Hey everybody, this is Hunter Williams. I hope you're doing amazing. Wherever you might be in the world. Today is going to be the master class for Melanitan one and Melanitan two. I thought it would be good to combine these two together because you can't really talk about one without the other. And in the spirit of summertime, I wanted to make sure I got this one out while you hopefully have a few weeks left to tan. Depending on where you may live. If you're still here in North Carolina, you got a good probably three or four weeks from the time that I release this where you will have some time to tan. But get depending on where you are in the world, you probably got a little bit of time left for summer. And so I wanted to get these out. But I am a huge fan of the melanin peptides, probably more Melanitan one. We'll talk a lot about that today. However, I do admit that there's a use case for Melanitan 2 and what I want to do with both of these in the masterclass today is walk through kind of how I think about structuring both of them into a protocol for tanning. What's really cool about peptides is we have peptides for fat loss and cognition and sleep and all those things. But with melanin one and melanin two, the primary reason we're going to use them is tanning. I'm not going to make any bones about that. There are some other benefits that you can potentially derive from them. There's also side effects too. I think when it comes with these, people probably have more hesitation around them because of the skin cancer question. And we'll talk about the day that today as well. But again, I love the melan family of peptides. Anything that is based on the alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone. I'm a big fan of whether that's KPV PT141 or Melan Tan 1 or 2. And that's what we're going to cover today. Before I jump into the slides, as always, thank you for being here. It's so amazing to see the overwhelming amount of support and feedback I get, especially with censorship. That is something that we are just always up against in the peptide space. That being said, make sure you are on the email list if you want to stay in touch with me in case I do get taken down off of any platforms. Also too, if you want to work directly with me, the best place to do that is my coaching group, the Axion Collective, that's always in the link, the main link that will be in the video or wherever you're watching this. And then also to check out my AI chat tool that's really seeming to do a lot of good for people because they can kind of query my content, get their questions answered a lot faster rather than pouring through hours of video, which you may also want to do as well. And you can do that on the link down below. It'll have all my videos and including the old ones that have been deleted off of YouTube previously. Without further ado, I'm gonna share my screen today. We're gonna cover Lantan 1 and 2 and make sure that you get that good tan before time runs out this summer. All right, let's get into it. We're going to cover Milan 101 and Melan 102 in the Master class today. Basically, I want you to think of Milania 10:1 not as a self tanner, bronzer, or dye, which is what most tanners are. If you've ever been someone that's been even affiliated with the bodybuilding world, you know that there's the, the spray tans and things like that. And I know a lot of women, men too, get tanning done, whether it's the tanning bed or spray tans or whatever. But when we look at Milan 10 1, Melan 2, they're similar, but they're also very different. And when we talk about practical applications, I want you to kind of understand how I think about what they would be different. We have Melan one. It's obviously FDA approved, which is pretty cool. It's not for tanning, meaning that you don't get it fd you don't get it prescribed for tanning. That would obviously be very much off label. And then melan 2 is not approved anywhere. It's just a gray market research chemical with three small studies from the 90s, obviously many more, hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people that have used them in the research world. But we'll kind of go through those. So when we look at Melan 1, it was actually synthesized in 1980 at the University of Arizona. Uh, it's chemically very similar to alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone. There are two amino acid swaps that made it resistant to enzymatic breakdown and locked it into the receptor's preferred shape. And the result was that it was roughly 26 times more potent than natural alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone with biological activity that lasts days instead of minutes. Hence, we get this tanning effect. You also may see it called MT1, alpha melanotide senesi, or NDP, DASH, MSH. They're all the same molecule. Most people call it melanin 1 or MT1, especially in the research world. But it's very similar, much more similar to melanocyte sim or alpha melanocyte simulating hormone. Again, we have those two amino acid swaps that make it more usable and more potent for tanning. When we look at Melania Tan 2, it's from the same program actually, at the University of Arizona. The original study was published in the Journal of medicinal chemistry in 1995. And. And the two key differences, melan 1:1, it has a truncated sequence, so it only uses the 7 residue core that activates the receptor, not the full 13amino acid chain that melan1 does. And it's also cyclic. So the chain is stitched into a ring, making it extremely stable and potent, and thus why it is much more powerful from a tanning aspect than Melan Tan 2. Essentially, Melanitan 1 is a long, straight chain, and Melan Tan 2 is a small, tight ring. Again, they came out of the same research program, but they're two generally different molecules, although they have the same parent molecule. You'll see. This One is my Tan 2. Mt 2, Mt Dash 2 or Mt Dash II, the Roman numerals. And then obviously, Melanitan 1 is Mt 1. Now, now that we know that, let's look at the Milano Cortin system. And I'm gonna do my best to pronounce a Milano Corton, because sometimes if you get to talking fast, which I, as you know, probably have a tendency to do sometimes. Let's look at this system in general and then talk about how the peptides fit into that. Because we have these different receptors. And. And the difference between the peptides is actually gonna be how the receptors are activated is what's gonna make them so different. There's basically five receptors in this melanocortin system that we know of, and kind of think of them as different light switches in different rooms that are all gonna have different effect. Let's talk about MC1R first. These are the melanocytes, and this is the pigmentation switch. Basically, if we flip the switch, your skin makes more melanin, hence you get darker and more tan, which is what everyone wants, right? Then we have MC2R. And this actually works on the adrenal glands, and it responds to something called ACTH. And neither compound actually meaningfully touches the MC2R. And so, for all intents and purposes, of this, we're not really doing anything with the MC2R receptor. Then we have MC3R and MC4R. And here we actually have brain activation. We also have sexual arousal. We have appetite suppression, and then we have energy balance. And then when we talk about the MC4R, there's another peptide I've talked about briefly before called cetmelanotide, and it's actually strictly an appetite suppressant peptide that people use for weight loss. Although I would not recommend you use it because depending on your genetic predisposition, it was actually developed for people that have a deficiency on this receptor. But if you don't have a deficiency, it can make you extremely nauseous and sick. And so I've tried it in the past just to experiment on myself, and it was not pleasant. I will say that can be great for some people, but I would say for most people it's not gonna be a pleasant form of appetite suppression. But anyway, on the three and four receptors of the lanoquorton system, again, we have brain sexual arousal, appetite suppression, energy balance, and then the, the MC5R, we have Exocrine glands which are involved in oil and sweat secretion. Not really gonna see as much of these peptides touch that one as well. But basically, when we look at those peptides, MT1 is really just selective to that MC1R receptor, which is. Whereas MT2 walks down the hallway flipping most of these other switches, primarily MC1 and then MC3 and 4, although it's probably touching the other ones a little bit as well. When we look at melanin 101, we have this thing called eumelanin, and this is the one we want. So when we look at