Well, my hat says it all. Hot mess. It is a hot mess over here. Okay. Where do we even begin? Wow. Got back from New York and I'm like, where have I been for the last eight weeks of my life? Like, I feel like I have not seen this house, like, in its full capacity for two months, and now I'm really crashing out. Like, I cannot wait to get done with obligations for the week so that I can get my pressure washer out.

[Lindsay Chrisley]

You in this damn pressure washer. Do you like. Is it a good one? Is it gas or electric?

[Becky]

It's the one that you plug into the wall.

[Lindsay Chrisley]

That's so funny. It's electric.

[Becky]

Yeah, it's electric. Yeah.

We. We should get you a gas powered one that's like heavy duty to really.

Yeah, but see, really drive it home. The problem with that is, is that I've tried to use Will's tools before or like apparatuses or devices, and I'm not strong enough to pull the gas thing to get it to go, which would then require assistance from someone else. And I just like, want to do it whenever I want to do it.

They make electric start power washers that are gas powered.

[Becky]

What do you mean?

Like, there's an electric start switch in it that like, turns it on. There's like a little battery that triggers like, where you don't have to put. I. You know what? Just stick with what you got. It's working.

New York talked about it a little bit. But, you know, like, these trips are absolutely crazy. I think people don't really realize what goes into doing a trip and like, what all we tried to get accomplished on a trip.

And so by the time I left New York, I personally had recorded six episodes and did the Webbies and had a Sunday fun day, and I was just ready for my ass to be home.

You had a Sunday fun day in New York City?

Yeah, with Madison and Alessandra. We went to brunch. We met the mayor, Zoron. Zoron. I thought he was coming out of Urban Outfitters. Madison claims that he was probably coming out of a doctor's office.

[Lindsay Chrisley]

You met him? Like, you said hello?

[Becky]

No, we didn't say. Well, Madison did, but I didn't know who that was. And I'm like, wait, what? I'm just trying to go to Urban Outfitters.

[Lindsay Chrisley]

Listen, I know we don't talk about politics in our. In our lives, but that man. There's something about that man that gives me hope in humanity. I just saw a clip of him today. He's opening up a. He's turning, like, a. A old juvenile detention center in the Bronx into an affordable grocery store for the community. It'll open next year. It's like 20,000 square ft. Anyway. Yeah, I would. I would be, like. I'd be. Is it called glazing? I feel like. Oh, my God.

That amazing.

[Lindsay Chrisley]

Yeah, man. Like, there's just something about his aura that just gives me, like, hope, you know? It's cool.

I mean, there's definitely something about his aura as far as physical appearance that I would gl.

Can I just. You are. You're. You are not. You are good financially. You are in an industry that requires technology. Why don't you have a camera set up? Like, it's, like, going in and out. It is blurry.

Like, not what. That's not what's happening. Try to provide a camera telling you what was happening in this current moment. Number one, I do need to buy a camera that is on the list of things that I need to do, but that is not what's happening with this video today.

No, you're just. It's basically like someone put a blur over your face, like they're trying to hide their kid.

Okay, well, that's not what's happening. I have a light bulb that is malfunctioning in my kitchen.

Yeah. We went to a bodega. I am really concerned with why there's cats at, like, all these bodegas. Like, why there's food items there.

I mean, if it's a feral cat, I would not imagine that these would be, you know, ones that are going to the doctor and getting vaccinations.

It's not a feral cat. It's a bodega cat. They're well taken care of.

Well, I mean, I just don't understand why they're there, and it's so scary.

I. I did, because I was not expecting for a cat to just come out of nowhere like another human being. Okay. Like, I get it. The cat. Absolutely not. So we went to a bodega. We. Madison made us walk a mile because she's directionally challenged, and we were going the opposite direction of where we needed to be going. Let's see, what else did we do? Oh, yeah. I went to the airport. Kale and I pretty much argued on the podcast about our Uber driver almost hitting a hoverboarder. She claims that the person almost died. That is absolutely not what happened. There was, like, no death in sight. It was just kind of like a little.

