Hi, guys. Welcome back to the Blondest podcast.
A
Welcome back. Happy New year.
B
Happy New Year.
A
We are going to be starting off this new year strong with a Q.
B
A. I hope there's some good ones on here.
A
So let's just get right into it.
B
Let's get right into it.
A
Okay. Are you ready?
B
Yeah, I'm ready. I'm always ready, babe.
A
Okay. Products for old breast lift scars.
B
I would needle those and do an ablative laser like the ERA peel pads from skin better can help alpharette body and the intense serum from plated. But if they're old, like, you're gonna wanna do a treatment period.
A
What bubble bath do you recommend that's good and acne safe?
B
None, unless you just like put perfect body as your bubble bath. The perfect body wash is like the.
A
Bubble bars from Lush.
B
Oh, God, no.
A
Like fragrance.
B
Oh, yeah. No, I mean, they don't break my body out, but I just probably would avoid it.
A
Products for my boyfriend's cystic acne. Near the nape of his neck not present on faced and his back knee is cleared. What is the name? Like this.
B
Yeah, I would make sure he's not wearing anything that's like rubbing causing friction. Cause that could be acne Mechanica, which is when dirt and dead skin gets trapped in sweat and all that jazz. So I would do that first and foremost. And then I would also make sure that he's using like acne med 2.5 and like mandelic 15% or 11% which you can get with password protection on savannahboda.com.
A
My lips are so dry and peeling around the edge.
B
Oh, fuck you.
A
Nothing is helping. What's your favorite lip product? My fave lip product are super dry and peeling lips.
B
I would do lip luxe or luxe lip from Hydrinity because it's a dual way. Ha. And it has these little spheres that go into your lips and actually help it, like penetrate deeper. So it's some good shit.
A
Color science flex makes me break out, but I love it so much. Does glow cause irritation?
B
Honestly, Glow is the one that doesn't cause issues for me. Everything else does.
A
Here's what we've kind of theorized on our own and we've talked to people at Color Science about this because some people, I would say a very small amount of people, but that is Savannah and I, Savannah, sometimes me all the time, has a sensitivity to the flex. And after talking through it, we think it may be due to the pigment encapsulation, not the actual pigment in the product. But the pigment, as you guys know, like, the flex comes out white. And then whenever you mix it together, that's when the pigment mixes in the pigments and little, like, encapsulated material. And we think it's the encapsulated material that can cause, like, irritation to the skin, which, if you have sensitive skin or acne prone skin, irritation is going to cause breakouts. But where I was going with that is the glow and the bronze face shields. The pigment's already mixed in, so you're not having any of that encapsulation. And that's why most people don't have issues with it.
B
Did you ask Elizabeth if my camera was in that cheetah bag?
A
I texted her. I don't believe she has responded, though.
B
Okay, next.
A
Have you ever used the CO2V?
B
Honestly, no.
A
I mean, we don't sell it, so you don't have to feel bad.
B
I have not.
A
She has been given it multiple times, but I think she's too afraid.
B
No, it's a lot of work.
A
I mean, it seems daunting. Like you're supposed to squirt it up there.
B
I'm scared it will never come out.
A
That's what I'm saying. And you're.
B
I don't want to, like, fish it out. I have short fingers. I don't think I can get all the way to my cervix. If it was up there. I'd have to, like, get a spoon, like, scrape it out. I'm good.
A
Yeah. I don't. I don't. I really don't understand the process of it. Like, how does it come out? I don't get it. How are you healing both physically and emotionally?
B
From what, the divorce or my tits and puss?
A
Maybe all the above. They didn't elaborate. They just said healing in general. Can you hang up and hang out and pay attention to me?
B
I think the valet stole my fucking camera. But why would. Look at my. Go down there?
A
No, I went in there four times.
B
No, no, no, no. But is my cash.
A
Oh, no, your. Your cash is untouched. This is exactly how it looks.
B
Okay. Don't show them. Okay. What was the question?
A
I left it under the table. How are you healing both physically and emotionally? Not good.
B
I did have to get my puss restitched under local anesthesia, and I was awake and that was, like, pretty traumatic. But, like, I wouldn't recommend it. But it was finer than that. I just had a stitch that, like, prematurely came apart and.
A
So would you recommend it?
B
I would.
A
Okay. I thought so.