eumelanin, this absorbs UV broadly and scavenges reactive oxygen species. It's genuinely protective. And the MC1R signaling biases melanocytes toward this pigment. Hence, when we use melanin 1 and melanin 2 to an extent, we're getting this activation of the melanin or the, the MC1R receptors, which then absorb eumelanin or have this effect on eumelanin that is giving us the, the tanning basis that we want through this pigment. And then, then we have pheomelanin, which is the red and yellow. This contains sulfur. It shields UV poorly, and under uva, it can actually generate more reactive oxygen species. Then it neutralizes. And this is the pigment of fair skin and red hair. So for people that have fair skin and red hair, they have a bias towards this pigment where with people with like more olive skin or darker black skin have more of a bias towards the U melanin. There was a study in 1995 that showed that MT1 increased the U melanin to pheomelanin ratio in human melanocytes, hence the tanning effect. Then there was another study in 2000 that confirmed the human response was specifically a U melanin shift. And again the cosmetic mechanism and the photo protective mechanism are actually the same mechanism. Basically what we are doing is skewing this balance of melanin to eumelanin rather than to pheomelanin, which is obviously more protective and also causes more of a tan, whereas the pheomelanin is more can be more inflammatory. And then when we look inside the melanocyte, what is happening here? So basically we have the peptide that's injected and this would be for both melan 1 and melan 2. But basically it binds to the MC1R receptor which is the initial step in the signaling pathway. And then what happens is we have a rise in cyclic amp, which is the second messenger that is getting sent. And then we have an increase in PKA and C reb, which is a signal transduction in the cascade. And then we also see this MITF and tyrocinase, which is basically a gene expression for melanin synthesis. More tyrosinase means more melanin, which means more visible tanning. There was a 2014 study that reviewed the full receptor biology and then published an updated review covering the effects beyond pigment that we'll talk about a little bit later. Basically that is the cycle that is going on here. So not super complex when we look at it. It's going in there, if you want to think about that very simply, without the scientific jargon. Basically you inject melanitan 1 or melanitan 2, but specifically binding to this MC1R receptor has this effect of increasing the synthesis of melanin in the melanocytes at the gene expression level, which allows us to be more tan and actually transform our pigmentation. Also too, beyond the increase in pigmentation or skin darkening that we get, we see DNA repair, DNA repair go up when we activate this MC1R receptor. Basically the activation of that receptor enhances repair of UV induced DNA damage, which I think when we look at skin cancer is actually probably was what driving a lot of skin cancer. That's just a hunch of mine. But There was a 2012 study that showed that alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone reduced melanocyte death via p53 mediated pathways. And then a 2006 study confirmed measurably reduced cyclobutane pyrip meeting dimers in living humans. Essentially what we're saying is that the, the DNA repair from UV induced damage is going up when we're activating these receptors. Also we see oxidative stress go down. MC1R signaling reduces UV induced reactive oxygen species independently of pigment. And so although pigmentation can help protection from these UV rays, actually when we activate that receptor independently of that pigment, we're bringing down reactive oxygen species and oxidative stress on the body. And then a 2024 study extended this to melanoma associated MC1R variants which is pretty cool. And we also see inflammation go down. So alpha melanite simulating or analogs inhibit NF kappa B. They suppress TNF alpha interleukin 1 interleukin 6 and induce anti inflammatory interleukin 10. And 2008 study showed this as well. Hence why people love KPV so much. KPV is actually one of these melan tan peptides. Doesn't have an effect on pigmentation really whatsoever. But we do get the, the anti inflammatory benefits from kpv. But we're also getting a little bit of that too from melan one and potentially melan two. And it's also helping more specifically as it relates to our skin, which is pretty interesting as well. Now what does Melanitan 2 do that Melan 1 does not? Because henceforth we've been talking about both of them together through activating this MC1R receptor. Let's look at what happens with melan tan 2 and actually activating the MC3R and the MC4R receptor 1 we have erection. So for men through central arousal pathways actually not blood vessels which we, we also see this on PT 141 as well. But through arousal pathways we're getting spontaneous erections that sometimes can last one to five hours. And a 1996 study showed this in the, in the very first human study with melan too. It is a very real thing. Melan2 Again, sometimes it can lead to things like priapasm. So you have to be careful with that. It's not something to be trifled with by any means. But you do see that as a side effect. Some people like it, some people don't like it, some people can go about getting erections via other means. But it is a very real effect also too outside of this erection mechanism, we get an increased libido Sexual desire increased after 68% of melanin 2 doses versus 19% of placebo doses. There is a very real increased libido thing going on there too. We also see appetite suppression, which is an MC4R pharmacological effect. Again, not placebo. Again, when we look at se, we're getting some out of septman and also melanitan 2, not so much with melan 1. You might get a slight bit of nausea with melan 1, much more appetite suppression out of melan 2. Now the question is, is it enough to be on par with the glp? In my opinion, no. It's very real. So it's. It's substantial, but it's not enough to basically do what a GLP does. I will also say too, when you get this appetite suppression via the MC4 pathway, it is not really a pleasant one. And I know not all appetite suppression is pleasant. I will say, for instance, like the Terz appetite, appetite suppression is probably better than the semaglutide suppression. However, the Melanitan 2 suppression to me has never been as fun or is less enjoyable, for sure, because it's more of appetite suppression through nausea than it is you just not wanting to eat. I will leave it at that. You kind of got to experience it for yourself. But that's. That's my opinion. And then we look at the side effects. Both melanin 2 and melanin 1 do this. But with melanin 2, because of the extra receptor activation, we get more nausea, more flushing, and potentially more increased heart rate. Where's my Lantan one? You don't really see that. And again, it's just one of those things that you get these extra side effects. Some people say it's good, some people say it's bad, but at the end of the day it is more. And I think with the nausea and flushing, that's usually worse with Melan Tan too. Whereas you do get it with Lantan1. But it's very fast, very transient, and usually not something that is really prohibitive to you being able to use it. Let's look at the regulatory split. My 10 one obviously became a drug. It became licensed by the University of Arizona, developed by Clin Clinuval Pharmaceuticals as a bio reabsorbable 16 milligram implant. Don't recommend getting an implant, but it's more or less like a pellet that it's FDA approved for. And it was a p. They had pivotal phase 3 trials in erythropoetic protoporphyria, which is abbreviated EPP and that was published in a study in 2015 and became approved in December of 2014 via the EMA and then FDA approved in October 2019. But this EPP condition is the only approved indication worldwide for melanin 1. Obviously my intent 2 did not become FDA approved. They did take it into early clinical testing for erectile dysfunction but we ended up getting PT141 because that has less side effects than Melanitan 2. And then eventually obviously that became FDA approved. But a melan 102 was never licensed anywhere again at gray market vials are what most people would use it as but don't expect it to get to get it from a doctor. Let's talk about why these compound the family of compounds is unique. Lantan 1 has two regulatory regulatory approvals, multiple randomized phase three trials and a pivotal vid vitiligo combination trial and long term national registries covered hundred of patients over more than a decade. And it has more human evidence than a