You're a nosy. You want the full sitch? Come to Pop Culture Thursday. Hello and welcome to the J Train podcast. This is J Train Jared Freed coming alive from Manhattan, New York. That's right. Every Thursday is a Pop Culture Thursday, where me, the comedian goes over stories from the week. I usually go to Page Six. I go over pop culture stories, we read and we riff. That's the show. Do a few stories. This is a 20 minute promise daily. We usually go over. It usually hits a half hour. I have one ad, a couple announcements, that's it. Then we'll get into the show. Because I have an article right in front of me. I mean, the first article, barbra Streisand makes wild Sex confession about Warren Beatty. I mean, I'm clicking that. I want to know what these people are saying. Now, it will be disappointing if it's not a wild sex, you know, confession. But I, I, you know, with my knowledge of Page Six, it never is. It's never something, you know, what could it be? And we had this before. We had this with Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa. Oh, they tell us what they do when the kids are outta the house and we're like, it's one of those articles you're embarrassed. You're embarrassed to click on it. That's my going opinion. Barbara Streisand doubled down on her cheeky confession about her longtime friend Warren Beatty. And here's the thing. These are two elders, these are two older people. And I mean, what's she going to say? I used to suck his dick every night? Like, they're not going to say that. After admitting she couldn't recall if they had sex in her 2023 memoir, My Name Is Barbara, to me, that tells me that's a bad ad for the memoir saying, I couldn't remember. And so that is how famous Barbra Streisand is. She's like, I'm going to put out a book where a huge detail of it is that I'm friends with Warren Beatty, a heartthrob from my era. And did we have sex? I don't remember. That's the chapter. Like, to me that means it can't be a good book. If that's the story we're telling from the book. I would feel, you know, you have to be quite a Barbra Streisand fan. I guess that means Barbara really thinks she can sell anything to her fans. I know I slept in bed with him because. But I can't remember if we actually had penetration Just the fact that she's saying the word penetration is a fun Page Six story. It's not a book like, I. I. Penetration. I didn't have that, you know, on my list of things that were gonna happen today, Barbra Streisand saying the word penetration. Like, if I was in an interview with her, and I'm like, hey, so what happened with Warren Beatty? And she's like, I don't know. If there was penetration, I'd be like, got the story. We got it. Barbra Streisand said, penetration. That's all we need. Fluff it up. That's probably how they make the book, now that I think about it. They go, she's willing to talk about that. She was in bed with Warren baby Warren Beatty, and doesn't remember if they had sex or not. Yeah, that's a book I. Right now, I've gone back against. I. I get why the book was made. I don't get why someone would buy it. But Barbra Streisand's one of those people that you go, when you hear a fan talk about her, they talk about her in ways that are like, wow, you guys were really into this woman. I. I think at some point, Taylor Swift will be that to other generations. They'll go, yeah, they really talk about her in a way that is, like, obsessed. The funny star. The funny girl star admitted in an interview with the New Yorker published Saturday. I swear to God, I can't. There are certain things I block. That means she remembers. I mean, you don't just say that after Interviewer called bullshit on Streisand's claim, the singer insisted. I can't remember. I mean, to me, if you're. If you remember being in bed with each other and there was kissing, I don't know, who am I to say the way we were? Actress 83. She's 83. Still talking about whether she. They didn't even get married. They never. This is how much she's done. 83 added. But I know we're still friends. Every year on my birthday, he calls me and we have a wonder. Talk about our lives, our children and so forth. So we're still friends. I met him when I was 15 years old, and he was 21. I think, look at that. She remembers. She's like, yeah, I think I was 15, he was 21. Did we have sex? I don't know. Was there penetration? Then they show Warren Beatty. Like, reps for Beatty, 88, weren't immediately available to Page Six for comment. Oh, you. You didn't get through to Warren Beatty about whether he had any penetration with, you know, Barbara Streisand with Babs. Streisand mentioned the Red Star in her memoir, writing about how they met at 16 and 21, respectively, while working at Connecticut's Clinton Playhouse. She described Beatty as tall with movie star looks, saying that women were already falling at his feet. According to People, they show young pictures of them both. Both of them striking. The mirror has two faces. Star also recalled her inner book being asked by Playboy in 1977 whether she and the actor were romantically linked. I said blithely, one of. One of my flings, she wrote. I was just tossing off a