Jared Freed
You're a nosy bitch. You want the full sitch? Come to Pop Culture Thursday. Hello and welcome to the jtrain podcast. This is J Train Jared Freed coming to you live from London, England. That's right, every Thursday is a Pop Culture Thursday, where me, the comedian, podcaster, clown extraordinaire, goes to Page Six. I find headlines that I find interesting, and then we riff. That's the show. To me, this is the perfect podcast for putting your brain on the shelf. I'm going to go to some light and airy stories and we're just going to gab. So what I want you to do is to enjoy the show. I want you to enjoy. I want you to like it in whatever way. You can share it with a friend. Tell a friend, if it's a story that maybe thought was funny and you've already talked about it with a friend, share it with them. So we want you to pass around this podcast. I want you to, you know, kind of slip it to someone you love. So, because everyone needs a moment to put their brain on the shelf, I got stories in front of me. We start with the Taylor Swift story. The sponsor this week is Caldera Lab. I've referenced them on both the Monday and Tuesday episodes. Go support them. The link is in the bio of the show. Great skincare for men. Great gift for the guy in your life or for yourself. And then I'm also going to reference my shows. I am going heavy on the road. I'm here in London doing a show, and then I come back and the Table for One tour starts. Stanford, Connecticut. Spokane, Washington. Bloomington, Indiana. I mean, it is all over the country. Houston, Dallas, New York, Boston, Fort Lauderdale. I've released a full, full schedule, and I need the people listening here most of all to assemble the group chat. So I'm putting together a new hour. It's. It's coming along. I think it's funny. I think if you're listening to Cough with J Train, you're hearing the. The. The tries and tribs of putting together a new hour. When, you know, the last one I had, I really loved. I really love doing it. I loved the response I got from people. The. The family plan is taped. We have edited it. I'm hoping gonna get sold. It is done as of today. Ish. So that's happening. And then the other thing is, I'm in London. I'm staying at the Boatree Hotel. It is a luxury place. If you go Google it, if you go listen, I go look up. If someone mentions a hotel, they're at, I go, look it up. This was all put together and I want you to go check this out. I'll be putting it on my socials. It's called Wanderlux by Skylark. They reached out to me, they're like, hey, we have a new thing that we're putting together, basically last minute travel. Within 30 days they're going to find you luxury hotels they work with. At 40% off, you can get a hotel like the one I'm staying in, which is unbelievable. Like I got here. It's the type of hotel when you check in, they have you sit down and then they can bring you any drink you like. It's not like, hey, here's your water, dumpy. They're not like tossing a bottle of water at you. They're like, still are flat or no stuff flat. Those are the same still or sparkling, you know, and you're like, oh, really? And then like, you're like, how about a coffee? And they go, oh, of course. Would you like coffee? Creamer sugar? You know, like this was like a full on event checking in. So it's called Wanderlux by Skylark. If you look up Skylark and it's a members only thing that you don't have to pay to get on the member list, but there's a waiting list. It's a whole thing that I will say to you at one point you'll go, I'm pretty happy I signed up for this. I'm involved with them and they helped me get this hotel room. So I'm just going to give them a little bit of plug city to start us off. Taylor Swift performs live for the first time since reclaiming her Masters at Nashville gig hosted by Travis Kelce. Now, if you buy the ticket for the gig where the host is Travis Kelce in Nashville, you're kind of hoping, I think, well, this is the thing with the Kelsey brothers, this idea that they are podcast geniuses. It's like, well, they have the eyeballs due to being in the universe in the gravitational pull of Taylor Swift, who we often forget. I do think there's like a touch of misogyny with this because she's not spoken like, you know, I, I don't know. That's a strong word. But I'm saying the idea that we don't speak of her in Michael Jackson terms, in terms of Michael Jordan, in terms of Tiger woods, of, in terms of biggest celebrity on the planet is, is a little weird. We're kind of like, oh, Taylor, I don't know. I Know she listen, I'm not saying anyone thinks she's a small deal. It's just the framing with which we speak about her in the media. So I do think that a Travis Kelsey hosted show, they're like, I'm going just for the chance to