הפירוש הפשוט במ"ש ברביעי דפ' בלק "מראש צורים אראנו ומגבעות אשורנו" הוא האבות ואמהות, אבל מזה שכל אחד נק' "בן אברהם יצחק ויעקב", וכל אחת נק' "בת שרה רבקה רחל ולאה", מוכח שבכאו"א נמצאים ה"אבות ואמהות"! ואדרבא - זהו העצם והפנימיות שלהם, וחכם, שלא מסתכל על חיצוניות הדברים, רואה זאת. והרי יהודי הוא למעלה מזמן ומקום, שלכן תובעים ממנו לא להתפעל מזמן ומקום - "עם לבדד ישכון ובגוים לא יתחשב" - עד שהגוים מברכים אותו, כמ"ש בפ' בלק. וההוראה: יש לדעת שגם יהודי בזמננו, ה'תשל"ב, קשור, עד שזהו החוזק שלו, עם ה"אבות ואמהות"! ומזה, שיהודי הוא בעצם למעלה מן הטבע, מובן גם שזוהי שטות שאין כמוה שבשר-ודם יחליט שכחות אלו שלמע' מן הטבע ילכו לגוי!

Synopsis

According to its simple meaning, the verse (in revi’i of parashas Balak), “From the mountain peaks I see him, and from the hills I behold him,” refers to the Avos and Imahos. But the Avos and Imahos exist within every Jew, each of whom is called a son of Avraham, Yitzchok, and Yaakov or a daughter of Sarah, Rivkah, Rochel, and Leah (as is evident to any wise person who looks beyond the surface of things). And since a Jew is above time and place, therefore he is expected to not be affected by time and place, and to be “a people that dwells alone and is not reckoned among the nations,” to the extent that even the nations of the world bless him, as it says in parashas Balak. The lesson is as follows: One must know that even a Jew in our times, in the year 5732, is connected to the Avos and Imahos to the point that they are his strength and power. And since a Jew is inherently above nature, it is also obvious that it is utter foolishness for human beings to try and decide that these powers, which are above nature, should be granted to a gentile.
