Maybe I'm just like weird. Maybe I'm crunchy. This is the Southern Tea with Lindsey Chrisley. I think it's so funny when you get Christmas cards and all of these people write their children's accomplishments on the back.

Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I'm good.
Lindsay Chrisley
How are you? Better than me. I love that for you. I had a very fun weekend but very sleepy weekend. I have not been able to sleep really since really started like February Valentine's and I could not sleep or get a good night's sleep until this weekend. And I literally woke up and I text Kale and I was like, I can finally sleep alone again. Oh, so that was really nice. And then I laid out meat to meal prep yesterday. Hunter and I get back and there is blood absolutely everywhere.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
What do you mean blood everywhere? From what? The chicken?
Lindsay Chrisley
Like a crime scene.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
What happened?
Lindsay Chrisley
Getting sick of crime scenes in my house is what I'm getting sick of. Well, I guess it just leaked. Oh, what were you guys making taco meat for, like taco salads? Yeah, I love to just have taco meat made because you can make so many different things out of it. And so we were going to be making that, but then when I got home and saw the blood everywhere, I was like, yeah, no, no.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Taco bowls are canceled.
Lindsay Chrisley
Taco bowls are canceled. Then also, we were gonna make burgers. We were gonna make, like, the little tiny, like, smash burgers on the grill, because also, those are really nice to have just, like, on hand just to be able to heat up. Yeah, we're gonna make that. And we got none of that done, so.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
And, you know, sometimes that's more productive than meal prepping.
Lindsay Chrisley
So just be like that, you know, for everyone listening. I don't know how much we've talked about it at this point. Like, I feel like I'm going crazy. But Hunter and I went last week to get clothes for rebranding for the Southern tea. And I'm really excited, but have you ever been, like, really excited about something but then also, like, ready for it to just be done?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. Yeah. It's a lot of prep, A lot of love prep. The photo shoots tomorrow, which is really exciting.
Lindsay Chrisley
I know. I'm. I'm really excited. And thank God Hunter is going to be there with me because I have found myself what I feel like. And I talked to my therapist about it on Saturday morning that I. I get, like, codependent on people.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
You know, I'm the opposite way. I've never been that way. I mean, I've been codependent in relationships to an extent when I was younger. But then I think, yeah, I love my alone time just as much and, like, doing my thing just as much and, like, doing things alone. I'm fine with 100%, but, like, how
Lindsay Chrisley
did you outgrow it?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I'm an only child, so do you
Lindsay Chrisley
think that that has a little bit to do with it?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, 100%.
Lindsay Chrisley
I was talking to this girl that I met at brunch yesterday, and, you know, we were just like, small talk because kind of like, all sitting around a same area, and she was talking about how, you know, she had gone to school and gotten her undergrad one place, and then she had gone to school and gotten her master's somewhere else, and then she went to law school. And just, like, the energy that she was giving off was definitely only child, but definitely not. And I said, wow, that's so interesting, because it was very similar personality to the way you are and very similar to how Jackson is. Mm.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, it's definitely an only child thing. Like, I'm not really afraid to go and do anything. Like, if I want to go see A movie and nobody else is available. I'm just gonna go.
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, you'll see. By yourself?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, I'll just go. I want to go see it.
Lindsay Chrisley
I wish that I could get to a place like that. Maybe I'll develop over time and healing, you know what I mean? Mm.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Mm.
Lindsay Chrisley
Last week was rather crazy. So obviously we all know that my car got wrecked at the car wash, and that has been quite the undertaking for them to, like, pay for the damage underneath my account. And so they keep sending me messages and saying, hey, we're trying to get in touch with you. And I'm like, I literally have not missed one single phone call. So, like, who are you calling? No, they're calling the people to get the payment from, I guess the car wash and thought they were calling me.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Right.
Lindsay Chrisley
So my car's been there at this point for over a week. New development as well. I'm thinking about turning my Lexus in because it's a lease, and then selling my Bronco and getting a Tahoe.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, okay. Where did this development come from?
Lindsay Chrisley
Maybe the state of psychosis that I'm in, I'm not sure. I've wanted a Tahoe for a while, and then I just keep seeing, like, all these crash reports and, like, recalls and stuff like that on the Bronco, and it's kind of freaking me out.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Really? Yeah. I have nothing much to say about cars other than I paid mine off recently, which.
Lindsay Chrisley
The fact that you have a car in New York City is insane. Wait, can we talk about that for a second? Because I one time was talking to somebody. I like, met these people out at, like, a restaurant, like an outdoor style, like, restaurant in Central Park. And I was like, how do people drive around here? Because obviously there's so many cars everywhere. And they were like, no, most of us New Yorkers, like, do not have cars. It is so expensive to have a car in New York City. And the parking is basically from. From what I understood from them was equivalent to, like, rent.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
So it's like kind of like that kind of depends where you live in the city. Like, if you live in Manhattan, I could see that. But I live in Queens, so it's like kind of more suburb suburban, I guess you could say. So one, the parking. There's a bunch of street parking all the time, which I usually can find a spot. And then two, driving you of just have to, like, fuck around and find out.
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, see?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
No, see, like, I. I don't know. I lived in la. I drove there. People in LA drive absolutely horrible And I felt like I was going to die multiple times because of how many people cut me off and how close I got. New York, it's just like, you get really close to each other, and then I'm from Florida, so Florida driving is, like, also insane.
Lindsay Chrisley
So Atlanta driving is also insane. Like, if you ever came here and drove, you would need an anxiety prescription immediately.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Have you ever gotten to, like, a road rage with anybody? Like, I have.
Lindsay Chrisley
Not, like, me raging or somebody else,
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
like, got mad at you?
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, when Will and I were in college, so we went to college in the city. And so the ball fields and stuff for him to play baseball were about 25 minutes away from campus. And so we would have to go, like, on the not best side of town, like, cross through that side of town to get to the ball fields. And this had to have been when I was like, I maybe was 19 or 20 years old when this happened. I'm just, like, cruising down the road. All of a sudden, traffic stops, and I look over and there is a man, like, whipping a gun, like, around in the road. And I said, oh, no, no, no, no. What?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, my God, Lindsay, that's crazy.
Lindsay Chrisley
Since we're talking about local stuff, though, I was undecided if I was gonna talk about this or not. But you know how I've talked about that? I like to go and look like on the local crime page and see people's mug shots and stuff.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I'm scared to hear where this is going, but continue.