be around someone who's around Taylor Swift and then if she shows up, oh my God, I've won a lottery of a certain kind. Taylor Swift made a hotly anticipated return to the stage for the first time since buying back her Masters. Like, this is how big a star she is. I understand buying back her masters is a part of her lore, as a part of her storyline, but the idea that we're like, when's the next time she's gonna perform that? After she bought him back? Like, I don't know if this is a real thing. This is like a stat that you just invent. Oh, he has the most rebounds in a Saturday night game since 1982. It's like, okay, you just invented a list that didn't exist seven minutes ago. And wrapping. Well, I think the more important thing is in wrapping up her globally sold out ERAS tour. This is her first performance since the ERAS tour. That is the storyline. But I guess buying back her masters gets put in the headline because that's the messy. That's the drama. 14 time Grammy winner 35 wowed the crowd with a rendition of Shake it Off at the Tight Ends and Friends concert hosted by Travis Kelsey. So there's this thing called tight end. You. And it started as like a, a business trip for people who played the position of tight end. I was in Nashville one year when this was going on. It is the most ridiculous premise that has now become like a real thing. Like at first you're like, oh, that's kind of fun and cute. The all the tight ends get together. But like, there's no reason for tight ends to get together and have this summit more than it would be for the offensive tackles, the D backs, the quarterbacks. The quarterbacks. To me, that's the position where they are like CEOs. So if they got together for some sort of conference, you would go, oh yeah, the CEOs are doing like a business tips trip. Best practices. The tight ends getting together to do like a best practices thing. At first you're like funny, hilarious, cute. And now it has evolved out into this real life weekend that actually is sponsored by Bud Light. Like, I'm not even making that up. They are getting sponsorship money. This is, this is where it gets enraging. Like the World, the knocking on the door of it all. I'm saying this from a luxury hotel that I got, you know, a, a discount on because I worked with Wanderlux, as I just explained. But I could understand if there's like a comedian out there who wants to perform in London. You know, the, the. The option, the, the ease of it is not easy until it's easy. I was once told that as. As far as getting into doing entertainment, I was told by someone who is more famous than. Than me, by a lot, but just a famous person. And they made the point that once they start paying you, you won't believe what they'll start paying you for. Was basically what I was told. And that is true. You don't get paid for doing the hard work. The, the working on the bits, the, the getting ready. The, you know, Taylor Swift when she was first starting, and now they're paying her to do things that she probably wouldn't want to even get paid for. Like, I'm sure she got some sort of fee to do her boyfriend's tight end you concert. I mean, the fact that there's a Tight Ends and Friends concert hosted by Travis Kelsey is crazy. I remember when this started. Full video of Taylor Swift surprise performance. I mean, that crowd. And again, it's the Tight Ends and Friends. Oh, it's the concert that to me, to me, listen, this is. I'll stop talking about this story in a second because it's not that interesting. The interesting part to me is that there is a guy who traveled to go see the Tight End Conference in Nashville. There is that guy. He's obsessed with football. He's heard of the Tight end Conference. He has a girlfriend, he has a wife, he has a fiance. And she's like, I'll go with you to Nashville. And he's like, happy about that. But he's like, I got. Now I have a job. I want to go to this tight ends thing, but I have to entertain my wife, my girlfriend, my fiance. And then he's like, oh, there's a concert. And she's like, perfect. So now the Tight ends, you know, committee has done him a huge favor. They've made a couple's event at a guy weekend, which is what you want. You want the couples event that exists in. At the guy weekend that you want to be a part of. And then Taylor Swift shows up and that guy literally has been made a billionaire out of his penny stock purchase. Like, he did not plan this. He did not think about this. He didn't even think, oh, you know, maybe Taylor Swift will show up and I'll give my girlfriend the gift of her life. Now he is in. This is to me, this is like buying a lotto ticket, becoming a billionaire in. In credibility to your girlfriend or wife. I. I do think that person exists. That is my feeling. Good for