reply. Playing the role of a jaded woman of the world. I mean, if I'm more. And I'm like, did you have to be jaded? Couldn't we just be friends then, too? Streisand, meanwhile, has been married to James Brolin since 1998. They share no kids together. As for Beatty, he wed Annette Benning in 1999, 1992. The couple are parents to Stephen Ira Beatty, Benjamin Beatty and Isabel Beatty, who are 33, 30 and 28. That must be fun for the. And Ella Beatty, 25. That must be fun for the four kids. Hey, your dad's in the news. Yeah. Barbara saying she couldn't remember whether she was penetrated by him. Sounds like the family was as well. All right, let's go to another story. Lindsay Hubbard reveals her future on Summer House after welcoming baby girl Gemma. Now here's my thing with Summer House. I've never, I've seen clips from the show. I understand that there's a whole Summer House world. To me, the whole premise of this show was here's what it's like for New York City. People who are working and huffing it in the streets, who live a good lifestyle and are young, who go out to the Hamptons in the summer and share a house. This is, this is what they were trying to replicate. And at some point Summer House was going through cast people and liked people, didn't like people and they found kind of a secret sauce or a group that has worked. And to me, I, I think the premise is gone. Like to me, if, if I have a baby and I'm doing a summer share house with some 20 year olds, I am not doing well. I'm not the dream, I'm not replicating what it was meant to replicate. That's my point. So to me, you have a baby with your husband, time to go. You know, we gonna do our own things. We have in laws we have to stay with. I just to me, if a reality show is supposed to replicate reality, there's no reality in this new mom. Lindsay Hubbard isn't going. Of course she's not, she can't. She's probably trying to pitch another show about her and her new baby and her new life and everyone's like, we don't know. That's not a guaranteed hit. How about you stay on this show that is a hit and that people watch on a weekly basis? The summer house OG announced via Instagram Tuesday that she will be returning for season 10 of the Bravo reality show, which will begin filming early next month. So she's gonna go on with a baby. So they're gonna be at events and she's gonna be holding a baby. Listen, I'm not saying motherhood, fatherhood. I'm not saying having a kid just takes you out of things. I'm saying we watch these shows to say what we would do. I guess if you're a huge Lindsay Hubbard fan. I don't know her well. Bffr. Of course I'm coming back. What is. But for real. For real. But what is bffr? I'm sorry, I have. I'm an old man again. I'm older. I'm around the same age as Lindsay Hubbard. I don't know what BFFR is, but fucking for real, okay. But for real. Of course I'm coming back this summer. Hubbard, 38, captioned photos and videos from season nine, during which she was pregnant with her first child. So she was on the season pregnant. I guess the season's going well because they're like, yeah. So here's the picture of her pregnant in a cowboy hat, going to a big day party, you know, just like your friends do in the house they share with other people. Like, yeah, you know, one of the girls in the house is pregnant and one of the guys, you know, he's 25 and trying to figure out his life and hooks up on weekends. Like, I don't know, it's just. Listen, I'm not, I wasn't in on the show, so that's. I don't have the I again, I can follow how you get here. It's just from an outsider, you go, this isn't what. How a summer house works. I don't know. One pregnant woman, one woman with a baby who would want to share a house with anybody? It's just going to look different for me since I'm a whole ass mom now. Is this how she talks? A whole ass mom? I. I don't know. I guess if my words were put into they'd be like, is he thinking, does he know he's 40? But like, but for. For real, I'm coming back. What she made sure to note going on to add the hashtags, hashtag summerhouse and hashtag send it. She's coming in cocky. The Bravo Liberty gave birth to her baby girl, six month old Gemma, in December 2024. During the season nine reunion with which aired earlier this month. Hubbard revealed that she and her daughter's father, Turner K. Had broken up. So now she's coming to the Hamptons to. I, I listen, wasn't she with, isn't this the woman that was with Carl then had a baby right after they broke up? I, I listen, there's a lot going on for Lindsay. There's a lot of us, there's a lot for us to figure out when it comes to parenting, co parenting, my lifestyle, me being public, him being private. It's so, it's too much at once. She explained to her co stars and the viewers at home, dad is private, mom is public. And what does the baby, what does that make make baby? Oh, my God. I, I don't know. This is one of those things that if you have an opinion on it, someone who's also a mother comes and like can cut you at the knees. They go, oh, you don't get it. And it's like, I don't get it. I don't get this whole thing. You know, I understand this is where the money gets