Lindsay Chrisley
So Will had sent me a mug shot, and he was like, very interesting that this is on this crime page. And I'm like, yeah, trust me, I know. And then we are scrolling. I get Jackson to bed one night, and I get out of the shower, and I just, like, start to doom scroll on Facebook. But immediately, whenever I open the app, I see this mugshot of someone. And it was a screenshot from the crime page, and it was somebody that I knew on there. And when I say new, I would say, like, acquaintances, but have known this person and family to be around for pretty much all of Jackson's life. And I'm like, what could that person have gone to jail for? So I'm thinking, like, oh, maybe like a DY or, you know, something. No. I start down a rabbit hole all the way to the point that I get the arrest warrant. Okay. Grooming of a minor.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I don't even know what to say. That is disgusting.
Lindsay Chrisley
And I say all of that to say, like, I'm not trying to gossip about this, but the level of shock and then fear and like the text between Will and I going back and forth about this situation were just completely unhinged. And it's like you really don't know. Like you think you know people, but you really don't know people.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
No. And also people are just sick. So, so sick. I mean, wow. Like you're. I. I can't even like it makes me so sick because that's something obviously that I would never even thing to do in my brain. But the fact that somebody's around kids, was around your son, it just makes you sick. Like, oh, that could have been my kid. Is that every parent?
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, and then you just like start getting like these like intrusive thoughts. Right. When you read something like that and obviously understand innocent until proven guilty. But the fact that they had electronic communications of this person doing what has been alleged that they did, I'm going to venture out to say that the likelihood of it being real and have actually happened is likely very high.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
So there's a similar story. Have you ever heard of this influencer called Noah Beck?
Lindsay Chrisley
No.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
No. So he's a very popular like OG TikToker, like one of the first ones that blew up, right? Like has tens of millions of followers. His sister Hailey back was recently involved in a major controversy and she got fired in a school in Arizona because she was found grooming one of the high school students with like 4,000 texts to the minor sent money brought alcohol and marijuana.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh my God.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, so she's facing like multiple felony charges. And it's just I read some of the texts on like a TikTok somebody posted like breaking it down. And this guy was like treating her like shit like would say like, you're so ugly. Like I don't even know why you're texting me like, da, da, da. And she's like, I'll do whatever I want for you.
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, like this minor was saying this.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, the minor was like dogging on her and being like, you're so ugly. And then like, obviously he's a kid, like he doesn't know any better and he's getting money and like manipulation. Like she would even do his homework.
Lindsay Chrisley
That's crazy.

Actually, when I saw the charges, I text Will and I'm like grooming, question mark question mark what is grooming? And I didn't understand like the complexity of what goes into that, but it is absolutely terrifying, like trying to build the miners trust and doing things that would like, make them want to continue to communicate with you. And this arrest warrant, it said that the grooming took place over text messages, social media apps, through third party communication, which I'm just going to go out on a limb and somewhat assume that the third party communication was either like maybe an assistant coach or, you know, the parents or something like that. That is terrifying.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
That is so scary. And the fact that like you would go to length involving another person too and like thinking that's normal, what got
Lindsay Chrisley
to be,
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
yeah, you are sick, like
Lindsay Chrisley
a really sick brain. So I got an email or not an email, a dm, and it's from the same person and I think it might be a fake account. And I screenshot it this morning. It said, get off social media. How do you go from the situation that you just experienced right back to posting, take it seriously, then sends another message, Lindsay, stop pretending like nothing happened. Your name in your situation is in the news. Go heal and deal
Listener Caller
with.
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, Cristy, I feel like I'm doing what I can do to cope. Yeah.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
And like, also, people can't tell you ways to heal. Like, if you want to post an Instagram story, like, let the girl post an Instagram story. I don't understand. It doesn't equivalent to be like, everything's okay.
Lindsay Chrisley
The biggest thing to me is that people don't see like what's going on behind the scenes of social media. And they don't see the hard days that I'm having. They don't see the literal crash out and breakdowns. You know, I went from, and I was telling my therapist this the other day, I went from in minutes, losing a best friend, a partner, and my future, like in minutes. So, like, please don't tell me respectfully how to heal. Also, life continues on whether we like it or not. And I think that is one of like, the hardest parts of being an adult is that regardless of what you're going through, when you have children and you have businesses and you have friendships, all of that stuff continues on regardless of what you're going through.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yep, yep. So, Lindsay, you just got to be gentle with yourself. And like, if there's days where you're not mentally 100% there, that's okay. It's still very, very, very, extremely fresh. And it's going to take time for you to heal. And I feel like you're doing everything in your power and being proactive to start that healing journey.
Lindsay Chrisley
So when it's like, you know, for people to try to judge or, like, pass judgment because I went out for one of my best friend's birthdays. Why? Why are we passing judgment for that? Am I just supposed to sit in my house and literally rot away? Because I've also done that. Yeah.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I think there's no linear way of healing. And then also, I think especially a lot of the haters love to see your life in black and white. Like, it's either she's doing horrible and I have to see her crying on her Instagram, or she's not. She's not processing quickly, and she's drinking and having fun with her friends on her birthday, and she's not dealing with her problems. Like, two things can exist at once for people. And I don't understand why I wasn't
Lindsay Chrisley
going to tell my best friend, like, no, I can't go out and have a girl's dinner. Also, I do think it's somewhat good for me to get out of the house and get out of my little environment and bubble, because I don't want to become a recluse. And I know that about myself. I will. And so I've been forcing myself to be able to get out of the house, even if it's just for a couple of hours, to have adult interaction with other people other than just sitting alone.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, yeah, definitely. Definitely. Just, it takes time, and you have to find whatever your new normal is, and you still don't know what that is.
Lindsay Chrisley
And also, people are like, oh, what's going to be the next relationship? Like, I've seen that. I have zero desire to be in a relationship right now at all.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Exactly.
Lindsay Chrisley
I don't know that that will change for a very long time, because I think I am truly walking down the. I'm walking down, like, this healing path of, hey, I am recognizing, like, certain things, and I need to heal certain parts of those things before I could ever even entertain something else. And it would absolutely be the worst decision that I could possibly make to get involved with someone else right now, knowing that there are parts of me that are broken that somebody else is not deserving of dealing with those broken parts.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Exactly. And that's on growth. That is on growth. And that's when, you know, change is actually happening for real this time.
Lindsay Chrisley
And it's. It's like, I. And I've said this before. I'm pretty sure I said it last summer when I believe it was ahead of summer last year, but we had gone through a little rough patch and broke up, and I said, I just want to take the summer and, like, be so intentional about spending that time with Jackson. I feel like I'm gonna cry. He's 13 years old, and you have 18 summers with your kids while they're children. And I absolutely want to cherish this time alone, to be able to do stuff with him and give him my undivided attention while I'm also healing. And I'm not. I'm not in a position to where I would have to be navigating other emotions of a relationship, because I think that being a parent, but being a single parent, there's a lot of emotions that I have to navigate in my single parenthood that I did not have to navigate whenever I was married.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Definitely. Definitely. And I think this summer will be the healing summer that you need. You know, you'll get more time with Jackson. I think it came at the perfect time. You guys will be able to do different things together and, like, just enjoy your time being together, just you two. And that's so special.
