Jared Freed
Hello and welcome to the J Train Podcast. This is J Train Jared Freed coming to you live from Miami Beach. That's right, every Thursday. It's a Pop Culture Thursday. What do we do on Pop Culture Thursday? If you're new here, if maybe you're listening because you know, the podcasts that are in your life took a week off or did a best of week and you saw me post somewhere and you were like, oh, I'll give it a shot. Well, this is a daily show. Monday's mailbag. Monday, I take advice emails from listeners, and then Tuesday's ticked off. Tuesday listeners write in with their complaints, I complain with them. Wednesday is chitchat. Wednesday, that is me chit chatting with a comedian or just someone in my life and having a talk. And you get to listen in and you don't have to even add anything at all. You just get to be a fly on the wall, which is fun. I have fun doing that myself. And then Thursday is Pop Culture Thursday. And we go to Page Six. I have page Six open in front of me and I legitimately just go headline for headline. And then we, we riff, we read the article a little bit and I give you my perspective for whatever that's worth. And it's one person's opinion. I'm trying, you know, it's meant to be funny, insightful, all those things. But honestly, this is all just to help you put your brain on the shelf and give you a moment to let me take the wheel this idiot. I take the wheel of your brain and you can not think of the new year and what am I going to do and am I going to improve? No, we are. It's also, this is that fun period of time when the new year falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and you go, oh, the, the new year starts next week. We're. We're in bonus time right now. Someone. I put up a video about this on TikTok and they called it something very funny. Oh, they said it was like the pre open soft opening. I love that. I was so envious. I wish that was in my TikTok soft opening of the year. That's what this is. The restaurant isn't open, but we're trying things out and then we're going to really open on Monday. So shout out to that commenter. Fantastic Chef's kiss if you're listening. And you are in Portland, Oregon, Phoenix, Arizona, Montreal. I did try to promise some Tampa. It doesn't look like that's happening. I'll. I'll know my next week if it doesn't happen next week, it's not happening at all. And then I come to New Zealand and Australia if, you know, I'm not, I don't think I have, I don't think there's a lot of like, you know, New Zealand, Australia people listening right now. I don't know, I, I, I, I'm a little, I'm a little naive. I, I'm, I don't know, I wish I knew better. I wish I was one of those people that's like, you gotta target this, this area. There are some people like that. I, I can't do that. I can't do it all. I can't be, you know, sourcing where I should go. And you find out that you gotta go to Bozeman, Montana, that's where you got fans. I don't know, I, maybe that's stupid. Listen, this is all to say if you know anyone in New Zealand or Australia, I'm doing a whole tour there and would love to have them at the show. If you're friends with them and you like this show, I'm going to assume that they're going to like the show as well. So let them know. I gonna go headline hunting with you with the mic in hand. We're five minutes in and we're into the show. So is there anything else to announce, to talk about? No, I. Well, Patreon, I'm gonna talk about going to Boca this week, and I have a lot to say. I'm staying on south beach in Miami at the Ritz Carlton. South Beach. Yep, that's right. Look at me, Fancy Jared. I got a lot of complaints. Those complaints will be spoken about in full on tomorrow's coffee with J Train. I'll get into it. I'm gonna tape it when I go home to Boca. I'm going back to Boca. Then I head to Portland, Oregon. Would love to see you there as I drink my coffee. So let's go to the headlines. Meghan Markle. Now we're gonna start with a Meghan Markle. Here's what I understand I about just people. There are some people that are like, royals people. I have to assume that because Page Six has a royal section, I generally don't dip into the royal section. It's not for me. I would never. I would make fun of anyone. Let me. Let me restart that. I would make fun of anyone, but I would never be like, I would never not understand why someone would have interest in the royal family. To me, they're similar to a Disney adult. Like, I kind of get that. Like, not for me. I get how someone could end up down the Disney adult road. Ish. I more so understand the royal road because there's history, there's fun stories. The fact that they're still around. To me, I compare it to Disney because they are like the marketing wing of the uk. I also understand they do bring in money to the country. People go tour the sites. There's a lot of brush back on them. Because, you know, I don't think anyone likes anyone that's just born into royalty. I. I think that's like. And now Meghan Markle, who I have again, not a lot. I have opinions on her and Harry and how they've kind