Welcome back to the Blondest podcast. I'm your host, Savannah Nicole Boda. Did you see that one funny video? One of our. What do you call them? Podcast listeners. She was like, you're getting robbed, but you're listening to the Blondes podcast.
B
Yes. That was so funny. Whoever you are, you are loved.
A
We love you.
B
It was so unique. Like, I feel like that's so niche and that's so funny that she's like, I'm making this video.
A
People listen to this and we realize.
B
I. Yeah, like, sometimes.
A
Which is good because I feel like if we knew how many, like, the extent of, like, how many people listen to this, we'd probably be shy.
B
Yeah. Honestly. And then, like, our. Our podcast people will, like, tell us, and then I feel like we don't
A
do it every day.
B
Yeah. It doesn't, like, wrap it around my head because sometimes I'm like, do two people listen to this? And even if there were two, we're talking to y'. All.
A
Mm. Really quick. I've been getting a lot of questions about my Jersey Mike sandwich. If you have a Jersey Mike's near you. Listen, I used to not be a fan of a sub. It just like sandwiches. They didn't do it for me. And Jimmy John's. Well, I didn't like him. Subway. Jimmy John's. That man kills exotic animals for fun. Don't support him. And also before he did that, don't like his sandwiches. Firehouse sub. I do like a firehouse sub.
B
You need to try Snarfs. It's in Dallas.
A
Okay. No Jersey Mike's. I die for him. It's so good. We got one in farmland next to my parents house. Growing up, probably when I was like,
B
I feel like that was always there.
A
No, no, the one by the day came. Yes.
B
Oh.
A
Stay on your side of the mound. That's my side.
B
No, that's my side.
A
Oh. Are you sure that's near where Lance lived? We're on.
B
Yeah, but on that side of, like, where the Mooyatti.
A
That's right where it turns.
B
That's the border.
A
The Jersey Mike's borders, whatever. Anyway, it took me a while to figure out my order, but once you get it, it's happiness. It's like kind of like Genghis Grill or Chipotle. And the fact that, like, it takes a few times to figure out what you like. Your order. So if you guys have a Jersey Mike's near you, trust me, you're gonna love me. Get this order. I put so many people on it. You're welcome.
B
Like, four people in our office. Now. Order that. And so it gets so confusing when the sandwich is gone.
A
Get off my sandwich. Okay, you're going to get. Are you ready? Write this down. Pull over if you're driving. Number seven on rosemary bread. You have to get the rosemary bread. Mike Sway, which is, like, all the, like, oils and vinaigrettes. Even if you don't like oils and vinaigrettes and seasonings, you'll like this. Okay.
B
Mike Sway is also lettuce, tomato, onion.
A
Yes. But you do know tomato, unless you're a tomato person. But I. I like tomato. I don't like tomato in a sandwich. Not for me. And then you get honey mustard and red pepper relish. So a number seven. Mike Sway. Rosemary bread, no tomato. Add red pepper. Add red pepper relish and honey mustard, and you're going to love it.
B
I can see how that took a while to get there.
A
Yeah.
B
Because, like, in what world is that your first order?
A
Like, you walk in, it's so good. And then we went after on the 3rd, the day before the 4th of July, and this bitch gave me ham. And I only eat chicken. And so I'm like, it's really rad. Ham's very rad compared to turkey. Turkey's, like, pale. Very pale. And so I'm like, this tastes like ham. And my boyfriend's like, it's not ham. And I was like, it's ham. And he's like, it's not ham. I said, you're gaslighting me. This is ham. And so I'm like, go ask. And so he goes up and she's like, oh, yeah, that's him. I said, you motherfucker. I knew. Ugh. Anyway, I didn't die, but it did. Like, I don't have, like, a protect the pigs mindset. It's just like, I think pigs are gross.
B
Yeah.
A
And they're cute. They're disgusting and cute. It's like, I don't want to eat you because you're so cute, but you're also disgusting. I don't want to eat you. Yeah, but also, chickens are really dirty, too. I mean, all. I mean, chickens are pretty gross, too. I'm not gonna lie.
B
The more you thought about it, you
A
were like, actually, I can't claim that because chickens are pretty dirty.
B
So back to them being cute.
A
Chicks are cute. Chickens are cute, too.
B
Yeah.
A
Anyway, that was.
B
But that also, baby pigs are cute. Full grown pigs aren't that cute.