Lindsay Chrisley
And, I mean, I did commit to going on a couple of tour dates with Kale, and I'm only doing the Carolinas. Made most sense to me. That is my family's home state, and so that made most sense, and I'm excited about being able to do that. I am in conversations with Will about possibly him tagging along and bringing Jackson to Charleston, Charlotte, and Durham, and so keeping my fingers crossed on that. We actually had a conversation not too long ago about taking a trip with Jackson, like, just us three. And I was like, do you think that's weird? And he was like, no. I mean, not necessarily. Like, it would be weird if we were both dating people, I think. And then I also, like, revert back to what Jackson's play therapist said. Like, don't do things that you can't keep up. So as much as I want to do it, I'm, like, struggling a little bit because, you know, what if will start saving somebody? Like, I know I'm not going to, but, you know, maybe that girl thinks that that's not normal.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I think. I don't know. I think that would have been. If I think about my parents, right? If we all went on a vacation together, I think it would be weird. I think it would definitely be weird. I think if we're able to really move on and just act like friends and, you know, be normal, I think that's great. But I think those situations come far and few between, so I would just, you know, do what you can. Have Jackson, you Know, have happy memories with you guys, but if that's not in, like, the wheelhouse, like, that's fine.
Lindsay Chrisley
I just feel like Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick remember when they were trying to do that, and it was like, a whole storyline on Keeping Up.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, my gosh. That was, like, a whole thing. No, There was one time my parents and I, not even a vacation. I was moving to New York, and they all came and, like, helped me move and everything, and they got into an argument just, like, about whatever it was, you know, moving logistics, something was too heavy, and I'm like, this is why we don't travel together. You guys are so annoying. This is why you're divorced. Just, like, different stuff, like, that happened multiple times throughout the trip.
Lindsay Chrisley
The crazy thing is Will and I don't really argue. I'm. I'm sure people will be like, well, that's not true, because you've talked about, you know, disagreements or whatever on the show before. Both things can be true. Yeah. Like, I think that we very much struggled a little bit with, you know, he parents one way, and I parent another way. And the way that he wants things is the way he wants things, and the way that I want things is the way that I want things. And that's just part of being divorced. And now I can do what I want to do with my house with him, and he can do what he wants to do at his house with him. But as far as, like, arguments, I will tell you all the truth. The majority of the time, if there is ever an argument, it's because Jackson's arguing with both of us collectively.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Okay.
Lindsay Chrisley
Because regardless of what I say to Will or what he says to me, that happens privately. And we are a united front when it comes to Jackson. To his face.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
That's great.
Lindsay Chrisley
So I just. I don't know. I don't know. I think it would be interesting. It's almost like, you know what? We really shouldn't be, like, gambling our lives and, like, doing marketing tests on taking our kid divorced on a trip. But at the same time, I'm like, I really want that data. Yeah.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Come back with that case study, Lindsay, and get back to us. Let us know how that goes. Vlog, the whole thing.

My name is Mackenzie and I started to go fund me for the adoptive mother of a non verbal autistic child. The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able to find adequate care for this autistic child. So she really needed some help with living expenses, paying some back bills. So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them during this crisis and we raised about $10,000 within just a couple of months. I think that the sense of surprising thing was by telling a clear story and just like, really being very clear about what we needed. We had some really generous donations from people who were really moved by the situation that this family was struggling with.
Lindsay Chrisley
GoFundMe is the world's number one fundraising platform, trusted by over 200 million people. Start your GoFundMe today at gofundme.com that's gofundme.com gofundme.com this podcast is supported by GoFundMe. Wait, can we just take a minute to. I have really tried, contrary to to popular belief, I have tried to kind of stay off of Tick Tock, and I kind of have been posting on Instagram and ghosting, so it's not like I'm really consuming that much. But I did see all of the stuff before I made that decision to kind of, like, post and ghost. I saw all this stuff happening with Alex Cooper and Alex Earle.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, my God. Yeah. So Alex Cooper is having a downfall. And I'm gonna say it. I'm more on the hater trajectory, but I'm gonna try to stay neutral on the situation. So there's two Alexes. There's Alex Cooper, who has the Caller Daddy podcast, Unwell Network, and then there's Alex Earl, who is a influencer. She has her own skincare company now. What's on? Dancing with the Stars has a massive following. Basically, we're going to call Get Ready With Me. Yeah, she made the Get Ready With Me.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
So basically, Alex Cooper, who has Call Her Daddy, invited Alix Earle to have a podcast under her network at this time. Alex Earle, who was the one in college, her career was, like, blowing up. I'm talking getting like 3,4 million views on like a Get Ready With Me to go to a college party type video. Like, she was making six plus figures on a brand deal at the time, and she was still just blowing up. Like, her career is booming anyway. So they combine, they have a podcast, they do this whole rollout. Alex Earl goes on, call her daddy, yada, yada, yada. She has the podcast for maybe six months, maybe a year, something like that. And then you see a headline like, oh, they separate ways and they're no longer in business together. So for the past, like two years, people are like, what's the tea? Like, what happened? Da, da, da, da. And like, Alex Earle reposted a TikTok, talking about Alex Cooper again. Holler.
GoFundMe Representative
Daddy.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Being like the TikTok said something like, oh, Alex Cooper is like a leecher and she uses women's vulnerability. She exploits Women's vulnerability. And like said something else, which is kind of true. Like if anybody has a traumatic event like Alex Cooper is knocking at that person's door, like, let's talk about it. And from that repost, I guess Alex Cooper saw it and was like, made a whole TikTok and was like, hey girl, like you said, we're beefing. Like what's the tea Garner's millions of views. And Alix Earl has still yet to comment back from that call out video, which is very interesting.
Lindsay Chrisley
So doesn't Alex Earl have a new reality show that's coming out?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yes, she does. She does. I think it's going to come out on Netflix with her family.
Lindsay Chrisley
So literally everywhere that I have gone, people are talking about this and they're like, Alex Cooper or Alex Earl. I just feel like that situation is petty to be being played out like as businesswoman. Right. Like the Alex Cooper and Alex Earl situation. I personally feel like it's kind of petty for it to play out online. However, I'm saying that knowing that I've done petty online.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, I think it's just like, I don't know.