them. The three time super bowl champ founded the event as part of the training camp program Tight end university see which he's holding in music city this week. They've done it in Nashville every year. It appears as though there were many Swifties at the soiree as countless screaming fans couldn't contain their excitement during the cruel summer singer's performance. See, they're so excited that she's just in the room. We were up there having some drinks and we were thinking, how loud can this place get, theoretically? How loud can the singing be in here? She hyped the crowd before revealing. We planned that three minutes ago. Man, what a night. I listen. Underrated win for the boyfriend who brought his girlfriend to tight ends. You week. He was thinking, yeah, we'll do the trip to Nashville. It'll make us all kind of happy. Then Taylor Swift shows winner. Okay, now this story goes into the more serious territory. Going to give a trigger warning. It deals with suicide. I just. But the, the, the title to me, the. This person interests me because they're going to now be in the news seemingly forever. Influencer Candace Miller skips husband Brandon's tombstone unveiling because she's angry over family's financial collapse. Insiders. Okay so that means. That is insiders means for a story like this. Let me start from the beginning. I think this story was a big New York story. It was about this family that's a real estate family where the son had seemingly. Again, I'm speaking out of my ass a little bit. So you're gonna have like the details. You're gonna have to go look up. If you look up a story, it's heartbreaking this. They were spending like the family go. The son takes over for the dad who died suddenly in the real estate business. The business goes to in. In the way that is more complicated than him just blowing a bunch of money because it was real estate. A lot of their. A lot of their. Their equity was in the buildings. The buildings didn't do well. They were loaning out money. They. They did a lot of making money via this loan structure. Again, we are way in the weeds. The guy ends up. Then their lifestyle is kind of highlighted by this woman, Candace Miller. She was kind of a CNBC person in the Hamptons. So now it's got the glitz, the glam the Hamptons. It's got the rich people angle. The what are the. What are the rich people doing? And then he ends up unaliving himself. Is that the way we're supposed to say he ends up. He ends up committing suicide. And he. And it's very sad they have a family but then they go into like her spending, his spending how they were trying to keep up this look they were renting furniture. I think I read that like for hundreds of thousands of dollars. And it's like even when things were not going right he was still borrowing money to keep up a lifestyle. And that and it's just wild to me this woman Candace Miller the influencer and how much we just the influencer world how thin the line is between beloved and just kind of hate watched because it seems like this person people just are ready to not like I because look at how Page Six kind of angles it Influencer Candace Miller like it could have been Widow skips husband's Brandon's tombstone unveiling because she's angry over family's financial collapse like and that's from insiders meeting people in the area that may even not know her just are hearing things because it's a Hampton story. The family of tragic financer Brandon Miller is heartbroken after his widow Candace Miller skipped his tombstone unveiling ceremony over the weekend because insiders say she's angry about their stunning financial collapse. It's the saddest story that you can't stop reading. There'll be movies about this. The real estate broker killed himself last July at their Southampton home as the house of cards that supported their expensive lifestyle began to collapse under the weight of the multi million the multi million dollar debts in various lawsuits at the time A representative for the luxury influencer so she this is the thing. She was a luxury influencer. She was putting their lifestyle out there. Again, there's a very thin line between I'm showing you my life and I'm bragging and it's the thing that and I'm looking at Candace. I don't know how old she is. She's around my age look seemingly and it's. It's very sad but like if you look at Explore more There's three stories about her. Influencer Candace Miller makes shocking social media move Influencer Candace Miller returns to social media with cryptic post nearly a year after her husband died by suicide. Inside Candace Miller's new life and friends in Miami Six months after husband's tragic suicide. Like, this is one of those gossipy stories that it's going to be Joey, but a Fuko, like it's going to be