of like, gone through things. It seems as though they're like, we can make money on social media. That's our out of having to like, listen to the elder royals and having to like, kind of live by the rules because we can make our own money just. But it is from their name, but it is this like, side door out of it. So Megan Markle, though, like, if you give. It seems as though she becomes this like, politicized thing. Megan Markle launches Instagram account on New Year's Day with beach video film by Prince Harry now again, to go back to what I just said. Like, social media is a way for them to make money. Meghan Markle has made her Instagram return. The Duchess and I. You know, you can't. She knows that's a story. She knows that ends up on page six. The Duchess of Sussex launched her Instagram account on the social media platform on New Year's Day with a carefree video taken at a beach near her Montecito, California home. In the footage shot by her husband, Prince Harry Markle, Prince Harry Markle, 43, kept her back to the camera while running barefoot on the sand towards the waist. Why did she leave in the first place? The Suits alum. They. She was on like three episodes of Suits. I think. The suits alum eventually stopped and bent down to trace the numbers 2025 in the sand before giggling and jogging away. Markle, who wore an all white outfit in the social media upload, disabled the ability to comment on the post. However, Serena Williams, Chrissy Teigen, T. France and more celebrities show their support by liking it. I mean, to get to report on who likes it. People really must feel a certain way about Meghan Markle and royalty to like report on this. This is such a crazy story to. I'm reading. It's the first one. It literally was in bold letters on the front of page six. Page six exclusively reported in August 2023 that the former actress had secured the At Megan Instagram handle. The account boasted 113,000 followers when she posted Wednesday's. Markle has yet to follow any other Instagram users. 113,000. I mean, she's got a. I mean, well, I guess it's a new account. Her pro. In an hour, she got 113,000. Her profile photos smiling black and white snap with her hair down. I mean, a source told Page Six last year that Marco booted up the account back in August 2022 ahead of her archetype Spotify podcast, which was ultimately canceled after one season. So her and Harry have, like, started production companies and that's kind of the new way of the world. If you have a following, you are NBC. You are cbs. This is kind of where I turn into Bitter Jared. On this show. You go, this is the new way of the world. Who gets an opportunity to host a show? Not up and coming comedian. It's Meghan Markle, who is married to Prince Harry and people have an interest in and she is politicized and can bring eyeballs, which you can't argue with. That's the money. Do you want to know a secret? She said in an interview with the Cut at the time. I'm getting back on Instagram. If you, if your heart rate beat raises from that, you got to go seek therapy. Like, I don't know. I mean, for her to say it's a secret, it kind of shows you everything. Markle had not been on social media since getting engaged to Harry, 40, in November 2017. Interesting. The couple tied the knot in May of the following year, welcoming son Prince Archie in 2019, before quitting the Royal Family and moving to America. I remember talking about it. Then their daughter, Princess Lilibet, joined the family in 2021. Mark, Marco and Harry, who gave a rare glimpse of their children, their family's Christmas card last month, have remained in the spotlight since. Since coming to the United States. Yeah, they have been in the spotlight. They can sell things. They. When they are attached to. This is like the whole reality TV thing, you know, how does you know the idea that love is blind is like a new idea that someone's a genius for coming up or. That is not true. That's an idea that. What if people dated before seeing each other? You think no one said that in the history of the world, in the history of tv? No. Then Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey get attached to it and the right people pitch it. And the right relationships. It's all that Meghan Markle and Harry and Prince Harry, their name is the relationship. Oh, Prince Harry's attached to it. Not only the duo co star in a Netflix documentary, but the former military pilot published his bombshell memoir, Spare. Insiders told us in November 2024 that Markle is planning a major comeback in the new year. So this would be. The insiders told us that Is someone connected to her saying, hey, she's got to come back. Coming. We're trickling this out. We're making sure we control the narrative. In addition to starting a show with streaming. With the streaming service about cooking, gardening and entertaining, she will launch the American Riviera Orchard brand she first teased in March 2024. This to me. This to me is page six getting direct word from Marco's publicist. Hey, it's coming. Let's start preparing people. It's like the way people talk about the aliens. If you're weird segue, but on TikTok, they're like, they're gonna start with like orbs in the sky and then get us comfortable with the idea of an alien. They're gonna start with, you know, with Congress questioning about UFOs. That's. That's what Meghan Markle is doing. Let's do. I'm not going to do a Blake Lively. Justin Baldoni. We did that. To me, it's, it's in the territory of icky and not something I want to touch. There's a, it's. There's a title that says Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni ends with us feud everything we know. That's just a recap. And then there's more with Ryan Reynolds berated him for fat shaming Blake Lively. I mean, it's gone the way of craziness now. Let's see this one. Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt. This guy goes to the bathroom and page Six reports on it. Now celebrity news again. I have my theories about Page Six. This is an exclusive. It says, in my view, an exclusive means given story given to us by publicists. And again, this is a repeat thing. But I honestly think Page six, in my opinion is where all stars go to like get their side out there. And Brad Pitt is old school Hollywood. Brad Pitt finally settled divorce thanks to girlfriend Inez de Ramon. Brad Pitt's girlfriend Inez de Ramon encouraged him to settle his nearly decade long divorce battle with Angelina Jolie so that they could move on with their life together. Source tells sources. Tell Paige. Okay, who's it coming from? Who's to gain? I think this is from Brad's side. Look at Brad. Nice guy, listening to a woman. I think that's part of this. He was influenced by Inez to finally settle. Says the insider. And my phone ringing. What could this be about? In what world? I'm taping this at noon. This will be in coffee with J Train. Hold on. Okay, so I just answered the phone and this will be all this Will all be explained on coffee with J train tomorrow. But, I mean, the call was. Is everything okay? Are you still angry at us? This is like me calling, you know, my. My girlfriend to let you know if I had a girlfriend. My girlfriend being like, are we cool? Did you get my bonvoy points I sent you? That's kind of what that was, but okay. And I mean, it just. I'll talk about it on coffee with Jay trade tomorrow. But it's just like, at noon. What do we. I would assume I wouldn't be here. That's why they're calling. And then they leave a message that I would never hear. You ever see when, like, the thing's blinking and it's like you have a new message? Okay, so I think that this Brad Pitt article is from him because he was influenced by Inez. Ended already. You know what? You're right, babe. Inez wants to have a life together with possibly children in the future without the albatross. That was the eight year War of Roses. What a way to describe it. Well, here's the thing I like thinking of, like, how do I, you know, what's my Q rating? And we've discussed Q ratings here. Like, the likability of a celebrity. And if I'm just like, think Jared, idiot Jared who reads tweets, doesn't read books, reads half an article. You know, what is my smell test, so to speak. I would say all I know, Brad Pitten, Angelina Jolie, is that they've had a tough divorce. I don't know if I would even know that if I didn't do this podcast, But I would also know it seems as though the kids have not taken Brad's side. That is like, kind of what I. My opinion is from the smell test of news items I read. I think I read that, like, one of the kids wanted to change the name or something. That's what it seems like. But I would also say Angelina Jolie. People generally seem to not have a fond opinion of her. It seems that everyone is Team Jen if we're all to choose a side. So to me, this is Brad, in a way, being like, I want to make sure I'm well liked as we end a divorce settlement. She has made it known that her opinion is that life would be so much more enjoyable with this settled. Who would. What's the other opinion? No, life is way better when there's an ongoing divorce with my spouse. Or, you know, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe it's her PR people trying to push him along. She's like, I gotta get this divorce going. You know what? We'll put out a story about how great I am that I wanted these two people to just let what will be will be and end this feud. And look at this powerful girlfriend he has now. Look at her. She. She. She just wants to live a life. Look how sweet and wonderful that that is. My cynical brain now working overtime. Jolie filed for dissolution of marriage in September 19, 2016, and the a listers have been locked in bitter battle over custody and other issues ever since. You know who doesn't want this story out there? The lawyers. They've probably made millions off of them. The endless byzantine legal war over their French winery, Chateau Maraval is still ongoing, however. Oh, so they were like business partners. They were both declared legally single in 2019 and finally signed divorce papers on Monday. So the divorce is finalized, but they're still