Lindsay Chrisley
It was definitely giving from Alex Cooper side. It was definitely giving. I don't like the success that she's having. So I'm gonna strum up this beef
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
online for views that and what's also trickled down from that on Alex Cooper side. I forgot which business company wrote an article about this? Oh no, it was Bloomberg wrote a business article basically saying that in their production company Unwell, a lot of the staff is being not treated well. And Matt, her husband and co owner of the company was apparently yelling at employees and there was like multiple occurrences and then. Yeah, so that got leaked to Bloomberg and then this was all over the press and everything. And then they internally had a meeting. Right. But Matt and Alex were not present at said meeting.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh, wow.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. So.
Lindsay Chrisley
So what was it like board members
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
or something that it was like all these. Yeah, it was somebody else that represented high up in their team, something like that was there for that meeting. But it just shows that the truth will always come out eventually and crazy.
Lindsay Chrisley
I mean, I do respect like the, I don't know if you would call it journalism aspect of her. And when I say her, Alex Cooper being able to jump on all of these like big guests with large things that are going on so publicly. I fall into that trap and I like to watch the interviews. But at the same time, do I understand where Alex Earle would be coming from by reposting something Saying that it's kind of. Is predatory the right word?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Exploitative.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I just. I don't know. I watched the Jesse. What is it? Jesse Draper from Secret Lives. I watched her whole thing, and that is just insane. Like, they need to get better PR teams or something, because how do you go on a large interview, like what she did with Alex Cooper, and then come out and do the debauchery that has taken place since then?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I agree. The thing that shocked me the most, speaking of needing pr people, she told call her daddy before telling her kids.
Lindsay Chrisley
Wait, what?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yes. She said that in the thing in the interview. She literally said. Yeah, so we haven't even told her kids yet. Like, we wanted to come together, but I guess that's out the door because the ex husband or the soon to be ex husband, like, leaked it to tmz.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh, wow.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Saying, like, he was filing the leaks to tmz.
Lindsay Chrisley
Just, like, in the reality TV world are freaking wild insane.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I'm like, you guys might just want, like, a check that bad, right?
Lindsay Chrisley
It. It very much felt like that. And then the behavior that has transpired since she did that interview, kissing Chase and then that other guy that she allegedly had the affair with. And then.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
And then there was another guy, too, that I saw a little photo shoot with in the parking lot.
Lindsay Chrisley
Okay, so the other guy that she did the little photo shoot with in the parking lot allegedly was on Taylor Frankie Paul's season of the Bachelorette.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh. So. And I'm like, love's just dipping into everybody's pools.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, that's messy.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I literally said in the podcast, I need to be single, so I don't, like, go into old habits because she's, like, a habitual dater is what she said. And she gets into situations. Like, she's already. This is her second divorce.
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, I did know that it was her second divorce. And I can't really speak on getting into situations that I should absolutely not be in, because I, too, have done that. Yeah. But I think when you know better and then you publicly speak on it, then do better.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah.
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, if you know it's not in the best interest for you to do that, then, you know, maybe post some healing videos. Like, not with a new guy every single day of the week.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. And I'm just like, you have a daughter. That's not a good. Like, it's for any kid, honestly. It's just not a good look. And, like, the Internet is forever, and your kids can look at that for the rest of time.
Lindsay Chrisley
Speaking of Mormon Wives, though. Did you see the rollout of Secret Lives of Mormon wives? The O.C.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
yes, I have many, many thoughts. What do you think about it all? Well, I wonder, you know, I. I don't know. Not everybody's Mormon. Like, I don't know what's going on.
Lindsay Chrisley
It definitely is giving Secret Lives is trying to take the same approach as real housewives, 100%. So it feels very, like, copycat. I will tell you the video that I saw of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Original cast from Utah. There was something, like, really weird about their energy announcing this new show. And it very much felt like, don't tread on us.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, very. I. I don't know. I mean, I'm gonna watch it, I guess, kind of for a backstory. The cast is Aspen ovard, which is Ms. Throuble Queen. Bobby Altoff, which she does a lot of. She did a lot of podcasting. Avery woods, who is a influencer, used to be a nurse. Salome Andrea. I'm not sure she. Who she is. McCall, Dapron, Chandler Higginson, Ashley.
Lindsay Chrisley
Please.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
And Madison Bon Tempo. One of them is one of the star's sisters from Mormon Wives. But, yeah, very, very interesting lineup. And also, Jen is going to be on OC as well. They released that later.
Lindsay Chrisley
I did see that this morning whenever I was scrolling that. That Jen was gonna join the cast of the O.C. i don't know. I don't really know how I feel about it. It's insane to me that now shows are casting from social media influencers. Mm.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
How do you feel about that?
Lindsay Chrisley
I don't know, because in. I feel like in the world, and I'm thinking of when Kale was on Teen mom, and then when I was on Knows Best, people knew us from those shows and we didn't have social media following prior to that. But I think that there has been such a shift just with this, like, newer generation. And as time's gone on, people are gaining followings from TikTok and stuff without needing to be on reality TV. And so I get why production from a reality TV aspect would tap into people who already have followings like that does make sense to me, but at the same time, I think you can only do so much in each space, you know? So what does that look like for their influencing career when they're now going to be taking a ton of time to film a reality TV show?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, I don't know.
Lindsay Chrisley
Really hard to keep up.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, I can only imagine. I. I'm excited to see Aspen over storyline because she said she was like filming a get ready with me video saying that like she's really pulled back in sharing her personal life and it's just mostly about like her relationship at this point. She's not going to show her kids on the show. But I think I knew her from like back in the day, watched her content on YouTube and like she used to show way more. So I'm kind of excited as a follower to see that.
Podcast Sponsor/Ad Voice
All right, y', all, this is something
Lindsay Chrisley
that used to keep me up at
Podcast Sponsor/Ad Voice
night when I started putting Jackson on kids vitamins. Do you guys know that our kids are the first generation growing up on ultra processed foods and the long term effects, we're only beginning to just now understand them. And that is why Haya exists, to give parents a real solution. With a market flooded with kids vitamins to prioritize candy like appeal over actual nutrition. Jackson takes these every day at my house and it will's house and I love it so much. If you have never done research on kids vitamins, some children's vitamins on the market today contain up to 7 grams of sugar per serving and are stuffed with artificial additives like petroleum based dyes. Haya actually took the opposite approach. So zero sugar, zero gummy additives. Just clean nutrition. And the crazy thing is kids actually love them. The taste, the experience, all of it. And what makes Haya different is how thoughtfully it was designed. They looked at what modern kids are actually eating or not eating, and then they formulated around those specific nutritional gaps. And here's something that every parent needs to hear. If getting your kids to eat vegetables feels like an impossible daily battle, Haya's new Kids Daily Greens plus Superfoods is a total game changer. It's basically like chocolate milk stuffed with veggies. And I know that sounds crazy, but Jackson absolutely loves it. It is a greens powder designed specifically for kids that's packed with 55 whole food source ingredients. And you just mix one scoop with milk or a milk alternative and watch them actually enjoy something that is secretly fueling their growing bodies. We were able to work out a special deal with Haya for their bestselling children's vitamins. 50% off your first order to claim this deal you must go to HIA health.com southern tea. This deal is not available on their regular website. Go to H I Y a H E a l t h.com southern t and get your kids the full body nourishment that they need to grow into healthy adults.
