This is the Joy Broadcast. Let's go. Hello and welcome back to the Joy Broadcast. I've had a little break, and I think this is really rather true to form to me. Now, you all know I love human design. You probably listened to all my podcasts on human design earlier in the episodes before, but I'm align 36. And align 36 really is all about trial and error and working things out and playing in the field. I mean, it's got an awful name. It's called the Double Martyr. But I don't like that. To me, it's about adventure and play. And I see it really as being this phoenix. It's understanding that you can burn everything down. And in the burning down, what is left in the embers are little golden nuggets. And those are the ones that you want to breathe life into, to create the next version, to bring it back to life, to bring that fire back. And as a generator with that sacral fire, that's what we do. The golden embers are the bits that we love. So while I love podcasting, you've probably noticed that we've had a bit of a new intro and I took a little bit of a break because I want you to think about, what is this next evolution, what is this next year? Because we are in our second year of joy broadcasting. What do I want this all to be about? And I really did feel like the first year of the Joy broadcast was very much about bringing a level of calm and perhaps that was right for the year of the Wood snake. For those of you who love everything to do with Eastern energies and things like I do, dabbling in it, understanding it, having awareness of it really. But it felt like we're moving into this next era, this era of the galloping fire horse. And I felt that shift in me, the releasing, the letting go, the calming, was now like, I'm so fired up and I'm so ready to go. And I felt like the joy broadcast needed to come and change, to be brought into alignment with that energy that I'm feeling and the energy that I'm feeling in my rooms and in my spaces and the places and the spaces that I create. And I was like, what does that look for? My podcast, I did it with my email as well. I suddenly felt, do you know what? My newsletters don't feel right anymore. I want to change them. And so for those of you who are on my email list and my newsletter list, you'll see that I've completely changed that. So it's just a once a week, two minute read. And it directs you to everything that you need in order to bring more joy into your life. It directs you to the podcast, it directs you to the blogs and the substacks. It's going to share what I'm reading, what I'm learning, what I'm thinking about. It's a two minute read on a Monday morning to align you to joy. And that felt so good for me and it just felt so responsive to the women that I want to work with, that I want to support and engage with. They don't have time. They're incredibly busy. Time is precious. It's their most precious commodity and I wanted to help them with that time rather than struggling looking for everything. It's like one stop, one stop shop for joy. So it's called the JOY Brief. If you're not on that newsletter, please do come and join me. I'll put the link in the show notes. So that was one thing that I realigned back to Joy. And I wanted to do exactly the same with the JOY Broadcast. And I thought to myself, as I was, well, it was really in writing a keynote speech that I'm actually delivering tomorrow. And I was like this, this is what I want to talk more about. And what I've learned from the first year of the JOY broadcast and how it has evolved was I used to answer the question, how do I survive when everything is falling apart? That was really the energy of, I suppose, how I felt in 2016. Everything was falling apart. And if you've heard my story, those five Ds, the death of my mum, the near divorce of my husband due to betrayal and infidelity, the dead end in my career, walking away from a 20 year career and not really understanding who I was and losing my identity. A lot of loss there, loss of my mum, loss of my marriage, loss of my identity, that created this depression in me. I was diagnosed with ptsd, clinical depression, eating disorders and insomnia. And then also this crippling dysmorphia, looking in the mirror and years of self loathing. Those five Ds were heavy. And I found joy. In my darkness. I found joy. My soul showed me joy and how to use joy as a strategy, as a healer, to help me heal my broken heart, to help me heal my body, to help me heal my mind. And I talk about that a lot, the daily dose, how that compounded those emotions and those hormones in my body to help me heal. I felt that that's where I was talking and that's what I was sharing about. That was terrible. English and that's really what I was sharing. But it was interesting. In the autumn of last year, I started to feel the shift that there was more to joy than just these glimmers of hope in the darkness. Because I was no longer that person. I wasn't in the dark. I was, I had everything, I changed everything around. In the last decade, I felt like, wow, I have created so much. I am living my dream life. I am living the miracle that I thought that once would never happen. You