fighting over the winery. Another source tells us Inez is a positive influence on Brett. I mean, it's got to be from her PR people. She has a really good perspective on things. It's like, from when people just say these things and have no. You know, it's like on a dating app. I'm. I'm fun. I'm energetic. How about you show us instead of telling us. How about. I went to Italy, and I had a great time there. My favorite part were the food tours. That is. Oh, you went on a food tour? Not. I love to travel. To me, Inez has a positive influence on Brad. She has a really good perspective. I don't know. It's sad how this whole thing has played out, but at least this is in progress in the right direction. Okay, we move on. Okay, so now. So this is a great story that I love because I might have some involvement in it if any of you know, I have been to Aspen, and I have gone to Kimo Sabe. Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez, Jennifer Lopez, and Kevin Costner have all been spotted partying above a cowboy hat store in Aspen. I mean, if it's Kimo Sabe, I have been there as well. It is. Forget Annabelle's. The hottest nightclub for the private jet set is a cowboy hat store in the Rockies. To me. Okay, just reading that. That is Kimo Sabe. Their PR people going to page six and being like, look at the names and faces that have been here. And what they do is, you walk in and they offer you a shot and a beer. It is like a car. It is. And it's all women salesmen. And they're all running around and they're like, I mean, listen, I walked into Kemo Sabe and I said, there's no fucking way I'm gonna be the New Yorker who puts on a hat and walks out of here and thinks that he's like a cowboy hat guy. And then you know what happened? I went out, walked out of that house. Hat store. A cowboy hat guy. So they are unbelievable sales women, mostly women. And there's like a loft above it where you can like. Well, they'll serve you shots on a shot ski. It is a party and it is intoxicating. And you do go, ah, maybe I do look good in this hat. Forget Annabelle's. The hottest nightclub for the private jet set is a cowboy hat store in the Rockies. Last week we reported that Jennifer Lopez and Kevin Costner were spotted at a party in the private room above Kimo Sabe Western Ware Emporium and Aspen. I also know that they are expanding. They have another one and I think Salt Lake. Not Salt Lake, whatever's near where they have the, the film festival in Utah. And they've done a pop up in New York since this. Now Page Six hears that Jeff Bezos and entourage partied in the same space over the weekend. Yeah, you heard, you heard from them, from Kimosabe. They want people to know this. Sources tell us that the Amazon bosses fiance, Lauren Sanchez Bezos, four children from his marriage to Mackenzie Scott, his brother Mark, film producer Brian Grazer's wife Veronica Smiley and more members of his close knit family and friends took over the shops upstairs VIP section. Yeah, there's an upstairs where you can go and they'll do like events and stuff which was roped off and watched over by security guards who are source surprisingly described as pretty cool and relaxed. Oh. The PR agent for Kimo Sabe described the security guards of Kimo Sabe as pretty cool and relaxed. Okay, here are some pictures. Listen, I gotta say, here's the thing about the hat. I have one, I think I look good in it. Someone could look at me and go, what a idiot. Look at his. This loser from the Northeastern hat. I'm looking at Bezos. He looks good in the hat and he's got the jacket with the fur on the collar and the glasses on. This is a look. He is pulling it off. I can see a young woman who's. All the women there are hot that work there. It is like going to a car sales lot. It is like going to a used car sale and they look at you and they go, whoa, no, no, no, and they, they're. The smartest thing they do at Kimo Sabi is they put another one on you and they go, no, this isn't it. And then they put another one on you and they go, oh, whoa, whoa, this one, I think if we cut. Because then they can cut the brim to make it shorter. So like the, the genius of the sale of the hat is how they, they. There's other hats that they would never put you in. They can't just say, oh, you look good in all these hats. No, no, they got to go. If we cut the brim and we use the steam machine and then we can put. And then they get. And then the minute you're talking about initials, as I did, you're in. It's over. And listen, Bezos can afford it, I think. The rustic upstairs space includes a bar and singer and singer Lewis Middleton. Lewis B. Middleton performed crooning covers of hits like the killers of Mr. Brightside and Elton John's Tiny Dancer. It is, I will say this, it is an intoxicating space. It is genius. It is tough to leave there with nothing in your hand. People were singing and dancing, says the spy. Bezos shook the singer's hand and even gave him a tip. Does he? A tip? Here's a tip. Get the Amazon prime account. It'll help you out in the long run. Bezos and Scott have three daughters and