Lindsay Chrisley
But how do we feel about that. If you are signing up to be on a show, do you feel like that you should have? I mean, in a show like that where they're following their lives. To me, it's not very authentic if your children aren't going to be on the show. And I say that knowing that if I had to do it again, I would have never had Jackson on Chris Leno's Best. My husband at the time was not a big participant on the show, but it felt very contrived at that point. When you're not showing all of the aspects.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, yeah. I mean, I think even in Mormon Wives, they don't show the kids. Or maybe they did in the first season, now they don't at all. I don't think in this one, this recent season they did at all. I think. Yeah, I mean, it's very. It's not reality. I mean, it's reality tv, but it's like you're not showing the day to day life of being a mom. Like, I don't think that's.
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, and I think those are the most. Those are the, what. What's the word I'm looking for? Those are the most
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
relatable or.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, those are the most relatable aspects of them. Right? Like if you're married or if you're dating or if you're like a mother, all of those aspects to me are so much more relatable. I couldn't imagine being a producer on a TV show and casting somebody and being like, yeah, but you don't have to show all of the real parts of your life.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I know, I know. I don't know. It's just very like, you get a corner a piece and like, that's what you're gonna show. And there's so many. I think there's so many cast members that I think it's too many. Like, Max needs to be like maybe six people or something. But I feel like between both there's just like too many storylines going on and like, there's so much more that you don't know. And that's why like a lot of the cast from the OG series goes on like podcasts and like gives the backstory because, like, they only have like a couple minutes each episode if that to like go over that storyline. And plus, like with the original series, it's mostly gonna be all about Taylor, you know, and like, I don't know who's gonna be like the main character of this new season or new show.
Lindsay Chrisley
It'll be interesting to watch it play Out. Also, I'm really interested to see Madison Bon Tempo because they have so many kids. I know that they lived in Utah. They lived in California and then they moved to Utah for a period of time and then moved back to California. And they have such, like, a clean image. If I were them, I would be so hesitant to join reality tv. Just knowing what reality TV can bring.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, yeah. If they have a clean image, they can just, like, throw that out the door. Good luck. I feel like even if you don't try to be messy, something can go wrong. I. I don't know.
Lindsay Chrisley
And I know that people are so upset. I saw a couple of Tick tocks of people saying that, like, the entire cast isn't Mormon. I'm also in disagreement of that. Like, if it's Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, then it should be Mormons.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I agree. It kind of defeats the purpose of the show. And I think what people are saying is, like, they all got married young, like, at least all the cast members, which, like, I totally understand that. And they're like, Mormon adjacent, I think is the main thing. Like Aspen Ovard, she grew up in Utah, but she was like, never Mormon. Her ex husband was. I think her family practices, but I don't think she ever was. But same thing with Avery. She had her kids very young, so I don't know. We'll see it. We'll see it play out. I'm interested to see how the influencer side of things go. We were talking about experiments earlier. We'll see how that goes and they will report back.
Lindsay Chrisley
So also, did you see that Taylor, Frankie Paul just deleted, like, everything off of her TikTok and Instagram accounts?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, I saw that. She deactivated everything. I think on one of the T pages, I guess her sister commented, like, everybody has their breaking point. And I think that's so true. I heard that they officially resumed filming for Secret Lives of Mormon Wives for season five, and Taylor isn't on there for filming as of, like, that's what I heard of last week. So I don't know if that was
Lindsay Chrisley
part of her crush out. I've heard so much that she's not filming that. She is filming that she's allegedly suing abc. That there's just, like, so much going on with those controversies that have come out. You don't know, like, what's true or what's not. But the. The deleting everything off of Tick Tock and Instagram. I've looked at it one of two ways. Either she's planning, like, A full rebrand surrounding, like a healing journey. And so she wants everything gone and, like, a fresh start or she literally broke.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. I think she needs some serious help. Like, I heard her charges got dropped, which were interesting.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah. From.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I believe it was not from the February of 2023. I think that was. That was already dealt with. But I think the other recent situation that got dropped and she still doesn't have custody, I'm pretty sure of their son. So maybe that has to do with it. Maybe that, like, probably every single opportunity that she had, Bachelorette, any type of other paid partnership, any. Any income coming in or out is probably done. Her kids are taken away from her. What is. Like, she's literally just like, probably sitting in her house and, like, learning how to heal. I don't really know
Lindsay Chrisley
to comment on this with her at this point, just based off of current events and things that I've gone through. Because you don't really know what's going on behind closed doors.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah.
Lindsay Chrisley
And so I could absolutely see. I mean, I have not been well at all. And I could see where the noise of everything being so public would cause you to just, like, want to just, like, wipe everything away and, like, it doesn't exist. I have considered that, like, you would kill me if you woke up one morning and my entire socials were just wiped clean. You would be like, like what?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I would be like, hello? Like, delete, girl.
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, yeah, delete the app. Don't delete all of the content that's there. But I have honestly contemplated that myself.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. Yeah.
Lindsay Chrisley
I just really want to wipe away everything that transpired except my public stuff with my ex husband. Like, that would be something I would leave.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I meant to ask you. People were up in arms about your little. Happy birthday, Willard.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh, I forgot that I did that.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, yeah, yeah, I saw that. I said, oh, okay. Okay.
Lindsay Chrisley
I mean, is it bad to say happy birthday to your baby daddy publicly?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I mean, I don't know. Is it?
Lindsay Chrisley
I mean, what were people saying?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
They were just like, oh, she wants us for attention. Like, she's always doing something for attention. Why'd she have to choose that picture? I'm like, let her have a little fun on the Internet. I don't think it was, like, that deep of a thing.
Lindsay Chrisley
It wasn't that deep.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, I know.
Lindsay Chrisley
And I'm like, okay, if that's. If that's what you want to say. Also, I'm kind of in a space that I want as little attention as possible because I don't want to have to filter through it.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Exactly.
