Foreign. Welcome back. I look like a dying brat again. I'm actually about to go get a spray tan. So she looks dry and she looks pale and she looks ill. But it's okay because she's going to be tan and glowing after this podcast episode that you will not see me tan and glowing. So just enjoy this. So today we're going to talk about some steps that you can take to be the boss ass bitch you want to be. Okay. And step number one is to get really specific about your goals and visualize them. This is the best way to make your actions come to life, because your brain can truly not tell a difference between reality and dreams. So if you are sitting there and you're literally the more detailed you can be, the better envisioning the life that you want or the relationship that you want, the career that you want, and, like, step by step or going through it. And I like to do this right before I go to sleep, like, when I start to get in that dream state where I'm like, I'm almost there, but I'm not there yet. Like, that's for me when I feel like I can really manifest everything. And so visualization is a huge part of that for me, and I do it every single night. And the funny thing is, is I didn't know that that was what I was doing until a couple years ago when I saw, like, I don't even know what I saw. Maybe it was like a real or a TikTok or someone talking about it, but it kind of clicked. I'm like, oh, my God. I've been doing that for years. So getting really specific about what you want. You cannot bring in what you want if you don't know what it is that you want. Right? You're like, okay, I want more money. No, you have to actually, like, know what steps are you going to take to get that. And, like, showing up on top of the visualization is showing up as the person that already has that. So something that I loved is, like, before I was the Dallas esthetician, like, I started to tell myself that I was successful and I was not. You know, it's like, you gotta be a little delulu. So starting to have the habits that the version of you that you wanna be would already be doing. So, you know, if it's to have a better body, you know, when you're waking up early, like, you're someone who has like a s pack and you're going on a run and you're eating healthy, like, all of those things like you have to act the part, truly. Dress for the career you want, dress for the life you want. Treat your body the way that that person would treat their body. Speak the way that that person would speak. Watch things that that person would watch. Like, you can literally change your entire identity and just manifest the best version of yourself. And then one day it's like you're not pretending anymore. You're actually that bitch. And that truly is one of the best tips I can give you guys is to see it and dream it and visualize it. And then you have to show up as that person that has what you want. Other things too is to get away from people that are dreaming too small, People that tell you you're delusional, people that tell you that you can't do it, you are going to fail if you're around people that want you to fail and you will succeed if you're around people who want you to succeed. And it is lonely at the top. It is hard to find people that genuinely want you to do well. And one of my biggest things, like, thank God I had a controlling ex husband. I couldn't have friends that locked me in. I didn't have people, people around me being negative to me in that sense. You know, I was really just me, myself and I. So that is another really important step too is like, you are who you surround yourself around. I don't care. I can't stand it when people are like, oh yeah, like I'm friends with someone who like does really horrible things, but like, I'm not a horrible person. It's like if you're allowing that person in your energy, like one, you have weak boundaries. Two, you probably deep down are kind of like that person. And three, like, you're just not smart to let someone around you like that, like drain your energy and like be a reflection of you. Like, I don't want to be associated with people that are not good people. Your reputation is everything. It's so important to be around people that are not only good people, but also good for you. And there's a big difference. Like there's people that you know are good people, but they might not be the best people for you to be around. You know, and being around people that want to do well, they want to dream big. They want, you know, to sit down at happy hour and like talk about their goals and visions instead of talking shit about other people or like little teeny tiny, like small minded gossip, like that's not a table that I personally want to be at. So that's huge. And then I'd also say, put everything you're making back into your business. Don't pay yourself right off the bat. Like, you might have to eat ramen noodles and live with four or five roommates, but you have to put that money back in. Don't get a little bit of money and be like, oh, my God, I made my first $500 in one day. Let's go blow it at the club tonight. No, put that money, be disciplined with your money and put it back into your business. Um, and something my dad taught me, which has been so helpful, is if you can't afford to buy something three times and not be in debt or not have, like, a bad financial situation, then you can't get it. So if you want to buy a car and you can't buy that car three times and be okay financially, you cannot afford that car. And that has, like, same thing if I buy a purse. If I can't buy that purse three times and be fine, I'm not buying it, right? So I think that's such a big piece that people miss is like, oh, I can afford, like, this. But it's like, no, can you afford it three times? And that's how you always get yourself in a situation where you're not going to be in debt and you're not going to owe the banks and you're not going to, you know, struggle. I think people want things now and instantly, but, like, I don't know. I never was a big credit card girl until recently because I realized that I could be traveling for fucking free if I used a credit card. But, like, that scared me. Like, I really did because I never wanted to spend money I didn't have. And, like, obviously I need paid off, but, like, it was just like a whole thing. It was like a mental thing for me. And I was really young when I started making good money and I just liked having a debit card. And then everyone in my life was like, you're stupid. And I was, I will say you should probably use a credit card, but point