A
No, I like. I like them all.
B
Oh,
A
okay.
B
Question me up temper, little Q&A Y', all, I'm a new esthetician working to grow my business. What are some product lines you recommend?
A
I would get Glymedia for sure and Face Reality. I think those are two amazing things to start with.
B
And for Face Reality, go to the link in our bio because you get special pricing and, like, a huge, like, welcome basket with freebies if you sign up with Savannah's link. If you sign up. If you just go to Face Reality and sign up on your own, you're not going to get as much. How to get rid of whiteheads around my cheeks and chin area. I've tried everything.
A
I would get them extracted if you can. I would also do peel pads from Skin Better three times a week and then intensive Alpharett.
B
What are your top three items for Dull, uneven skin, slightly sensitive
A
Hydrobiome, Mist. That's all gonna be Epicutus, funny enough. Hydrobiomist, Lipid, Serum Arctogenin Brightening treatment.
B
Love.
A
That's such a good. That's such a fire fucking combination. And you apply in that order, too.
B
I use Epicutus, Brightening, Arctogenin and Lipid in the morning. Is it necessary to add platinum?
A
Is it necessary?
B
Is it necessary?
A
Is it necessary to.
B
And play dead?
A
You sound like a Villis. Did I say necessary?
B
Necessary.
A
Necessary?
B
No, I'm not saying that. Play it back.
A
You know what I said last night again? My boyfriend, he was just, like, clocking me. Okay. And I was like, you're reading me to filth. And he said, what was that? And I said, you're reading me to filth.
B
Oh.
A
I was like, have you never heard that term? He was like, say it again. Slow. And I was like, you're reading me to thil. Thilth.
B
Did you think that was the word?
A
I do.
B
No, not I do. Please say I did. At least I still do.
A
Filth. You're filthy.
B
No.
A
Filthy little girl.
B
No. There's no way you think that.
A
I do. Babe,
B
it's okay.
A
He was like, facetime. Tyler, thank God. My phone was dead. I was like, I don't want to get roasted by both of you motherfuckers.
B
It's okay. I have one of those at home, too.
A
So. Are you sure it's not filth?
B
I'm 100%.
A
Then what is it?
B
Spell it for me.
A
F, I, T, H. No.
B
Also no. You missed the word.
A
You missed the letter F L, I,
B
T, H. Also no. F, I, L, T, H. Okay, so where are you getting th in the beginning?
A
Filthy.
B
No, that's like when Maria says, Pizza. Where is filth?
A
It's always been filthy. Like, filthy little girl.
B
No, filthy.
A
Filthy little pig.
B
Filthy little pig.
A
Yeah, it's just filthy.
B
Yeah. I think that just shows that, like, you learned your words.
A
I went to a Christian school.
B
Well, I'm saying I think it learned your words.
A
I was learning about Jesus.
B
Well, you learned your words through hearing incorrectly, but hearing nonetheless instead of reading. Because I feel like if you.
A
I fraud.
B
Yeah. You don't love it.
A
I actually didn't read and I lied about all of my. Remember in summer when you're supposed to do the summer.
B
Oh, the summer reading your parents have to sign off on.
A
I always picked if I had to do a book report, I always picked a book that had a movie
B
that surprises me not.
A
I skated by guys. Okay. I wasn't into it, but if I'm into it, I do really well. But if I'm not into it, I'm not gonna do it. But anyway, so I just had to tell you that. Cause he was like, please tell Tyler about this because he's gonna, like, laugh.
B
You know, I thought you just, like, said it wrong the first time. But the fact that you, like, stood 10 toes down, I still.
A
And I don't think I'll ever say it right because I've just always said filthy. That's a filthy little thing.
B
I don't think I've ever noticed that.
A
Okay, what was the question that I didn't answer because you asked and then I didn't answer.
B
If I'm using Epicutus, Arctogenin and lipid serum in the morning, is it necessary to add plated?
A
Yes, because neither of those are exosomes. One's a brightening treatment and then the other one is like liquid ibuprofen. So hydrating and reducing inflammation. But the exosomes are going to help with cell renewal. Everything. It has phospholipids, it's going to have phosphoproteins. It also has glutathione. Everything that your skin needs to be healthy. Skin structure.
B
What is a pregnancy safe alternative to Alpharette?
A
Clearing serum active serum from is clinical.