Lindsay Chrisley
And so, hey, guess what? It was my ex husband's 37th birthday and I said happy birthday to him on Instagram. And it felt really weird to me that I would be posting for my best friends birthday that was being celebrated on Will's birthday and then also not say happy birthday to him publicly.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, yeah. It's not that deep. I think it's just like, you guys have a son together. It is what it is. Like, let's just move on and hyper fixate about something else.
Lindsay Chrisley
I mean, seriously, we had a lot together.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Exactly.
Lindsay Chrisley
And I mean, to be with somebody for as long as I was with him, our friendship's never going away.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. You guys will always have that bond.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
No matter what. So people need a little gentle.
Lindsay Chrisley
I'm glad that people were all up in arms about that, though.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I know people are freaking out. Oh, before I forget to ask, people wanted an Opie update.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh, an Opie update. Okay. So I am in text communication with. I don't know, are we calling her Op's rehabber? We calling her Op's mom? So I communicate with her every single week and get updates. She is literally the most precious little possum that I've ever seen. And I act like I've seen, like, a whole bunch of possums. I haven't. She's just so cute. And I was really concerned because she was not eating, peeing, or pooping. Except right after we got her into the box, she peed and pooped immediately, which I read that was a good sign. But then she didn't pee or poop for days. And so I was like, oh, no. Oh, no. But she's doing really well. She has a lot of energy. She is so freaking precious. Like, she literally looks like a house pet.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, my God. Yeah. People were like when we posted that video of you getting Opie, like, people were like, I'll take her. Please ship her to me. Blah, blah, blah. So. Oh, she's so cute. I'll post that in the. The dump on that I post every week for Southern tea so they could see an Opie update.
Lindsay Chrisley
She is just out there living her best life. I know a lot of people had sent me messages asking if there were, like, any more. And so I didn't really know anything about possums before I found her, but apparently they have, like, quite a few babies. And I looked all over my yard to see if there were any more, like, around. I walked towards the golf course to see if maybe, like, any. I don't know fell out. There were none. She was, like, the solo one. And I am very conflicted because when I flipped Opie's mom over, it almost made it look like she possibly died in childbirth. But then I don't think it's possible, because unless she set up, like, some type of sepsis because she couldn't get a baby out. But Opie had to have been several weeks old because they're born without hair.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah.
Lindsay Chrisley
So I don't know what happened, but when I tell you she looked like she was just, like, walking and then just, like, peacefully passed away. Like, her little head was just, like, turned to the side. And it also was crazy because I don't know how long she had been there. I'm gonna assume some somewhere around the time of 24 to 48 hours that she was in the backyard like that. My neighbor is pretty, like, on top of everything. And so she normally sees everything pretty much in real time. And so when she said, hey, Lindsay, there's a possum in your backyard, I'm like, okay, let me go check it out. She could have only been back there for, like, a day, but Opie was still nursing. So when we pulled her, like, out, we had to, like, pull her off of her mama's boob.

Good hair days do more than we give them credit for. And when your hair feels healthy, you show up differently. You're more confident, more relaxed, and you're not constantly checking mirrors and adjusting your hair. I can totally relate to this. I started my Nutrafold journey before I put my extensions back in, and it made my hair so, so healthy for me to be able to go on this new journey. With Nutrafol, your hair becomes one less thing competing for your attention throughout the day. wanted to share because you sent me a text about it but somebody sent you a DM being talking about like the symbolization.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh yeah, yeah.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
They said seeing a baby possum often symbolizes protection, new beginnings and the need for adaptability. Spiritual spirituality. They represent a gentle reminder to trust your intuition and use strategic thinking to navigate life's challenges. So I just thought that was beautiful.
Lindsay Chrisley
Maybe it's just symbolic. You know what I mean?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Opie is such a good sign. And should Lindsay keep Opie?
Lindsay Chrisley
I would love to be able to keep Opie. I think Jackson would actually be more excited to keep Opie than I would. But right now she's so small. I don't know if it's legal.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I don't know. You could be a long distance mother.
Lindsay Chrisley
Maybe. I'm not sure about the legalities of that so I would need to look into that. But also I have so much travel coming up. Will has so much travel coming up. I have our two dogs at the house right now and so I could not even imagine what those dogs if they saw, like, a little tiny possum what would transpire. And it's not a risk that I'm willing to take. But, yeah, there's just, like, so much. Because next week. What is it next week? Kayl's coming next week. Kayl will be at my house for a couple of days and then have court, and then I leave for New York, which I am like, Kayla and I are both up in arms about this. So the Webbies always does their, I guess, like, ceremony or whatever for the award show. They always do that on Mother's Day weekend. And I'm like, I love that we want it, but what are we supposed to do? Our kids are literally because of us. Becoming mothers are why we're able to do what we've been able to do. And now I'm just, like, leaving to go to New York for the weekend while my kids at home.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I mean, you guys. You guys can celebrate another day. But, I mean, yeah, it is hard, I think. Yeah, it's just crappy timing on their part.
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, Jackson's like, so can me and dad go with you to New York? And I'm like, wow, that would be.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
That would be very interesting.
Lindsay Chrisley
Do you know that he's wanted to go to New York so bad since Pets came out?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, you told me that. That's so sweet.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah. And so he's like, I just want to go and, like, explore and, like, see what New York is and all of the things. And then. I don't know if you knew this, but Jackson is a huge Clemson fan. And the quarterback of Clemson, Kate Clubnik, got picked up by the jets in the draft. And so now he really wants to. He's like, let's go.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
We should make that a thing. You should come to New York with Jackson. I could show you all the fan. I'll go for fun. I'll always go.
Lindsay Chrisley
What fan are you?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Myself?
Lindsay Chrisley
The gays just. You're one gays.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I don't. I don't follow sports like that. Lindsay. I respect it. I'll go to a game.
Lindsay Chrisley
But, like, our whole life for the past week has been surrounded by the draft.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Very interesting. Who are you? How does that even work? Like, are you. Who you going for? Is it, like, girl?
Lindsay Chrisley
Jackson follows college football so heavily and so does Will that they just want to watch, like, every round of the draft. They want to make bets on who they think is going to get drafted first and what round. Like, it is a big deal. And if I had to hear such and such was selected at this Number in the draft to blah, blah, blah, one more time. I'm so glad it's over. But I'm like, me. The only person I was interested in regarding the draft was Kate Klubnick and where he was going to go.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Okay, that's valid.
Lindsay Chrisley
That's my extent of the draft. And it's like, we literally roll from the Masters, which is something that Will watches habitually. That is a couch potato weekend that you are going to be sitting and eating snacks and watching every stroke of the Masters. And then we go from that to the NFL draft. I'm like, okay, I'm done. Right.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Are they obsessed with, like, all sports? Are they obsessed with, like, baseball or anything?
