A
I would never go on a show like that.
B
I get a call from LA number, answer the phone, think it's a prank call. They're like, hey, we got your application to come on the Bachelor. Like, no, you didn't get out. No, you didn't.
A
Season 13 of my podcast comes out in January. Madison Pruitt Trout is sitting down with me for 12 conversations about living with honesty, integrity and authenticity. You may know her from her season on the Bachelor, but she's also a mom, a best selling author, host of her own podcast, and so much more. Madison. Madison. Maddie. Hi. Hi. Welcome to my podcast.
B
It is so good to be here.
A
Thank you so much for having me. This season we are going to be talking about your book and we're going to be talking about how to live a life of honesty and integrity.
B
I just wanted to write honestly to myself, but also to any. Anybody that's. That feels stuck, that feels bound in their mind or in their emotions or in their relationships. And how do you embrace the truth of what God's word says and then apply it to your life?
A
Can you give any advice on where you could meet someone to date in your mid-30s?
B
Not reality TV.
A
I think about our reality show connection. Yours was a dating show. I went on a dance show. Because there is a sense where you're like, well, I actually am trying to win over an audience and please an audience. However, that's not my real audience. My audience is an audience of one. It's God. Anyone who's actively seeking him, to know him, to share the word and the gospel that says you have a target on your back and there are arrows pointed at you and that will be shot at you.
B
You know, the enemy is cunning, but he's not creative. He runs the same play again and again and again. You can have everything this world has to offer. And if you don't have Jesus, there is still something on the inside of you that is. That is dying, that is empty.
A
I love because you're my daughter's friend, but now you're becoming my friend.
B
I know. It's truly been the best.
A
See, I still a little bit get a visual of, like, God watching me having sex. Weirds me out. Okay.
B
The way I didn't think this podcast was gonna go.
A
The first episode comes out January 6th, so put it on your calendar for the new year. Life is like a roller coaster, but it's so much better when we go through it together.