made follow. I, I know I do. There's one thing I do get. She makes money from being on this show and this is her job. So of course she's going to come back. I think when you talk about it in this way where it's like, dad's private. Listen, like you have a newborn and you just broke up with a guy you had the baby with, it's got to be difficult. I feel for you, it's hard when you're public and you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube. That's the most honest quote. That's her saying, I have to go on this show to pay my rent and care for my child, Hubbard. And that's the scary part about this whole social media influencer thing. It's like there's no tangibility, there's no actual thing that you sell except yourself. And it's, I think you see this with Tick Tockers dealing with this. Like, where do you go? You know, I go to Manchester, Connecticut this weekend and do four shows with a skill I've honed. If there's no skill and the only thing you do is just put yourself out there and people kind of like lap that up because it's escapism and they get to watch you in the summer house at. So I mean, is she going to be with a 14 year old living with the whole crew? Like I, you know, when does this end? Hub Urban, the biotech investor who briefly dated in 2020 reconnected in January 2024, just five months after she and her co star Carl Radley Radke called off their wedding. Man, Carl got a lot of. But like if you're choosing the post breakup, you know, life, I'm going Carl looks ridiculous in the house too. Don't, don't get me wrong. This isn't me saying. And here's him. They show the guy, he looks like he's just some dude on Wall Street. A few months into the relationship Hubbard and Koof conceived. Gemma, the former publicist will join fellow OG Kyle Cook and his wife Amanda Batula, who recently spilled to page six. They will be back for season 10. I mean this is a little bit the alumni hanging around the high school cuz they didn't go to college. Fan favorite fa. Fan favorite Paige desorbo. A newcomer, Lexi Wood have exited the series. Man, Paige. Paige who? I mean what angel did she give a hand job to to get this like fishy they write about? Oh yeah, Lindsay and her kid are gonna go live in the house cause she has to make money and so is Kyle and Amanda. They're gonna be back too cuz where else are they gonna go? And fan favorite Paige DeSantbo is off to be a pajama billionaire. Like the roads are just so different. Let's do another story. I mean we're, we're deep in this. Okay. This story I'm reading because it is. You click on this headline because you want to know how do billionaires do it? Because here's the thing. Kim Kardashian celebrates daughter North's 12 birthday with epic party in Mexico. I want to know what crazy epic thing is going on at a 12th birthday party. I. And I have no hate for North. I have no hate for Kim. I think Kim is to be watched and to be looked at. Like if you think of like what I just talked about with this like influencer economy, the follower economy, you know, Kim is so big that it'll never be gone. You know, she's got the retirement set up. North's 12 birthday party like is to be shown to keep the views coming in. But she doesn't need it. I, I'm just curious what makes like I don't know if I would want my 12 year old's birthday put out like this. Happy birthday Northwest. But I am curious. I mean we all want to know. There's a show called super sweet 16. We all watched it, we watched it be like what are these rich kids doing their birthday? How does this 12th birthday compare to me doing bumper cars and giving out a goodie bag. Kim Kardashian honored her eldest child turning 12 by throwing an epic party for the preteen and her friends in Los Cabos, Mexico over the weekend. I mean to me a 12 going to Cabo for your birthday is a very 20 20s thing, but okay, 12 year old didn't call the the guest of honor wore a black T shirt, denim shorts, white knock white naki, Nike Nike socks, black sneakers while celebrating on the beach Sunday. Well, I don't. What do we care what they wore? Okay, get us to the birthday. What was in the goodie bag? She completed her look with layered jewelry. North and her pals enjoyed pool time at a massive beach house featuring a volleyball swan, inflatable floats and a slide. As Kardashian, 44, looked on. So she took her daughter and friends on vacation. The residence exterior was decorated with extravagant blue balloon arrangements. I will say this, this looks like a very normal rich person's trip with her daughter and her friends. I think calling this some sort of to me this isn't too much. If I'm to say the group also played in the Santa watch an outdoor movie. While Kardashian has yet post party pics via Instagram, she did share numerous throwback snaps and touching tribute to her and her ex husband Kanye West's eldest child. Cuz I think she became known for throwing these wild birthday parties for Blue Ivy. Is that her name? North? I'm sorry, I got. I get them all confused. While Kardashian has yet to put okay my little baby. North turns 12 years old today. The reality star Road Monday. We are we're looking at pics today together