Lindsay Chrisley
Baseball. Professional baseball. College football. Professional football.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Okay, okay.
Lindsay Chrisley
Professional.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Okay.
Lindsay Chrisley
Did you play any sports growing up? Yeah, I ran cross country and track and I cheered, and that's my extent of sports. I was gonna play soccer one time, but I'm just like. That could really up my toenails.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
That's your priority.
Lindsay Chrisley
That is absolutely my priority. Actually, I was having a conversation with my best friend yesterday. We were just chit chatting, and we said, literally, there is one thing about us that will never go undone. I could have the most heinous nails, like, all jacked up. Doesn't matter. Toenails are one thing that I will never get over. Like, there will not be any dirty toenails in my house if there is any white, like, on the end of them. Jackson's absolutely getting his toenails cut. I don't want any white on the end of mine. I was always, like, really, really diligent about cutting his fingernails and toenails until he turned nine. And then Will's like, oh, he's got to learn to do this by himself. And I'm like, I'm not waiting for him to do it by himself. So I have to see the white parts of toenails. Like, I'm just. I can't do it. Kayl and I are also very similar in that way. Like, when the kids come back from the other parents, we are cleaning out ears and we are clipping fingernails and toenails.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Wow. Wow. Do you have a color that you keep your toes all the time? I know a lot of people love the white toenails. French.
Lindsay Chrisley
I have the white toe right now. Okay. And I typically keep it
Podcast Sponsor/Ad Voice
pretty much
Lindsay Chrisley
unless I'm going to the beach or something like that, because I don't like the way that the white looks if it chips. So I'll go and get, like, a light pink or Something so you can't really tell if it's going to chip. I do wear black most of the winter.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Black toes.
Lindsay Chrisley
Black toes. What? Yeah. Did you know that white toes were dubbed, like, the official hotel?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
No, I didn't know that.
Listener Caller
Yeah.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah. But black toes, like, that is definitely a thing for me in the winter. But I feel like it stains your toenails, and I looked up, like, how to get stains off of your toenails, and it's limes or lime juice. Oh, yeah. And you, like. Like, wipe it over your toenails and it gets rid, I guess, like, the acid in it or whatever gets rid of the stains. Right.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Lindsay Chrisley, the woman who wants stains out of her toenails and all of her clothes.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yes, ma'. Am. Yes, ma'.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Am.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah. So outside of that, the rest of the week for me, looks like I am preparing for Kale to be here. I don't really have house guests at my house, so this is going to be. I won't say a first, because Hunter stays over here sometimes with me. Cali stayed over here. But as far as, like, multiple days somebody being here, this will be a first. But I'm honestly really, really excited about it. And I'm trying to figure out if we're gonna grill or if we're gonna, like, cater. Like, what do, like, for people who host and have people in their home, is it better to do, like, a grill type situation, or are we catering? But is that, like, lazy?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
You know, I think it's, like, half and half. I think you guys are recording the podcast, so I think. Would you guys really want to grill at the end of a long day?
Lindsay Chrisley
I mean, I think it would kind of be fun.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. Okay. Well, it depends on, like, the stamina and the vibes, so.
Lindsay Chrisley
I know, but in order to be a proper host for house guest, you need to, like, know in advance, like, do I need meat here? Do I need sides? Like, what do I need? Do I need to prepare to order for delivery? Like, am I overthinking this?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yes, but I'll allow you to hyper fixate on that other than other things, you know?
Lindsay Chrisley
So does anybody else also do this where when you have house guests, you order new towels for the guest bathroom?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
No, I get fresh. I get fresh sheets all the time. I don't know why.
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, I have a lot.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. Whenever I have, like, guest sleepover, that's, like, not like my. I had my mom come over recently, and I got, like, new sheets.
Lindsay Chrisley
Interesting.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Because I have a bunch of towels, but I Have like my favorite ones that I only use. So I have like a bunch of extra. So yeah, I'm like that with sheets because I'm. I know she'll say something.
Lindsay Chrisley
You know she will.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, yeah. 100. I'm like, well, this isn't your place, so let me be.
Lindsay Chrisley
Do you hear what it sounds like upstairs at my house?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Here we are again with the vacuum.
Lindsay Chrisley
Lindsay, the vacuum. The vacuum never rests here, honey. Oh, I forgot to tell you.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
What?
Lindsay Chrisley
I pressure wash all of my porches off. Oh, probably. It really did take me probably about five days because, you know, you've got to like move everything off and then, you know, you got to blow all the crap that falls on there off. And then you get to do the pressure washing part and then you got to like let it dry and then you've got to see if there's any marks still. And then you go back, you know, so this is like a whole week long process. And I just realized that as of this morning that the pollen is not over. So I'm gonna be pressure washing for another entire week.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Can you do me a favor, though?
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Can you wear shoes, like, not flip flops? Okay. You did. Because in the video that you sent me, that's shoes, like covering your toes. Do you want your toe to fall off? Because we got, I'm telling you, like, 50 DMs being like, does she want to lose a toe?
Lindsay Chrisley
I'm not spraying like that close to my feet that it's gonna knock my toe off. You know, we just want you to
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
have all five of them on each foot. Okay. We're looking at me.
Lindsay Chrisley
Tell you something about me. I could wear flip flops or sandals all year long. I absolutely hate closed toed shoes.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Really?
Lindsay Chrisley
Like, I hate them.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I like my feet being warm.
Lindsay Chrisley
So I don't. I like my feet and my toes to breathe.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
That's also valid, I think. It kind of depends. Do you drive with shoes or.
Lindsay Chrisley
No, it's against the law not to.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, okay. We're always driving with shoes, then we're always driving with.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yes.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Okay.
Lindsay Chrisley
It's very against the law.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Okay. You learn something new every day.
Lindsay Chrisley
Every day, hon. Listen, the. The pressure washing, though, that I did in the state that I'm in was so healing.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Is it just like, are you listening to music or is it just you and the pressure washer and just like vibes?
Lindsay Chrisley
Okay, well, I kind of pissed a couple of people off because I tried to have phone conversations while I was pressure washing. And they're like, Lindsay, like, we can't talk right now because we hear all of that going on in the background and it's driving me nuts. So I try to make a couple phone calls and I'm just like, whatever. No, I literally am just off my phone.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
That's great.
Lindsay Chrisley
It's really nice.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
That's great. Yeah. No, you're so funny. Trying to take like calls and just being like, hey, so what do you think about.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, right. That's literally me and it's, it's so insane. But at the same time I'm like, oh, I love to be able to get like two, two things done at once.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah. Big multitasker.
Lindsay Chrisley
Huge multitasker. Except I don't do well multitasking.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I don't know how. I don't know how people go on like the walkable treadmills at home with their desk and like type emails. I'm like, I would follow.