lot of more popular peptides out there and it seems to be very safe melan2 we just don't have the studies. Let's get into who the peptides are actually for. I want to talk about Lantan 1111 I think it's obviously it's kind of one of those peptides like hey, if you want to get tanner kind of applies to everyone but I think for these specific use cases 1. The outdoor person so if you're someone that's a hiker, an athlete, someone that works outside via construction and wants durable protective pigment without constant sunscreen reapplication. This is where I would say I love, love, love my 10 one because I am someone that likes to go outside. I am an outdoor enthusiast. I I do my best to at least get two to three hours of sunlight per day, whether that's in the summertime, which is a little bit easier or or in the wintertime and especially in the summer where I live in North Carolina, if you are outside more than two hours per day, you really are going to need sunscreen depending on your pigmentation. And what I love about Melan one is for the years that I've been using it, I don't have to ever use sunscreen anymore. And I was always a person. I never liked sunscreen to begin with just because the fact of having to apply something, it's annoying, it's an inconvenience and also too when you sweat. And I know there's waterproof sunscreens or sweatproof sunscreens or Whatever, it just always kind of is nasty when you sweat and you, you get greasy and everything from it. And also too, I think when we look at sunscreen, let's be honest, the better sunscreens have a lot of toxins in them that I want to avoid. And maybe it's placebo or all in my head, but sometimes I'm like, man, I can kind of feel those toxins depending on the sunscreen. Some of them. Obviously if you get a, a better version that doesn't have the toxins in it, you won't notice as much of that but. And you may not notice it at all. But I was just always a person. And again, maybe that's all in my head, but I've just never liked sunscreens because of the toxins. And I, I felt like they didn. And also too, if you are at the beach or at the pool or something and you have to put sunscreen on, you gotta wait for it to dry before you go back into the water. Point being is that melan tan one takes all that takes all that out of the equation and you can just inject it a couple times per week and you never have to worry about sunscreen. And sure, you might get a little bit red, you might get a little bit of sunburn, but as long as you build up a good base before you're really exposed to sunlight. In my experience, and again, if you're very fair skin, you may still have to use sunscreen. But in my experience with my skin complexion, I don't have to worry about putting sunscreen, which is really cool. And then the second use case would be someone with fair skin that has a real sun cancer or skin cancer concern from overexposure to the sun. There's a 2006 study that showed that more pigment plus less UV induced damage ends up being a good thing. And it's a strong case for those with a hi history or family history of precancerous lesions. And I think this is where Melan 1 probably shines. I am not going to sit here and tell you that it is preventative for skin cancer. We can't say that and I wouldn't say that anyway if we could. However, I think it can be one of those things that if we look at what we know probably makes skin cancer worse, which is getting burnt, if we prevent the burning, it would probably bode well for us from a skin cancer perspective to have Melan Tan1 to prevent the burning. And I'll leave it at that without saying too much because I'd like for this video to stay up. But then we have photo dermatosis potions. Patients with epp, obviously this is what it's FDA approved for. And so if you do have that, you could use it. And then for people with vitiligo and phototherapy, there is data to show that it could be very beneficial for that as well. Okay, who should use melan 2? 1? You can have a very pale person. And so sometimes Melan one, because it's not so strong, it's actually not going to change your pigmentation. And so if you are someone that is pretty pale and you're working to alter your pigmentation over time, Melan 2 is going to be more potent. Now, that comes with more side effects. Be aware of that. But for someone like me, I don't need to use Manan 2 because I can get as dark as I possibly ever could desire. Strictly just using melan1 in the summertime. And beyond that, I don't really feel the need to get that much darker. I think everyone kind of has their own personal desire of, like, where they want to get. And for me, Milan 1 has always made me absolutely, in some cases, more tan than I ever desire to be. But for someone that's very pale, that can't get there, Lantan 2 in conjunction with Lantan 1 can do it probably faster and then also be more aggressive. And then I will say, and this is where I would say, like the primary use case for Milan 2 would be, would be a short timeline cosmetic need, whether it's a wedding, a photo shoot, a bodybuilding show, or. Or if you're going on winter vacation, let's say, you know, you're. You live in New York or Massachusetts and you're going down to the Bahamas or Mexico in January or February, which I highly recommend to do because the weather's a lot better than it is in New York or Massachusetts. But if you're going there for a vacation and you're not really going to be able to build up a base tan before you go down there, but with something like Milan Tan 2, you could start, you know, like a week or two out before that vacation, do a loading phase, Milan Tan 2, which we'll talk about in the dosing section, and then potentially protect yourself from the sun there, what I would probably do is use melan2 as a loading phase, and then you get down there and then rely on melan1. But for tanning, generally, mt1 is gonna be the better default for sexual function, obviously. PT141 would be better for erections anyway. But I will say for Melan 2, the best use case in my opinion is that short timeline cosmetic need to use it in a very short cycle to kind of get yourself accelerated into the time that you would need to be the most tan. And then you would go Back to Melan Tan 1 if you need it or just do it. Because if you're doing a photo shoot or something, you would do it like two weeks or a week out, change your pigmentation, do the photo shoot and then kind of go back to normal. But it would not be something that I would do like that all the time. Who should skip both? I think for anyone with the melanoma history, again, not telling you what to do, but it just is one of those things. When we talk about stimulating melanocytes, we don't want to stimulate them. If there is potentially cancer there. It's kind, kind of like being smart with growth hormone or growth hormone peptides. If you have had a history of tumors, very similar. When we talk about melanocytes and melanomas, we don't want to stimulate something that potentially would contain cancer. I don't say that to scare anyone. I think if you don't have a melanoma or you don't have one where you're. You're 100, where you. Where you're 100% sure that it's not active, I think it's probably okay. But again, you've got to make that decision with your doctor. If you did use one, I would use melanin two and not melan one or I use melanin one and not melan tan two. Sorry, I misspoke there, but it's not something that I would do. If you are any sort of shape, form or fashion worried about that also too, if you have a substantial amount of atypical moles, a high nevis burden is always a melanoma risk factor. So adding melanocyte simulate is usually a bad trade. And again, if you were going to do one, if you do have a lot of moles, please use melan1. If you do have cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension or arrhythmia, I would probably stay away from Lantan too because it can affect blood pressure, heart rate, things like that. And then we look at pregnancy. I just don't think there's a real need to use this during pregnancy and we don't have any studies, so obviously stay away. And then also too, I think it's just good practice. Anyone that's using these peptides. Just do a twice yearly skin check, make sure you don't have any moles or anything that are coming coming out of this. And that would be potentially something that you would want to worry about. Again, just active a recent skin cancer. If you have heavy, heavy freckling or sun damage, probably stay away. And then if you are someone that has MC1 or loss of function variants, this would be red hair, very fair skin, heavy freckling, sometimes even Melanitan 1. Definitely Melanitan 2 can make those freckles