and laughing so hard. You were so small. It's been the most special calling calling being your mom that keeping up with Kardashian and alum continued. I look you, I love you forever and got you forever my bubs. Okay, so they show this to me. This is a non article calling this an epic birthday party. What? You've done a disservice to your nosy page six fan. Kim Kardashian celebrates daughter Norris 12th birthday with epic party. No, no, no. This was a very nice and subtle birthday celebration with their daughter. Not fair to anyone involved. Not fair to Kim, not fair to north, not fair to me who wanted to see a party that he would hate and somehow find a way to feel better than them because I would parent my 12 year old different if I had a billion dollars. Yeah, no, you've done wrong by all of us. Page Six. No, no. Okay. This one I thought was an interesting headline because Jason Isaacs, who's, you know, he was in the Harry Potter movie. So this guy is like, a pretty big deal. But he was also in White Lotus, so he must be on the rounds to. To like, promote a movie he's in because he's been making a lot of headlines. Jason Isaacs says global icon star. Jason Isaacs says Jason. That's hard to say. Jason Isaacs says global icons co star was the worst bully ever in candid interview. Never seen anything like it. I don't know who global icon is. What is that? Jason Isaacs revealed that one of his global icon costars was the worst bully ever in. Anytime you put bully in a headline for Page Six, you're getting clicks. This is already one of the top articles that's out. We love a bully story. We love someone telling. This is gossip at its highest degree. Adults getting bullied by other adults. The word. That's why it's hard to trust. Like a bullying tale. To me, you get a lot of mileage out of the word. So if you use it, I'm like, okay, what do you consider bullying? I know what I consider bullying, and I know that as an adult, it would be hard for me to call anything bullying. If someone was mean to me, I'd be like, that guy's an asshole. I would be like, I was bullied today. Because when you say bullied, you are looking to be the victim to be sympathized with. In my opinion. I think it's a Weaponized views of words. The White Lotus star when used by adults. Listen, children can be bullied, but two adults? That implies that you weren't able to defend yourself to children, that someone could be a bigger kid. The White Lotus star recalled a prominent actor pushing him out of a shot in a candid interview with Vulture published Monday. Oh, Jesus. Did. Did worse than that. The actor remembered the unnamed A Lister did all the old tricks of doing a completely different performance off camera than on Isaac62 claimed. Okay, so he's not naming the person. Yeah, it sucked. I'd never seen anything like it. He continued, before I would have licked the ground that this person walked on. So basically he's saying there's an A Lister who was mean to me. He didn't use the word bully yet. So that could be Page Six's words. Which kind of. Which in. In kind of backs me up on the word bully being used as weaponized. Because Page Six only wants clicks Ooh, that's a, that's a good. Page Six only wants clicks. Page six only wants clicks. Okay. Isaacs, who did not identify the thespian in question, has started numerous high profile projects, including Armageddon with Ben Affleck. Yeah, he was the, he was like the, the real astronaut. The Patriot with Mel Gibson. He was the bad guy. He's good. Black Hawk Down. I never really saw that movie. Fury with Brad Pitt, most notably the Harry Potter franchise. The actor even AD admitted many of his co stars have been bonkers. No, we want to hear about the one that was mean to you. When I think someone's terrible, someone else might think they're brilliant. One of the things that's very charismatic is madness. He told the outlet. Interesting. He is right. When, when someone can act like a fool, when someone is like an artist, when someone's crazy, people think and they're good at something in the arts, they go, they're a genius. When someone. So especially good artists get a lot of leeway. Isaac clarified that he mostly judges on set. This is a weird quote. Isaac clarified that what he mostly judges on set is bad behavior. He said it's selfishness, cruelty, bullying. There's bullying or people complaining to the person who's getting him dressed. Who, who doesn't get in a year what they earn in a day to pick their filthy underwear off the floor. So basically Jason Isaacs, he must be beloved or he's getting out ahead to say these things. You must really care about everyone on set because he's basically saying what makes someone a bad. He's, he's basically. He only judges people based on their on set behavior. So if they treat the makeup person, the stylist with, with no respect, they, he doesn't respect them, which I think all of us would agree. Isaac's also noticed when actors don't show up, leave work to go home early, do drugs, call prostitutes to their trailer, he's seen it all. This guy, I mean he must be quite a professional. I come across all that stuff he shared. Isaac said he would not name