one son. They have largely succeeded in keeping him off the public radar. The eldest, Preston, his name is Preston Bezos, was born in 2000. So he's got a 24 year old. Kimosabe is a favorite spot of the Blue Origin founder who's been known to make a grand entrance into the Aspen Staples. Oh my God. They. So he is a regular customer. You're not gonna believe this. If you're just listening and not following, you can go to Page Six and find this article. They have a picture of him riding into Kemo Sabe on a horse and taking and tipping his cap. This is crazy. This is. You can't make this up. In 2018, Page Six reported that Bezos rode a Texas quarter horse named Bean, who belongs to the store's founder, Tom Yoder. So he is in on this store. Through the doors and into the store. After he saw the fly hitched, the filly hitched outside. Jeff got on the horse and rode it in. A spy told us at the time. Customers loved it. He's good. He's good on a horse, the Billy. I guess with enough money you can really do anything. Yeah. What'd you do today? I saw a horse outside of Kimo Sabe. I said, you know what? Let me hop on this thing and ride it into a store. Did they arrest you? No. I'm Jeff Bezos. I have a billion dollars. Man, what a great page Six story. That made me so happy. Okay, so let's do this one. Rihanna. Rihanna reveals she didn't drink all year as she rings in 2025 New Year, New Me. Rihanna revealed she abstained from alcohol for 12 months while celebrating New Year's Eve with friends Tuesday night. Well, good for Rihanna, first of all. Second of all, kind of cool that that wasn't, like, a story good for Rihanna. And again, I'm not saying it just seems that is a healthier way to go to be like, I'm just gonna do this, and let's see how it goes. And I don't have to bother with someone, like, with. With having to be the spokesperson for sobriety. I'm sure someone would put that on Rihanna, y'all, I didn't drink all year. I didn't drink all year. And it seems like she's, like, sitting there going, good for it to me. Listen, I don't know her issues with alcohol. I have my own thing with alcohol. I. I'd like to drink less myself to. To the way you're saying it, y'all, I didn't drink all year. I didn't drink all year. It's like, oh, let's see if I can do it. And then she did it. Good for her. Singer proudly declared in an Instagram video after counting down to midnight. That's cool. Rihanna, 36, captioned the post new Year, new me in the comments section. Fans joined the billionaire Fenty Beauty founder in commemorating the milestone, while others trolled her over another year passing by without a new album. The Internet is the worst. That's why you don't put it out there. You know, you go, oh, Rihanna, why didn't you tell people that you're going through the sobriety journey? It could have helped so many people. Because it wouldn't have helped me. I probably wouldn't. You know, I think it would have made telling people would have made it harder rather than easier. Why do you think that? Well, when I announced that I'd been a year sober, people trolled me because I didn't put out an album. You know, maybe she was working on other things, like herself. New year old albums, one follower wrote, while another joke. I thought it was the countdown for the album drop. Oh, my God. Rihanna Enjoyed a low key celebration this year as she appeared to be wearing a gray bathrobe in a New York City hotel room while watching the ball drop in Times Square via live stream on her iPhone. In addition to pals, the nine time Grammy winner rang in 2025 with her boyfriend ASAP Rocky, with whom she shares two sons, two year old RZA and one year old Riot. And they show a picture with her and the kids. Good for Rihanna. I like the idea that she was able to do this. It seems laid back. It's not, you know, there, there is money to be made. Again, going towards cynical Jared mode in announcing something like that. And I'm teaming up with whatever to go on my sobriety journey. You know, people do that. I mean, Rihanna's a billionaire. She doesn't have to. But no, you know, there's a lot of people that don't have to do things that end up doing these things. Let's do oh. So trending now. Section this story. 50 Cent loss over Danielle Fishel after meeting in Las Vegas. She's gonna be fine forever. Now 50 Cent has taken this like, kind of turn into like truth sayer. Like I guess he never got involved with like a bunch of the people who are now getting in trouble. And he's, he, he had been outspoken over the years 50 Cent, but now he is, he's kind of going the route of like a Charles Barkley a little bit. 50 Cent thirsted over boy Meets World alum Daniel Fishel after the unexpected duo connected at a meet and greet at the rapper's Planet Hollywood resort and casino residency in Las Vegas. I have to say, it is so interesting that Topanga, it is funny that like, you find out like Topanga was my boyhood crush as well. You find out like we're all just, and I say this on the podcast a lot. Like we're all the center part of the bell curve. Like we're all within 10 of each other. And