worse. And I have seen that a lot of times people basically will run melan1 if they're, they're redheaded or very pale and it makes their freckles a lot worse. And so while they're potentially getting the protection from the sun, they're also potentially making their freckles and maybe moles worse. And so I would just use it with caution and be very aware that that could be something. I don't think you need to run melanin one and melanin two together at the same time. And also too, I'd be very careful about using PT141 and or Melanin 1 and Melanin 2 at the same time together because you could potentially get very bad nausea, flushing or cardiovascular changes in heart rate. And so just be aware of that. Also too for photosensitizing medications, certain antibiotics and diuretics and retinoids increase UV sensitivity. So be conservative with some exposure while on them. As someone that has done this not in concurrence with the my anti peptides, but I've been on antibiotics before that increased UV sensitivity. And actually I was on doxycycline when I was a teenager for my acne and I had a very bad episode where I got severely dehydrated and had whole body cramps or while I was on that medication because it increased my UV sensitivity. I was practicing football like three or four hours a day in the 100 degree heat in the summertime during football camp and I basically had an episode where I had to sit out for like three days because I got these full body cramps, severe dehydration and ended up being pretty dangerous. I was fine. But it's one of those things if you are on things that are already making you more photosensitive, just be aware. And you probably want to stay out of the sun and avoid using Melan 1 or Melanitan 2 while you are on those certain compounds for sure. I think another case for this would be if someone is on a diuretic for a bodybuilding competition, be very aware that if you're combining that with Lantan 2 and you're at the sun at the same time, just be aware, I don't know what can happen and you may be fine, but just be aware that that could be a combo that you want to avoid. When we talk about dosing, obviously when we talk about FDA approved dosing, they have the 16 milligram implant. That's not what we're going to do. And so everything else we'll talk about is off label or unregulated or really doesn't have any clinical studies around in the implant. Implant peaks at around 36 hours and then it's usually undetectable by day 10. But the pigmentation lasts six to eight weeks after the drug is gone, which in my experience is also kind of too how Melan 1 works. Now let's talk about the actual dosing that's practical for most people. We have tier one, which is going to be the base photo protection. And what I would do here is just use again, this is a very low starting dose. If you've never been exposed to these peptides, this is how I would work my way into it. We have melanitan one at zero, 25 milligrams or 250 micrograms subcutaneously. And all you would need to do is do this twice per week. This would be great if you're fair skinned to have a starting point to see how you respond to it. And the goal is durable, mild to moderate pigment shift, not maximum color. And again, if you already have more of an olive complexion, you might notice that this is all you need or you might need more. Again, it just depends on the person you typically, the more fair skinned someone is, the more that they're going to need in order to shift pigmentation. But I would start at that low dose, make sure you're responding well and then kind of work your way up from there. And then we have tier two, which is going to be much more on the cosmetic pigmentation. And so this is where we're really going to start to see more of the changes in pigmentation. We have melan one at.05 to 1 milligram, so 500 microgram to 1 milligram and you could do that two to three times weekly for four to six weeks. And you could also too, if you wanted to build up with Melanitan one, if you wanted to move over to be more aggressive, you could start with Melanitan 2 at 0.25 milligrams per day and do a loading phase for one to two weeks and then move after that loading phase once you've established a nice base, TAN to 0.25 or 0.5mg once or twice weekly for maintenance during the summertime. And again, if I were going to use my Lantan 2, that would be kind of the full extent that I would do. I wouldn't go much heavier than that. There's lots of ways you can do it. I'll talk about going melanin one first, Lantan two first, and how I would do both of those. And then tier three would just be the medical indications with the implant. We're not going to go there. I think beyond those two tiers that I talked about, that's really going to apply to everyone that's using these compounds outside of the medically indicated reasons, obviously, which would be a very different dosing. But for most people, that's going to be enough. Rarely do I ever see someone need to go over 1 milligram of melanin 1. That kind of is like the threshold dose, beyond which I don't know that it makes more sense. I don't see any more benefit coming from more than 1 milligram. So 2 milligrams versus 1 milligram, I don't think that extra milligram is going to do anything at all. We look at dosing by purpose. So for photo protection, and if you are the Fitzpatrick 1 to 2 type, which is going to be more of the fair skin person, I would start at 0.25mg of MT1 twice weekly for two weeks. Then I would escalate to. 0.5mg, two to three times weekly, four to six weeks. And then you could use a maintenance dose of 0.25 to 0.5mg once or twice weekly. And if you were going to do this with just Melanitan one, you could do this starting six to eight weeks before the summertime. So maybe in April or May you would be starting this, and then that would lead you into the summertime where you're doing really well. If you are doing more cosmetic tanning, and this is going to be for someone that's Fitzpatrick 3 to 4, which I. I believe is more of like the darker olive skin people, you would start with. 0.5mg of MT1 twice weekly, and you could escalate to 1mg two to three times weekly for four to six weeks and then maintain 0.5 to 1mg once or twice weekly. A lot of times that's all you need. Now if we want the fast cosmetic response, and this is where we'd be if we want to use Melan 2, we could start at 100 micrograms to 250 micrograms in the evening daily for one to two weeks. So that could kind of be that loading phase. And then once we get the color that we want, we can drop to 250 micrograms once or twice weekly or transition to Malin Tan 1 for maintenance, which I would personally do. But again, you can, you can do yours. I do not like loading aggressively one, because you can shift the pigmentation too fast and you kind of look like an Oompa Loompa. And also two, you can get those side effects. And that's why I really like starting low with melanin 2 so we don't get those crazy side effects. Because if you jump right in to doing 1mg of Lantan 2 well it might not go well for you. You might shift your color too fast. You might get terrible nausea and appetite suppression and be hover over the toilet dry heaving. Or you might get spontaneous erections, which for some people could be good. But then also too, if it ends up being a priapasm, it's not the most fun thing to have to deal with because sometimes you have to get go to the hospital and well, you can kind of imagine what happens from there. Then the, the last one would be vitiligo and the narrow band uvb. This would be the off label subcutaneous adaptation. You could do melanitan one at 0.5 milligrams three times weekly and then start around one month after photo therapy begins with continued exposure for four months. And again that's gonna be much more of like the medical protocol if that is something that you're working with. But I will say if you're looking for appetite suppression and sexual function, please don't use these. Like if there's one message you get away from from today, take the dosing. But then also know don't use these to get those things. Like you can use the GLP for appetite suppression even if you have to use like a caggery or you know, even something like a tesofensine for appetite suppression. Do not use these for appetite suppression. They're not fun. I have been down that road of taking Septimolantan. It's not fun. And Also too for PT141, that's going to be great for, you know, erections and sexual function. Don't rely on this because there's other better things out there. And I think the, the dose that you have to go to to get those effects will just end up in worse side effects. So about free frequency and timing. Evening dosing is standard for