B
Layering the oxygen mask and sulfur mask. Do you mean at the same time?
A
You can, but you could also do them back to back. And I would do oxygen mask first for like 10, 15 minutes, wash it off, dry your skin and then do sulfur mask for like 10, 15 minutes. Or you can mix them together.
B
Lipid serum versus restorative ha.
A
Well, I would say restorative ha is more hydrating. It's thicker. It has dual weight hyaluronic acid, so large and small. So it's going to go super deep and on the surface to instantly hydrate. Has Agasaki mexicana to lower your skin's temperature. Helps a lot with just heat and inflammation too. Lipid serum is going to be more about protecting your skin from inflammation to its core. Like TSD is the best molecule to reduce inflammation and it's also gonna help with redness. It's also gonna help protect your collagen and elastin from degrading. And it protects your skin from blue light. Mm.
B
Favorite bath bomb.
A
Honestly, I feel like baths were my escape when I was in a marriage I didn't wanna be in and so I don't. Now that I'm kind of happy, I feel like I'm not really bathing as much. The bath was my safe space. I am bathing. But favorite bath bomb. I like. Right now I'm liking the narcissist one. I think that's how you say it. It's blue from. Well, actually it's yellow from Lush. But it makes your water turquoise like Maldives Bora Bora water blue. It's so pretty. And it has little flowers on it.
B
Ryan would love that.
A
So pretty. I used to like intergalactic, but sometimes when there's a lot of minty stuff in bath bombs, it makes me really cold. And then I'm like when I get out. So I don't love that anymore. The sex bomb smells great. And I love jasmine. Jasmine's an aphrodisiac also. It's a really good smell. And then the purple one, the goddess one, These are all from Lush. I like that one too.
B
I like. I feel like the ones that have the shit in them are so pretty. But I hate cleaning it up. Like it's like not worth it. Using mandelic serum for years. Love it. But not strong enough to beat my blackheads.
A
Add on in sulfur mask and oxygen deep pore mask and clearing serum at night.
B
Hi. What's your favorite Mandelic serum? Also needed if you're already using azelaic.
A
If you're feeling like you need more exfoliation, Azelaic is not as exfoliating. So you can switch to mandelic or alternate days and face reality. I love their mandelic.
B
Is Aralay successful with keloids?
A
Absolutely. Actually, it's crazy. I don't know what HS is. Yes. Products. For HS scars and flare ups, I would do sieve. I would do lipid serum. And for the scarring I'd probably do Vivid Brightening serum if it's discolored.
B
How do I heal my back acne? I've tried a lot of products and my skin gets irritated.
A
I would start off low and slow. I'd start with Perfect body wash. Super gentle but very, very, very effective. I'd use that every day. And then I would do 8% mandelic on your back morning and night and then eventually bump up to 11. And then use Encore body hydrator on top so you don't over dry.
B
Best spot treatment for cystic acne, I
A
would say sulfur mask and then the blemish age eraser which is the blue and red light therapy blemish patch.
B
Bridal Era Skincare Rex.
A
Ooh. I for sure would get on even intensive to help even out your skin tone and help with texture. And then I would get peel pads to use a couple times a week. And then I would get plated Intense serum and carboxy mousse for the glow.
B
My dark spots on my forehead are not going away. What to use?
A
Start taking the Cyspera Total skin supplements because it treats the pigment from within. And then also the intensive mask from them to use for 15 minutes every single day. And then morning and night. Use Vivid brightening serum.
B
This is so sweet. That makes me sad that we didn't see this. Can you please sign my book?
A
I did.
B
Oh, you did?
A
Yeah, I signed her book.
B
Okay, good.
A
Unless it's another person, but I don't think two people in one day signed their book.
B
Probably not. Okay, that makes me happy.
A
Yeah, we signed it.
B
Slight.
A
A 47 year old male with rosacea CBD mist. Well, first you're gonna cleanse your face with barrier pro cleanser. Spray your face with CBD mist. Then you're gonna do lipid serum that will last you nine months. Don't freak out at the price. It'll last a really long time. You just need a pea size amount and then you're gonna do solo for men and then maestro active balance serum on top and then sheer stick.
B
I just wanna say, lipid serum will last at a minimum twice as long as any other product that we carry.
A
Yeah. And people are like sticker shocked. She's expensive, but she. I will say, out of all the products plated, babe, you're getting six weeks. Okay, let's be real. If you're using it morning and night and if you're using two pumps.