I know I'm right. It's stuff like this. Like 50 Cent and I were both like, you know, crushing. I mean, he's 49, so he's older, so maybe not, but he's even. I, I see her now and I'm still like, whoa, beautiful. I'm like, you know, back to my, you know, 13 year old crush self. She's 43, so she's around my age. And you go, what a, what a weird world it is that like so many people had the Topanga crush. And in my mind I was like, oh my God, I'M the only one who on earth who could see the beauty in this person. And it's like we're all sitting there the same. So when I say like, oh, this person is acting this certain way, like over text or in dating, I'm always like, yeah, here's what I would do. So you the person you're dealing with is 10% away from me. The person you're dealing with probably had a crush on Topanga, too. The in the Club. Okay, the in the club artist, 49, was seen posting with Fischl, 43, at an event. In a photo posted to his Instagram Tuesday, Daniel Fishel just said, fuck it, she's gonna be fine forever. He captioned the post, adding, happy New Year's Eve Vegas vibes. And then it's them in a picture. And she is cute. She looks great. They, they, they look like they're dating. The actress fangirled over the hip hop star by reacting in the comments section of his post. I had the best time. Thanks for putting on such an amazing show. You were the perfect way to end 2020 4G unit forever, she commented. Fischl, known for portraying Topanga Lawrence in the 90s sitcom, also shared a snap of their encounter to her own Instagram and then ended 2024 in the best way in Las Vegas, watching 50 Cent put on an absolutely incredible show at PH Vegas with tons of special guests. You captioned the post. My mind was blown and I danced and sang the entire night. Yeah, we're all like in the age group of this music being like nostalgic and fun. And she continued special thank you to so she's thanking people. Fishel was also seen embracing the rapper enthusiastically with a big hug and a video circulating on social media. It's like we're all just the same. Fans were over the moon and flooded Instagram to rave over the adorable meetup. Never thought I would see two of my favorite childhood celebs in one photo. One person cheered in the comments section of her post. This is top tier of Fangosh. Damn. Two icons right here. Fire emoji. Yeah, Topanga, my childhood crush, a netizen said, with another adding, topanga's been and will always be cute. Like this is again, we're all the same. The Boy Meets World star married Jensen Karp. She married this guy in 2018 and together they share two kids. Good for them. Yeah. I mean, this guy must walk around being like, yeah, I'm married to Topanga and people must go. And like every man alive of a certain age Must go. I had the biggest crush on her. Meanwhile, 50 is seemingly still single after he and his now ex girlfriend Jamira Cuban Link Haynes reportedly called it quits in March. The power producer confirmed his single status last January when he announced that he would be practicing abstinence in 2024. Good for 50. He went the other direction. Rihanna's like did it. Perhaps he's planning on backtracking now that he the New Year's afoot. Page Six is the best. I mean, to write that in the article is crazy. Okay, Diplo stuns Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper as he admits to tripping on LSD during Now. Okay, so last night was New Year's Eve. The Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper thing is fun. They get drunk, they hang out. It's a hang. It is loose. And I guess, you know what's fun about them being loose is something like this where, like, it invites someone to just say weird things to keep up. That's what happens. That's why so many things come out of this. Like there are, there are quotes every year that you're like, that person said what? Diplo was tripping on LSD While appearing on CNN's live New Year's Eve broadcast Tuesday night. I mean, like that title alone, you go, right? And then you what is the trend? The trend is these two are known for getting drunk. So you're gonna go on as a guest? Well, I get to be a little bit wild and loopy. The DJ 46 stunned the show's co host Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper as he made the admission during the virtual interview from Los Angeles ahead of his performance at the so he's about to perform, he's about to go to work, he's on LSD at the historic AV Hollywood nightclub. I'm so curious, what's the most conventional place that you've done lsd? I mean, Cohen asked. Cohen asked him that, who hesitated for only a second before chuckling and replying, right now. I did some on the helicopter on the way here. Why do you ask that question? He must have a knowledge that he's an LSD guy. The Watch what Happens Live with Andy Cohen host 56, shouted right now. While Cooper 57, doubled over with laughter from Times Square in New York City. Oh my God. Hold on, hold on, hold on. Cohen said as the political commenter began choking from cackling so hard. I'm not even lying. Diplo chimed in. I'm fucked up