know, I remember lying in my, you know, in my bed thinking, it's going to take a miracle for me to be able to be happy again. And I was floating in my hot tub in the autumn thinking, oh my God, I've got so much. I'm so grateful I've got so much going on, and there is so much in everything, and everyone needs a piece of me. How can I find joy? And actually, at this moment in time, it was recognizing that joy was still that strategy. Joy in the darkness, but joy also in the light. When everything has happened, joy when the chips are down, but also when the chips are piling up, it was saying, gosh, how do I use joy here? Joy is still the strategy. It's a strategy for any era of your life. So the second question became, how do I survive when everything is coming at me all at once? And it was, joy is still the answer. And I think it's so powerful because when I ask that question, it's going to take a miracle. It's going to take magic to help me feel better, to help me feel good. I remember thinking, what is that? And again, so interestingly this week, I was reminded of the answer. As I was writing this keynote speech, I pulled out my favorite tarot deck, the Wandering Star tarot deck, and I was asking the question, what do I need to bring to this talk to really make my message hit home? What is this? What do I need to do? Who do I need to be? What is my key message? And out popped a jumper. Don't you love a jumper when a card literally jumps out at you? And the card was one of the major arcana, it was the magician. I've got it here in my hand, and it was the reminder that you are the magic. I was the magic. I had to unleash the magic within me. And it always goes back to the same formula that I've been beating the drum of over and over and over again, that actually magic happens in your life. And if you've taken my manifesting, as if by magic, you'll know what I'm talking about. But the magic happens when you have power plus skill plus action. That's magic. It's having those three key elements. And the difference between so many of us is that we are all incredibly talented women. We all have the talents and the skills. You can learn the talents, and you can learn the skills, and you can take the action. You're taking the action every single day. You're showing up, up. You're doing whatever it is that you need to do in terms of growing your business, promoting your career. You're doing that using your talents and the skills. But the thing that is going to create the magical results is the power that you add into that. You fuel those skills and those actions with. And that power is Energy. It's not force, it's not brute force. It's not muscle strength. It's this powerful energy that comes from deep within you and the most powerful energy of all. And again, if you understand the Hawkins Scale, you will know that the most powerful energy of all is love, joy, peace, and enlightenment. The top four most highest vibrating frequencies are the ones that you fuel your skills and your actions with to give you those magical results. So I really wanted to bring that here into the Joy Broadcast. The power. The power. The power. The power. I want to remind you every week to come back to Joy. Fuel your love, fuel yourself with joy, fuel it with peace and enlightenment, because that is what's going to give you those magical results this year of the Fire Horse. That is what we're going to be talking about here and throughout this year on the Joy Broadcast. So I hope you're here for the ride. Now, here's to the second point that I wanted to share with you. There's often a little voice inside my head because once upon a time someone said it to me. And you know what it's like when you get an earworm, when somebody says something to you. It always comes and it kind of like gets deep rooted into your. Into your programming and into your psyche and into your subconscious. Someone once said to me that joy is just fluff. And I was like, oh, I don't want to be fluff. Joy. Joy is frivolous. You know, this is what keeps coming back to me. Joy is fluff. Joy is frivolous. Joy is for the lifestyle bloggers. I was like, do I really believe that? Because I know deep within my soul, my soul didn't give me this message for it to be fluffy or for it to be frivolous. So it was then sitting with myself and going, okay, what is my opinion about joy? Why do I believe joy is so powerful? And then I realized when I sat down and looked over the last decade of my life and how I have used joy every single step and every single era in my life and in every single area of my life, when it comes to my health, when it comes to the health of my body, the health of my mind, when it comes to the health of my relationships, my friendships, my community, when it comes to my business, my purpose, our entrepreneurial businesses that we have together, it has always been about joy. So why has it worked? Why AM I, at 50, the healthiest version of myself and being invited to model? Why is my relationship so strong, despite the fact that we've been thrown through the wringer with it. Why have all of my businesses been so successful? The ones that I've run on my