B
Two pumps?
A
Yeah, maybe five. Basically the same price as lipid serum. Lipid serum will last you. You could have five different relationships with that bottle. Like, you could go through dating 10 different men by the time you finish that bottle. Could go through an entire pregnancy. You could grow a human in your belly while using that product. Nine months, for sure.
B
I burnt my lips over the weekend.
A
I already answered her dm, But I
B
told her that's what I used to help.
A
Yeah, she burnt her lips really bad. Restorative. Ha. And then the Ace body oil on top. Y.
B
Some of these were answered on our stories, but I'm like, if the people didn't see, they can still hear. Can Aerolay break me out on spots that we're focused on?
A
Absolutely. You can purge.
B
Ooh, this is kind of spicy.
A
Oh.
B
If you were to choose only two brands to carry a sva, what would they be?
A
Faciality and skin butter. Because of their diverse portfolio, I feel like I do a lot.
B
One's aging, one's acne.
A
Yeah.
B
And they kind of. Yeah.
A
And both are aging and acne. They both. Yeah, they play well. And then one's higher end, one's lower. So price wise, for clients, it'd just
B
be easy and, like, different ingredient profiles in the products. I like that.
A
I like you. I guess. I got really high last night and ordered 12 different popsicles for the house. Oh, I got. They're all from Central Market, so it's healthy. I got the good pop watermelon freeze pop. Cyrus loves those. But also I like to have a really stocked popsicle drawer. And, like, I just hadn't gone popsicle shopping, so, like, this was What?
B
Can I see these?
A
Okay. Then I got these Van Leeuwen strawberry shortcake ice cream bars. And then I got Creamies. I've never tried Creamies, but Creamies ice cream. Mango creamy, which sounds really good. And I got another Van Leeuwen toffee brown sugar ice cream bar. I got a gelato mango lime sorbet. I. I got Nancy's fancy's gelato. I don't know what flavor that is. I got a passion fruit from Jenny's. I also got a Jenny's churro ice cream. And then I did get Garrett's popcorn Caramel crisp. Cause I thought I had a great idea that, like, how good would it be to get, like, a chocolate ice cream and then put caramel popcorn in it?
B
Mm. Mm.
A
You know, and then I got a Cajun party mix. And then I got flavor blasted goldfish for Cyrus. And then I got garlic chicken sausage.
B
Yeah, Savannah used to have this thing back in the day. No, she hasn't done it in a long time. Back in the day, we would come into the office and either sitting on the door already or shortly after we arrived. There was one time in particular that was so insane.
A
Was it the Lone Star popcorn?
B
Yes. If you are from the area, is it a chain or is it like, I don't know. Okay. It's called Lone Star popcorn. There's one in Flower Mound and it's
A
like a gourmet popcorn. Gourmet popcorn?
B
Yeah. Savannah ordered and they sell. They sell bags that are this big all the way down.
A
They have mini and then they have like there's a something and then the regular is this big.
B
Yeah, the regular is this big. But she's still thin.
A
Yeah.
B
And then there's the ones that are this big and this tall. And Savannah ordered. Savannah ordered like four of that size. Then like three, like of the regular large size. And like it was like an insane amount of popcorn. Maria calls Savannah and is like, hey, are you okay? Did you order this? And Savannah, I think you said no at first. Like, I think you did it like, like, did you take Ambien? Because like, I'm pretty sure you were like, no, I didn't. And then he looked and you were like, oh yeah, I did. I place it at like one in the morning.
A
I think I just woke up. I was having a dream about like working at a popcorn. Fact. I know what it was. I was having a really vivid dream about working at a popcorn factory and trying all this popcorn. And then I think I was sleepwalking, but sleep shopping
B
anyway. You've done it with nothing. Bundt cakes. You've done it with.
A
I've done it with everything. Next. At least I feed my children.
B
Yeah, it's true. It's just a funny quirk about you.
A
So funny. How much pound of chicken do I need to get for dinner?
B
I don't cook.
A
One and a half, Two pounds?
B
I don't cook. Do y' all know about cooking chicken? No.
A
We got a head shake, a mass chop.
B
$10. How many are you feeding me?
A
Cyrus and Sterling, how many pounds of chicken should I get? If it's a thin sliced breast for three people, one of them is five.
B
Just get two pounds.