being, like, literally to the point where I did not have credit because I never had a credit card. So, like, when I was going to buy my house, I had to do, like, crazy shit to get credit. My first home, the one I'm in right now, because I didn't have any credit. Like, I didn't have bad credit, but I didn't have credit. And my dad actually was like, it's actually worse have no credit than bad credit, which I don't know how true that is. Maybe it wasn't him that said that to me. I don't know. I'm not gonna put words in his mouth and I don't even know if that's true. But it was not great. It was not a great situation. I do know that. Next up, I would have to say, ooh, there's so many things I feel like helped me. I would have to say, you have to be your own motivator if, like, I think there are times when having a mentor can be helpful. But I'm gonna give you some tough love when I say a lot of people just need someone to pat them on the back and tell them that they're doing a good job and they're paying them ridiculous amounts of money to do that. And that's called a scammer. If somebody doesn't have the credentials and has not built a multi million dollar business or hasn't achieved something that you want, they have no business being your mentor and coaching you. Like, you just need a good therapist or a good friend in your life that can just hear you out and validate you. Don't waste money on that stuff. Like a lot of this stuff, guys, when it comes to business, this is a free podcast. You can learn it here. YouTube, TikTok books. There's so many good books and basically these people charge you a fuck ton of money to tell you everything that you could have learned in Barnes and Nobles. So yeah, don't waste your money on that. And then also I'd say is like getting really good at your craft. I see a lot of estheticians that are so focused on content and they're not focused on their skills. Like, it's great if you can get people to walk in the door, but you gotta have them stay and they gotta be rebooking and you gotta get your books filled. So the only way to do that is by being good at what you do. So first and foremost, focus on your skill, focus on your craft, and then start marketing it. And if you can do both at the same time, that's great. But marketing's only gonna get people in the door. It's not gonna get them to stay. And it's so important that they do. It's impressive when people have clienteles of clients that have been with them for years and years and years, you know, instead of people that are just kind of a rotating door. So that would be a big one for me. Let's see here. Investing in your team, pay people good and they will stay with you. That is a huge one for me, my team. And someone told me the other day, they're like, do you think you could lean out your team? And. Probably. But my team is so amazing. Like, it makes me emotional because I never thought I would have a team like this. And each and every one of them are just so loyal, such hard workers, such good people, and really, you can teach it. It's. It's. For me, I would rather hire someone with no experience that's like, a fucking amazing human being than someone who's not an amazing human and has been doing reception at a med spa for 10 years. Like, you know, I'd rather invest my time in building this person's skills because I know their heart is good. And, like, if I can teach them, they're gonna be with me, they're gonna be paid well, and they're gonna stay. So, yeah, I think people kind of miss the mark when they're just looking for someone that has the most experience, and then it's just kind of a revolving door. Something that I love my clients telling me is, like, it's so nice to come in and, like, see the same people every time. And especially when it's something so vulnerable, like your skin and you're dealing with acne and aging. Like, it's just nice to see the same people, you know, and, like, build that bond and connection with them and not just me, because at the end of the day, like, I am one person, and it's hard for me to be everywhere at once. And, you know, as Cyrus gets older and just as a single mom, like, I want to be home more. So it's important for me to have a team that my clients feel comfortable with so that I can not have to be there 24 7, you know? So I. I hope this is helpful for you guys. And truly, at the end of the day, like, the only person that can do it is you. Your mindset is your biggest asset. Master your mind. You have access to the best life. You just have to put in the work. And you've got to stop feeding yourself negativity. You got to stop dreaming small. If you think this, that the ceiling is the limit, then that's going to be the fucking limit. If you think you can literally fly, babe, you can fly. So start speaking positive to yourself, be a little bit delusional, and start making those habits that the version you want to be would do. And you're going to see such a big change in your life. And also, guys sit in silence Stop, like, every second, having to have TV or music or a podcast on. Like, really sit with yourself. Allow your highest self to come through. You're going to learn so much. Like, literally. My intuition has gotten so great lately because I sit with myself and I sit in silence. And, like, I know things that I should not fucking know. Okay? It's wild. And my dreams tell me things before they happen, and that happens. And everyone has this ability. It's just everyone's so distracted all the time and, you know. Or, like, gaslighting themselves. Like, I was the queen of gaslighting myself because, like, my parents gaslit me, boyfriends gaslit me. Like, the world gaslit me into thinking that I was crazy and, like, delusional. And now it's, like, crazy because, like, I'll tell Maria something. She's like, this didn't happen. I'm like, no. Like, I know it happened, and then, like, three days later, it happens. And it's because I had a dream that felt so real about something happening. And then it happens. And she's like, you're a wizard. And that I am. So, yeah. I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. I got to go get a spray tan, but hopefully this isn't the last episode. I may or may not get bit by a hammerhead shark or tiger shark or bull shark, but if I do die, I hope it's a hammerhead, because I feel like that's just more cunty. So. Yeah. But I'm not gonna die, because manifest positivity. They're gonna love me. They always do. All right, guys. Love you so much. Peace out, Girl Scout. See you later, alligator. And next Monday, Tyler will be back. God bless the US.