right now. Look at they're showing them taking shot. He and Cohen took shots throughout Their broadcast. That is the fun of this. It is so funny. If you presented this. If you. It is interesting to me as someone who is, like, gone into meetings with people and been like, hey, let's do this, or let's do that for TV purposes. And they're like, well, that would be too mean. Like, I once had the idea, and it actually ended up getting taken. I'm not gonna get into that. But I. There was an idea. And again, I'm probably not the only one to have this idea. It's the right connections, the right relationships. To go back to what I was saying with the. The Royals, but I was saying that there should be a game show where people play to win. Win their college debt. And it would be like Jeopardy. And the three people that were competing would have the same major. And all the questions would be specific to that major. So if they were chem majors, would be a chem test. The whole thing would be chem Jeopardy. The idea being, let's see how much your education was worth. And you would. The winner would have theirs. Their. Their college debt paid, and we would know the number, and it'd be in front. And instead of the money going up, it would Dr. Draw down from your college debt. So you could, like, leave there having paid off a percentage or all of it in full. And they would, like. The feedback was like, this is too mean. This is. This is. And I'm like, mean. You're helping me with debt. And I, like, brought in, like, percentages. This is the amount of people in America who deal with this. It was meant to be a fun game show. I was actually brought into TruTV to talk to them about ideas. And then they ended up doing something like this with within, you know, a year of me presenting this to the person. And that annoyed me again, as I said, I'm not gonna get into it. That all being said, if you were to say, hey, we're gonna have two gay men report, get drunk in Times Square and interview celebrity guests throughout the night, I don't think anyone would, like, be like, oh, of course. That sounds like fun. It is fun to me. That's fun. That's great tv. Someone, producers and other people who would want to get involved, they were like, no, it's too much. Who could handle this? No, we. You know, what will people say? We? And it's like, just do it. Just. I mean, this. The reason this is, like, fun and successful gets reported on is because it's loose and natural and you have two guys who are close friends and they're a little out there. They're gonna ask the weird questions. They have connections to people like Diplo to go, hey, are you on it? When's the last time you did lsd? And you're getting that and it's like, what a wonderful event. But I don't know if it would be allowed if you presented it. It only gets allowed in retrospect. It's like, ask for forgiveness, not for permission. Is like kind of the rule of thumb. Oh, we're gonna have Andy Cohen and. And. And what? How am I forgetting his name? Anderson Cooper do New Year's on cnn. You go, great. Put them in a suit. We'll have a nice time. They'll have guests. And then it's like. And then Andy Cooper and. Or Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper are like, should we do a couple shots on the air? And someone's like, well, don't do that. And someone might get mad. And then they do it and you go, this becomes the shtick. Clearly in shock, the Bravo executive producer clarified, you're tripping right now. Yeah. The music producer nonchalantly responded. Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wellesley. Thomas Wesley Pence. That's his name, explained that it was a light trip because he had been microdosing the psychedelic drug, though he might have macrodosed earlier in the day. That means he's fucked up. After the off the rails interview, Cohen told Cooper, he admitted their guests. He admired their guests honesty. I was. I wish I was Diplo. I've got to say, he shared. I just. I just think he has a fun, cool lifestyle. Can you imagine his lifestyle? I'm Diplo. I do things. The Anderson Cooper 360 host, for his part, joked he has a boring life compared to Diplos. Before warning viewers. We don't recommend this at home. See, that's fun. We don't recommend this at home. These are adults having an adult night. What will the children think? We'll do one more because I'm gonna go to the beach and get some sun. But this was fun. We can. We already did Brad Pitt. There's a Lisa Rinna. Okay, let's do the Lisa Rinna and then we're out of here. Lisa Rinna 60. I have no knowledge of Lisa Rinna, by the way. I know her as Lisa Rinna. Bravo, Liberty Page Six headline. I guess I would know her as, like. I guess first thing that comes to mind is like, plastic surgery. Because she was kind of early on, like, being open and honest about that in my mind. But I Could be wrong. Lisa Rinna, 61, leaves nothing to the imagination. And shocking New Year's Eve selfie at spa. Oh, my God, look at this. She put this online. It's. I mean, she's basically. She's topless. Rinna and Rena ing the new year, Lisa