B
It just Wasn't fun to have. It was the numbing that hurt because it was like, this needle is like this long.
A
Don't want to think about it.
B
And it was like right next to my clitoris and so. And I was so scared that I was gonna, like, like lose my clit. It was so close.
A
Okay. I didn't know where you were going with that.
B
So anyway, it was really scary, but it was worth it and it's fine. Emotionally. I'm good.
A
Recommendation on a hydrating mist that leaves the skin glowy.
B
I would do the barrier Pro from Color Science.
A
What good tips would you give to someone beginning their career as an esthetician?
B
Really focus on your craft and skill before social media. I know. She just texted me too.
A
It's at the office. Time will tell. Sorry, y'. All. The saga of this camera is going to be a two episode Spanish.
B
Okay. Yeah, no, I'm spiraling because there's. It wouldn't be that bad. 1. You can't get this camera anywhere. Okay. It's hard to get. I do have another one, but I have one for, like, professional and personal uses. 2. I did a fucking lingerie shoot and there's photos of me that are like, funny, but not for the public to see. Like, whoever finds this camera, I'm so stressed. Like, I. Like, it's not like naked photos of me, but like, basically like, that's not good.
A
You look great.
B
I do, but that doesn't matter.
A
Okay. Good tips for someone beginning their career as an esthetician.
B
I would say, like I said, skill. Your skill. You got to be good at what you do. Because if you're good at marketing and you get clients, you're not going to keep them. It's about keeping the clients. So you got to have both lipid.
A
Serum once or twice a day.
B
Twice if you can. And honestly, that's the one that people get nervous about spending money on because it's so expensive. But it's worth every penny and it'll last you a year. And you only need a pea size amount, so it's like, comes out to like, cents a day.
A
What's your lip color today?
B
Well. Oh, oh, yeah. I did ask this today. I was like, what was I wearing when I posted this? Q A.
A
She posted it today.
B
Sorry, I'm doing on gloss spice cake, but the lip liner is here. Let's find out. Oh, no, look at that.
A
Yep, that was.
B
That's deep taupe from Anastasia Beverly Hills with on gloss spice cake on our.
A
Website Hydrafacial influence or D Influence D influence.
B
Horrible company.
A
Are we going to leave it at that?
B
Yeah, like, it's a good glow and go facial. But the company has gone downhill. The support is shit. They don't care about their customers anymore. We can't get in contact even, like, that's what I'm saying. Like, even us, like, as a huge account, we literally. I've never had a rotating door of reps in the way that I have with hydrafacials. Like, literally once a month, like twice a month at that point. Like, I'm like, who's our point of contact? And it sucks because the hydrafacial is a good device. The new one is terrible. Breaks all the time. Like, it is so unreliable. That's like one of my biggest things is, like, if you're going to invest in a device and it's not foolproof, like, I understand maybe once in two years something breaking down, but for the price you're paying, it's literally the price of a car. It shouldn't have this many issues. And, like, for people that are small businesses that like, what they make in a day feeds their fucking family. And, like, I was at that point in my life too where, like, if I had to turn down a 300, 200 service and like, lose half my clients that day, like, I wouldn't have been able to survive and fend for myself. And so it's fucked up to put your customers in a situation like that. Especially solo estheticians, which are predominantly, like, no, I mean, big spots have hydrafacials too. But I just think that's shitty and it shouldn't have that many issues for how much it cost and the costs keep going up. I mean, I could go on, on about it. Like, it's just frustrating. Like, honestly. And it pisses me off for my fellow estheticians that get ghosted as soon as they get a device. So I hope they hire someone and restructure it. This is not like a jab at anyone specifically, but, like, they need to get their shit together.
A
Yeah, the horse is coming.
B
Yeah. Whoever that CEO is has got to go.
A
My skin gets so flaky in the winter and I exfoliate and moisturize a lot. No improvement.
B
They need to exfoliate.
A
No, they said they do. Oh, I exfoliate and moisturize a lot. No improvement.
B
I would get the PC 10. Oh, they changed the name. The Peptide Micro Scrub and the rejuvenating peptide mask and the peptide cleanser and just do that for like three days straight.
A
And self protection bomb. If I remember if I'm ever getting flaky. I feel like two days of using the self protection balm and my barrier's locked in again. How was your boob recovery? Are you still sore?