own, the ones that I've run in partnerships. Why? The answer was joy. And as I looked at this, I thought, joy isn't frivolous or fluffy. What I believe is, is that joy is fucking science. It's physics, biology, and chemistry. And I knew that. And I said to AI, I said, come on, what is the difference between chemistry, biology, and physics? And this is what it said. Chemistry is what things are made of and how they change. Biology is how living things work, and physics is how the universe behaves. And I thought, that's so interesting. Joy is science. I knew it deep within me. And this is what really helped me solidify this belief and what I want to share more with you. Let's start with chemistry. Everything started with chemistry. You've heard me talk about the Daily Dose. It's the first podcast. If you haven't listened to it, please go back, wind your way all the way back and go and listen to why Joy and the Daily Dose. My joy list, the joy list that I reach for every single day that gave me that daily dose of happy hormones, the dopamine, the oxytocin, the serotonin and endorphins that I did instinctively and intuitively, that I then realized was a scientific feat because those are literally chemical reactions happening in my body. What I was doing was I was giving myself a chemical makeover. Joy wasn't just a feeling. It was a formula. And it was a chemical change in my biochemistry. By using those hormones, by flooding my body with dopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, endorphins, I literally healed my body. I changed my state. Chemistry, what things are made of and how they changed. I changed my state with the chemistry of Joy. So biology, then. How do living things work? The next era that I used Joy was Joy as a lifestyle. When my dear friend sadly died of pancreatic cancer, we chose Joy as a lifestyle. We wanted to live first and have a way of working that supported the way we wanted to live. And we chose that with absolute intention. Both my husband and I and I left a partnership that I felt that had come to a completion. And my husband left a job that was giving him incredible stress. We sold some assets and we said, right, let's change the way in which we live and change the way in which we work. Biology. Joy changes how you function as a living system. And it was in 2023, when I look back over that first decade or those first seven years sor since rock bottom to suddenly finding myself happier than ever in my marriage, knowing really what I wanted to do for my career and healthy again in mind, body, soul. And that was when I came up with the harmony principles, the seven key principles that I had been living by. Those harmony principles aren't just self help. They were a biological ecosystem. They were anchor points to help me and guide me on how I slept, moved, connected, and they restored everything in my body. And that really governed how my brain and my body performed in life. Joy wasn't a reward for when life worked. Joy became the condition for creating a living system, an ecosystem at its peak. Biology, joy changes how you function as a living system. Those harmony principles absolutely did that science, yet again, following something that I did completely intuitively. So then physics. Physics is how the universe behaves. Joy changes your frequency. Nikola Tessa said, if you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration. This is where physics comes in to play. My mind was blown when I was introduced to the Hawkins Scale a couple of years ago, just as I decided that joy was going to be the one thing that I wanted to talk about. The Hawkins Scale. The Hawkins Scale shows that emotions have measurable energetic levels and frequencies. And quantum physics tells us that energy attracts like energy. So your emotional state isn't just internal, it's a signal that you're broadcasting. This is why I call this the joy broadcast. Joy is a frequency, and if you can move yourself up the Hawkins scale of emotional frequency, you know, if you can move yourself through grief, through fear, through apathy, through willingness to acceptance, and then find yourself at love, in the frequency of love, in joy, in peace and enlightenment. When you're in that state, that is when you can influence the universe to be supportive of you. And that's why I say that joy is your competitive edge, because this is what makes you a super attractor. It's what makes you a super, super magnetic person, for resources, opportunities, people. You know, all of this really reinforced me as I was telling these stories of chemistry, biology and physics and my journey with joy. That joy is not soft, it's not fluffy, it's science, it's chemistry, it's physics, it's biology. And when you understand that joy stops being a nice to have and it becomes your sharpest competitive edge, it becomes your strategy for not only living, but working and looking after yourself. And I didn't think that I was going to be talking about this because I don't really see myself As a scientist, my sister's the scientific one, I'm the spiritual one. But this is where science and spirituality comes together. And it just feels