me, Lantan 2 and worth doing. I mean, it's kind of up to you. I think the peep the reason people like evening dosing is with me, Lantan 2 is because of the nausea. So you kind of sleep through that and you don't have to worry about having the nausea throughout the day when you're trying to get stuff done. Melanin one is fine and take in the morning. And that's usually when I do it, but I don't really get nausea. And if you do, it's like maybe for five or ten minutes and then it goes away. And so a lot of times sleeping through that nausea can be easier because you just don't really have to deal with it. From what it seems like, food does not change the absorption of this based on how they work. And so probably better to be fasted with most peptides, but this is not one of those ones like a GH peptide that you really need to make sure it's very, very, very present. Like the body needs to be in a fasted state in order to maximize it. And again, two doses a week on the same day, two days beats an erratic schedule. And then the same weekly total. And so whatever you're doing, just make you sure you are consistent as with all of your other peptides. Let's talk about some timelines and expectations. And so when we have days one to three, especially with melan one may have some of the side effects, but you're probably not going to see any color change. And then days four to nine tolerance builds, probably still not going to see a ton of color change. And then days 10 to 14, you're probably going to start to see the first visible pigmentation changes. And then weeks 36 is really where you start to build up and see color deepening and everything like that. So it also kind of depends on your pigmentation. And so for me, even with Melan 1, usually within like three to five days, especially if I'm on vacation or outside a lot of I'm definitely starting to see a change there, but it's not immediate. Like it's not the first day. Where's Melan Tan 2? You will see that also too. I want Something to be very clear and I'll probably talk about this throughout the remainder of the presentation. Whether it's melanin one or melan two, they are synergist with sunlight, not replacements for it. There was a 2004 study that showed the MT1 combined with solar UV exposure produced additive pigmentation beyond either alone. Meaning that if you combine the melanitan with sunlight, you will get a better pigmentation. It will work better than either just trying to take the peptide or just trying to get the sunlight. Again, you still need sun exposure. And I think that's very important for people to understand is these are not a spray tan, meaning you don't just spray it on. I think this is going to work. It needs the activation from the sunlight. It is very, very important to get the activation from Sunlight. Obviously with Lantan2 you probably need less activation than you would need with Lantan1, but. But with both of them you still are going to need activation. And also too, I think for the, the best cosmetic result, you need that in order for it to look the best too. How to know it's working? Obviously the easiest way is to know that you get visible color exchanged and then versus an unexposed area. And so what's cool about melan tan is like if you get exposure to sun without melan tan, you'll have tan lines. But the cool thing is with melanin, obviously if you are wearing a shirt, you're probably still going to have a little bit of a farmer's tan, but the appearance is much more even. And so even if you're getting sunlight activation, like if I had a shirt on and I'm wearing this outside, I'm still going to get pigmentation change underneath the shirt more than I would without the melanitan. Obviously to check freckle and mold darkening. It's annoying, but is a reliable signal that it's actually working right away. And then make sure that you have a reduced tendency to burn during the same sun exposure that used to burn you. Again, for me, when I first started these years ago, I was like, whoa, this is crazy. Like I can go out in the sun all day and I don't get burnt. Now there's obviously a threshold. So if you are in Mexico in the summertime, like near the equator, and you're outside for 10 hours a day, you're probably still going to get burnt a little bit. And obviously your, your pigmentation will help determine whether or not that happens too. With objective tracking, I think the best way is with the photograph so you can take shots with your phone or whatever, just take a photo with it and then if there's nothing to change in six weeks, it could just be you don't have a good peptide, it could just be that you're a non responder to it, which there are people, I think when we look at the melanocortin system, they're non responders to certain peptides. And my experience with Lantan 1, Lantan 2, that's very few and far between, but I definitely think it's still a real thing. Now let's talk about cycling. I think this is where cycling can be not confusing, but it's just kind of like what do I do and what do I not do? When we look at pigment plateaus, the peak response is usually four to six weeks into the peptide and then we can continue at build fade. Basically if we continue at build phase past that point, there's not really gonna be anything that gets you past there. So I kind of know how dark I can get with lots of sunlight in Melan 1, but there's gonna be a threshold like I'm not going to turn myself darker beyond that point. And then when we look at cumulative, cumulative exposure I think is the main safety rail safety variable. Long term registries cover regulated alpha melanotide in EP patients. And what they don't cover is someone that has used the injectable versions for 15 years now. I think we're safe, but it's just one of those things we don't know what we don't know until we look at melanomas and things of that nature. We just want to be careful and I think that's why it's smart to cycle. And also too, I think there's also this concept of kind of like natural sun exposure throughout the year. And our skin is supposed to be lighter in February and darker in August. Obviously we can augment that with things like melanitan, but honestly like in December, I don't really use melanin in December1 because my sunlight exposure, even if I'm outside for two or three hours a day, doesn't warrant the protection that I need from the sun because I'm further away based on my location of where I live. And I also think too it's one of those things like I'm going to be more tan in the summer to have more protection from the sun in the wintertime. I'm not going to need as much of a tan. So I'm not going to be worried about it. Sure is There like the cosmetic aspect where you're going to be more attractive or better looking if you're tan, obviously. But for me, it's just not one of those things that I worry about in the winter months, unless I'm traveling somewhere where I'm going to have more exposure. And so I think, you know, you could look at diet where there's like these ideas of like eating more of a seasonal diet. So eating the things that humans would have eaten during the season that you're living through during that time to like match how the body responds. I think that's the thing. And you know, when it comes to pigmentation, I think that can apply too. And so we look at cycling patterns. We have a seasonal load and taper. You can load through the spring, maintain through the summer, taper through the fall, and then stop through the winter. That's my kind of approach of how I do it. Unless there's something that I need to change, like I said, for a vacation, something like that. You could also do eight weeks on, four weeks off. And this would be good for year round color without continuous exposure. And the four week break is short enough that you do not lose the whole base because typically it'll carry through those four weeks. Then we could have 12 weeks on, four weeks off. And this would be for more high exposure situations. Let's say you are near the equator during the wintertime where exposure is going to be just as much as it is during the summertime. And so you could use that for that. And then again for those targeted short cycles, if you have a cosmetic reason for a photo shoot or bodybuilding competition, you could do two to four weeks of low dose loading before a specific event and then stop. And in my opinion that's the safest way to use Melanitan too, because again with it being less selective and exposing more of those receptors in the application, I think that's where we would see more of the side effects that are unwanted. And then structuring cycles around real life basically count backwards. So if you have a beach trip in mid July, start in mid