something that we, they were married in 2009 and they show pictures of them on red carpets. Like it's just, it's very sad but also interesting. And they have two young daughters. I, I mean, because it's this whole thing of like, do we want influencers? Do we like them? Sure, you have an audience, but if your audience is just this very specific group and then everyone else just hates you and wants to see your fall. There's a guy on Tik Tok, he comes up all the time and he like, his whole thing is like crushing influencers. And there's a moment where you go, yeah, these are fun. Influencers are fun to make fun of. I, I, I agree. And again, that's why I'm acknowledging the thin line. But there's a point where you go, okay, like it's, the joke is over. I, I don't know. It's, there's, there's such a thing as punching up so much that you're now punching down. It's, and it's something that is very difficult to distinguish for a lot of the people on social media. Ally Larder, 49, shows off her incredible figure in red string bikini. I'll have what she's having. They have in quotes. Here's the thing. Ali Larder, famous for Friday night lights, putting the whipped cream on her boobies. Listen, I don't think any of us would have chosen her in the, she's going to look not great at 49 draft. Like if we were to like draft people and in, in their 20s and go, who amongst these people won't, will be shocking to see on page six. Ali Larder isn't in the first top 10. She isn't even someone I'm picking. Like if I picked her, I'm on the lo. I would assume I'm on the losing side of this bet. So the idea that Alaud are 49 shows off her incredible figure. Like we're, I'm not shocked by this. This is not 49 year old. Oh my God, she's almost 50. Who, there's no one. And the idea I'll have what she's having. Oh, you'll have her jeans. You'll, you'll, you'll have her mom and dad create you in the womb and give you the good eating habits that happen in your, in your, in your childhood years. Is that what you'll be having? It's, it's an annoying headline for anyone with body issues. Ally Larder stripped down to nothing but a red string bikini and shared her beauty and fitness secrets. Her fitness secret is, is, is, is, is Ali Larder's fitness secrets. She has no, there's no secret. She eats like a normal human and she doesn't overdo it. And she was born with that body. Stop it. With Ally Larder's fitness secrets. Ali. What's Ali Larder's fitness secrets? She doesn't eat all her fries. Well, I can't do that, okay? I eat all the fries and then I get the bread before the dinner. I eat a full loaf of bread before having a pasta dinner. Is that what Ali Larder's doing? Is that her secret? No, she. Ally Larder's secret is that her parents didn't say to her, hey, if you eat a lot of that, you're gonna regret it. Like didn't put all these crap things in her head. In the jaw dropping mirror selfie, no one's jaw is dropping. No one is looking. Allie Larder, who's been hot forever, looks hot still in the jaw dropping mirror selfie shared Monday, the final destination star. That's not how I would know her. Casually showed off her fit physique in the skin bearing two piece from her on set trailer. She wore her blonde hair down around her shoulders accessory accessorized with a simple crucifix. I mean, she looks unbelievable. I had to shoot a bikini scene for my show last week. The 49 year old actress captioned the sizzling snapshot in part adding that playing a character that is so comfortable in her body drives me. I mean, you wore the whipped cream top. What are you talking about? Wasn't that her? Am I? She's beautiful. Gorgeous. The Legally Blonde actress then shared a detailed breakdown of her daily routine. Okay, here's a bed by 11. I can do that. I take magnesium and gaba. Stop it. That she doesn't look like that because of magnesium. Stop it. Gaba. Go Gaba. Gaba. That's what you're doing. You're taking the child's music group every morning. I take magnesium and gaba. Wake up at 5:30am I do think that is the secret. I once went on a run. I was. When I got. I was about to just lie out of my ass. When I got back from Australia, I was waking up at 5am and then needing to go to sleep at like 3pm and waking up at 7. That was like, how, how tough it was to come back. Coming back from Australia. Toughest jet lag I've ever had. I'm here in London. I think I'm good. Like two days, fine, good to go. Coming back from Australia was tough. So you wake up at like 4:35am when you first get back to New York. So I was going for walks on the west side Highway. The people running at that hour at 5:30am, 6:00am all in incredible shape. Like, it was like unavoidable. I think that is the secret. If anyone was like, it was like, hey, I want to make a lifestyle change. You wake