like I want this broadcast to be all about joy and Lessons in Chemistry. Don't you love that book, by the way? Lessons in Chemistry, one of my favorite books. And, oh, my gosh, I've just realized that I was reading Lessons in Chemistry at the same time as I came up with the Harmony Principles. Wow. Oh, my God. I've just blown my own mind there. So Lessons in Chemistry is what we're going to be talking about. Joy as science. Joy is spirituality. The coming together. Joy is the answer. It's the healer, it's the antidote. It's the lifestyle, it's the strategy, it's your competitive edge. It's the. The way that you become the super attractor. For anything you want in life, whether that's in love, whether that's in work, whether that's in your career, it's whatever. Joy is always the answer. Joy is the answer to that question or those two questions that I asked at the beginning. How do I survive when everything is falling apart? Joy, you hit your daily dose. How do I survive when everything comes at me all at once? Joy, just on you. You use the Harmony Principles. You use the Hawkins Scale. You work through your emotions. This isn't about regulating your emotions. And I have a whole side note on regulation. Emotions are information. We don't suppress them. We don't limit them. We don't regulate them like valves. My husband twiddles with valves to regulate the temperature. Emotions are information that we can so use. So when you're moving up that Hawkins Scale, if you're feeling guilt, and my goodness, how many of us feel mung guilt? It's just information to say, okay, I recognize guilt. We don't suppress it. We don't ignore it. We say, okay, guilt, come and tell me what you think I should be doing and let me take action. That's what we do. I'm going to take action towards it so that I can release guilt from its hold upon me. The shackles, the weight, the heaviness on it. Tell me what you want me to do. My boys are home and I'm working. Okay, let's go and have a conversation with them. Let's see if they want me to do something with them. And then the guilt is gone. So fear. Fear is often a heavy one that I speak to many of my clients about. You know, the fear of getting it wrong, of not being good. Enough of being a failure for past situations coming back and you getting it wrong. The fear of judgment and embarrassment, all of these things. Fear. So many of us, before we're enlightened, which is the highest frequency you can be, is recognizing that fear is not your foe. Fear is not there to stop you. Fear is your friend. When you have a big dream, when you have a big desire, fear is going to be walking hand in hand with you. So you want to ask them, all of your little fear friends, please tell me what you've got. They help you expand you. They help you and guide you in making your dreams come true. Your desires become a reality because they're giving you all of the mitigating steps and actions that you can take. Okay, if you're not feeling good enough, I fear I'm not good enough. Okay, well, how can I do better? That's how I come back at my fear, when it tells me I'm not doing good enough. The fear of failure. You know, for a line 3.6, there's no such thing as failure. Failure are just opportunities to learn more. So don't let failing stop you. You're just going to learn. You're going to learn something that you're going to need for the next stage. The fear of past repeating itself again. If I thought that, then I would have never gotten anywhere. It's trusting and knowing that if a similar situation happened again, I'd know differently because I've had that opportunity to reflect. I am enlightened on what happened before, so I can use that as a hindsight and as wisdom to guide me forward. Fear of embarrassment and judgment. Oh, this is what so many people worry about. The fear of being seen, but yet they want to be seen. Bring it back to values. If you know and love yourself, if you understand who you are, what your purpose is and why you are here, it doesn't matter what other people think of you. They're going to think something of you anyway. They're either going to think you're an inspiration or they're going to think that, you know, you're no good. Either way, it doesn't matter. It's more important about how you feel about you. And this is some of the biggest work that I do is helping women understand who they are, being strong in their values. You know, I was thinking the other day, how do I explain what it is that I do? And yes, I can say I'm a joy coach. And yes, I can say I'm a mentor. And yes, I can say a life coach and a health coach and all of these qualifications that I have. But really, what is it that I help people do? I help people live and love their life using Joy as a strategy. Joy is a strategy for their body. Joy is a strategy in the bedroom with all of their relationships, their adventures and their life. And joy in the boardroom. Joy is your competitive edge. It really, really is because it's science and it's proven. And so I'm very impassioned about this and you can probably hear in my voice, I'm very excited about where we're going to be going with the JOY broadcast going forward.