May. If you have a wedding in September, start in July. If you're on a winter tropical vacation, start six to eight, six to eight weeks before that departure also too for seasonal athletes. So if you're someone that cycles, runs golf, things like that, just be smart about how you use it and you can kind of time that up. And then for medical indications, obviously anchor to the trigger season. So someone with polymorphic light eruption knows what, like what months the eruptions will start. So just be aware of that and kind of load going into it. But I like to be kind of in that like four to eight week window leading up to when I'm going to be outside to build a base. And so for instance this summer we went on vacation to the beach which was in early July. I was loading up in May and June so that by the time we went to the beach I already had a pretty good base tan. And so I didn't even have to apply sunscreen. I think I put sunscreen on once when we were at the beach and it was really hot outside and I had already been outside for like six hours that day. And that was the only time I had to use it this year because I can kind of too. You get kind of to the point where you kind of sense yourself starting to burn and you can kind of feel it like oh man, I can kind of start the, feel the burn. And so I know to go ahead and put sunscreen on there. Off cycle expectations. Pigment typically fades over six to eight weeks. Not overnight and not permanently. In my experience even when you're doing this cyclically. I will say even in the winter time. I'm more dark now than I was pre using melanitan also too, freckle and mole darkening tends to fade too, sometimes more slowly. But again I think another reason to kind of do this cyclically because if you do get the darkening of the, the moles and freckles, it could kind of work its way back to where those are not so dark anymore. And. And then again the photoprotective benefit fades with the pigment. And again sunscreen behavior should return to baseline if you're not using it. But there is no crash, there is no rebound, there is no withdrawal and no suppression of our own alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone production. Thus you don't have to worry about that. I know that's probably something people think about with peptides and using these compounds is hey, am I, is my body ever going to make it? No. Or am I ever gonna have to worry about my body not making it? No, you should be fine. And when you stop it there's no like rebound or anything like that. And then again for the spot watching window, this is the period when spots more look more prominent against a lightning background. Is exactly why we should pay attention. Again I think, I think another thing to actually have off cycles. Again we look at long term use considerations with melanin 1 at least in the method which is that implant we have zero drug related serious Adverse events across all registries. No malignancy, no liver, kidney or cardiovascular issues. And so when we talk about the melanomas, obviously you want to be smart, talk to your doctor doctor about those things. But we know with Melanin one it does appear to be much safer because we have data on it. Not saying the Lantan 2 is dangerous, it's just that we have way more data around melanin one being very safe. When we talk about stacking with other peptides, I think there's, there's one point that I think will be very helpful here. But to, to kind of go over everything, Lantan 1 layers very cleanly with almost anything other than adding in like PT141, because I just don't think, I wouldn't do those on the same day at the same time. Its mechanism does not compete with other pathways. You can run it along a healing stack. Even KPV, a GHC protocol, GLP1 or TRT don't have to worry about it. The one thing I will say is never use two melanic melanocortin peptides concurrently. Mainly MT1, MT2 and PT141. I think KPV is fine because it is so side effect free. But I would not use Melan 1 and PT141 or Melan 2 and PT141 on the same day at the same time. You could rotate the days and so you could take PT141 one day and then the next day do Lantan 2. Just don't take them at the same time because the nausea could be very, very unpleasant to say the least. Let's talk about sequencing with other peptides. I kind of think conceptually as melan two is the tanning bed and the melan one is the sunscreen. Use the tanning bed to have a fast effect. But you don't do the tanning bed all the time. We use Melan one is kind of the background player that's always going to be there and hopefully ends up replacing sunscreen for you. But I like the idea of melan two as a base and then melan one is a transition. And so if you were to do that, you can do this either way. You could use melanin one first, you use Melanitan two first, you will get a better base faster. With Melan Tan 2 again, you could do 100 micrograms, 250 micrograms daily for one to two weeks and then weeks three to four, if you wanted to overlap, you could do Melan 2 every other day and then Melan 105 milligrams twice weekly. So and then I would just Transition over to melan 1.25 2.5mg once or twice weekly. And so while I am not someone that recommends doing them overlapping, I do think there's a use case if you really want fast tanning. So I would say this is the fast tanning method that we could then work our way into it. But if you don't need to do it fast, I would start with melan tan one first. But if you want to skip the overlap entirely, that also works. So just finish the melanin two loading phase, wait five to seven days and then go into Melanitan one. And this is going to be cleaner and slightly slower reconstitution. There is nothing unique that you need to know about this. So again, just use back water, shoot it down the side of the vial. Very simple reconstitution. Sub Q injection. Don't have to worry about anything weird with this one. The easiest thing most melanitan one or two comes in 10 milligram bile. You add 2 mils of water to it. It's now 5 milligrams per milliliter. Each unit is 50 micrograms. And so if you wanted 250 micrograms you would do 5 units. If you wanted 500 micrograms you would do 10 units. Very simple. Don't overcomplicate it. There again, same, same label or same rules apply for injections. 29 to 31 gauge insulin needle into the abs, thigh, back of the arms, wherever your favorite sub Q injection is storage. Just keep it in the fridge and you should be good. I've actually used my 10 one that's probably like a year old before and still fine. So I'm sure it was not as potent as it was the day it was mixed. But it does seem to last pretty long in the fridge. And misdos. This is not one that you need to be like super religious with your dosing. Just kind of use it as needed and just be smart about it. Try to be consistent if you can and then just make sure if you're traveling with it because a lot of times you will be traveling with this. If you're going on vacation. Just make sure that you are keeping it refrigerated in an insulin cooler in your check bag or your carry on if you so choose. I would say skin checks are not optional. So please just make sure you're getting your skin checked. If you're doing this, obviously you can use photos to do that. If you have a pretty good pulse on your body, you can just say, hey, I'm looking at my moles or my freckles and making sure that those are not changing. And then subjective markers, just make sure you're doing there. I would say the one thing is melanin one, probably melanin two a little bit too. And this could just be a factor of improving the response to sunlight. But it does seem to have a very positive effect on mood. And I did want to talk about that. There's very less or much less from a clinical literature standpoint that we can point to. But there is this subjective mood effect. Obviously you could get blood work done, see how things are going, track your blood pressure and heart rate. It's worth looking at creatine kinase if you are doing melan too. Especially if you train hard just looking at the kidneys and the liver to make sure everything is good there. And then vitamin D. Make sure you're still supplementing with vitamin D and then check your baseline, depending on how much vitamin D you need. Let's talk about stacking. I think we could obviously use ghk. That's the beauty peptide. If you like it, it can enhance the response to Melanitan 1. Bpc could be great just from an angio or a blood flow and angiogenesis standpoint. Same thing with TB500. SS31 will always make everything work better. Obviously the MC1R activation reduces the upstream ROS burden and then SS31 is going to help that as well. So we definitely get this improvement