up earlier and go to bed. Go to bed earlier. You're. I think you're actually like 80%. This is my hot fitness tip. Celery juice. Okay, so celery juice and coffee and hit the gym by six again. When you're up that early, you're not really jonesing for food. I do a 30 minute interval run and 10 minutes of core shower. Dunk my face in ice water, slather with oil because of my spray tan. Leave for work at 7am I think this is all waking up early. If she said, my secret is waking up early, that would be the most believable thing she said. I don't. Don't say magnesium. Don't. Just don't insult me like that. Oh, okay, I'll just get a magnesium. I guess my 30 pounds I have to lose will just come right off. After working on her spray tan, she has another coffee. Okay. Lemon water, eggs and turkey bacon. Yeah, this is. I don't need, I don't need this. You. The minute you say magnesium, I'm out. I'm not, I'm not sitting here like, oh, what else did you do? It's called, oh, I take magnesium and my mom and dad's jeans. That's what I do. That's my secret. I like going to the trending section. We have done the top three trending stories. Here's another one that is trending currently. People are. So Lauren Bezos, or Lauren Sanchez is getting married to Jeff Bezos. This is his second wedding or the second marriage, I guess she. She puts it out there. I'll say, as someone who's marrying the most rich person in the world, she is. I mean, I think she wore to the inauguration something like wild. Lauren Sanchez may have run into major beauty blunder just days before a big wedding. So this is one of those things. This is a story. Lawrence, we're hearing a lot about this wedding. Again, to Go back to like, what's the, what's the taste of how people feel about this? I, it seems as though people really don't want to like, I mean he's the richest guy in the world and being rich right now, not really in, not really like the most likable thing. And to me the, the articles about them are like kind of gnawing at that bone. Lauren Sanchez may have run into a major beauty. Like to, to say she the wife, you know, the fiance is a major beauty blunder. It's like we all click it because we're like, let's see. Hopefully I can feel better than her for five seconds until I realize she's going to be a billionaire by way of marriage. Run into a major beauty blunder. In the countdown to her massive Venice nuptials to Jeff Bezos, freelance tour guide Beatrice Bavato was recently photographed holding a list of names of wedding guests arriving at the airport. And according to Daily Mail, Sanchez's top choice for a nail artist, Eram Shelton, was already marked as a no show. It's oh, but how will she get her nails done? It's unclear if the celebrity nail artist. I didn't even know celebrity nail artist was a thing or was expected to do the bride's nails or if she was simply on the guest list for the star studded multi day event. That is fair. If they are a celebrity nail artist, that means they are a celebrity in their own right and that means they might just be off the clock. I my concern with their wedding. The only thing I want to know, if you're a billionaire and you're having your wedding in Venice, are you footing the bill for everyone to get there? Are you paying for the hotel rooms? Are you paying for flights? How does that all work? Because there's got to be and this kind of shows you, you're like, well, you know, people associate amongst socioeconomic circles that is the hard truth of life is that people generally hang out around people who like if you could see a graph of who people hang out with, everyone has similar net worths. And that's the hard part of like going up the financial ladder is that you're just not around people of bigger finances that can, you can network with. You know, they talk all about networking. So the idea that there's someone that Bezos is inviting to his wedding, that is like breaking the bank. It, it's actually that would be more shocking than one would maybe think. Like there's no one being like, oh, I got all these weddings this Summer and Bezos wedding is going to cost me a hundred grand. Guess I can't retire. Like, there's no one making that joke. I don't think I. And if there is, I'd love to meet that person because I think that's a reason to not go to the wedding. But then that's the problem. You have to go to the wedding. You have to go to the Bezos wedding. That's the thing. If you get invited to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding, afford, not afford. I think you have to go just for the. The networking, the being number one. You go because it's going to be a wild, fun time. So you're going to spend more than maybe you would normally spend also. You're just rubbing elbows with the best and brightest