It was the one request the disciples made for instruction from Jesus, "Lord, teach us how to pray." Prayer is simply talking to God. We can't mess it up. He loves us and desires relationship with us. And yet there's a complexity to prayer that can sometimes leave us feeling like we've fallen short or missed the mark. Why do we pray the way we do? Do we really believe prayer accomplishes anything? These are just a couple of the questions we will tackle in this series. Jesus often retreated to quiet places to pray. He also prayed out loud with large groups. Paul tells us in Ephesians to "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests." We'll be diving deeper into God's Word and unpacking Christ's answer to His disciples' request, which resulted in what is now more commonly known as "The Lord's Prayer." Lord, teach us how to pray! Scripture for this message: Luke 11:1-4 Romans 12:2 Ephesians 6:8