Okay. People get hit a lot in the city. I had a driver pick me up, actually, recently, and she was like, I hit some guy on a bike, and he told me not to call the cops. And I said, wait, yeah, welcome to New York. Yeah.

Not to call the cops.

Yeah. Sometimes, like, when people. Multiple reasons.

Right.

Like, health insurance, documentation, all the things, you know?

I mean, I could very well see why so many people would get hit. Like, the bike lanes in New York City are absolutely terrifying. You can't even get out of a parked car without. And. And people just don't stop. It's like they have zero to give.

Madison, do you know who Weird Al Yankovic is? Okay. I was really hoping that you would. I saw him when I was in la. It just reminded me of, like, seeing something like. I went up to a celebrity. I went up to. I was at, like, this. I don't know how I got into this party. I went to the Kentucky Derby once in my life and I went to

You're like, how was your Mother's Day? I am officially done with you. No way. I can't let go of the Kentucky Derby thing. Like, okay, what did you wear to the Kentucky Derby? I wore.

Or I wore orange pants and, like, a plaid suit jacket. I wore my hair in, like, a side braid and, like, a fedora.

Make sure you send them to me. As far as Mother's Day is concerned, we celebrated on the Saturday because I had to fly to New York on Sunday, so that kind of sucks. But it was nice because Will came to pick up Jackson and took him to celebrate with his mom. So Jackson got the best.

Yeah, I went to a baby shower. What?

[Becky]

The amount of things that I saw on your Instagram story from your Mother's Day weekend has closed caused me a great deal of concern.

[Lindsay Chrisley]

Concern in what way?

[Becky]

Well, like, your friend's hair on the one Instagram story sleeping. I was like, where have y' all been? It's just crazy.

[Lindsay Chrisley]

It. It was one of the best days of my life, if I'm being honest. Top, like, top five experiences I've ever had was doing that bar crawl on Mother's Day, Becky. Which brings me to my point of what you were just talking about. I went to a baby shower, and my friend was like, oh, your Mother's Day looked insane. I want to do it next year. I was like, yeah, you should definitely do it. She turns to, like, her husband or partner and is like, oh, I want to do this for Mother's Day. He's like, it's your first Mother's Day. And I was like, you could celebrate on Saturday. It doesn't matter. Like, your kid isn't going to know what Day. Mother's Day is.

[Becky]

You know, I used to get hung up on that, though, before I was divorced. Like, everything needed to be celebrated on the day. And then when I got divorced, obviously, you just have to adapt, right? So you're not going to have your kid for every holiday. So you very much learn. Like, we can celebrate whatever the holiday is, but we don't have to do it on that specific day. And no one really knows and no one really cares.

Great life lesson. You know, a little audible. I'm doing it again next year if you have any interest in doing it.

I don't. I am telling you in advance, I will not be accompanying you on that trip because it made me tired, like, looking at it. The visual. Yeah. I'm like, what the actual hell is going on? But no, when I was in the airport, I went to TGI Fridays. Like, actually, I shouldn't be telling people that because that's the only place that I go into the Atlanta airport. But I met these people. I was like, hey, what are you doing for Mother's Day? Are you a mom? And she was like, well, I just lost my mom this year, so this is my first Mother's Day without my mother. And I said, oh, my God, I'm so sorry. And so I said, but are you going somewhere? Like, you're in the airport. What are you doing? And she said, oh. She had just gone to three different cities in that day and never left the airport and then just flew. Flying from place to place.

Head is spinning with ideas. That is so freaking cool.

I'm like, Becky and I go on tour, and it's just like, we're just in the airport.

And I just, I'm still trying to wrap my head around why, at the point of what has transpired, literally get off the Internet.

So he would be at the beach for two weeks. But, like, it would be one vacation with me and one vacation with his dad.