in reactive oxygen species. In my experience, SS31 is just one of those peptides that makes everything else work better, especially the peptides we're doing. The one thing I will say that some people complain about is they get these basically what I guess would be called melasmas. And I've gotten them before in the past, kind of like underneath my eyes. And when you take Melantin one, sometimes it can actually make those worse. If you already have them, I don't think it causes them, but it can make it worse. And what I like to use sometimes as a counterbalance, and I use this all the time anyway, is glutathione. Basically, glutathione can actually shift melanin more towards pheomelanin, which is actually the opposite of what melan does. But we can use this kind of as a counterweight to soften the XX pigmentation or accelerate the return to baseline at the End of a protocol. Let's say you take melan two and you actually get too dark. Glutathione will actually help lighten the skin to bring you back. But in my experience, glutathione can actually help even out the tan that you're getting from this. And it can kind of counterbalance some of those melasmas that would be caused by the lantan one, obviously two, you're probably helping with the darkening, the freckles and the moles too. And so you kind of got to find the sweet spot of like, how much glutathione you do, whether you do it injection wise or transdermal wise. But you could do 200 to 600 milligrams intramuscularly, two to three times weekly. And what I like about that is it kind of counterbalance some of those, like, uneven pigmentations that you would get from a lantan one that not everyone gets. But I. I've seen in my own life. TRT and hormone replacement, obviously great to use alongside of it. GLP1s you can use. Just know that the excess nausea from the GL, from the melan 2 might not be the best thing if you're already nauseous from a glp. And so just be careful with that because I've heard of people not responding the best to that, you know. And then also too, just be aware I would not combine. I know I've said a lot. Just don't combine with PT141 at the same day at the same time. And also be conservative with photosensitizing drugs like doxycycline or diuretics. Especially if you're in the bodybuilding world and that's something that you're doing. Because I know it's very common to use Melan2 and diuretics leading into a show. Let's talk about troubleshooting. So I don't feel anything. In this case, it would be. I'm not getting any color. So sometimes it just takes time. Takes up to four to six weeks before you see anything. If you're on day eight and you don't have the pigmentation, you wait or that you like yet. Just wait. Um, you also have to get sun. I can't stress that enough. Cause a lot of people think they can stay all inside all day and do this. You need the activation from the sunlight. Uh, could you do a tanning bed? Yeah, you probably could. I would advise against that. I don't ever plan on using tanning beds. I know that's still A thing that people do, just not my personal preference. Also too, if you're your skin, depending on your skin type, the dose could be too low. So if you're that Fitzpatrick one or two, you might need more to start to shift the pigmentation. Whereas someone that is a little bit darker naturally doesn't need as much. Also too, people with red hair or very fair skin typically have less MC1R function. And so again, you might just not be responding as much to that because that specific receptor does not function as well based on your skin type. And again, also, just make sure your product is what it says. Um, this is not something that happens a lot, but I have heard in the past of people thinking they're taking melan 10:1 and they take melan 10:2 and they do 500 micrograms or 1 milligram and then the side effects are really, really bad. So again, I've seen that happen. Just make sure you know what you're doing and you're getting it and you're labeled properly. If you do get nausea, obviously this is dose dependent. It usually fades after the first two to four weeks. But if you do get nausea, just cut down the dose in half. And typically the nausea will be at least a little bit less. If you get flushing, headache or excessive yawning, that's all very expected. Melanin two, it's gonna be worse. But again, typically eating food will help with this. And so if you wanna, if you wanna do it in a fasted state and then you get the bad side effects, sometimes adding food can kind of help offset some of the side effects we talk about. Injection site reactions, typically very minimal that I ever see with Melan one, but not uncommon. And so depending on the person. And so just be aware that you could get, you know, redness or whatever at the injection site. But again, not something that I wouldn't say it's common, but it's also not super rare either. If you get patchy or uneven color, this is where I like the glutathione also too, just making sure you're getting even sun exposure. Because I know sometimes, like if you're outside and you're working, you have shirts on or whatever, that can lead to uneven exposure. But the glutathione does help. And also too, for darkening new moles, both compounds darken existing pigmented lesions. However, if you get uniform darkening of an existing mole that keeps its shape and borders, this is kind of expected. However, if you get a change in shape in the irregular border asymmetry Multiple colors, growth, itching or bleeding, stop and see a dermatologist and obviously stop the the my tan right away. Okay, so let's talk about priopasms which can a genuine emergency because this does happen, hopefully it's not for you. And again, this is why I lean towards that lower dosing on melan 2 rushing lasting more than four hours is an emergency room visit, not a wait and see. And so just go get that done because it can end up kind of having some bad effects. And so again I know that's rare, few and far between, but just be aware that that can be something that can happen. Obviously you need to go to the emergency room and then like I said, if you have any moles that change in shape, border, color, variety or itching or bleeding, take those seriously and then just stop and give yourself some time off. Get them checked out if you need to with the dermatologist and then kind of go from there. Is Malaytan 1 legal in the US it's FDA approved but in a lot of other countries it is not legal to use in the way that we would classify it. So again it's just one of those things. You're going to have to go the research route in most cases for this. Some compounding pharmacies may make it just for cosmetic purposes. If you have a clinic that can do it. My experience is much more one that will be in the research world. So generally like I said, compounding pharmacies are not going to make that. Can you get the FDA approved version prescribed for tanning? No, that would be very off label. Can you use it as natal spray? I know there's melanin two nasal sprays that are out there. I think some people use those. I've heard them say that like it works a little bit, but it's also not going to be the best thing. I would just do an injection. There was a Medical 2025 case report that described a 22 year old who developed mucosal malignant melanoma in her anterior maxilla following Melantin's to nasal spray use. And so I would just avoid the nasal spray at this time. We don't have any way that I know of to take it orally. However, I will say I didn't put this in the slides because it's much more speculative. I have seen transdermal versions that you can apply just on one area and it actually has a systemic effect. It's a little bit more mild than the injections. But hey, if you don't want to Inject those are out there now that you could probably go find if you are resourceful. Will it tan me if I never go in the sun? Barely. You probably will notice a little bit of change over time. But again, you really need that activation from the sun to help with the melanocyte activation of the peptide. Can you do a tanning bed? I would always default to the real sun. Tanning beds emit heavily UVA weighted output and UVA drives photo aging and contributes to melanoma risk without the vitamin D benefit of UB uvb. And so the cases where there have been melanoma cited with Melan Tan 2, almost always the person is using a tanning bed as well. So I for that reason avoid tanning beds at all costs. I realize some people are going to do that, but I think it's just one of those things I would, I would stay away. How far ahead of a vacation should I start? Usually like eight weeks for most people, three to four weeks. If you're doing a shorter block of Lantan 2 or depending on