All right. Day two of the Daily Blade. In Galatians, chapter two, we're just going to look at two verses. Verses four and five, it says. And yet, because of false brothers secretly brought in, who slipped in to spy out our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus so that they might bring us into slavery to them, we did not yield in submission even for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might be preserved. For you see, what Paul is going to do is he is going to stand firm on the gospel. Not the opinion of man, not the opinion of society, not these false teachers that have weaseled their way into the church. As we studied two weeks ago in Galatians 1, Paul makes it very clear that he was not pursuing the applause of man, but he was pursuing the applause of God. Because if you pursue the applause of man, you cannot be a servant of God. You see, Paul stands on the truth of the gospel, the unique claims of Christ that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through him. That the way that a person is saved is we are saved by grace, through faith. We are not saved by our works, that includes any work, but we are saved by Christ alone, through faith alone. Period. End dot. So make sure that you are at a church that preaches the gospel, the life, death and resurrection and return of Christ for your redemption. If you're listening to Pastors Online and if there is not a regular preaching of the gospel, then you are listening to the wrong preachers. You see, the Bible says in Matthew that Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom of heaven. A lot of times we can believe in a truncated gospel when we only look at the gospel of salvation, the life, death and resurrection of Jesus for our sins. That is true, and that is a gospel. But we're not just saved just to be saved, that we are saved into the kingdom of God. And the moment that you were rescued, you become a part of the rescue team. The gospel of the kingdom of heaven is that saved people are sent people by the king. So should preachers like me preach politics? We should preach the gospel of the kingdom. And oftentimes, especially today, politics gets out of their lane. When politicians get out of their lane, when they get out of you know, securing borders and defending our freedoms and schools, just teaching math and arithmetic and building roads. And they do things like try to redefine life or redefine marriage or redefine sexuality. It's not that we are getting political, but the Gospel of the Kingdom demands that we preach and teach not just salvation, but how saved people lived, that we are to be salt and light in this world to slow down the decay of this decaying world. So yes, we preach what the Bible says about life and what the Bible says about marriage and how it's defined. And I don't care what court tries to redefine marriage. That court is not a supreme court. God himself is supreme. And yes, we do whatever we have to do to protect our children, especially with like the transing of our kids and taking away parental rights everywhere. There is clear biblical teaching in the Bible. We teach what the Bible says. However, with that in mind, what I would encourage you though is do not make your pet issue the point that we must point to the cross and the resurrection of Jesus, for Jesus is the only answer. Don't preach something simply because it's popular, but be faithful to the gospel. We're going to find out either today or tomorrow that the Bible is going to compel us to be good citizens, good teammates, good employees, until doing so means that you can't be a good Christian. Then like Paul says, do not yield even for a moment, but stake your life on the truth of the Gospel, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Amen.

Episode: #295 – "Stand Firm On The Gospel"
Date: February 17, 2026
This episode centers on standing firm in the gospel of Christ, as exemplified by Paul in Galatians 2:4–5. Pastor Joby Martin unpacks how Christians are called not only to defend the truth of the gospel amid false teachings but also to live out and proclaim the comprehensive message of the "Gospel of the Kingdom." He addresses the temptations to adhere to societal or political pressures, urging believers to remain rooted in biblical truth even when facing cultural opposition.
In this brief but impactful devotional, Joby Martin calls listeners to root their lives in the unchanging truth of the gospel, resist cultural and ideological drift, and embrace their identity as both redeemed and sent people in God’s kingdom. The episode balances encouragement with challenge, staying true to its aim of equipping Christians to stand firm on the Word of God in everyday life.