So the write up it says the Crash is a true crime documentary that revisits the July 2022 high speed car crash in Strongsville, Ohio. The driver, Mackenzie Shurilla, 17 at the time, drove her Toyota Camry into a brick building, killing her passengers, Dominic Russo, which was her boyfriend, and his best friend Davion. The film explores whether the crash was a tragic accident or deliberate, calculated double murder. Shrilla claims that she had no memory of the incident beyond turning onto the road where it occurred. Toxicology reports found no hard drugs or alcohol in her system, only a trace amount of thc. And it says, set against the backdrop of reportedly toxic relationship between Mackenzie and Dominic, the documentary examines the evidence, possible motives, and lingering questions surrounding the case. After watching it, I was so pissed off, Becky, at the parents. And just like the lack of. It felt like such a lack of remorse for these other kids lives, a lack of remorse for their daughter's actions, lack of accountability and parenting. The fact that they came up with. And I'm saying, you know, it could be true that she had some type. I think they called it like POTS or something where it caused her to have high blood pressure. Please tell me. Then when you're watching the documentary, you see the. The video of. I guess they got it from like street cams or whatever. She is driving at a normal speed, making a turn, maintaining lane, and then all of a sudden the car starts flying. It sounds like a whistle. And said that she never let off of the gas at 100 miles per hour for the five seconds, I guess that it was being clocked at 100 miles per hour. And drove into this brick building. Claimed she had no memory of it. They were able to pull that, you know, from. From where they investigated the car. I guess that the brake was never applied. That she was just straight on gas for. At 100 miles per hour.

Yeah. I mean, what. What other reason than like under influence, which got ruled out or like it. It doesn't sound like it was like she was just driving recklessly and it happened. Like, it sounds like intentional.

No, it was like literally when she took the turn, when they're showing the video, she's like going around a turn and she's completely maintaining lane has slowed down to take the turn. And then all of a sudden, at 100 miles per hour, did she get hurt?

Like, how did she not die?

She. She was injured, but she didn't die. And there was a theory, I believe, like, maybe the prosecution. You'll have to watch the documentary, but that, like, maybe she wanted to die. And so she was essentially for.

Yeah, that's what went through my head. Like she like, wanted to just kill them all. Like she wanted to kill herself. But my, like, same thing with that other. That other documentary that recently came out with the tech, with the. That like, texting scandal and like blackmail and like.

Like, why do people agree to do these documentaries?

I think it's the same thing that we were talking about earlier in the episode of, like, why certain people can't stay off of social media. It's. It's got to be some level of narcissism or mental illness.

And Madison, she's saying, get that check. Documentaries don't pay like that.

yeah. That is not standard with documentaries. There's a really fine line of what they will pay for and what they won't. It's not like an episodic fee or like an upfront fee. You get paid for stuff like. Like back catalog of stuff. So if you were providing family photos and stuff like that, you will get paid for that part of it. But to maintain the integrity of the documentary, most documentaries do not pay for you to be on there. Yeah. I mean, I could just not imagine my child doing something, being convicted of double murder and then thinking it was a good idea to go on a Netflix documentary, not accept any accountability for anything. Until you're innocent. But I couldn't imagine having a child and not feeling any type of remorse for, like, actions that they did that caused someone else harm.

That's what I can't wrap my head around. Addison said she got arrested in 2023 and got 15 years to life in prison.

So she was young.

She was probably 18. So, like, 15 years. She'll be out. Yeah, she was. Yeah.

But not that, like, it was actually really sad because one of the. The dads of the boy that passed away, he said that if what they decided was 15 years, then essentially he would accept it, but he wanted his child's life in the amount of years to be honored, essentially, and that he

would be, like, 18 years like, he was 18 years old and he wanted her to get 18 years.

He said he would be more comfortable between 15 and 30. With 30 years versus the 15. Yeah, but I'm just like.

And she'll probably get out early for whatever reason.

Yeah, yeah. I mean, you could only hope that you just, like, raise them to be good enough humans to make good decisions. But, like, I was making. I was making bad decisions when I was a teenager. I would get in a car with anyone. Like, I wouldn't even, like, question it. I. I don't think. And I was like, a decent kid, so I don't know. I don't know.

Made good decisions. You know, just like a couple things, like, here and there as a teenager, but nothing my parents have said for forever. Like, if they could have had all me's, like, in that part of my life. Then they would have continued having kids, and I'm like, wow, like, what an honor.