Lindsay Chrisley
Oh my God. I wanted to get one of those but I'm like, I will have road rash everywhere.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I would too. I'm like, I can't do that. I could do it and be on like a call. Right. Like get my steps in, whatever. But I couldn't like type an email
Lindsay Chrisley
if I'm like, on this.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
We're getting a live demonstration.
Lindsay Chrisley
No, no, no. That is like next level multitasking.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I know, like crazy hand eye coordination.
Lindsay Chrisley
I'm sorry, do you like the, the standing desk?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I don't mind it.
Lindsay Chrisley
I feel like my ex sister in law had one like when they first came out and I'm like, that is so insane. Like, why are you doing the standing desk? But it like makes so much sense to me now.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah, it makes sense to me. I could see it. I don't think it's like that unrealistic, but I don't think it's necessary.
Lindsay Chrisley
The walking pads though, are insane. Yeah. Like anybody who's listening to this that has a walking pad and you're typing emails.
Podcast Sponsor/Ad Voice
What are you doing?
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
They're on a superior level of hand eye coordination and multitasking that I'm.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah, that's something I don't have. Yeah, no, the hand eye coordination. No. I'm also not going to wear closed toed shoes when I pressure wash again. So if I lose my toe then I know that you guys warned me here. Yep. But I just can't stand. Also, like, it's like the wet shoe thing, you know what I mean? Like with your feet and a pair of sh. Shoes and then like the socks are
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
wet like a, like a Croc.
Lindsay Chrisley
Well, I don't have any crocs.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Oh, okay.
Lindsay Chrisley
Yeah. And on that note, we're going to listen to a voicemail from our listeners, so please do not forget. Listener Caller
Hi, Lindsay. I love you so much to listen to you every week and I am in desperate, desperate, desperate need of advice. A couple weeks ago, I found out that my husband was having an emotional affair with his co worker and had started developing feelings for her and taking her on dates. And I found all this out by looking at his phone. Hot tip, new app to look through ChatGPT. He was using ChatGPT as a counselor and exposed all of his feelings and ChatGPT was encouraging him, hyping him up. So proud of him for realizing these feelings. Definitely look through that ChatGPT thread. But anyway, so I found out he was having this relationship with this girl. I looked through his phone, found all that out, woke him up, told him I knew everything, was very emotional, I wanted a separation. And now he is saying that this is not what he wants, that he just now realizes that he was being stupid and he was more attracted to the version of himself that he was being more than he was attracted to the girl. So he was attracted to his charisma, his confidence, the way that he was able to get someone to have feelings for him and that he was like missing this part of him. But he realizes that he completely fucked up. That wasn't the way to go about it. And he actually does want me and want our marriage and all of the feelings that he had are not real. And I just don't know if I can come back from that. That was. That was a level of cheating that I don't know if I can come back from where you invested feelings for another person. And I also don't know how long this relationship would have kept going if I didn't find out. What if I did? I did. What if I did not look through his phone, find that out in this relationship that kept developing and it ended up turning into physical cheating. And I don't know what to do. How am I supposed to come back from this? Feel emotionally safe, feel secure in our marriage, not have doubts, not have insecurities, not have triggers, not feel the need to look through his phone all the time? How am I supposed to be able to be stable again, knowing that he was capable of this.
Lindsay Chrisley
Wow. I have said many of times, probably publicly, I don't know, but definitely privately that all cheating is something that I'm not okay with and likely could not recover from. There would never be a full recovery and there would always be. Sorry.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
It's like the Southern tea featuring the vacuum. At this point,
Lindsay Chrisley
I could never recover from any cheating, whether it be physical or whether it be emotional. With that being said, I believe emotional affairs are worse than a physical one. Because if it's just physical and I, I'm not saying that lightly, but if it's just physical and there are no emotions behind the physicality of that relationship, that's one thing. But to emotionally invest in someone else and have conversations like that, I could never recover from that.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I got an either. I mean to go behind someone's back in a workplace and be interested in with them and somebody that you work with, you know, and see 40 hours a week in person or not, and then go to lengths of talking to chat, GBT and being like asking for advice, which first of all like disgusting, like what you're too embarrassed to ask a friend so you have to ask an AI chat. Okay. And second of all, I think the emotional cheating just goes way deeper. Like physical. Not saying it's any better, but it's like that could be. It's a way quicker of a activity of cheating versus emotional. There is a lot more detail to that.
Lindsay Chrisley
I tend to agree with that. Also, the grass is not always greener on the other side. So investing in, and I've had to learn this the hard way, investing in your relationship versus going to try to find something new, invest in your relationship and take that stuff back. And I do believe that sometimes people do cheat and I think it's probably somewhat common the way that she's saying that her husband felt that he liked himself and the way that he was in that emotional. Are we calling it an affair? Yeah, emotional affair. I do think that there is some truth to people having those feelings and liking themselves better outside of, you know, in the long term relationship that they've been in. Mm, yeah.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I don't know. I think, I don't know. We don't know the situation at hand. I don't know if there's kids involved, I don't know how long they've been together. I don't know any other factors like that. But based off of pure what she's saying, I think, I don't know, just go to therapy Try to figure it out. I think if you're married like you, I'm the type of person where, as shitty as it is, I would try to give it my best shot and know that I tried instead of just being like, okay, that's it. And not live with that regret.
Lindsay Chrisley
But I think that you have to get to a point to where you really identify like who you are as a person in a situation like that. Like, work on identifying if it is something that you're ever going to be able to recover from. Because I would not agree that give it my best shot if I know for a fact that I'm not going to be able to get over it.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
Yeah.
Lindsay Chrisley
If it's going to come up in every argument or, you know, any type of communication that might be, you know, hostile or, you know, just like a regular everyday argument, if the stuff's going to come up, you're not doing yourself a service or that other person and it likely will happen again.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
100%. 100%. So unless you're able to a hundred and thousand percent let go, then don't do it. But.
Lindsay Chrisley
And there are people who can get over it.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
I couldn't do that.
Lindsay Chrisley
I've seen it. And I'm like, more power to you. But that's just not the way that I'm cut.
Co-host/Friend of Lindsay
No, I'd rather just like total cut off than like having this lingering thing of being like, oh, are they gonna cheat on me again? Oh, this person at work is a little too friendly with them. Are they flirting with them too? Like, I feel like I would never be able to recover from that.
Lindsay Chrisley
The intrusive thoughts would be absolutely crazy. But would love to know what people who are listening how you would feel about this situation. My house literally sounds like it is about to break and they're about to fall through the ceiling. So with that being said, thank you guys for listening and tuning in every single week.
