do carboxy and then Hybea.
Tyler
Can you store ice globes in the freezer? It says store room temp. I do, but I want to use frost in the morning.
Savannah
It depends on what brand I use. Epicutis. I throw those bitches in the freezer. They've been in the freezer for two years.
Tyler
I think that's what they're talking about, but I'm confused. There's no way it says store room temp.
Savannah
I don't. It says store in the fridge.
Tyler
Okay. I think maybe that's what they meant.
Savannah
Maybe.
Tyler
Yeah. No. My ice cubes have been in the freezer for two years. I love them. Yeah. There's no other way to put them in the fridge. It's not cold enough.
Savannah
I agree.
Tyler
Best products for inflamed acne Rosacea. My skin feels on fire all the time.
Savannah
I would do. My regimen for you would be Barrier Balance Cleanser in the morning, Hydrobio Mist Lipid Serum. Do you guys see a theme here? And then I would do Alto Advanced Maestro Carboxy Trio. Nighttime, I would do Barrier Pro Cleanser Prelude Hydrobiome Mist Lipid Serum. And then I would do Maestro Clearing Serum Trio Lux. And then I would do Sulfur Mask two to three times a week. I don't like that.
Tyler
What?
Savannah
What you're doing. I don't like that.
Tyler
They can't see me. Don't expose me.
Savannah
They can see you. On the episode on the YouTube.
Tyler
I was just entire. My neck's tired.
Savannah
I don't like that. You look scary. I don't like that.
Tyler
Do I look scary?
Savannah
Yeah, you look like that meme where they smoke too much weed and you can't get up.
Tyler
They melt. Do you remember that commercial when they melted?
Savannah
I don't like it.
Tyler
That was such a good commercial. Like peak marketing. What happened?
Savannah
That's how I want to be every night.
Tyler
How to incorporate Alpharette Clearing Serum into an all Face reality regimen. Do I need to remove acne medium?
Savannah
No, actually, you can do clearing serum and then acne mat on top if your barrier is intact.
Tyler
Is vacation sunscreen acne safe?
Savannah
I would never put that shit on my face. Never in a million years. No, I wouldn't.
Tyler
It's funny.
Savannah
I wouldn't. Skin better forever.
Tyler
Have you ever used tretinoin?
Savannah
Yeah, way back when. Way back when I was like, 18.
Tyler
That's crazy.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
Well, I guess they do be just handing out trep for acne. Yeah. What would you recommend to treat discoloration from an epidermoid cyst?
Savannah
I would do even intensive and honestly, intense serum. Intense serum first and then even intensive.
Tyler
Can you use acne med and alpharet at the same time? I guess we just.
Savannah
That's the Savannah Boda secret. Just no longer a secret. I used to gatekeep the fuck out of that combo, though.
Tyler
Can Ondo be used with alpharette, clearing serum and peel pads?
Savannah
Yes, but not in the same regimen. So you would do Ondo in the morning and then peel pods three times a week and then Alfred at night. And make sure you have hydrating ingredients to support the skin. Did you purge restorative? Ha. Or lipid or both.
Tyler
Did you purge when you started taking glutathione?
Savannah
Mm. Mm.
Tyler
I should cured her.
Savannah
Oh, my God. It's like the best thing I've ever done for myself. Fucking love glutathione. I love glutathione.
Tyler
Do you need to switch your skincare every 30 days?
Savannah
No, absolutely not. Consistency is key, Queen.
Tyler
Maybe every like 30 years. That's a long time.
Savannah
Maybe like every 10, 5 to 10.
Tyler
Best treatment topical.
Savannah
For sunspots on the chest, I would do cyspera daily. I would do peel pads four times a week on the chest. Even intensive alpharette body. Yeah, yeah.
Tyler
What can be the cause of breakouts specifically in the lower face stress.
Savannah
That is stress for sure. Lower face stress and then excess amount of eggs in the diet or dairy. So hormonal changes, high cortisol levels, and if you have a lot of inflammation, cortisol. I want you guys to get the glutathione and magnesium on our website and then also get the clear skin supplement and then charcoal. Spot treatment is gonna be like your favorite spot treatment ever. And then carboxy mousse is gonna help a ton with the breakouts. I swear by it.
Tyler
How many pumps of alpharette clearing serum should I use? I feel like I use too much.
Savannah
Like one to two.
Tyler
Who Gets on your nerves more. Me or Lance?
Savannah
Someone said that.
Tyler
Yeah.
Savannah
They're head and head. They're neck and neck these days.
Tyler
That's true.
Savannah
Yeah. Male energy is, like, just giving me the ick.
Tyler
Try dealing with female energy as a male.
Savannah
No. Tyler will get so mad because him and I'll be fighting, and I'll be like, maria, my angel, sweet princess from heavens above. Maria can do no wrong. Even when she does wrong, she can never do wrong. Yeah, she's like, I think the, like, the youngest child, you know, but she's not. She's been here longer than you, but it's like. She's like. You know, it's like when you're like the older sibling, and it's like your parents, like, get mad at you for everything, and then, like, the younger sibling, like, can literally, like, crash the car into a building. They'll be like, it's okay, baby.
Tyler
Like, here's the keys to the new car. We actually had a second as a backup for you. Yeah.
Savannah
I don't know. I just love her. Yeah. I just hold you to a higher standard.
Tyler
If you couldn't work on skin but were still an esthetician, what specialty would you pick?
Savannah
The woman was too stunned to speak. Well, it wouldn't be lashes. I did that. I actually liked doing lashes, and I was actually pretty fucking good at it. But if I can't do skin, does that do brows count? Said if I was an esthetician, but I couldn't do, like, the face. Basically, yeah.