and the richest, best and bright. You're rubbing elbows with people with money. So it is an opportunity there. But if you think of the wedding as an opportunity, you're probably not a fun wedding guest. You're probably the person everyone avoids. This is a real King Solomon cut the baby in half issue to me. You have to go. But do you go into debt to go? You get invited to Jeff Bezos wedding. Would you go? That's. Answer that in the comments section of the Instagram post. I want to see what you think. You get invited, but you're going to have to spend. It's not. It's more than 10 grand. You got to spend, let's say 40 grand. You could save money on the flight. You could use points. You can go delta. It's in Venice. That's pretty easy. All right, let's see. Here's the. Here's the conundrum. Jeff Bezos invites you to his wedding. It's on a yacht. It's at Venice. You have to stay at the hotel that they've gotten. You think there's a room block? Jared, you think there's a room block? You think there's a deal? You think Jeff Bezos. Hey, everybody, if you want to get it on the room block, you're going to have to book your dick. No, this isn't happening. So you go to Jeff Bezos wedding, let's say Adam 30K. That's what you got to spend to go to his wedding. Do you go? Not can you afford it? Because it doesn't matter. Afford, not afford. You have to go. I think it's unclear if the celebrity Now Shelton previously worked with the celebrity nail guru Tom bach for the 2024 Met Gala. Batchic recently provided a flawless Minimalist. Minimalist. Pale pink manicure for Haley Steinfeld's May wedding to Josh. I didn't know there was a whole world of celebrity nail artists. Okay, so we don't know if her nail artist is going to be there. Could be. That's the blunder. Come on. All right, let's do another story. Okay. There's some salacious stories. Oh, here's Aaron Rodgers. I love an Aaron Rodgers. Being the biggest tool on earth. Guy Aaron Rodgers slams sick interest in his new wife. She doesn't want to be in the public eye. Aaron. Then don't wear the ring. Then don't. Then you're. What do you think? You're going to just be married in secret the rest of your life? You're a public figure. You're in the NFL. You. You go on a show every week and do interviews on your own accord and then give your opinion on things that are outside the football world. So the idea that we have a sick interest in who your wife is. Show us your wife now. What are you doing? And also, you holding her back creates a story. That wasn't a story. You go to one on one date in New York City holding hands with a woman. Who is she? This is my new girlfriend. How'd you meet Tinder? Done. Oh, we're engaged. How long have you been dating? Six months. Actually, we were kind of keeping it, you know, closed off, and now we're out there now. Now it's over now, but you've made this a story. Aaron Rodgers didn't hold back as he blasted 6 Society. The minute you say how. Isn't the fact that there's any debate over whether this guy is a douchebag or not is crazy to me. Can you at least. If you're like Team Aaron Rodgers, I don't know who you are, but can you at least just say tough hang? He seems like a tough hang. Imagine. Hey, Aaron, are you dating anyone? You know, she doesn't want to be in the public eye. I just hate how society always does this to you. This sick society has some sort of sick, perverted interest in knowing who my wife is? No, we just want to know because you said you're married and you have been a public figure your whole life, so marrying you kind of invites just a tad of that. And you wore the ring. You told us you're married. The next reasonable question is, who the fuck is she? It's a sick society, isn't it? This is his quote. This is his quote. You tell me if this is a douchebag or not, it's a sick society, isn't it? On. On the Pat McAfee show, he did. This douche is talking douchery on Pat McAfee Show. It's a sick society, isn't it? It's a sick society. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback sounded off on the Pat McAfee Show Tuesday. I lived in the public eye for 20 years. I had a public relationships. How did that work out? He said, oh, Aaron, Aaron, stop it. How did that work out? It's all our fault. It's all us. It's us one. You could have just said, hey, we met on a dating app. She's really cool. We met through friends. Great woman. Here she is, you know, well, the more you. This is a finger trap. The more you pull, we pull back. Rogers admitted he didn't want any more of the baggage that came with dating in the limelight, claiming people have leaked his home information and made up stories about his love life here. Now he's the victim. Now poor Aaron. Poor Aaron makes himself the victim. I've had. You don't know what I've gone