A
Yeah. Okay, cool. Next question.
B
What's the best body? Retinol
A
off red body.
B
What is your favorite everyday cleanser?
A
Cleansing gel. I love cleansing gel. My favorite. I love her.
B
I remember the first name.
A
Whipping cream. Is there a difference between heavy whipping cream and just heavy cream? Are they all this? I think that's all the same.
B
I Don't know me either. Oh, my goodness.
A
Continue.
B
I'm like, choking.
A
Oh, he wants chicken thighs.
B
No, wait. You know when we got Jersey, Mike's in the office the other day, when they brought it, they had a thigh of chicken. No, Ryan got a bone. I walked into the office and he's sitting there like. And, like, reaching in.
A
He had a bone.
B
And I was so confused because I thought. I thought he had like. Like a weird. Like, you know when you bite into chicken, you have like a weird crunchy piece or something like that. And so I thought that's what was happening. Apparently he was fully choking. He eventually went and a piece this big of unchewed sandwich came out of his throat that was lodged. And he looked at me and was like, you didn't do anything to help me. Like, I. I couldn't breathe. And you were just standing there like. Because I was looking at him like, why are you digging in your mouth? Oh, no.
A
But it wasn't a bone.
B
No, it was just like, he didn't chew.
A
It's funny because I got banned from eating salami at school because I wouldn't chew it and the salami would always get stuck in my throat.
B
That's exactly what happened.
A
And I was at school and they called my parents to, like, never give her salami again. It's a thing. Is it chicken thigh dark meat?
B
Yes, it is. Chicken breast is quite meat.
A
Why does he want me to do that?
B
I won't eat chicken thighs. Not for me. Nope. How many said is the hair trifecta? BF friendly breastfeeding non boyfriend. That's.
A
Yeah, fucking gay.
B
I was so confused.
A
Yes, it is.
B
I just bought the plated eye serum. Do I need to put an eye cream over it or is the serum enough?
A
I think you need an eye cream. If you're a dry girly pop like me. I would do eye renew or innerfuse eye. I prefer inner fuse eye. And then there was one I wanted to answer. How to get rid of my rosacea. I have textured skin that's dry and acne too. You have papulopustular rosacea. You need to use lipid serum and then maestro active balance. And then you need to use clearing serum. And you'll be so happy. Those three products you'll be.
B
And come in and see us for
A
an aerial lace if you're local.
B
Yeah. Do you want to open more locations?
A
Not right now.
B
One's enough.
A
One's enough.
B
We just went from 1200 square feet to 5000.
A
It's just like a whole.
B
It's a headache.
A
What is tarragon? It's a fun name. He's like such a little chef. He's over here. Like, you need fresh rosemary and fresh.
B
I need to send you a recipe that you need to make.
A
Me or him?
B
Well, yeah. Someone in your household for you to eat.
A
I'm cold. Okay, one more, one more, two more. There ain't no fresh rosemary on here. I guess it ain't season difference between
B
plated and dermatology growth factor serums.
A
Well, one's exosomes and one's growth factors. I prefer exosomes. They have more in them. They have growth factors in them.
B
They have growth factors. They have the antioxidants.
A
They have everything. So you're getting so much more glutathione. You're getting phosphoproteins.
B
And if you think about it, it's like, think about growth factor. So it's kind of like the evolution of technology. This is something we learned or Savannah taught me in her class in iecsc. It's kind of like the evolution of technology where, you know, back in, like, the 19, late 1900s, like, that sounds so long ago, but like 1980, 1990, whatever, it was all about retinol antioxidants. And it's like a rotary phone, like, where you, like, did the little. And then came flip phones in the 2000s, and that's when, like, peptides and growth factors really started, like, getting their heyday. And then we started to get smartphones. And that's how, like, you can consider an exosome. Like, it's like the next generation of skin rejuvenation. So last question. What products would you recommend for kids ages 8 through 10 experiencing some blackheads?
A
I'd probably do Mandalic 5%, honestly.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Or even, like, Mandela gouache.
A
Yeah, that'd be good. Or the scrub. The scrub would be great. The mandelic scrub. That's so smart.
B
Alrighty, y'. All. Well, alrighty, y'.
A
All.
B
Well, that's our cue.
A
That's our cue. We gotta go. We're gonna get.
B
Have a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful rest of your week. We love you guys. Happy Monday.