Tyler
I feel like it's like, face treatments, waxing, lashes, brows.
Savannah
I hate waxing more than anything. It is way too messy.
Tyler
Would you wax me?
Savannah
No. I hate working with wax. I don't know why I would get it all over me. Remember, I don't know if you were my client at this time when I still had wax at my salon suite, but I had a Prius and it had, like, all cloth seats in the back.
Tyler
How quickly did you get rid of that shit? Because I started seeing you, like, four months ago.
Savannah
Maybe it was my Saiton. Or was it my. Did my. My Subaru didn't have leather seats. I think it was my Subaru. I think it was the back of my Subaru. I don't know. I just know I had cloth seats, so I had my wax in there, and I was, like, driving home, and it was, like, the middle of summer, so it was really hot, so, like, melted while I was driving and the whole thing tipped over. And, like, Tyler.
Tyler
That happened to me the other day with wax uh huh. In my apartment.
Savannah
Why the fuck did you have wax in your.
Tyler
It was a candle. I didn't know that there was a candle in the Clean Skin Club box. The PR box. Remember the one with the concrete thing?
Savannah
That's easy. Candle wax is easier to clean though, than like fucking hard wax. Oh my God, guys, I think they're both horrible. No, definitely, like wax that takes your fucking hair off is gonna be stronger, babe. So that, like, was the day I was like, I'm no longer. I literally took waxing off my.
Tyler
Did you do waxing at the salon suite? Yeah, but you moved into the second salon suite, like four months later and that's when I started seeing you.
Savannah
Yeah, it was probably before then. Then it was like.
Tyler
No, but I was saying, like, how short lived was waxing a service two.
Savannah
Months after that happened, I was like, I'm fucking done.
Tyler
That's so funny. So you wouldn't wax me?
Savannah
No, I wouldn't even wax. I don't want to touch wax. I don't want to work with wax. So messy. I fucking hate it. I would always get on me, like, I don't know how people are so, like, good at it. I really don't. Like, I tried. I really tried. I'm like, very impressed with like speed waxers and just wax.
Tyler
I feel like you're smarter now than you were back then. Yeah, but like, I feel like you could do. I feel like you could get it right.
Savannah
I just don't think I do well with like, sticky stuff, to be honest. Okay, so I guess, like, if I had to pick.
Tyler
I forgot that was the question. I thought we were just hating on wax right now.
Savannah
I wouldn't do permanent makeup.
Tyler
I stress you the out.
Savannah
Oh my God. I'd have to like, take a Xanax after I was done. I think really the last one I ever microbladed was that. Do you remember? She wasn't a but.
Tyler
Oh, yeah, I do.
Savannah
When like, I'm mid microblading her and she was like, by the way, I'm on Accutane. And I'm like, yeah.
Tyler
Wait, was.
Savannah
No, she was actually really, really, really beautiful.
Tyler
No, but do you know who I'm talking about?
Savannah
No.
Tyler
There was one that like, I'm like, whispering and like, I'll never forget her.
Savannah
He's being a shit talker.
Tyler
I love to shit talk.
Savannah
Yeah, he does. So.
Tyler
And y' all do too.
Savannah
I don't. I really don't shit talk.
Tyler
No, I was talking to them.
Savannah
Oh, I don't have anything to say. I Guess I'll go lashes. I would do lashes. I was good at them. And they're peaceful.
Tyler
Good replacement for the glass skin toner.
Savannah
I was gonna talk to you about that, actually. To be continued. Right now, I just do Cel C.
Tyler
What to do if alto makes my skin look orange?
Savannah
Mix it with Trio and use less. And make sure you rub it in.
Tyler
Do you think you'll ever offer traditional facials at sba?
Savannah
I've thought about it. Because I actually really do enjoy massaging people. And I've been doing that lately, like, for the certain clients that I like. You guys are, like, wondering, why where I've been. Like, damn, that Aerolay's took a while. At the end, I'm just, like, giving them, like, a little massage I actually do love. I was actually. That was, like, my claim to fame, babe. It's my facial massage.
Tyler
She was really good at it.
Savannah
I'm very strong with my hands.
Tyler
I haven't been touched like that in years. Because now I'm never going to let anyone else touch my face like that. Best products for baby eczema. But on a budget, Sieve period and comfort cream. If you could only pick three drinks to drink for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Savannah
Three drinks.
Tyler
Okay, this is gonna be the last question of this episode. So.
Savannah
Water.
Tyler
The problem is she goes into, like, rabbit holes, and then she'll hate it.
Savannah
Like, I'll go with, like, a basic Coke. Like, just a soda. A basic Coke. Coke, yeah, just a Coke.
Tyler
Not Dr. Pepper.
Savannah
A Mexican Coke.
Tyler
Okay. Yeah.
Savannah
Coffee. It would have to be brown sugar shake and espresso. That's what I'd do. That's the trifecta. Was that really 20 minutes? Tyler's making me whip these out.
Tyler
Yeah, I'm sorry, y'. All. I mean, don't blame me, but it's either we do longer episodes or no. Or we do shorter episodes or no episodes. So mom is gone.
Savannah
Can't record from Indonesia.
Tyler
Yeah. So these next couple episodes are going to be a little bit on the shorter side. But just know, once we are into.
Savannah
The new season, 45 minutes to an hour.
Tyler
Yeah. You got us back.
Savannah
Yeah.
Tyler
So bear with us. Just enjoy these Q and A episodes. Know that we have a big, beautiful spa being built, and I'm going to.
Savannah
Go heal in Indonesia.
Tyler
Yeah. So we love you guys. Have a wonderful rest of your Monday, and you'll be getting more questions next week. Bye.