B
No, they're good. They feel good.
A
What do you do if your face burns? Putting comfort cream on.
B
I would do Truluxe instead. It's or Hyvia. Super gentle. I love Hyvia.
A
If you stop using plated hair serum, will you lose the results you gained from it?
B
I mean, pigment is something that you have to control. You can't cure it.
A
Wait, baby, what? Scispera Plated hair serum. I absolutely rolled the date back. I absolutely did not.
B
Anyway, are you sure?
A
Yes.
B
Okay. No, you won't lose your results, but it's not gonna keep getting better, especially if you have hormonal factors or you're like bleaching and dyeing your hair like you want to keep using it. You're not gonna like lose hair from stopping it. You're just not going to continue to get the results you want.
A
Or if you're like continually damaging your hair, then. When would we apply a face mask? After cleansing. Then apply other products? Yes.
B
Yeah. After cleansing?
A
Yeah. When would you apply a face mask?
B
After cleansing? Before products.
A
Can GHK CU peptide help with acne? What benefits have you noticed?
B
I mean, it is anti inflammatory, so I feel like it wouldn't hurt, but I don't think there's any like concrete evidence that like that alone would clear your skin.
A
So.
B
But I think it definitely helps with the inflammatory aspect.
A
Makeup pilling on top of lipid serum.
B
Use way less and pat it in skin better.
A
Biore wine or NAD supplements or both?
B
I would do both. They're very different. So you're not going to get the same result. Biore wine is going to help more with glycation and stress and aging. NAD is great for metabolic boosting, but I wouldn't say it's going to help with glycation.
A
What to use for hollow under eyes?
B
I would do plated eye. That's my favorite because it's like a bluff in a bottle and it helps rebuild those fat pads. But then you could also do volume cream from adipo underneath too, and that would help a lot. I would do plated first and then and cream on top.
A
Do you believe in derma rolling at home?
B
No.
A
How did you know it was time to leave your marriage?
B
I was so depressed. I wanted to die every day.
A
You felt like a prisoner in your own home.
B
Like my home was not Safe.
A
Yeah.
B
Can you text Elizabeth the code to.
A
The spa you sent her over there?
B
Yes, I sent her over there. She's my house manager. She saves my life.
A
That's so funny.
B
I will spiral. I'm so far away. I don't have time to go over there. Like, that's why you have people in your life that you pay to help you.
A
I guess that's true. I just. I thought it could have waited till tomorrow.
B
No, I can't. Okay, Tyler, if there weren't photos of me like that, I would be like, oh, whatever, it's just a camera. Like, I'll replace it. Like, you know, how much should I lose and replace. It's not that deep. It's because there are photos on there that I don't want. Yeah, out there.
A
That's fair.
B
Is it because you're giving me shit?
A
No, no, no, no. I just. I just didn't know you were sending her over there.
B
I have to know. I'm not going to be okay today. I'm not going to enjoy my day. My day's done. The day's over. Fucking wrap the cameras. Like the day. Until this is found, we are not resting, we're not eating, we're not fucking sleeping. We're going full fucking. What do they call it? Amber alert on this damn camera.
A
That has to be Titi. Titi was the last culprit that had it in her hand.
B
No, but I had it in the car. And so I think the valet guy stole it.
A
You're positive you had it in the car?
B
Lauren's Mann stole it.
A
You had it in the car on the way home from the shoot or.
B
You had it on the way home from the shoot? 1,010%.
A
Okay.
B
Before it fell out.
A
After that, it's dark. Okay. You didn't touch it when you went out?
B
No. I don't take my camera out to the fucking clubs. I don't go to the clubs. To the bar, to hind.
A
You're right. That's fair. I just didn't know if, like.
B
No, I would never, ever bring her there. She deserves better.
A
You remember seeing it getting out of the car?
B
I put those photos on my phone while I was in the car with Maria.
A
Okay. And she was driving.
B
She was driving my Jeep.
A
Okay. And so you did it yourself?
B
Yes.
A
Okay. Proud of you.
B
Thank you.
A
Is there a product.
B
Doing it myself.
A
Is there a product that after some time using, you haven't found to be too fond of? I didn't even ask him. Look how sweet he is.
B
He is so sweet. I love him.
A
Did you see his text?
B
Yeah. His boyfriend's gonna let me borrow his camera.