Rinna shared a risque photo without any clothing to celebrate New Year's Eve on Tuesday, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum posted the mirror selfie on her Instagram story. With only two star emojis covering her chest and a 2025 gold fireworks sticker barely blocking her lower region. This is as naked as online gets. And listen, I will say. And it says, out with the old, in with the new. Okay. She looks Unbelievable. She's 61. I mean, that's crazy. Yeah, 61. The picture is wild. If your mom did it, you wouldn't be happy. And this is the thing. We don't start here. Lisa Rinna isn't like interviewing people at a news desk and then suddenly this happens. That's a different story. Again, I said in the beginning of this, I go, what's my knowledge of her? She was up front about plastic surgery. She was early on that she's so looks and body culture and all that stuff being ahead of it, that has been her thing. This is like. Well, then they show her. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum have never shied away from flaunting her body yet. Like, this is like her thing. And, you know, it is funny. It's like, it's a little bit like microdosing lsd. You start with like a little and you go, okay, I've never done lsd, but I'm saying with any micro of anything. Oh, oh. Whoa. Got a reaction. Whoa. I felt a high. Let me do a little bit more. Let me do a little bit more. I think this is her version of, like, macro dosing, like, like upping the ante. Rinna, 61, appeared to have taken the snap before getting a massage as she posted near a white table with fresh sheets and pillows on top. How with the old, in with the new. She captured the poll post. The former Bravo Liberty celebrated the holiday with her husband, Harry Hamlin. Yeah, and he's. They're out there. And two daughters, Delilah Bell Hamlin and Amelia Gray Hamlin at a tropical destination. They show a picture of the family. They are all tall. They all have. They're like elm trees of people. Slender, thin. Delilah and Amelia, 26 and 23, posted silly videos of their mom eating cake and their dad 73 playing, holding up two middle fingers. I think I watched the video of the dad. He like, takes the bus to like the studio every day in a, in a. In a way to like, help the environment or like to make an example. I don't know. The family, like, lives in the land of like, strange. To me, in Hollywood, the alum is the Days of Our Lives. Alum is no stranger to ushering in the new year by posting pre massage mirror selfie and even shared a similar photo with different emojis last December. Oh, so she. This is what she does. I mean, the pictures of her are like. You go. It would. Every picture of her that they show is. Would be followed by a daughter going, mom, fuck the 60s, I'm coming in hot. She captured the end of the script. Oh, so Rinna's. I skipped ahead. Rinna's stripped selfies may not come as a surprise to her fans, as she has never been one to shy away from showing off her fit figure. Most recently, she celebrated her 61st birthday in July by sharing a mirror selfie without clothes, with strategically placed star emojis and a black box. So she's. This is what she does. Fuck the 60s, I'm coming in hot. She captured the Instagram story at the time. The reality star explained to Cosmo in January 2024 that she post the photos because she no longer gives a shit about what people think about her. I don't know if people, again, like, I don't know who these quote unquote people are. I've gotten to the place where I think we all invent these, like, haters because it's much more fun to be the Mighty Ducks than it is to be the Hawks. Like, we want to believe we worked our way through and prevailed. You know, that is something I think is just such a human need. I get that. We don't want to act like anything was given to us. So she wants to post to like, she can't just post because she likes her body, which I think would be okay, but to her it has to be a state. I'm so much more confident than I was at 30. Yeah, I guess. She told the magazine, I love this age because I'm freer, more confident, more passionate than I've ever been. And then people write to her, they go, you, thank you. You doing that made me leave the house in the dress I never thought I'd wear, which I'm sure is fulfilling for her. Everything that I've gone through has brought me to this point where I do not give fucking care. I mean, gone through. I'm sure she's gone through things. I'm not saying she hasn't. I am saying that the things she's gone through, like she has been in Hollywood since days of her life. She's been like, I don't know. I don't know if you're. Listen, I'm gonna go to the beach right now on New Year's Day. I can't sit here and be like, oh, my God. All the things I fought through, I fought through, you know, not being able to check in early in my Ritz Hotel room. Like, again, like, I don't know if you. I don't know. I get why she does it. It is. I could see how someone would be annoyed. Me, I. I'm not annoyed. Good for Lisa. All right, Pop Culture Thursday back next week. Boom.
