All right, guys, let's wrap up the week. All week, we've been pulling the featured scripture from the 31 day resilience reset. So it's a free resource I created for men who know that they were made for more but feel stuck where they are. You don't end up somewhere meaningful by chance. You get there on purpose. We all know that if you're ready to sharpen your life, start by going to undaunted life. 31 days. Today, I want us to focus on God as our refuge and fortress and how that would adjust the path we go down. So let's go ahead and get into the reading for day 20 of the 31 Day Resilience Reset, which is Psalm 91 and Proverbs 20. Let's start with Proverbs 20, verse 24, and I'll read from the CSB. Even a courageous person's steps are determined by the Lord. So how can anyone understand his own way? So I know that a lot of guys in this audience are highly conscientious people. Okay? You get crap done. It's done well. No one has to remind you to speak up. No one has to encourage you to get going or to come to the defense of someone else. Many of you guys do have that. And you also have courage. And man, courage is a good thing. It's something that actually is lacking quite a bit in modernity. There are a lot of reasons for that that we don't have time to get into today. But the point I'm making goes back to Proverbs 20:24. Even a courageous person's steps are determined by the Lord. So even if you're a man with a plan, it's the Lord who is sovereign and ultimately in control. And if he's in control, then your path will surely shift away from the path that you would have created for yourself. And his path will take you closer to him, where he can be your refuge and fortress. So let's close this week out with the reading of the entirety of Psalm 91. He who dwells in the shelter of the most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, my refuge in my fortress, my God in whom I trust, for he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence he will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, 10,000 at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked, because you have made the Lord your dwelling place. The Most High, who is my refuge. No one shall be allowed to befall you. No plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder, the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him. I will protect him because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and honor him with long life. I will satisfy him and show him my salvation. Guys, let God determine your steps. Make his presence your dwelling place. Thank you for your attention this week. Stay sharp.