A
Is there a product that after some time using you haven't found?
B
Oh, I know.
A
Okay.
B
I'm thinking no, not really.
A
Mm.
B
Mm.
A
How do you deal with anxiety while being a service provider? I feel like it holds me back.
B
I used to be like that too. I think grounding yourself is huge because it's a lot of energy transfer and like energy exchange. So it's really important to like stay grounded and like breathing exercises, all that.
A
I feel like also like spending a lot of time on your education.
B
Yeah.
A
I feel like if you're confident. Yeah, exactly.
B
You didn't post my photos.
A
What are you talking about? Once I texted you, I didn't see photos. I was on the phone with Josh. Oh, my God. Right over. What? Laser as a one person clinic is the most beneficial.
B
Aerial Neo elite. You can do everything with her. Pigment acne, rosacea, melasma, skin tags, scarring, ulcers, toe fungus, terangiomas.
A
Do you have extensions?
B
No. Plaided hair.
A
Which resource material would you advise an esthetician to use to upgrade skills?
B
Any trade show, any free trainings that you can get following estheticians you look up to. Faciality is amazing for acne. I also have an acne webinar, a pigment webinar. We're coming out with.
A
A consultation webinar.
B
Yep.
A
Soon you can find it on eventbrite to register. It is on January 20th, I believe. Tuesday. And. Where do you put volume cream in a skincare routine right before moisturizer? What's your most favorite moisturizer at the moment?
B
Trulux. I love her. For the winner.
A
What's the most effective way to build clientele when you're wanting to go solo?
B
Get good before and afters and referral program for sure.
A
Savannah used to do. We've talked about this before, but Savannah used to do a lot of free treatments on people who had especially bad skin. Yeah, well, you said it nicer than I did. That was not nice. More severe acne and other conditions like that. Just because she knew she could get them clear and it would be a dramatic before and after and at the end of the day, like that's what's going to get people in the building. If they see someone who looks like they have their skin or worse than their skin get clear, they're going to feel confident in going to you that you'll be able to do the same for them. So if you're trading, you know, 30 minutes of your time every two weeks to get someone clear and it brings you in 100 new clients. It was a good return on investment.
B
Yep.
A
Do you regret the boob job?
B
No, not at all.
A
I've actually never seen her more confident. Best full coverage makeup for acne prone skin Oxygenetics.
B
I'm actually posting that right now. Oxygenetics is the best.
A
She's buildable.
B
She's buildable. She's acne safe. She's a queen.
A
Tell us more about the injections on peptides or the peptide injectable peptides.
B
So BPC157 sounds like it sounds like.
A
A experiment from lilo and such. Yeah.
B
That's so funny.
A
BPC157.
B
Yeah. I'm buying this sweatshirt that says avoidant for Lauren because she's an avoidant and you should buy.
A
Do they have one that says anxious?
B
I don't know. Should I get her a medium or a large? A large, but it's like a. I guess it could be, but it's like a sweater.
A
Oh, hang on.
B
Fit details. Designed to have a relaxed fit throughout. The model's wearing an extra small and she's five nine. Oh, look how big that looks.
A
If you got her a large, it would have been done to her knees.
B
I'll get her a small.
A
That's so funny.
B
That's so funny. I'm getting this for her. My little avoidant. I need to be more like Lauren when it comes to dating. She's cold hearted. She's a cold hearted snake.
A
She doesn't date well.
B
Yeah, that's why.
A
Yeah. Everyone's asking about your peptides. Like so many questions about them.
B
Okay, so that one, the BPC157, really anti inflammatory. The GKHCU is a copper peptide and that's like GHKCU. Yeah. You know I'm dyslexic.
A
Yeah, I know, I know you know it.
B
But that's like the beauty peptide. So glowing skin. And then I'm on TB4 and that one helps with like healing and repairing and. Yeah, and then that's it.
A
So you pared down a little bit.
B
Yeah, I was on Sally Bristolin or cerebrosalin for a little bit for my anxiety. I'm hungry and stressed.
A
We only have. We'll take two more questions. What's the best body wash for intimate areas?
B
Perfect body wash. So good for ingrowns too. And if you have darkening in your intimate area, it's great.
A
Somebody said, how many photo shoots do you do a week?
B
Well, a lot of My photos don't have tits and I knew I now have tits, so I have to reduce them.