through. My house leaked. And again, you undeniable. Here's what you do. Here's how you win the public discourse. Make yourself the biggest victim. Find out a way to make someone morally bankrupt. That's the. Aaron's the king of that. Oh, society has a sick interest in my love life, even though I brought it up and I won't tell anyone who I'm dating. And this seemingly came out of nowhere. And I go and do a voluntarily, a voluntary interview once a week on tv. I go shoot the shit on TV for you guys to hear about my life. But let's just hide this one major thing and then he's going to tell us. And then, oh, you guys, you, you know. And you think it's okay for my house Information get leaked. Yeah, that's what we all say. We all think it's okay. And now I'm with somebody who's private, who doesn't want to be in the public eye, didn't sign up to be a celebrity, doesn't want to be a part of it. Yes, they did. They signed up to be with a celebrity. That is how you decide whether to date them or not. That's part of it. Oh, you guys fell in love. Like, what do you think? You're Grease, You're Danny Zuko. You were off in Australia and you met a girl. Crazy for me. Met a guy as good as can be. Summer loving, having a blast Is that what you're saying? Us? You guys fell in love in the private privacy of your own beach vacation, then you had to come back to real life and see if you could make it work. Oh, I don't know if I could deal with this. She knew you were a celebrity when she met you. She didn't meet you in high school. She didn't. That. That's a different story. Again, this is. But he's speaking in moral absolutes. And it's our problem where society is the problem. What a fucking douche. I just. That is just the most Aaron Rodgers story I have ever heard. Now, I like this one. It is I. They go in the alley larder. Okay, Selena Gomez, Brad. Okay, we'll do two more. We got time for two more. Selena Gomez, Brad Pitt. Just to mention, Brad Pitt is on tour on the Brad Pitt Straight shooter. Brad Pitt reflects on never having a gay experience. I missed that window. He went on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard. That is an underrated softball interview. They met in a Brad pick a candidate about his sexuality and missing out on the gay experience amid his romance with Inez de Ramon. He's on the F1 movie tour. And I mean, they're just this. To me, this. You know, I've never had a gay experience. The flight. The Fight Club star said on Monday's episode of Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard. These are two friends having a podcast interview where they're, like, faking what it would be like to hang around their friendship. Because this is a softball. This is what you're getting now. Now that podcast has gone mainstream. This isn't an honest interview. Question number one for Brad Pitt is why did it take over a decade for. For you and Angelina Jolie to break up? And how come your kids seem to hate you? Questions one, questions two. And Dax Shepard's gonna come on and go, hey, buddy, remember when we met in AA and we're now good guys and oh, my God, I wouldn't be gay with you. I don't want to bug. Okay. Pit 61 quip. The Parenthood alum would only make the cut as his 14th or 15th experience. What are we talking about? How is this? Okay, I. I don't want to brag, but you're going to need to build up to me. Shepard, 50, responded playfully. I do recommend you start with some starters. What. What was it? What was this interview elsewhere in the podcast? Pit detail. I Heard this was a good interview by the way. Pit detailed going to his first Alcoholics Anonymous meeting following his difficult split from ex wife Angelina Jolie. I that that's talking about the Moneyball star claimed he was pretty much on his knees and recalling knowing he had to wake the up in some areas. I was trying anything and everything. Anything anyone threw at me. It was difficult time. I needed rebooting. Well, that's him saying the marriage falling apart is his fault. Pitt didn't reveal when the AA meeting was, but he previously told New York Times that he went shortly after he separated from Jolie in 2016. So yeah, this, this happens. Recalling the meeting, the Ocean's Eleven star said, it gives you permission to go, okay, I'm going to step out on this edge and see what happens. That that's probably a powerful thing for people in the AA community to hear as I already just talk shit. Pitt's alleged drinking problem. Allegedly. What a sentence. Pitt's alleged drinking problem. Is it alleged? They're really covering their tracks. Page Six allegedly led to the demise of his nearly two year marriage with Jolie. 50 per court documents obtained by page six of 2022. The Salt star claimed that Pick got physical with her and one of their six kids in a 2016 plane ride. I can tell you Dax didn't ask about that one. So it Almost they share children. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 kids. Pitt is noticed notably estranged from several of his kids, with some of them dropping a surname. He didn't get asked about that on this show. I can promise you that. Selena Gomez tries out a totally new hair transformation. And then in quotes it says I'd regret it. So who's saying that? I'm looking at the hair transformation looks great. It's a bang situation. Shoulder length. She went wavy, curly. Selena Gomez is hot. I I always have thought this she does this thing where she kind of talks out of the side of her mouth. I don't know if anyone else has realized that Selena Gomez is trying a new look temporarily. The only Murders in the Building actress debuted a shaggy wolf haircut. I Is that what it's called? With wispy bangs on Instagram. How it turns however it turns out, the dramatic hair transformation was the result of a wig. I would, but I'd regret it. Then I'd get it redone so I simply won't bangs. So it's a wig. She looks good. This is how women talk a lot of time. Oh well should I would I know I'd regret it. I'd Cry for weeks. I'm like. And I'm sitting here like it's hot. I don't know what else you have to think over. Let's do one more story and then we're out of here. I mean, if you listen to Chit chat Wednesday, great episode with Hannah Dickinson. We talked about Patrick Schwarzenegger going and doing panels in Cannes and teaching everyone how to be better marketers, even though he's just the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Arnold Schwarzenegger. I don't know what he's pushing, but he's out there. He's doing a lot of interviews. Arnold Schwarzenegger shares rare details of so Patrick's romance with wonderful Miley Cyrus. All his kids dating, like, the most famous people alive. This family must really roll out the red carpet. Christopher Pratt. They must have gabillions of dollars. And there's another interview where he talked about how much he made on, like, the movie Twins. It was like 40 million back in, like, the 90s. So it's probably like a hundred million. Arnold Schwarzenegger can't stop and won't stop gushing about Miley Cyrus. Although the actor's eldest son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is no longer the pop star, he still has a lot of love for the very talented musician. I mean, what's he gonna say? She sucked. She's a wonderful, wonderful girl and human being. Arnold, 77, said during his guest appearance on Watch what happens live Monday. I mean, I'm an Arnold fan. She came up to the sun, to Sun Valley where we were skiing up there. She just. And she was just a wonderful house guest. We all. We just loved her. What she. The idea that Arnold would have any clue whether someone was a good or bad house guest. I want to find out what the housekeeper thinks of Miley. You asked the housekeeper? They're like, she left the bathroom as a mess. Miley. Oh, yeah, the bathroom was a mess. She didn't make the bed in the morning like the housekeeper. I want to hear from Arnold, though. She was a wonderful house guest. What she said please and thank you when you paid for the dinner at the steakhouse. She came up to Sun Valley where we were skiing up there. And she was just a wonderful house guest. We all just loved her. While host Andy Cohen tried to get Arnold to spill some tea on any and bad memories from Patrick and Cyrus. Sire Patrick's and Cyrus's brief relationship. The Terminator. Sorry. Had nothing but good things to say about his son's ex. There is no worse party. Stated she was just a really good, good person. Fun to hang out with. I'm sorry it didn't work out. That's a dad. Especially a dad. And then they show pictures of Patrick and Miley. Miley looks like a woman, and Patrick looks like her kid brother. Like, it. It doesn't he. It. I mean, how did he woo her? I mean, but they're all, you know, they're both celebrities at a young age. Cyrus, 32, and Patrick, 31, were first romantically linked in November 2014, the same month the pair confirmed there were a couple. They were caught locking lips at the USC vs. Cal game at the Los Angeles Memorial. Okay. The couple shared many PDA moments. Yeah. They show them kissing. Yeah, I. I guess I know. I wasn't aware of this era, of Miley's life. And now he's a celeb, and she's with a musician who couldn't look less. Ah. If you cut Max Morondo, if you cut his hair. Similar build, similar look. No one. I don't know if the average eye would catch this. He's engaged to Abby Champion. I think she's a golfer. But Patrick and the musician Miley does have a body type. All right, pop culture Thursday. I sit here in foggy London town. Back next week. Boom.