your pre existing pigmentation, MT1 or MT2, what's my verdict? I'm gonna say Milan 1 for almost everyone. It has the pedigree, it has the safety data and also two of my experience, a lot of cases, it's all you need. I recognize there's a use case for Lantan 2 and that would be speed, but I would use it in a short burst and then transition. If I red have red hair, will it work? Partially. It's not that it's not gonna work, but it's just not gonna work as well. In someone that has blonde or brown hair. You may get more freckle darkening than uniform color. And the photo protective argument still has merit. And so again, you might not get tan if you have red hair. However, I think it could reduce the incidence of you burning and potentially like reduce the amount of sunscreen that you have to use. If your moles are getting darker, should you panic? No, but pay attention and then just check the size, shape and then how they feel. Ultimately, I think you know, one of the biggest questions is will this give me melanoma? Nobody knows. And it's one of those things you can't say for sure it does and for sure it doesn't. So you just have to be cautious and use discretion when you're doing it. Obviously we have published case reports of people that have used melan too that have had bad issues. But then there's also data to show that melan 2 actually in animals can shrink melanomas and so again I think probably tanning beds have something to do with that. But for someone that struggles with a melanoma or has a very relevant history of it, whether it's personally or in your family, just be advised and be cautious with it and make sure that you are always checking it. But the, the short answer is I can't tell you. It depends and I personally don't worry about it but I don't have a family history of skin cancer and I've never really had anything that I know of was like dark moles or anything like that. So just be aware that it's there. Can you run it alongside TRT? Definitely. Blood pressure and heart rate with melanin 1 there's almost no effect. But melanin 2 can be dose dependent and can potentially affect blood pressure and heart rate or if you have afib, so just be aware there is kidney damage real you would have to go to a very, very high dose. So there was a 2012 report of a man who injected 6 milligrams of Melan 2. Please don't ever do that. That's like more than six times the, the recommended dose. It's really like you know, 24 times what I would recommend. But he developed rhabdomyolysis and kidney dysfunction. They required intensive care. So please don't do those high doses. Gray market, it's very cheap in most cases so it's one of those things. Do you still need sunscreen? It depends on the person, but I would say in most cases yes. Melanin does not make you immune to uv, it just helps with protection. And so in a lot of cases, especially if you haven't used it before, still use sunscreen, you're just probably going to need much less of it. And then you could probably wean yourself off depending on how dark you get. But again if you're already pale, you might still need sunscreen. So for instance my wife Taylor, she's a little bit more fair skinned than I am. She still has to use sunscreen even with Melan Tan 1. Whereas me, I can get away with it especially like once I've built a base tan, but I just have a little bit more natural of complexion than my wife. And so again also too can be relative to how long you were out in the sun. And so like when I'm outside for eight hours, sometimes like closer into those six or seventh hour I might need to apply sunscreen just to cover my bases. Where's this headed? I don't Think anywhere in terms of getting it more from doctors. Hey, maybe we'll see more clinics in the future using it off label to prescribe for tanning, but I just don't really see that happening. I think it's one that's gonna be really relegated to the research world until we see transdermal versions become much more commercially popularized. And so I think that that's probably the best bet of getting more people exposed to it. But I don't see this being one that is, like, really that much more adopted than it already is. Because obviously tanning usually isn't as big of a problem as fat loss or cognition or things of that nature that. Or much more pressing problems that we would say are chronic diseases. Um, there is a trial right now for Vigo, where basically they have 210 patients across 37 sites on three continents, 57% enrolled in the U.S. but they are focused on adolescents from age 12 and adults with darker skin types. And basically they are working to see how they will respond. But basically, right now we have a positive readout that would make Melan one a drug with two approved indications and move it from ultra orphan status to mainstream dermatology, because Vitiligo affects far more people than epp. But again, we'll see how that goes. It's currently ongoing, but here's my verdict on Melan 1. This is the base tan. It's durable photo protective pigment that becomes our new baseline. It's FDA approved, lots of safety data, and I feel very comfortable that almost everyone aside from people with active melanomas can use it. Melania 102 is much more like the tanning band. It's great for a very specific purpose in a short window, but it's not something that I would use for the long term or use all the time. And so again, start very low with these, go slow, work your way up. That's also going to help you offset some of the side effects. And then you could use it. My. My recommendation would be to use it in a cyclical manner based on where you live. And again, just sum up. We covered the mechanisms, the evidence, split the. The limitations. And again, I think that if you take one thing away from this, tanning peptides are great. Just understand what you're getting into and why you're using them. You. And as I always tell people, have a goal when you're using peptides. And even if that goal is simple as like, hey, I want to be more tan for the summer. That's a fine goal to have, but just Be smart about it. Don't go like, oh, I'm just going to go buy some Lantan 2 and shoot up 1mg. Be smart about it and understand that there's a little bit more nuance there and hopefully this masterclass has been helpful in doing that. But obviously the fundamentals still come first. So no peptide will ever replace sleep training, food, diet or staying out of the sun during the four hours a day that it does the most damage and being smart about it. So that is it for the slides and that is my masterclass on my Lantern one and my Lantan two. Obviously this one went a little bit longer because we covered two peptides a day. But hopefully this will be a good reference guide for anyone out there that really wants to know a lot about these peptides. And hopefully time wise you can still get some tanning in before the summer is out. Again, depending on where you live in the world. But thank you guys so much for this one. I love to hear your feedback in the comments about what you like and maybe you disagree with me, that's totally okay. If you think two has more of a use case than I espouse today, that's totally fine. It's totally fine to disagree because I know there's people out there that love Melan Tan 2, but I think a lot of people make the mistake of just jumping to Melania 2 again because their friend or family member or whoever told them they used it and it worked. And that would be the reverse order. I would do Melanitan one first, kind of build up exposure to it and then if you do want to get into Melan Tan 2, you could kind of go from there. Unfortunately, and this is probably more from like the fitness and bodybuilding world. Melan 2 just has a little bit more, I guess I would say name brand cliche or cachet in the, in the world, out there in the fitness world, but I think a lot of people would do better on Melan 1 first. And then if you again need Melanitan 2 for those very specific situations, it could be very useful there. But again, just my opinion, but I look forward to your feedback on this one. Let me know how it was and as always, thank you guys so much. Just in closing, thank you. It's such a blessing and an honor and a privilege to get to do what I do and I would not be able to do that without you guys. So I always want you to know whether you like, comment, subscribe, send this to friends and family, use my coded places, join my private group that goes so far in helping me bring these messages to you. And it's one of those things, like, I get so excited when I get up out of bed in the morning to do these. And I still have many more masterclasses to come, still lots to work on. So stay tuned and I will see you guys in the next one. Peace.