A
Well, we've been having a lot of like new products. We've had new products come in lately that we need to get shot for different partnerships or whatnot we have.
B
And I'm really good friends with my photographer, so it's like, it's super easy. It's really chill and easy. Like sometimes we just want to hang out and so we just go for like an hour, get some photos, go grab some food. So it's not like I'm having these like whole full day like photo shoot.
A
No, honestly, it's so much better now. I would rather have how it's been like a photo shoot every few weeks because we used to do once a quarter and it would be like 18 hour days. Like it would. Yeah, like we'd be leaving at one in the morning and I literally like.
B
At the end of it have like one eye bigger than the other because I'm so tired I look like Betty Wop. So it's better to do it this way. And it's like he has his own studio. So it's like we don't have to book a studio. It's just easy.
A
Okay, what should the last question be?
B
You tell me.
A
If you were to restart your career, how would you do it?
B
The exact same way. But I would charge sales tax in the first six months and I would have made different hires. But I don't know, I don't like really living in that mindset. Like when people ask me, like about my regrets and life, like, I genuinely think every single thing happens for you. I've learned so much more from my shortcomings and my failures than I have my wins and success. So I would never want to change anything. Like, I wouldn't change how long I was married. I wouldn't change getting married. I wouldn't change anything. Like, you know, I think it's. There's a song I like right now and it's Life is worth the ride, the ride is worth the fall. So it's just like, you know, you gotta go through it. You gotta go through it to see it through, my boy. All day, every day. And, you know, if you don't go through shit, you're never gonna experience the feeling it feels when things are good. Like if life's just always good and everything always works out for you, you don't really have any gratitude and you don't feel grateful because you don't know what it's like to not have that. So I think people that live a very cushiony, privileged life, not to shame them, like, that's like, slay. Good for you. But I think they lack some depth and character building that a lot of us go through. When we go through shit, it just kind of allows you to appreciate what you have, be grateful and strive for more. So, yeah, I really don't regret anything in life. I think everything has led me to this moment and allowed me to be where I am.
A
Yeah. I mean, like, even you were saying, like, I would have made different hires. Like, who knows if.
B
Yeah. Would have been better. Yeah. And I'm so big on, like, God has got you, the universe has got you. Like, you have to go through. It's all, like, a part of what we've signed up for, you know, we decided to be on this earth. And even though it's hard, like, I just know anytime things don't go my way, there's a reason. I might not see it right that second, but it's this or better is another thing I like to say. And everything happens for me and not to me. If I ever got tattoos, I'd get a yellow rose for my dad because he always calls me as Texas yellow rose, which is really sweet. And then I would say, everything happens for me, not to me. And this or better, because there's always this or better. It's never worse. You're always gonna get better. Yeah.
A
Same. Lovely.
B
Thank you. I'm so hungry, I'm gonna eat someone's arm. And we have to go find this fucking camera. And we're gonna pray to St. Anthony. Actually, I want to teach them something before we go. I don't have it memorized. I'm not gonna lie. But I grew up Catholic. And there's a prayer to St. Anthony, and he helps you restore what's been lost. And it always happens. It always comes back. Like, if you ever lose anything. Like, I had Lauren. Remember, she lost her wallet and I sent it to her, and she did it. Okay. Why am I on Etsy? Hello? St. Anthony. Prayer for lost things. Okay. Oh, blessed St. Anthony, the grace of God has made you a powerful advocate in all our needs and the patron for the restoring of things lost or stolen. I turn to you today with childlike love and deep confidence. You have helped countless children of God to find the things they have lost, material things, and more importantly, the things of the spirit, faith, hope, and love. I come to you with confidence. Help me in my present need. I recommend what you know. I recommend what I lost to your care and hope that God will restore it to me if it is his holy will. Amen.
A
I was texting your house manager about.
B
We're talking. You don't text when it's time for God. Why is that funny?
A
I didn't know he was God. I thought it was just the same.
B
He. He's a part of God. Everyone has a piece of God in them.
A
Okay?
B
God is within us all. Period. All right. Hope you guys have a good Monday.
A
Love you guys. Happy New Year.
B
Hopefully. You know, I'm. Thank God I'm not famous enough to. I have, like, my photos sent to tmz.
A
Oh, my God.
B
Just read it. All right, bye, guys.