any names because there is no value. Well, the, the difficult part that Isaac's. What Isaacs is doing because I do think there was like a lot of, there was a lot of stories about how great he was and how he became a family with his on screen White Lotus family. So we kind of trust his word. But what he's doing is saying, hey, any newspaper person, you know, page six, just go to my IMDb and look at my co stars. And now we have to just assume there was some bad apples in the bunch. There's no value other than masochism and sabotage and telling people the truth about people I've worked with or experiences I've had. Well, you have kind of cast a shadow on every movie you've ever been in. He concluded. Acting is all about secrets. Well, well, you just told us something that we could investigate. And you've made the lives of everyone you've done movies with in the past harder. Elsewhere in the interview, Isaac spoke about the very low paycheck of 40,000 per episode that he and his co stars received for working on season three of the White Lotus. That, to me, is interesting. 40,000 to do this show. That's how big a show it is. Generally, actors don't talk about pay in public because it's ridiculously disproportionate to what we do. Putting on makeup and funny voices and just upsets the public, he said. But compared to what people normally get paid for big television shows, that's a very low price. However, the Golden Globe nominee acknowledged the fact is we would have paid to be in it. We probably would have given a body part. Yeah, that's the thing. To me, Jason Isaacs is smarter than he's putting on. He's basically saying, hey, everybody, that thinks I made a billion dollars from being on this show. I did not. I made 40,000, which is below what I think everyone thinks I should be paid. So please hire me and know that I want to be making money on my next gig. I. And listen, that is the trade off of exposure. When you do stand up, a lot of times they'll say to you, yeah, do this thing. It can expose you to this bigger crowd. Hey, do my podcast. You get to have the platform of being on this bigger show. That's why you make time to be a guest on a podcast. You see that it can maybe get you a new fan, a new follower, a new ticket buyer. So I get what he's saying. Oh, we all did a show for below the normal pay. Like, you know, to me, this is more he. He's doing this for a reason. I don't think Jason Isaacs. To me, Jason Isaacs is not some sort of, like, he's playing a little bit. It's annoying to me. He's playing the. I'm the insider. I'm going to tell you everything. Oh, I was bullied. There's some horrific people in Hollywood. Oh, really? Who are they? Actors are paid to keep secrets. That's what we do. Okay, well, we only made 40,000, but I would have done it anyways. I would have given a body part. But just know that I wasn't paid that much, and you gotta pay me. I think this guy's a genius. I think this guy is not Mr. Nice Guy that he's playing right now. He's. He's acting right now. Now this article, I have to say, I think there's certain people, you just want to know who they're dating. Jason Siegel is a guy. I want to know, who's he dating? Jason Siegel and girlfriend Kyla Radomski. That can't be the way you say it. Radomski. Jason Siegel and girlfriend Kyla Radomski, engaged after two years of dating. Report. Okay, I don't keep up. This is an article where I see the headline and I go, I just want to know who he's dating. I didn't even know Jason Siegel had a girlfriend. To me, he could have been married 10 years and this article could have been about his kids. I wouldn't have cared about it, but I wouldn't have been like, whoa, Jason Siegel has kids? I. It could have gone either way. I do want to know who he's dating, how tall she is. It's one of those things. There's certain people, because I like Jason Siegel. He's a guy that when he's in something, I'm in. He was great. And How I met your mother. I think he's great. He was great. The movie with the puppets where he gets dumped, forgetting Sarah Marshall. Jason Siegel put a ring on it. The How I Met yout Mother alum is engaged to his girlfriend of two years, professional dancer and actress Kayla Radomski. The Daily mail reports. Siegel, 45. All right. Late in life, guy proposed to Radomski. A guy you never really heard about. The comings and goings of dating. Wise proposed to Radomski, 34, at the Huntington Library's Rose Garden in San Marino, California, on Monday evening. According to the outlet, they had a private dinner in the Rose Garden. She's beautiful. He's a good looking dude who doesn't really get the good looking credit. He's got height. To me, this is the example of how height really makes you a better looking dude. Because him in a shorter man's body, it wouldn't work. But he's got. He's got legs. They show a picture of him. He's got looks. The happy couple. He's one of those. He's one of those. His look is underrated and subtle. Which I appreciate. The happy couple was reported reportedly emotional and gracious to the staff who helped make the engagement special. Rapture. Siegel didn't immediately return Page Six requests for comment.
